I've received quite a few emails recently
asking me if Minvestment is a legitimate
money-making opportunity. On the their
website they claim to be a private
investment company that's been operating
since 2000, bit is that the whole story?
I've seen websites like this before as
most HYIP websites look very similar.
Yes, that's right, Minvestment is an HYIP
even though they claim to be investing in
real estate in southeast Asia and developing
oil fields in 'highly promising areas of the
world'.
The truth is that all HYIPs claim to be involved in highly
lucrative (and secretive) investments in
faraway places, but the truth is they're
simply operating a Ponzi scheme. And there're a few other
clues that make Minvestment easy to place.
They have a poorly designed website which
gives very little detail about their
operations. There's no phone number or address of
where to contact them and they are clearly
based in a country with very little
regulation and consumer protection.
If you're not clear about what a Ponzi
scheme is
then here's a quick explanation.....
In this type of scheme, early investors are
paid back with their own money and the money
of future investors. Since initial investors
are getting returns, they unknowingly (or
knowingly for some) perpetuate the scam by
recruiting others. This goes on until the
stream of new customers dries up or the fund
operator decides to disappear with the
money.
You might ask yourself why anyone would
even take these claims seriously? The catch
is that these HYIP scams can make you
serious money in the short term. The larger the HYIP the longer it can go
before the bottom falls out.
Some HYIPs have folded the first day and
others have been running successfully for
months. There's absolutely no way to predict
how long a particular one will run. In fact investing your money in any HYIP is as good as playing it in the nearest
casino.
No Ponzis are legal. They are often run by
underground people or groups looking to make
a quick buck.
So Minvestment is inherently a scam even
if it's currently paying out returns, and
that can change in an instant. Even
further, if you do get lucky enough to make
sizeable returns from them you cannot
claim this on your taxes because it's an
illegal income and you'll have to break
the law once again by not declaring this
income to the government.
I work online with a method where you can make several
hundred dollars for a couple hours of work,
whenever you have time.
This business is free to join and I
won't charge you anything for the
information, just let me
know where to send you the info,

I also looked into American River Capital.... it was based in Texas and the location was River Capital which is a real company. I emailed and asked if they were associated with American River and they said they were using their laocation and President's name and sure enough the next time I checked the company mover to Maryland to an Apt complex. Watch what you invest in on line.

it feels pretty bad to loose money, but it feels even worse to loose hope! all of you who lost money with this scam do not be discouraged. there are many other ways of investing. through investments you win but you could also lose. look at howard hughes for instance, he died a rich man but lost millions during his lifetime. don't give up! read: "multiple streams of income"! God bless.

Minvestment operations were ended by a legal action. It never had anything to do with website tech probs. Word has it that they were running a Ponzi scheme. A court-order, received by e-gold, directed them to freeze minvestment accounts. e-gold suggested I
contact the lawyer who presented the order, if I have a claim to frozen assets. Michael J. Bruzzese

I'm so sorry for all who lost $, especially for the loss of hope. There is a lot of judgement out there, of us who have tried hyips, as if we are all greedy derelicts who just want an easy buck. But I believe a lot are like me, having experienced financial troubles, few options for gaining enough ground to manage our future, so high risk/big reward seemed like one of a few not-so-great options. We did not just lose $$. We lost the hope that this was the thing that would help our situations.

Minvestment is gone. I only lost a few hundred dollars. Lesson learned. No more HYIP's. How was I fooled? I thought the website was very well done. I was impressed by the daily emails advising of the interest payments. I had nothing but good experiences with "customer service" folks. I appreciated the occasional newsletters. It was an incredibly well run scam and I'm grateful that I didn't lose more then I did.

Any of you who have invested in minvestment and have expected something back are idiots. Any investment program like this is such an obvious major risk that to expect it to do anything other then go down is living in a friggin dream world. My mate put over $1000 into this with the the full expectation that the site may go down. To invest in something like this with any other sort of expectation is lunacy!!!

They were obviously coming up to the time that a lot of the 150 day's compounding interest payments of the first large investors were due to be paid out, work it out, they have been active since May 2007, how many buisness days is that? They have ran off with millions of $$$ of our money, they probably never invested any of it, just spent it!! Now it is time for them to start paying out large sums, its bye-bye Minvestment. Dont expect to see the site back up, thats a pipe dream.

When it goes thru the page will not load. I am going to turn all info that I have over to the Att. Generals office. These people have to be stopped. Everything stopped about Jan.29, 2008. There are several money-making programs online out there. Including these programs where you buy a book and hope to make money of your own by attracting referrals. That's a gamble too, so you need lots of good luck to make money at all.
At least in Minvestment, you have a better chance of making money compared to depending on a book to help you make money online.
