Don Lapre is
one of the most well known infomercial kings
that have hit the market. For over a decade
Don Lapre ruled the airwaves with his well
hyped product line. Don Lapre’s motivational
speeches and simplistic approach to making
money has grown him a substantial following.
Don Lapre’s training courses focus on
some specific ways to make money. Don Lapre
advocates taking out ads in various
newspapers nationwide as a major marketing
strategy. He also discusses reminder
services, government auctions, and 900
numbers.
However, the era of the Don Lapre’s of
marketing and info products has long passed.
The information that he provides has long
been outdated and yields no profit this day
and age. The information boom of the
nineties has left Don Lapre in the dust.
Although Don Lapre has come under
heavy criticism for his substandard products
and his heavy up selling techniques it's
not all Don Lapre’s fault. In 1999 his
company had come into financial troubles and
filed for bankruptcy. During this process
the rights to his info products were bought
up by a third party company that now sells
the outdated Don Lapre material.
Despites Don’s protests to the
mismanagement of his products and the
company’s failure to update the material, he
has been forced to move on as the issue is
tied up in lengthy litigation.
His latest endeavor is marketing and
selling what he has come to call the
greatest vitamin in the world. This is more
of the same from Don Lapre; it’s not even
about the product but the recruitment of
independent sales reps for the vitamins in
the typical multi-level-market fashion.
Overall Don Lapre has had his heyday but had burned too many bridges to stay
on top. If it’s not 900 numbers it’s some
other over hyped useless product from him.
These days the only people falling for Don Lapre’s shtick are inexperienced first
timers looking to make a fast buck without
any work.

Several months back I join "the greatest vitamin in the world" I used the product myself, which wasn't bad but not all that great either. I sold maybe 8 bottles of vitamins thru online advertising. About 4 months after got started with this business it went belly up. Nuff said.
