Google Home Business Kit Review

Is the Google Kit a Scam...?

Recently there has been a wave of work at home programs all claiming that they can show you how to make money from Google.  They all sell a Google Home Business Kit for a low shipping and handling fee from $1.99 - $3.88.

These programs consist of a CD, and a membership website that hosts the courses. The lessons teach you how to use Google AdWords to place advertisements for programs that you are an affiliate for.

They also advocate setting up fake blogs and websites to advertise the same Google Kit that you just bought.  You may have seen ads like these on Facebook and MySpace.  Don't be fooled by these and other sites claiming that you can make money from these programs; any income they're receiving is simply from referring more people to join these sites.

So Are These Google Biz Kits Scams...?

The catch with all these programs is that once you submit your billing info to pay for the S&H you automatically agree to their membership program.  When you apply for the Google Home Business Kit you're also authorizing them to charge you a membership fee of up to $70 a month.

This is why these Google Home Business Kits have been called out as serious scams.  Most people don't see the fine print which they have cleverly hidden throughout their site.  Then a month later they're shocked to see a fee of $70 which they haven't authorized.

There have also been thousands of complaints made against these Google Kit companies, by people who've been charged the monthly fees without even receiving the CD's and membership info.

Now, the guys running these scams are not stupid and are obviously very good at what they do.  They've taken many measures to ensure that they can keep operating their scams long term.  This includes hiding their websites' URLs and consistently changing the names of their programs.

This is what makes my job so difficult, it's almost impossible to keep up with them.  When one product is no longer selling they simply change the name and viola they have a new Google Home Business Kit to sell.  For instance they've just switched the name to Google Money Master.

By the time there're enough complaints and articles exposing them they've already moved on to a new name and website.  I want to show you some examples of these Google Kit sites which you should avoid, I'm also including a long list of program names that they've used in the past along with a collection of fake affiliate blogs that they use to promote them.

Examples of Earn Google Cash Sites to Beware of...

Easy Google Profit Google Money Master
Google Home Business Kit Google Cash Kit

These websites were advertised through a series of fake blogs set up specifically to sell Google Biz Kits.  Most were filled with pictures of a young person, their big checks from Google, and fake comments towards the bottom.

Recently, these scammers have switched to using fake news paper articles to promote the Google BizKits. They often use names (and even logos) like the Los Angeles Times or ABC News and feature a top "story" of how you can make a fortune by simply purchasing one of these Google Kits. You should be wary of any such news articles as they're popping up everywhere.

Here's an example of these fake blog and news sites...

Fake News Article fake blog

If you see an ad for one of these blogs or "newspapers" save yourself the time and don't visit them, as they'll only redirect you to one of these Google Home Business Kits.

DO NOT purchase a Goggle Home business kit! It really is too good to be true. Although their site is secure I did not receive my CD and additional funds have been taken from my account!

I almost bought this kit - thank you so much for posting your article here. I read some of the comments, and I just wanted to post and inform people, don't get fooled when you see a story "from your area" on a website - these ads run programming code to see what city, state your internet provider's server is from and add that to the fake testimonial. :)

They got me twice. I finally got through to Google by phone. Then I realized I had been charged by two different companies one PZZ charging me $79.90 after a week and the other $99.94. Neither will return my money even though they Fraudulently said they were Google. I think we all should get together and do a class action suit. We all sit back and take it because the amount is not to much well let me tell you I do not know about you but I cannot afford to give money away for nothing. Some attorney should pick up on this one it is really beginning to go way to far.

You can add me to the list of people that have been scammed. I never received the kit but they charged me $79.90 for 2 months in a row before I caught them. They refused to refund my money because they said they had listed their terms (in extremely fine print at the very bottom) of the original add.

I almost just paid for the shipping but decided to google complaints/scams about it first. After reading all the scam complaints, etc, I wondered how could a company with as good of a reputation as GOOGLE partake in scams. I mean, GOOGLE is great and everyone knows it so I highly doubt they'd be involved in a scam or anything. Then I read the fine print

"Google™ does not endorse or sponsor this site and is in no way affiliated with Home Business Kit Using Google.

And there's your answer. If google endorsed it, I would've gone on with my purchase for shipping. Thank God I didn't.

They Got Me!   Bowie,MD

12:41pm on Tuesday, October 6th, 2009

I saw the advertisement on a friends FaceBook page. It stated, "Google is helping people make money". The add showed a woman who lived in Bowie, Md. who had just lost her job and her husband was also layed off. Her story stated that she now made $5500.00 from her online business. The article emphasized that you only had to spend $1.95 to get started. So I joined, with the hopes of making some extra cash to pay for my daughter tuition and pay off my debt. After I joined, I noticed the fine print that stated after my 7 day trial period, I would be charges $79.90 per month for Website Services. Then I noticed that I was connected to a Free Service for Amazon.com which gave me a 21 day free trial and then I would be charged $24.90 a month. I was also connected to 25 day trial with Clicksellgo.com which gave me a 25 day tiral period and then I would be charged a fee after that. All of them had different contact numbers and all of them had my credit card number. What a nightmare. This has been like HELL for me trying to ensure that no additional charges to my account are made. In an attempt to increase my cash flow, I opened the door to strangers, hiding behind a trusted name like GOOGLE to steal my money. I hate this and I am shocked that GOOGLE is allowing this to happen. PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD.

I just got scammed as well, emailed them to cancel the SAME day I ordered the 1.97 kit, never got it and now we find out today that my husbands unemployment card is charged the $69__ whatever and we've gotten a hold of Missouri and they will be disputing the transaction. However, if it goes through and we're still charged that amount of money (which we're still out) I will be taking this to court against this so called google affiliated company. I have call records, email and this website information. I got fooled into this via the young woman on the news who's family was laid off, so I thought like many others, great! I can do this too and help my laid off husband out! We're both in college and as many know, college students aren't rich.

I called their service line and they told me "we're having technical difficulties" I asked him, "For over two weeks??" "Yes Ma'am" he said. I thought it was a crock of bull Q#$%, so, I got the reps name, # and the business, by what I could understand is profitstodeallearning.com or what I could make out from what this guy said. I found this alert website AFTER I got suckered in, sadly.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS ARTICLE!! My husband and I have 4 kids and are in a HUGE financial hole rght now, my husband lost his job is now working at Walmart for minimum wage and I have been a mom since highschool and cant find a job that will pay me enough money to make it worth sticking my precious babies in a daycare all day. My husband found a link to a "blog" on Craigslist while he was looking for a better paying job and wanted me to look in to doing this at home. I decided to do my research before paying out anything and came across this page, I am so greatfull to the person who debunks these "to good to be true" make money at home scams, you truly saved our lives on this one, 70$ a month is the difference between paying our water bill next month and not. Thanks again and GOD BLESS YOU!

I didn't buy into this but I came here to see what was going on. Kind of figured it was a scam. This is what I think we should ALL do....Look up your local police department website, look under contact us, get their email address, name of your police Chief and his or her phone number. Go to the scammers ad and fill out the info with the information you gathered. Pretty soon the ads will disappear. LMAO

I was also scammed by this Google Job Kit...I was charged over $70 without receiving a kit and I had only signed up for information to be sent to me at $1.97...I was DUPED!!! They are also going to charge me $70 a MONTH until I cancel. I DO have a number to call 1-800-497-4988 where they say they will cancel me. I will never get my money back but I am going to have to cancel my bank card and get a new number. This has taught me a LESSON. I will NEVER buy ANYTHING online again!

I signed up a few minutes ago but when I did not get any type of confirmation page I backspaced and saw the T's&C's. They then mentioned all of the fine print items and a call in number. I called and spoke with someone and got details on how the program worked but when I said the name of the service was "Google Biz Kit" the customer service rep was quick to claim they were not associated with that company and that they were instead called "Cash for Success". Red alert went off and I canceled and got a cancellation #. Also called my cc company and warned of the charges and they are ready to dispute if I get charged. "Too good to be true" is the correct phrase. If scammers put their energy into helping people instead of taking advantage of them this country would be in a lot better shape.

I luckily came across these articles the very next morning after signing up for this last night. I fell for this hook, line and sinker. Just today. My mother is sick and needs constant care so I thought this would be the perfect solution for me to stay home with her and still make decent money. I found them on a legitimate looking newspaper website. I signed up and gave debit card info. I checked my account online and saw that I was immediately charged the $1.97. Then a light bulb finally came on in my head and I googled it and came up with this site. I quickly called my bank and canceled my card and a new one is on the way. Thank God I found this site before they had time to charge anything else to my account.

I too fell for this scam and felt really stupid for not doing some research. My fiance has been out of work for over a year with no prospective opportunities, so trying to find other options out there the idea of creating ads for google was rather enticing. Luckily, I only paid for the first $1.97 and got the confirmation email and read it. I tried logging into the account and there was nothing there but instructions and no explanation on how to setup the business. I said to myself..this is not what was advertised, so I went back and read the email once more. Buried at the bottom of the email it stated that I had signed up for a membership at $79.90 a month. Boy had I felt scammed. It was late so my back was closed and so was the company. Called this morning during normal business hours as advertised on the email and was told that I was calling after hours. Nice scam. I called my bank and told them what happened..so all I lost out on was $1.97, they were going to cancel my card so no further transactions would go through. Next time I know not to fall for any of these ads and I will do my research before I act. Now I wonder what kinds of phone calls I will be getting.

I fell for it, got charged the shipping and then the $79.99. didn't notice it until after the 7 day period. So I called and complained called back and complained and called back over and over again for about an hour... I was really mean and nasty. eventually they offered to give me a courtesy credit of $39.99. I took it and it just cleared. I'm about to start calling again... even if I don't get the other $40 back, it makes me feel better.

This is a scam, they say they are affiliated with Google, but they are not. When you cancel, they say you didn't ask for a refund, and you have to keep calling...Someone with some connections to google should take a serious look at this scam.

It's an absolute con. I never received *anything* other than an email, and getting them to stop billing my Credit card required me to cancel the card completely...

This isn't a program you want to buy. In fact, they are using a telemarketing outfit called PMI Coaching, who once stole over a 1/2 million dollars using my husbands' good name, and we were forced to completely dis-associate ourselves from them.

I ordered to do research for my husband, and I would strongly recommend you read all the free info on the web if you want to get involved with Google Adwords/Adsense - since that's about all you will get anyway.

I ordered the Google biz kit on Wednesday morning. It's now Friday morning and I just noticed a charge of $79.90 being held in my account for this biz kit mess. I was told there was a charge of $1.95 for shipping, so I was expecting to receive something in the mail. Anyhow, I immediately contacted my bank to see what I could do, and they gave me a contact number for the company. I called the number, and the lady I spoke with told me I had to cancel within 24 hours which was the trial period. I told her how could I cancel something that I hadn't received yet. She asked me what was I expecting to receive. I told her I hadn't received the kit. She then told me I wasn't going to receive anything physically and I could cancel, but I would not get my money back. I asked her why was I being charged a shipping fee if they weren't shipping anything. She didn't give me a legitimate reason. I argued back and forth with her and ended up hanging up on her. I then decided to call back and talk with someone else. She was more helpful. She told me to read the terms and conditions and I did while I was on the phone with her. I noticed I had 7 days to cancel instead of the 24 hours the other lady told me I had. It had only been 48 hours. (I called as soon as I noticed the money coming out of my account. It was being held, hadn't even posted yet). I started reading them to the lady over the phone, and that's when she told me she was crediting my account back 79.90. I hadn't received my money yet, but I am hopeful. If I don't receive it within 3-5 business days, I will be filing a dispute with BBB and my bank against them. Hope no one else has to go through this. Here's the information to call or contact them about your concerns: Should be Scam A-holes at

This is definitely a scam. If you call and cancel be sure and get a verification number or they will charge your account $69.97 and you will receive NOTHING. Stay away from this as these people are stealing your money, and they claim once it is lost in the system there is nothing they can do about it. I really thought this was legit considering it had Google attached to it. I called them back after I was hit w/79.90. It was only suppose to coast 1.97 which they advertised. Unless you read the Terms & Conditions, which no one really does, you will never see the posting of the charge. I begged and pleaded with someone at a 800 number that I couldn't afford to be charged that amount and I never would have agreed to it. They just kept saying "I am sorry mam, but you did agree to the Terms and conditions". How can we stop them?

OMG, just like all the others I almost signed up....I am a true believer in "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is". The internet is an amazing tool...for good and not so good reasons. ALWAYS DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH....Any JOB, that requires very little work for a large pay off is a SCAM>>>>>>>>

I almost fell for the Google Biz Kit which has an expiration date of September 30, 2009. And get this, the person advertising her good fortune after losing her job....Brittany Murphy. I swear, that's the name of the person. If you wanna laugh you can check it out at http://brit-job.com/. Too much. I don't know if they were trying to play on the idea of using a celebrities name or not. Either way, it's amazing. I saw a similar scam yesterday and checked it out before I signed up and read comments like the ones here. Thank you for your comments everybody.

WARNING! Don't fall for "Google Biz Kit" BS. Scam - big time. Regrettably I fell hard. Cost me $1.97 + $1.97 + $79.90 + $69.77. Canceled on the 7th day, but too late. My account had already been charged. Bank says I "agreed to terms", which of course I did not read in the fine print, so no help available to dispute charges. Am 75 years young (one should be wiser at this age), on a very limited income and this loss of $153.61 is a fortune lost for me.Couldn't even make mortgage payment as a result of the loss. One lives and learns the hard way.

Wow!! Some how I clicked on something and this very legitimate looking newspaper came up. I read the article and was ok..Google..sound business..I clicked on the link and its all flashy and weird..I immediately googled the company and came upon this website. Thank you for keeping me from making the biggest mistake ever..I knew something seemed fishy, but this is confirmation. Thank you for having websites we can use to check up on other websites. Cause it seems every one is a scam lately.

ooohhh wow thank god i found this, because this morning i was about to fall for it, it sounded to good to be true so before i did anything i decided to look up some info. and i found this. It gets me so mad that they could screw people over like this, especially when right now people are working so hard for there money. Some people cant even work hard for there money because they have no jobs. I think that we should have the right to sue these guys & get triple the money that we spent

I signed up for this over the phone i asked them if it costs anything and they said only a one time fee of $1.98 so thought that was a good deal and signed up after they got my credit card information they were like there is also a membership fee off $69 a month so I said i wasn't interested then and they said ok no problem call this number.. but whenever i call it it says to phone back between 10am and 8pm eastern time even though i've called between those times... what do i do???

I kinda fell for it. My sister whom I trust sent me a link to an article where this lady was talking about how the Google Biz Kit saved her family after she lost her job. Since I'm in the same situation my sister thought it would be something that would help, so did I since the article seemed quite authentic and there were all these comments at the bottom. So, I signed up online and gave my credit card info for a $1.97 s$H fee.

Soon after, I got a call from someone working for them. She was talking really fast and claiming to be confirming my order, and at the same time trying to charge some more money to my account for some gift card....I started to smell something fishy and clearly stated that I didn't authorize any other charge aside from the $1.97. I then checked my account and saw that I was charged another $0.50 for international fees. I called the Google folks a few times and no one would explain why I was charged an international fee when they were allegedly located in Scottsdale, Arizona. Moreover, everyone I spoke with said their last name was Cruz, and there was no supervisor to speak with. I immediately called my bank and disputed the transaction to stop payment. This was a week after I paid, and the CD was supposed to have been shipped, yet I haven't gotten it. I'm glad I trusted my instincts.

I have also been billed for 2 consecutive months at $80.0 and was told it was canceled. After searching hard for it I found a name they are going under....Pacific Webworks.inc. I have notified the Better Business Bureau in Utah and also the Attorney General. Hopefully no one else has to go through this.

Make sure you don't sign up for the Google internet kit, they will tell you it is only the $1.95 for the shipping, then when you call them to tell them you are no longer interested they will not cancel, instead they charge your account for almost $80 NON_REFUNDABLE! Its another scam so don't fall into it!
I usually check these sites first but didn't this time! Now I will have to cancel my card once again!

DO NOT GO FOR THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!! TOTAL SCAM!!!! I can't believe that nothing can be done about this SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!! I to went for it. They only got the $1.97 from me. They can have it, the dirty, lousy jerks! Canceled my bank card, had to get a new card. My card was put on a hot card list to be watched. Still getting the phone calls from these jerks. Keep missing when they call. When you call the number back it tells you the number is unallocated.(WHATEVER THAT MEANS) There has to be a lot of these people working for this scam in order to keep trying to get a hold of thousands of people like us to go for this crap!!!!!!!! DO NOT GO FOR THIS!!!

do not buy into this, it is a SCAM! i also gave into this BS but my thought was "if this is a scam, i will only be out $1.97 shipping charge" WRONG!!!!! they charged up to $131.00 before i knew it! I'm still trying to resolve this matter but I'm not just angry with the scam artist, I'm even more upset with my credit card company, bank of America! they should know better than to let these charges go through and yes, it is because they profit from it! i intend on canceling this credit card ASAP! I've had a credit card account with them for over 12 years! and if they don't have enough integrity to look out for their loyal customers then i don't have any use for them!

YEP! It's all true...TOTAL SCAM! I found this website explaining the scam after doing a little research (all of about 3min!!). I was going to order it but didn't want to give them my credit card number. I questioned it because PayPal wasn't an option. I'm getting spammed now because I posted my resume on Craigslist. That's how they find people. What's worse....I'm soon to be unemployed..had I ordered this my problems would have only gotten worse!

Got sucked into that one too. Adware, make hundreds a day with google. Only $1.00 with coupon for shipping. I'm a small business owner with the business in the tank. Needed to make some money. What a rip off. Checked my bank account the next day and not only had $1. 00 posted but an additional $79.85. I called immediately and was told I had to cancel within 24 hours (which I was well within 24 hours), then was told one day to which I replied one day IS 24 hours. After threatening to report them to the everyone I could think of they finally agreed to a refund. We will see if the refund is forthcoming. What a scam.

I feel like such a sucker. My husband told me that his friend did this and that it was legit. My husband is usually dead on with everything so I didn't check anything but signed up and was ripped off by hundreds of dollars in matter of days. Am trying to dispute the charges. I think I have to kiss my money good bye. I felt like throwing up when I found out. The funniest thing that my credit card agent knew exactly about this scam and said that she sees it all the time. Unfortunately, I gave these thieves my credit card information and I might be unable to get my money back. I feel like an idiot.

I fell for this scam being laid-off weeks prior. If it sounds to good to be true, almost 100% of the time it is!After I submitted, the site told me they could not process @ this time which made me think.....they just got my card #!!!! Right away I went to the bank and canceled my card. I hope someone can find a way to put a end to this crap!! Seeing the Google name I automatically thought it was legit......be careful!!!!

I didn't fall for the Google sting, but fell for an Acai Berry scam (same deal...just pay for S/H and then your account is charged $80/month). Work with your bank and definitely report the scam to the BBB. I was able to get my money back but it took a while. My question is...WHY ISN'T GOOGLE THE COMPANY DOING ANYTHING ABUT THIS?

ONE OF THE BIGGEST SCAMS OUT THERE!! I signed up (sorry to say wanting a little more money to make ends meet) and after I entered my cc info and address info I printed EVERYTHING out and read the FINE print! There are ALL these HIDDEN charges for subscriptions and memberships to customer service for this so called product. The FINE print reads you have 5 days from the time you order to cancel. That means from the time you HIT THAT SUBMIT button. And to top it off there are about 4 different services that you have signed up for and about 5 different phone numbers that you have to call to cancel ALL of the the phony services..!! Once I realized (same day of purchase) that this was about $188.00 in fees that I was about to be hit with, I called my bank to cancel my card IMMEDIATELY. Nothing has hit the bank yet and I tried to call ALL the different numbers the fine print says you have to call to cancel. They pretended like they were canceling the service but KEPT giving me the SAME cancellation verification number EVEN when I called a different 800 number. This is a BIG mess and I can't believe I fell for it. Just goes to show that I need to trust GOD more for my needs and NOT the luring internet.. Hope you all have better success!

It seemed too good to be true... It was an article about this woman making $7000/month from home on a "Dubai Herald" Newspaper. I said, WOW, I've been living in Dubai for 12 years and never heard of this newspaper. So I had to google it. And thank God, I found this article before it was too late.

dont be fooled people. do a google search on these so called programs. they are a scam and they will start charging your credit card a monthly membership fee (hidden in the fine print) and even if you cancel your credit card they will keep charging you. when there are enough complaints about them they will change the name and start again

i was signing up the subscription form, was about to encode the ccv info when i thought of googling the name internet home business kit, and it brought me here. thank goodness, this site saved me in the nick of time. like others who were trying hard to make both ends meet, this offer was too good to refuse. and yes, desperation often don't make you think well, you just want to grab the best deal you think there is. a word of advice, times are tough and there are lots of people who really want to part you from your hard-earned (though measly) money. so be vigilant and check more than thrice.

Someone stole my bank card information online and charged this account. Thank god my bank caught it and realized that someone was using my information. This whole company is a SCAM. John Wetterhan   Cumming Georgia

12:45pm on Monday, September 21st, 2009

Just too let you know I read all the fine print(had a feeling it was possible scam, cause seen similar adds from other companies). I paid the $1.97 for the program thinking I was going to have a possible job. I have no job currently, with a wife and 4 kids. I took extra precaution to make sure that there was no authorization of any other funds to be taken out because $79.90 is a lot of money to me. I did not authorize or agree to this transaction in no way or form. I watch my bank statement on-line and sure enough on a SATURDAY the PWW biz kit charged me $79.90. PWW= Pacific Web Wankers(this is a joke)......Anyways I called the bank on Monday cause they were obviously closed on Saturday and Sunday, bank said sorry we just paid them, for crying out loud, banks get alerts all the time of fraudulent scams, and non authorized companies, but the banks don't care anyway you look at it. So next step I call PWW guess what, I got help, but guess what the solution was???? (Keep in mind my situation and how I need the money, my son just came down with H1N1 virus and others of my household are getting sick, and I have no money to my name right now cause of this. And we have no fever reducers in the house can't buy them, but I know I need them, and I have no other family near by.) So they tell me it's going going to take 7-10 business days to get my money back. I want to take action on this maybe get a torte lawsuit going and sue the snot out of them. Basically what their telling me in a nut shell is,"John we're going to borrow your money for the next 7-10 business days, then we'll let you have it back ok??""That is all bs everything these days are done electronically, they could give my money back today in less than 2 hours if they wanted. think about when you do a debit how long does it take to come out of your bank account, 7-10 business days,I think not, maybe no more than one day usually sometimes it's right away. When you get money out of ATM do you stand there for 7-10 days waiting for the money? No it comes right out of your account no matter what ATM your using. Sorry for for all the babble, I'm venting, this is a high stressful situation I'm in here. God Bless you all I'm sorry there's these kind of jerks out there, the rich like to prey on us the, poor people. Heres PWW number if you don't see it on your statement # 1-800-497-4988 by the way one of their home bases is in the Philippines, so if you don't understand thats why.
Thank You,
Sincerely,
John Wetterhan

I fell for it too! I was charged $1.97 for starters. I never received the package from Google Biz kit, and was suddenly charged $79.90 --Because of this scam I am now negative plenty in my checking account and on top of that have been charged with overdraft fee of $35.00 from Bank Of America. I make enough money to get by but cannot afford to spend money to go shopping if I wanted a new shirt or but a CD. I work hard for the little money I get and to have $105.00 snatched from me has me furious.
