Google Home Business Kit Review
Is the Google Kit a Scam...?
Recently there has been a wave of work at home programs all claiming that
they can show you how to make money from Google. They all sell a Google
Home Business Kit for a low shipping and handling fee from $1.99 - $3.88.
These programs consist of a CD, and a membership website that hosts the
courses. The lessons teach you how to use Google AdWords to place advertisements
for programs that you are an affiliate for.
They also advocate setting up fake blogs and websites to advertise the same
Google Kit that you just bought. You may have seen ads like these on
Facebook and MySpace. Don't be fooled by these and other sites claiming
that you can make money from these programs; any income they're receiving is
simply from referring more people to join these sites.
So Are These Google Biz Kits Scams...?
The catch with all these programs is that once you submit your billing info
to pay for the S&H you automatically agree to their membership program.
When you apply for the Google Home Business Kit you're also authorizing them to
charge you a membership fee of up to $70 a month.
This is why these Google Home Business Kits have been called out as serious
scams. Most people don't see the fine print which they have cleverly
hidden throughout their site. Then a month later they're shocked to see a
fee of $70 which they haven't authorized.
There have also been thousands of complaints made against these Google Kit
companies, by people who've been charged the monthly fees without even receiving
the CD's and membership info.
Now, the guys running these scams are not stupid and are obviously very good at
what they do. They've taken many measures to ensure that they can keep
operating their scams long term. This includes hiding their
websites' URLs and consistently changing the names of their programs.
This is what makes my job so difficult, it's almost impossible to keep up
with them. When one product is no longer selling they simply change the
name and viola they have a new Google Home Business Kit to sell. For
instance they've just switched the name to Google Money Master.
By the time there're enough complaints and articles exposing them they've
already moved on to a new name and website. I want to show you some
examples of these Google Kit sites which you should avoid, I'm also including a
long list of program names that they've used in the past along with a collection
of fake affiliate blogs that they use to promote them.
Examples of Earn Google Cash Sites to Beware of...
These websites were advertised through a series of fake blogs set up specifically to sell Google Biz Kits. Most were filled
with pictures of a young person, their big checks from Google, and fake comments towards the bottom.
Recently, these scammers have switched to using fake news paper articles to promote the Google BizKits. They often use names (and even logos) like the Los Angeles Times or ABC News and feature a top "story" of how you can make a fortune by simply purchasing one of these Google Kits. You should be wary of any such news articles as they're popping up everywhere.
Here's an example of these fake blog and news sites...
If you see an ad for one of these blogs or "newspapers" save yourself the time and don't
visit them, as they'll only redirect you to one of these Google Home Business
Kits.

Dee Washington, DC | 9:52am on Friday, September 18th, 2009 | This IS a scam. Signed up hoping to earn some extra money and in less than a week already got charged $69.97 without ever receiving my kit. Because I used my bank cc, I am canceling the card and getting a new one so this company (or any company name they change to) cannot charge my account again and I am disputing this charge through my bank. I should have gone with my gut feeling, if its too good to be true, it is. |
anna Us | 7:11am on Friday, September 18th, 2009 | I am so desperate for money right now that I almost signed up for this. I'm so glad I stopped and looked it up before I made a huge mistake! Thank you for all the feed back! |
Bryan Ogden, UT | 11:59pm on Thursday, September 17th, 2009 | I also fell for the scam as well. I was charged $2.98 on my cc and someone called me about it, but he did not give me any real direction on how to go forward with the scammed program. I am so glad now to have found this website because it has some useful information. Thank you. I hope they do not charge me more than what they have already taken out. Keep you guys posted. |
Jacko NY | 9:55pm on Thursday, September 17th, 2009 | My god I am only 19 out from highschool and trying to get a job to pay for my college fee. I sign up and in 10 minutes 2 people call and act all nice and then they harshly ask whats my credit card number. I gave them my pre paid paypal with 5$ on it and they decline it. Next morning my mom email me to visit her and that left my girlfriend at home. she gave number and when i came back from visit. i was charged over 380 dollars the next day! stupid stupid scam. |
Carla ithaca | 4:00pm on Thursday, September 17th, 2009 | thanks very much for this info..i stupidly fell for this yesterday, and today a women call me and i give my debit account, they call my husband because i didnt have the number of the debit card and when he give it, he was so angry because he said it didn;t felt right, so i start looking and i find this site and I told him to go to the bank or call them, and he give his number and the bank say we only had 13 dollars from the 250 we had, so i get so upset and make me feel so stupid, so we go downtown and cancel the account , in the bank, told us that , they only charged 3 dollars, i dont know why they first tell us that they have charge almost everything at first but that error put me on alert, thank GOD!, but i dont know what could have happen if i dont find this information..so thanks very much |
Robert University Place | 11:38am on Thursday, September 17th, 2009 | thanks, your site helped me save money i did not have anyway, good luck to all and hold tight because we all know if it sounds to good to be true it's probably not true |
My Virginia | 9:28am on Thursday, September 17th, 2009 | I signed up for them yesterday, but just up to where they asked for my cc, and of course, I don't think its good idea, so I tried to search online to see what people are talking about them, then I found it scam. SO i just stop it, but they called me this morning, just hour ago...there was a lady, she tried to explain to me what's the deal with this. I already told her that I don't think I can do it, but she keeps going, so I let her talked, but finally she asked me for my information about my cc, I told her that I am not sure it's reliable, so I didn't put my cc on the website, and she told me that that's why they called me now, b/c to make sure that's reliable....it's totally logical and secured. anyway, so I told her that I won't give her cc, and she stopped, but didn't hang up, so I hung up myself...so I found this website, and hopefully everyone here learns this and avoids this in the future. |
Shannon Everett, Wa | 9:28am on Thursday, September 17th, 2009 | Well... I have to say that you saved me too. Thank you so much for taking the time to put this page up. |
Stacey Smith | 10:51pm on Wednesday, September 16th, 2009 | I fell for the Google biz kit - because, geesh it was Google. I was instantly billed the $1.99 then subsequently billed $49.99, $24.99, and $35.99! After seeing the overdraft charges to my account I immediately called to cancel - in my rage these people who answered the phones to cancel my account I was absolutely unaware of - they did not seemed surprised. Scam!!!! |
Rhonda Dallas | 10:59am on Wednesday, September 16th, 2009 | I just ordered it and after I saw this site I canceled. Thanks for the information! |
Anna H. Philippines | 6:01am on Wednesday, September 16th, 2009 | I need help on what to do regarding this scam. I gave in to it. We only wanted extra income. hope anyone can help me with this |
Anonymous Location unknown | 1:38pm on Tuesday, September 15th, 2009 | Mary & Kevin say they live in Lewisville, NC too.
I am thankful I found this web site before I went further.
What a shame for all the many people who are trying to find a way to make ends meet. Looks like us poor folks are just going to have to drown... there is no way to escape our financial burdens. There has got to be something legitimate out there. UGGGHHHH |
Felix New York | 11:35am on Tuesday, September 15th, 2009 | WoW
i am glad i found this page. I almost signed up but then i said let me search for it on line and came to this site. I am glad i made this decision.

Jennifer Wisconsin | 11:19am on Tuesday, September 15th, 2009 | Thank you so much for posting this. I would have really thought about doing this if I hadn't come to this first. It is always to good to be true. You are the best. |
Vuyelwa South AfrÍca | 6:24am on Tuesday, September 15th, 2009 | Thank you so much for this site. I almost fell this scam. It sounded too good to be true but it was credible. I was so close to throwing my few Rands away. |
GINA HENDERSON, NV | 2:39pm on Monday, September 14th, 2009 | My husband signed us up we were charged $122.00. We never got the kit and when we called to ask about the charges they said it was in the disclosure. They would not refund us!! This was before people caught onto their scam. |
Q undisclosed location | 9:30pm on Sunday, September 13th, 2009 | I wondered why I was suddenly getting mail from Google Biz kit. Was it because I was trying to start my own online business? I clicked on it and figured I could go as far as putting in my debit card info as long as I did not confirm that I was getting it. If I remember correctly, I think that my computer froze and I finally just held in the power button to restart. I recently discovered they are taking about $72 out of my account: CHECK CRD PURCHASE 09/04 PWW*Internet Biz Kit 800-4974988 UT. A couple of weeks ago I called to cancel. Since they took another $72. I called the bank and the bank canceled my debit card. I called the Biz Kit again a couple of days ago and explained the whole story and they just replied again saying they would cancel! |
Kevin KY | 8:41pm on Sunday, September 13th, 2009 | As the saying goes, IF IT SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE - IT PROBABLY IS. Especially quick money opportunities!!
Glad my gut instinct made me check it out BEFORE falling for it.
Thanks for having this review site!! |
troy mcconnell lincoln, california | 11:25am on Sunday, September 13th, 2009 | thankyou for saving me too... I hope the GOOD KARMA headed your way serves u well. |
pam portland, maine | 9:27am on Sunday, September 13th, 2009 | netnewsdaily.com was the web page i went to because i actually saw an article in a local newspaper about it! a woman who had lost her job and done this was now making over 5 grand a month and working from home blah blah blah. i figured i would look into it because hey if there is an article in the paper about it there has to be some truth to it! when i put in the address the site came up suspended and to contact the supporter if i was the owner. that is when i googled the biz kit and came upon this site. THANK GOODNESS! i doubt i would have pursued it even for a measly shipping and handling fee, but it's good to know that i came across this first cause who knows! |
Shawn Tillon AR, USA | 5:41am on Sunday, September 13th, 2009 | Glad I did look it up and see this b/c i prob. would never have read the "fine print".. It's amazing how many use this exact same technique, but usually they offer something of value and then the membership fee is much lower to decrease the chance of some noticing it and # of charge backs. A charge back is one thing you should be able to do with almost all credit cards if you file a complaint, but debit cards are much more difficult. Although, not always impossible, but there is a lot of paperwork involved & really depends on the bank issuing it as well... Anyways THANK YOU for great info |
Juvy Peralta Philippines | 3:39am on Sunday, September 13th, 2009 | wow! i almost fell into it coz it advertise a Filipino like me who earned a lot to it. good thing i have read this first before signing up. |
Ms.Adams NEW YORK | 12:16am on Sunday, September 13th, 2009 | I almost fell for it, I'am so desperate for money. I just recently lost my job and my Husband is paying for all the bills we have a 3Yr.Old child and one the way. This is bad for GOOGLE,if they are ware of this then they should try to stop and if they are affiliated with this scam that is very wrong.Any good ideas for working at home for a low cost and great income, please aware me. |
FASTDRAGON San Jose CA | 10:08am on Saturday, September 12th, 2009 | The scam artists are getting better and better. They make it look so real it is fooling everyone. Fooled me... but this review was helpful so I will no longer attempt it. I'm just going to go out there and work harder and smarter, at my real job and make money... |
Ramone New York | 2:11am on Saturday, September 12th, 2009 | I was about to try it, soon as i was about to give my information my computer shut off i said to myself that was sign. |
Steven Esler Mountain View, California | 1:25am on Saturday, September 12th, 2009 | Total Scam, Rip Off, I'm hiring an attorney and going after theses crooks. I am so pissed off I could scream for hours on how stupid I am for believing this poop. I feel so violated. I'm disabled and count on my money for support and to have people like this pull scams like this is too much for me to swallow. Someone need to do something about this and quick! |
Nya Houston | 9:57pm on Friday, September 11th, 2009 | Thank you, thank you, thank you for the information. I was really thinking about getting the kit, but I asked my husband what do he think and he said that I should research it, and that is when I came across your website. You just stopped me from being scammed. Thanks again. |
Laura Santa Fe | 8:13pm on Friday, September 11th, 2009 | I cannot even find their contact info anywhere to cancel? Anyone have a phone number? |
jan crisostomo jacksonville, fl | 3:01pm on Friday, September 11th, 2009 | They say they are charging $1.97 for the kit, but at the bottom...and I do mean the very bottom...it tells you that 1) Google does not endorse the Biz Kit and 2) in 7 days they will charge you $79.90 per month.
So, it is not free, such as is suggested and you are made to think by the ads touting it. |
Toe Illinois | 2:52pm on Friday, September 11th, 2009 | Almost fell for it. I thought "hmmm it looks reputable" and grabbed my debit card.... then I thought "hmmmm maybe I should use my paypal card instead" - I put my CC number in, but because my funds were 0 (iTunes shopping spree I forgot about, OOPS) the popup came back "declined"...
Typo anyone?
One quick search brought me here and I'm safe as can be :)
Thank you! |
Paula Marshall,MO | 12:20pm on Friday, September 11th, 2009 | OH I'm so happy to read these blogs. I almost tried it, but I knew something was up! It just sounded way too good to be true! This lady called me yesterday about buying the biz kit over the phone and I kept telling her i didnt have my card and she started harassing me asking "well what if an emergency happened and you needed your card and you dont have it?" I kept telling her that my husband had my wallet with my card and she was very rude and thats what made me really know that they were just trying to get my money!!! |
Jason Florida | 10:10am on Friday, September 11th, 2009 | I saw an ad for this on the msnbc.com website. I thought it was real, but I beg to differ after reading these posts. I fell for it once, and I am still waiting for a refund, yeah right. The problem is that all of these legitimate sights have "sponsored links" that people pay per click. They look legitimate because they are on a legitimate site, but they are paid for links. I say we all just keep clicking on the sponsored links so they have to pay, but we never buy anything. LOL. |
cj md | 9:24am on Friday, September 11th, 2009 | SCAMMMMMMMMMMMMM...!!!! they charge you $2.95 to start and then they hit me for $79.95 because i didn't cancel after a week...somone notify the better business B.
Don't do it! |
Vicki Illinois | 5:56pm on Thursday, September 10th, 2009 | Eeek! I signed up for it, but instead of google it was Twitter. I mistook it because I saw it on a site I trusted (facebook, i believe) i received FIFTEEN phone calls all within about 4 hours. It was dreadful. Finally I told them I didn't want to talk to them and they haven't called since then, so hopefully thats enough! Im glad it was just my phone number and not something else! yeesh! |
Maria Long Beach, NY | 5:38pm on Thursday, September 10th, 2009 | I too was contacted by one of my facebook contacts that said this program has saved my life. After I spoke with my contact, he said he never sent it to me and that it was a scam and or a virus. I was almost about to give my cc# when my gut told me to do some research on it. Then I saw an article on my home page just today that showed a woman holding up a check she claimed was from Google. Being that I trust MSN, which is my homepage, I looked more into this google kit, and if not for this site, I too would have been a victim of this as well. Thank you all for getting the word out there. Each of you on this site saved me from making a big mistake. I thank you and my family thanks you all. God bless, be honest and good things will come our way. |
Maria Sacramento, CA | 4:07pm on Thursday, September 10th, 2009 | I'm usually not this gullible, but boy I fell for it. Luckily my husband was not so inclined to give me his debit card but rather suggested I load money on one of my pre-paid cards. I'm definitely loading my card, but certainly not for a scam like this or any other. Thanks for the life saving info. This site rocks! |
cracking TX | 11:54am on Thursday, September 10th, 2009 | what can i say i fell for this scam. it had Google on it and also CNN money on the one i looked at over 200.00 taken from my account. called the 1888 # provided on my statement and it went to the Philippines. all their numbers are going to the Philippines. the customer rep tried to wiggle out. i asked for a supervisor and there was no supervisor available. they told me to call 30minutes later. this is a COMPLETE SCAM. BUT ALL THINGS THAT GO ROUND COME AROUND. if Google cannot take action against people using their good name....then maybe we should start checking into yahoo or something else. |

I IMMEDIATELY WAS SICKENED.I DID SEE YOU HAD 7 DAYS TO CANCEL. BUT, DID NOT SEE THE $79.90 EVERY MONTH. I CALLED 2 NUMBERS. THE 1ST # 1-800-497-4988 WAS SO LOUD WITH PEOPLE IN THE BACKGROUND YOU COULD NOT HEAR THE PERSON WHO YOU THINK MIGHT HELP YOU. THE 2ND # 1-877-484-8016 WAS A LOT BETTER. THE LADY SAID I STILL HAD 6 MORE DAYS TO CANCEL. I SAID I AM CANCELLING NOW! SHE DID GIVE ME A CONFIRM # AND ONE WAS SENT TO MY E-MAIL BOX. I STILL WAS NOT FEELING GOOD ABOUT THIS. Lauren Taylor Scarsdale, NY | 3:31pm on Tuesday, September 8th, 2009 | After taking a chance on this by paying $2.97 for the introductory package, I was contacted within 15 minutes by phone from a company that was totally different. I told them I wanted to cancel immediately but they assured me that I had 21 days and that they would provide all the necessary tools to help me understand their simple program. After being away for a week, I now have emails from 4 different companies welcoming me to their program. Although I have only paid $3.00, I fear they will start charging me a monthly fee now for services I never ordered and do not want. There is one phone number to call to cancel but they deny that they are part of two companies who use this number. Under no circumstances would I recommend anyone to become part of this scam. They only got me for 3 bucks (so far) but I am really mad about this. The rep actually hung up on me instead of providing the customer service I requested. She also refused to let me speak to a supervisor and kept apologizing for having nothing to do with the company : Amazing Web Stores, that I was calling to cancel. |
Tim Bournemouth, UK | 2:37pm on Tuesday, September 8th, 2009 | My wife called me a while back to say that she'd signed up for the kit. 3 months later we've been hit for 3 monthly bills before realizing what was going on. The credit card company has told me that because we signed up to a 'legitimate' subscription there is nothing they can or will do. They even tell me that I need to contact the seller (read crook) to cancel the subscription and to ask for a refund (like that will ever happen). Has anyone ever been able to contact these people? I tried the phone number on the bill but there is no answer. I will be pushing my credit card company and will be going to Trading Standards if nothing is done about it. One question, why hasn't Google done anything to stop these fraudsters using their name? |
Pam VA | 1:09pm on Tuesday, September 8th, 2009 | I thought it sounded too good to be true. I can't believe that they are able to get away with using Google as a way to sucker people into paying for it. There should be a way to keep these types of scams off the internet. No wonder our kids can be so easily taken in by scammers on the website let alone their parents. I am glad I checked with you first. Thank you. |
Tonya MD | 5:44am on Tuesday, September 8th, 2009 | Thanks for your site. I noticed the $69 fee and up went the red flag. Did a bit more research and my money's saved. Thanks again! I hope to find something soon that isn't a gimmick! |
A Hart north texas | 11:37am on Monday, September 7th, 2009 | i almost fell for it also -- i did give my contact info but no CC# -i received phone calls at least twice a week on a Google "sales pitch" for only a $1.99 charge - Glad i came across this site- --i have been scammed before and learned my lesson ---still looking for something honest but who can you trust? -Dishonest websites , Fake reviews , etc |

Ja New York | 10:06am on Monday, September 7th, 2009 | Where is our government representation with these scams? The Govt should be shutting them down. |
Emme Texas | 9:14am on Monday, September 7th, 2009 | Ok. I almost signed up for this CRAP! If you believe in karma then just sit back and relax. Google Kits are stealing money from hard-working people. In return, someone will steal from them. I GUARANTEE IT. |

jamalter Alabama | 10:25am on Saturday, September 5th, 2009 | I fell for a similar scam that advertised a product on a well-known local legitimate radio program. I ordered the product (a free trial - all I paid was shipping), and within 7 days was charged $79.95 for the next shipment. I told them I didn't want it, and wanted to return it, and after MANY phone calls and hassle, got my money back. What really floored me was that I complained to the radio station that this was a bogus company, and they continued to run the ad for several months. I never listened to that station again. Beware of anything that claims to be free but requires your credit card for any type of shipping/handling fee. |
ring ring london | 4:46am on Saturday, September 5th, 2009 | does anybody still remember the name of the website that you had to join. My bank needs it, please help me |
sunny vancouver wa | 1:58am on Saturday, September 5th, 2009 | so im a young college student and i found out about the google biz kit on aol and the article was soooo convincing. they even showed the check. then as i was reading the comments i noticed the timing between each comment was way to close. there was no way you could read a comment then respond to it with a paragraph in three minutes.
i even called and was convinced. but after reading this i am NOT going to buy this kit. |
mark mission viejo | 9:36pm on Friday, September 4th, 2009 | The problem with all of these internet scams is that the banks and online processing companies don't put a stop to it because they all profit from it.
Processing companies and banks should freeze the scammers accounts after a few complaints but they don't.
People need to put pressure on the processing companies and banks to stop these scam artists. People that got ripped off need to call the cops and report the crimes. |
Sophi Ky | 3:23pm on Friday, September 4th, 2009 | So glad i read this before purchasing this kit! I should've known this sounded to good to be true, but when you're in desperate need of more money anything sounds good, I guess this is how scammers get you, they prey on us! I must add that if you really pay close attention the the add, it gives you obvious clues its a scam, like someone else mentioned the check that has the name blacked out but shows the account number..wtf!!?? Also, you can't reply and place a comment, they say due to spams...yeah ok!!?? Good luck with everyone trying to get their money back! God bless!!!! :) |
Vince HI | 12:47pm on Friday, September 4th, 2009 | Don't order this crap. A month ago I canceled with them 10 minutes after signing up. I also had to cancel my subscription with their affiliates. During the past 4 weeks I been getting calls from them asking how I was doing with their program. They were told that I canceled with them when I first signed up. Now these guys are trying to bill me for a service I didn't use. Fortunately, I went to my bank after the initial transaction and canceled the card I used so they cant draft the automatic payments. |
Christina Las Vegas NV | 11:09am on Friday, September 4th, 2009 | I am so glad there are sites like this one, in today's times, I cannot believe there are people out there who make it worse. I thought the Google name meant it was safe, my mistake. |
Earl OH | 9:48am on Friday, September 4th, 2009 | Thank you all. I was almost sucked in by the fake newspaper... Glad I took a second to see what I could find out first. |
kellie Monticello | 7:08am on Friday, September 4th, 2009 | I signed up for the Goggle Start up Kit (which was suppose to be $1.97) When I realized that they took almost $50 off my card I tried to call to get answers but there are no human beings to talk to (they try to make u think you are talking to someone live but you arent) Then 2 weeks later I check my card and they have taken $110.00 off my card and yet they claim that they have no record of me ordering anything! They have taken close to $200.00 from me and I haven't found a way to get it back yet! DO NOT TRY THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Dawn Massachusetts | 3:09pm on Thursday, September 3rd, 2009 | Anyone who has been duped by these people should report them to the Better Business Bureau. I was scammed by a different company, that took hundreds of dollars from my account claiming I "agreed" to the terms and conditions, which they regard as somewhat of a "bible" when defending complaints. I too was again almost scammed, but did my research FIRST...to my surprise, there were little reports at the BBB, which caused me to look further. |
Johnny Connecticut | 2:31pm on Thursday, September 3rd, 2009 | Iam so glad Google Biz Kit didn't get me, they almost got me.Thanks be to God that my state of Connecticut didn't appear on the chose a state list. That was no one but God.I've been out of work almost a year now so that google biz thing sounded good, but God knew I had no money to give to that scam yes I was very lucky. please look into things before giving out your private info. All of us are going through something, lets not just grab the first good sounding thing passing by may God bless you all. I was lucky |
Sandy Joplin, MO | 2:12pm on Thursday, September 3rd, 2009 | I was almost suckered again. Thank you so much for the information. |
Pat TX | 12:52pm on Thursday, September 3rd, 2009 | So glad I found this site before giving my credit card info, My hours at work were recently cut-back & I need more income. THANK YOU THANK YOU, THANK YOU |
Lonnie Oregon | 11:55pm on Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009 | whew glad I didn't get caught in that one....Almost did it. |
jakki tn | 10:45pm on Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009 | I ALWAYS purchase a prepaid visa, master card etc from walmart and load only the amount I wish to spend online. The CROOKS aren't able to get anymore money off the card because I have long tossed the card as my intentions was to use it once anyway!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Angela Oregon | 7:00pm on Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009 | OMG!!! I just saw this yesterday on my yahoo home page. It look totally real. It was a story about a stay at home mom (like me) who needed extra cash and is making 5,000 per month doing the Google Biz thing. I was so impressed by the story and the fact they said it was featured on the news and all. So I went to Google Biz kit site and tried buying the kit, but lucky for me I put my card number in wrong and it did not go through. I was so tired I said I would order it today. So I go to find the Biz kit site again, and find all this scam stuff instead! Thank goodness I put my credit card number in wrong. Just one digit difference and I would have been there next victim! Thanks for the information. In these hard times we can't be wasting any amount of money on scams like the Google Biz Kit! Thanks again |
mia miami | 5:29pm on Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009 | Wow. i got this page up in my computer http://www.net-news-daily.com and somehow i thought ,wow it is in the news and everything ....but being a google addict, I googled IT..and of course i got THE SCAM PART!...be smart. google as much as you can even if is about google. |
Nikki C NY | 5:28pm on Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009 | I almost fell for it, thank god I googled Google Biz Kit and "scam" came up attached to it. I'm a young mother and go to college while my husband works and we are barely getting by. I am so happy I found this before I gave them my financial information. |
A Mitchell United Kingdom | 4:28pm on Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009 | OK, yes I was a prat and signed up - thinking $1.97 was worth the risk.I received email telling me my account had been set up for 7 day free trial (no adverts or info said it was a trial!) Email said -Monthly Service fees will commence 7 days from the date of this purchase, and will be billed monthly thereafter for the continued access to the software. No refunds will be given for failure to use the requested and provided services. We reserve the right to transfer your billing to a third party Merchant of Record. This authority will remain in effect until revoked by me. You may cancel at anytime by calling 1-800-497-4988.
I rang my credit card company, they were not interested as I had given my consent for 'continuous payments' by entering my credit card details online. (great!) All I could do was wait to see if any other fees were taken from credit card and then raise a 'dispute' -they would contact the company.Asked if I could cancel my credit card, was informed that I had agreed to a continuous payment and canceling my card would make no difference!I asked if I could pay my credit card balance off and close my credit card account? Yes I can pay off my balance and close account but continuous payment would still be 'honored' by the credit card company.I rang Profit Studio Learning in the US (the original email I received for my kit)expecting to not get an answer...I used the number 00 1-8004974988. (The call is not free from UK)I said I had signed up for Google Biz Kit and wanted to cancel account. They asked me my tel number (I had signed up using my mobile number) and they greeted me by name (a good sign!) and agreed to cancel my account and refund the $1.97. They said I would receive a confirmation email of this. Whilst on the phone I checked my mail and had received the cancellation email. Here is mail address for billing support billing@pacificwebworks.com I hope all canceled now but I have an email that I can forward onto my credit card company should I need to raise 'dispute'.I hope this helps everyone. These people should be shot for 'preying on members of the public who are financially struggling anyway!. |
Peter Houston | 2:44pm on Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009 | Just like many of you I was just about to sign up but then decided to check it out on Google itself and found this site. I am so glad I didn't give out my CC #. You know, it's sad (but unfortunately true) that we all live in a 'sharks pond' and only the weary ones are not gonna be eaten by them. And what's even sadder is that people with REAL needs are out there looking for a honest job and opportunity.
Let's be careful people, very careful...!!!
Thank you. |
Tara Somerset, Ky | 1:00pm on Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009 | WOW! I also thought that this was to good to be true and thought what the hell..I typed in my email and everything but then I read the fine print and I knew from past experience that once you give out your card number, you are screwed! So I googled it, and this came up, THANK YOU for this website! Saved me ALOT of trouble! |
jerry Los angeles | 11:34pm on Tuesday, September 1st, 2009 | After reading all these people getting scam by "Google Home business Kit" I felt like I also got scammed, Let me share my story with you all and try to help some people out there to get their money back like I did. I was kind of skeptical in the beginning about all this sounded it to good to be true, but I said it's only $1.99 I fill out all the form and the next day I got a private call and it was one of the reps he said that he wanted to proof that this was not a scam and never mention about any fee, two days later I notice on my checking account $47.50 deducted and there was a phone# 877-479-9817 googlesearch..that appeared on my on-line statement. I was so furious, I called back that number and a rep refuse to refund my money back, I immediately canceled all this crap, and the rep said that I was going to be charge $47.50 every month. and I got more furious somehow the rep gave me a 6 digit confirmation # enough to call my bank and provide this 6 digit confirmation # and my bank was able to return the $47.50 and I canceled my Atm debit card. so after all I had a happy ending, hoping you can do the same and never ever, fall in this trap. good luck and God Bless you. |
Mary Canada | 11:12pm on Tuesday, September 1st, 2009 | THANK-YOU!!! Seriously thought about giving this program a shot! So glad i decided to Google it first, and found YOU! Make no mistake, what you are doing here IS helping!!! |
Tina In | 9:38pm on Tuesday, September 1st, 2009 | WOW! I am in a need of extra cash & being a single mom I thought this was my ticket! I am so glad I became skeptical & found this site. |
Rey California | 7:26pm on Tuesday, September 1st, 2009 | Wow, thank you for the comments. I almost fell for it too. |
Racquel Indy | 5:41pm on Tuesday, September 1st, 2009 | Sounded too good too be true, so I googled Google Biz Kit and came up with this site. Thank goodness or I would have signed up. |
Anonymous Santa Clara | 3:41pm on Tuesday, September 1st, 2009 | Hi, this is such a big Scam so why don't we report it to the police or something. |
Dave Palm Springs,ca | 1:07pm on Tuesday, September 1st, 2009 | Employment Opportunities
After being unemployed for almost a year, I was ready to try anything. After reading this site I'm glad I didn't start the program. The monthly charge would definitely hurt my finances.
Thanks for the great information. |
Juliana Ladine California | 12:22pm on Tuesday, September 1st, 2009 | totally scam, they have debited many times from my credit card. its crazy, i have canceled it, call everyday and they don´t. Do not believe in this, i was so naive to even think this could be serious. I am a real person saying this is SCAM, Juliana Ladine. |
torpang Location unknown | 4:08am on Tuesday, September 1st, 2009 | After giving them my name and phone number,I almost entered my cc info...fortunately I didn't, then I found this site..thanks for this info..I nearly got scammed...!! |
almostscamed North Carolina | 6:35pm on Monday, August 31st, 2009 | With google being a smart company, I would think they would have busted them by now, even CCs leave a paper trail, and if there's a strawman/woman im sure a lil pressure from Google on copy write infringement would get someone peeing their pants mighty quickly, heck with computer technology on face recognition if these guys are doing it now, im sure they have been busted before. and if not back to the pressure. |
JJ Tennessee | 3:24pm on Monday, August 31st, 2009 | I received a link from my elderly mother telling me about the work at home opportunity. I went to the link and it appeared to be a newspaper article from a local newspaper stating that a laid off mom named Mary Steadman who lived in our city made $7800.00 monthly by posting on google. I of course being a detective with the local police department began looking into the advertisement. I have found nothing but bad reviews and testimonials about this scam. PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS SCAM! This scam is just like the Acai Berry ads that says Oprah endorses. They will continue to bill you every month they can get out of you. It is extremely difficult to stop the withdraws. If you currently are going through this then CLOSE YOUR DEBIT OR CREDIT ACCOUNT IMMEDIATELY !! |
rick baltimore | 12:17pm on Monday, August 31st, 2009 | This isn't the only company out there on the net that has a fine print addendum that automatically will bill you each month once you've agreed to a "small fee". Most internet scams start out with a "trial" period but if you read the fine print it will tell you that you'll be shipped the product each month and be billed for it after the "30 day trial" period. Unfortunately by the time you receive your trial and actually get a chance to try it, the 30 days are up and the billing begins. Then try to reach a representative to cancel, it takes a long time and frustration. My only advice...if it sounds too good to be true, it always is b/c there's no easy money out there, if there were we all would be rich. Common sense will always be your best bet. Stay well. |
S. Brown Winchester, TN | 12:07pm on Monday, August 31st, 2009 | It has been over a month since I smartly canceled the Google business program because of the many charges linked to using the program. Just today I found my bank had been charged another $38.77 from Click Sell Go. Supposedly this company was listed in the Welcome material I received--which I never received. My income is limited since I am disabled. Because of this charge my account was overdrawn. I immediately called Click Sell Go and they "kindly" are refunding my money, but I am still out that $20.00! And there is no recourse! I am angry and frustrated over how many hidden costs there are in these programs so there is no real chance to make money. Their ads do not tell the truth, unless you have a large amount of money to invest, and you would be smarter to put it in the bank! |
Deb Indy | 11:38am on Monday, August 31st, 2009 | Whew!!!! I was almost taken in. Then I though "I have a gmail account and have never seen this in the popups" I decided to look it up and an entire web-search page came up. Good looking out. |
Linda Cape Cod | 6:39am on Monday, August 31st, 2009 | Very informative. I can always trust the wikopedia information. Ads do sound realistic, this article brought reality to light. |
Fernando California | 12:39am on Monday, August 31st, 2009 | It just happened to me today. I got the link from FoxNews.com and thus thought it was trustworthy. It was one of the big ads in their website, the ones that look just like other articles. I will call this Google Profits people to cancel tomorrow. Note that they have listed 1-888-8777-3336 as their phone number (which has an extra digit) but 1-888-877-3336 actually seems like it will work during working hours. But even if am calling tomorrow to cancel everything I'm also going to the bank to cancel my card just in case (you can not trust this people). |
Steve Clarke Philadelphia | 4:14pm on Saturday, August 29th, 2009 | I ran across this scam via a spam email. I immediately deleted it knowing it was bogus. How did I know? From seeing hundreds like it throughout the years. Rule 1: Never respond to ads or email you have not initiated, with a company you have never done business with. Rule 2: Constantly remind your friends and family (especially older ones) about rule #1. Rule 3: Contact any 'real' company or organization that posts these ads on their site. From reading the comments above, it is obvious that many legitimate companies and organizations do not make the effort to verify the advertisements they carry and happily sell the ad space to anyone. These companies need to be held to a higher responsibility. |
Destiny Kalamazoo, MI | 2:14pm on Saturday, August 29th, 2009 | I too was taken by this scam. Over $200 in charges taken from my card when it was only supposed to be $1.97!!!
I don't get how they can get away with this. My husband and I were in the midst of divorcing a few months back and have been working on reconciliation, even to the point of putting us and our 3 young girls back under the same roof and this just made a HUGE problem we DID NOT NEED RIGHT NOW. I thought it would help us and all it has done is hurt, hurt, hurt. These people are literally ruining others lives. I hope they read this and they're happy.
On another note, thank YOU so much for this website. Maybe others will be saved by all your research. You're a Godsend. |
