About Checkout 51

Checkout 51 is a new company that offers an updated type of coupon service that promises to help people save money on their groceries with a cashback reward system anyone can use.

How Does It Work?

Members can sign up on their website or through their mobile applications for an account. Each Thursday new cashback deals will be posted to their site and you can search through them to see if you are interested in any of the posted items.

When you purchase any of the items listed on their deals, you will receive the cashback amount credited to your account by taking a picture of your receipt confirming the purchase and uploading it for confirmation of purchase.

Once your account has been credited a minimum of $20 in cashback credit, you can request a check be sent to you.

Cost/Price Plans

Checkout 51 works by partnering with retailers and product brands, and because of this is able to offer their services and their mobile applications to members for free.

Mobile Options

At this time, they do offer a free application for both iOS and Android operating systems.

Refund Policy

Since this company does not charge any money for their service, they also do not offer a published Refund Policy. Customers that have issues with something they have purchased must contact the retailer from whom they made the purchase in order to receive a refund.

Customer Service Contact Info

Customers who wish to speak with Customer Service about their questions, concerns, or complaints can do so by traditional mail at 411 Richmond Street East, Suite 101, Toronto, ON M5A 3S5, Canada, or by submitting them directly to their website via their Contact Us link.

Reputation

This company seems to have a very warm reception both by members and by third party independent reviewers since they launched in January of 2014. Members say they honor their deals and issue checks in a timely manner, which is one of the most important, if not the most important, aspect of these types of services.

Competitors and Alternatives?

There are many other coupon services and mobile applications that have been created and designed for the purposes of helping people save money, including the Ibotta App, Shopkick, ShopAdvisor, and more.

This is a wonderful web site but there is difficulty in getting your items claimed. I bought 2 boxes of Kashi Cereal and the required Rasberries to go with it and I have had nothing but trouble getting the products claimed. I only needed to buy 1 box of this cereal and I submitted a request for review of the receipt more than five times. I have not received credit for this to date and they now want me to take a photo of the item and submit that.
Since I give away almost everything I buy on the list because I do not use it, I no longer have the Cereal and cannot take a photo. It's now too late and I am being left out of getting credit for something I bought that would give me a bonus.
The receipts in the US are different from Canada and maybe the company should have a US citizen stationed here in the US so they can recognize what the scan coordinators put the items in as.
