Monavie Juice Review

Is Monavie Juice a Scam?

Monavie is a Multi Level/Network Marketing company that has become extremely popular from its main product, Monavie Juice.  The company was founded in Jan 2005 and is currently active in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and Japan.

Monavie Juice is a blend of 19 nutrient dense fruits highlighted by the Brazilian Acai berry.  The berry is known for its high levels of antioxidants, minerals, fatty & amino acids, and Phytonutrients.  The recommended regimen for Monavie Juice is 2 to 4 ounces per day.

The real benefits to Monavie Juice are disputable since the product is not a drug there are limits to what benefits can be advertised.  Thus, the company makes blanket statements like, Monavie Juice helps against free radicals, or it's essential to maintaining a healthy & energetic lifestyle.

However, independent distributors of Monavie often add their own stories while promoting the product.  I've heard everything from Monavie Juice helps lower insulin need in diabetes patients, to the juice has helped relieve joint and ligament pain.

These stories are purely anecdotal and there are no substantiated cases of Monavie Juice having curative powers.  Further, there is no proof that any potential health benefits are exclusive to Monavie Juice and can't be obtained from a cheaper product.

However, the Monavie Juice business opportunity can be lucrative to people that are experienced in Network Marketing.  The company has even attracted some of the industries leading direct sellers such as Brig Hart.

On the flip side if you don't know how to recruit past your warm market you're going to be up the creek with this business.  Realistically in order to succeed with Monavie, and for that matter with any other MLM, you need to be able build a strong down line that will keep growing for you.

There is a reason that only 10-20% of people make money with MLMs and that's because they require immense perseverance and a lot of hard work. You also have to be careful to preserve your relationships and not be too persistent when selling to your friends and family.

Overall the Monavie Juice opportunity is not a scam, like many people have begun to call it.  If you work hard you may have success, the problem with MLMs is that when you're starting late in the game the odds tend to be stacked against you.

I have been taking MonaVie for about 2 months now and I have to admit I don't know anything about joint nor heart health benefits, but as a personal experience my general health and energy levels are absolutely amazing. I've havent felt this good and energetic since my teen years, by the way I'm 41 years old. Overall I believe in the product not for what it claims about joint health but for what it has done for me personally.

I think the main issue most of us "non-believers" have is not with the product, itself, but with our friends or family members who have been sucked in to believe they will get rich selling this wonder juice. So many of them have attended the meetings, have seen a few distributors' expensive cars and fat sales numbers and want a piece of that pie for themselves. In order to sell and sign up people, they have to believe (or at least make you believe) that this stuff is the best thing since sliced bread! I cannot count the number of e-mails I have received from long-lost friends who are "on their way to being a millionaire and feeling better than they have in years!" All I need to do is ask them how and they will change my life, too! I look forward to seeing how this MLM plays out for some of them. There are a few people who are born for MLM. They usually go from one product that has run its course to the next big thing and can make a killing if they get in at the right time. Bottom line--it is about making money! Any fruit juice without added sugar is good for you--I'm drinking some right now--paid $1.69 for a 48-oz. can. The really funny part is that there are so many things we can all do for free to make us feel better than we have in years, such as exercise at least 30 min. a day, eat less or no meat, stop smoking, get more sleep, hug a kid, pet a dog or cat...the list goes on and on. I wonder how anyone affords MonaVie with all the financial cutbacks these days.

Well Monavie has just opened its' doors in the UK and will probably be closing within a year.

Beware! Snake oil !

When will people ever learn, if you want to buy a food product, go to a supermarket.

Bald people who wear my "Lucky Pixie Bracelet" have been known to have sudden hair growth. You can get one of these for only $1million.

Todd, I'm a manager of a food testing lab. Believe me, it's not the MonaVie that's improving your lab results. AIBMR (Dr. Schauss) tested MonaVie and found only 1.48 mg/ml of total phenolics and an ORAC of 22.81 umoles/ml. This is lower than store shelf concord grape juice.

I work in a medical lab and i have tested my chol and trig. before and after drinking Mona vie for a month. The results were very good. Chol. dropped 60 pts to 173 and my trig was down to 135, down from 500. Also after drinking the active i was able to jog and play basketball again. This was not possible before because of meniscus repair. The price is cheap compared to what that much fruit would cost you from the store.

I couldn't agree with Jerry H., in Wisconsin more. I, too, agree that this is some type of cult. If this product is so effective and does all of these great things for people, that it says that it can do or has done, then why isn't it on the shelves in stores being sold or promoted. At least people wouldn't have to wonder about this "Great" product. Everyone would be given the opportunity to know about this Monavie BS. Its nothing but a scam and for those of you who says otherwise, are in denial. I am a pharmacist and I wouldn't promote this crap for anyone. If you are not sure about this drink or if you have any doubts, then let me suggest to you, DO NOT drink any of it. There are high levels of benzyle in this drink. If someone already has a pre-existing condition, such as behavioral issues and or any mental health issues, then they shouldn't be drinking any of this crap. This cult only preys on the weak and vulnerable. These cult leaders need to get a real job and stop scamming others. You are no different than drug dealers, selling a product that will eventually result in a person having organ failure and even a mental breakdown. People do feel the affects of this drink, but are in denial as to what they are. They are probably feeling ashamed that they were scammed.
Buyers BEWARE and if you have this product, you need to get rid of it.

All these negative post crack me up! No one is forcing it down your throats so relax. My wife has a friend that markets it she gave my wife a couple of bottles and said you guys try it. I used it for about two weeks, I couldn't tell a difference but within a couple of days of not taking it I felt alot worse than when I was taking it so I started taking it again then I realized how well it was working! Like I told my wife I will drink it because it works but I am not selling the stuff I have a job. For everyone that is skeptical try it if you want see if it works for you if not dont try it who cares? No one on here knows me but I am married father of 2, 39 year old, drink a couple days a week smoke usually when I drink, however, do work out 3 times a week about 2 hours a visit. have been taking Monavie about 6 months and feel better than I have for a very very long time. I am a believer:)

I believe this product works. I know personally several older adults who have had chronic joint pain. They started drinking Mona Vie and their pain was far less than it had previously been. As for me, a 23 year old, the juice seems to have given me more stamina, and an overall feeling of well being. Overall, I would surely recommend this product to anyone that can afford its price tag.

To the person who said buy an orange and donate the money you save to the homeless....Mona vie does work with poor and homeless people. They have built homes for homeless children and schools for them too. If you did a little more research you would know that Mona Vie does give back!

Mona Vie "The Panacea Of The Future".

So far with Mona Vie, I haven't any effect--probably because I eat healthy, don't smoke or drink, exercise, and drink Silver Need Tea.

However, I've been trying to help out my family members, and friends into a healthier lifestle. But people nowadays are obstinate when it comes to lifestyle change.

Anyways, to make a long story short. My uncle, grandma a type I diabetes no longer -- cured. Other friends claim that there's no more joint pain, and better sleep.

I though Mona Vie was a scam, but I was dead wrong.

The science behind the ingredients in Monavie are out there...and they're all good.

Someone said the preservative sodium benzoate is harmful, yet the levels of benzene in Monavie are tested regularly and fall well below that that the government allows in drinking water...

Most of the people that arer negative are either too lazy or too stuborn to do actual research...or maybe they tried the business side and failed...so they think it's some sort of scam.

Let me tell you something, if you're not willing to work very hard at building the relationships that make MLM business models work, then this business is not for you...plain and simple.

The person who said it's a pyramid scheme doesn't realize they go to work everyday for a pyramid scheme...they will NEVER make more than they're boss 99.9% of the time...but with Monavie, your income is directly proportional to the amount of effort you put forth.

Life's what you Make of it!

Well I have to say I'm really skeptical about a lot of things like this. However my mother & stepfather starting drinking Monavie and swear on it. My stepfather is 84 - my mother 63, yes, he robbed the cradle - anyhoo, overall he's incredibly fit & agile for his age. In the past couple of years though it seems his age is catching up to him. He had extreme knee joint pain and couldn't walk around for too long without complaining. He started taking Monavie and claims that the pain is nowhere near what it used to be. I've noticed myself that he walks around a lot longer & now that I think about it, I haven't heard him complain about pain in a long while. He even stands straighter.

The man is 84, a retired contractor, and he put up a fence a few weeks ago in their backyard. Energy much? So I'd say for some it definitely works. It seems to be a great supplement for those who don't normally eat too much fruit. I tasted it and didn't like it too much. I think those who tried it for a few days & bash it are silly. Like skin creams, people use it for a week and claim it doesn't work. People, things like that you have to use for at least 3 weeks for your body to adjust and take to it. I would say try it for a month at least and see. I think I might. I'm still a skeptic, lol, but it seems to work wonders for my stepfather. Anything that can make your quality of life better is awesome & worth trying.

You would have to try the product for yourself to see how it might benefit you. Personally, I can now sleep without tossing & turning all night & also have much more energy. There are people who I personally know who have had aches/pains disappear & other positive results. I would just say be open minded enough to form your own opinion.

My husband is a carpenter and most of his work is framing houses. He aches all the time and has a case of arthritis. His hands bother him alot as well. I also have aches after working in the yard or cleaning house all day, and just from standing and cooking. We each have been drinking about 2 to 3 ounces of the juice daily for about 6 weeks. I now can work all day in the yard and still feel great at the end of the day. My husband does not hurt any more and never complains about being stiff. I love the fact that it is all healthy and there are no side effects. It is worth the money to feel good. I don't believe vitamins alone can cure aches and pains, and who wants to take medicines that are not good for you. This stuff realy works.

I notice some of the comments on this page and it makes me laugh. Like the lady who commented that Monavie is just juice high in vitamin C. Obviously this lady has not educated herself on the product she is bashing because the main benefit of Monavie is the high antioxidant content, not vitamin C. Why do people make such a big deal out of something they don't even know anything about? People should take the time to educate themselves instead of displaying their ignorance for everyone else to read!!!

It amazes me how many people refer to the MonaVie juice as being expensive. Drinking the recommended amount of MonaVie (2oz. in the am, & 2oz. in the pm) only cost a little over $4 per day. Try to get double the recommended daily servings of fruit for only $4 each day. Remember that MonaVie is a whole food and that 4oz. of MonaVie is equal to having 13 servings of fruit based on the nutritional value. The gov. recommends 7+ servings of fruit daily. This is not an advertising number the folks at MonaVie made up to sound good, it is based off of lab testing done on the juice itself. Also, the fruits in MonaVie are of the highest quality based on the nutritional value. Have you had your fruit today? Most people could pay for their MonaVie just by ordering water instead of tea or soft drinks when they go out to eat. Not only would this save money to pay for the juice, it would also be another way to improve your health. How much is your health worth to you????????

This Mona Vie thing is a cult, with "Men's Leadership meetings", Womens Leadership programs" and "Seminars" that are very expensive, Along with "Call sessions" and "Tuesday night meetings" and you have to buy cd's and videos and you have to spend ALOT of money on "so called tools" to sell the product. Your spouse has to "get with the program" or be scorned by the "Team". Many Marriages have broken up over this "Cult like" so called "Business" that dictates how you run it but tells you it's "your business". Why can't it be advertised on the internet, or TV or radio and Print ads? And there is just no scientific proof that this juice even works. All these meetings and cd's and videos and everything else involved are just a means of brainwashing people into pushing this $30.00 a bottle of juice that they CAN'T even tell you how much Acai is in each bottle. These people are freaks and I want to thank them for showing me what a true nut job my ex wife really is. She is a so called "IBO" or independent business owner and spends all her time and money away from her family to sell this crap and hasn't made a dime from it. The ONLY people who get rich off this is the people at the top. Save your money, buy some vitamins. Save your marriage and keep your spouses out of the hands of Mona Vie Drug Dealers

The product is what it is, anything packed with natural vitamins is considered good for you and will have health benefits. I asked my doctor about it, he said save your money and buy a multi-vitamin and you will get the same results.

I gave it a fair rating based on that. Does it have benefits, yes, will it increase your health, yes..can I get the same effects from a multivitamin and eating/drinking healthy...YES

I was Drinking the recommended 2 oz twice a day. The juice gave me diarrhea. I stopped - diarrhea stopped. The rep told me to cut back to 1 oz twice a day. I did that and the diarrhea came back. I stopped so did the diarrhea.

The juice isn't for me, but others say it works wonders for them.

If it works for you, drink it. If it doesn't, don't. Why so much anger and debating over juice?

Why is it people get so excited about these home business ventures. I use Mona Vie and have noticed a significant change. I did not start because of the money, I started for the health benefit. I asked my doctor, who said any extra nutrients are a very good value for you. My take on the matter is, If you think it is a scam fine, don't try it, I personally like, Mary Kay make and tupperware and can't get it in stores. The marketing of a product that works, makes no difference to me as long as I can get it when and if I want it. For those of you who spend a great deal of time trying to bash the product you don't know, who doesn't have a life? As for the price, how much did you pay for that last bottle of beer?

Network Marketing is NOT a scam. I'm sorry but it really makes me laugh at all the people who view this type of business model as a scam. These are people with a close minded way of looking at the world. I especially love the "only people at the top make all the money" statement. Let me tell you something, unless you are self- employed you are probably already working as part of a pyramid scheme, a corporation. You have CEO's/Presidents, V.P's, District Managers, Area Managers and so on and so for until it get down to the Average Joe employee, possibly you. Now who makes the most money here. The guys "at the top", correct. Network Marketing empowers you with your own business and it's up to you what you make of it. It takes time, persistence and dedication as with any business. Now I am not involved with Mona Vie. I have a network marketing business with 4Life Research. I will not speak badly of any Network Marketing company. I will simply tell you that Network Marketing works and suggest that anyone wanting to get involved with an industy that has grown over 91% in the last decade should do their research and find one that they feel is right for them. Talk to someone already involved, the information is free.

Ladies and gentleman please... Why can't Mona Vie list all that it can do for you??? Thanks to the FDA most herbs and fruits that can cure ailments and disease are forbidden by the FDA from labeling their products with such...visit your Dr. for anything and he recommends a drug that's put out by the FDA... Now question your Dr. as to an herbal alternative and check out his/her response... It is and has been a proven fact that what's actually good for you is never recommended... If Mona Vie had a commercial on National TV you would not hear; may cause diarrhea, headaches, nausea, cramps, abdominal pains, strokes or heartache, but yet every prescription drug on the market does just that???
Scam??? I think not... Proof is with those that take and enjoy the product... Its not for everybody, neither are a lot of things in life, but one things for sure,we have all heard that old cliche you get what you pay for... I know that no one can ever put a price on good or even great health, but it comes very close to it at $6.00 a day on average... I got in with Mona vie late, but the profits are still great...

there's still ONE born every minute. These scams now have "scientific" backing and all the "health" buzzwords now in vogue but are no different than the "snake oil" of yesteryear.Look at some old magazines or newspapers for the same crap under different names. And these sales pyramids benefit no one but those at the top who ,incidentally, seem to move from one "miracle" product to the next.P.S. there are also "amazing" testimonies from people who drink their own urine.WISE UP

I encourage you to get some of your facts straight. It is just a fruit juice. It does not hear, cure or prevent any disease. However, when you give your body proper nutrition your body will do the rest of the work.

MonaVie is an amazing product! And yes I and my wife have received some great health benefits from it. I personally believe anyone who values their health should be drinking MonaVie. There are other products out there and most of them inflate their ORAC values by adding Vitamin E to their juices!

MonaVie is an amazing company. Their compensation plan is unmatched in the network marketing industry and their sales have proven that, 1 Billion in 36 months!

If MonaVie did nothing for you, I challenge you to drink an entire bottle in 2 to 3 days. You will feel something. You need to drink it for 90 days to get it into your system. If you still feel nothing, your toxicity level is low (a good thing) then MonaVie becomes preventative. So drink it for your health.

There are much less expensive products out there. It all depends on what you are willing to spend. I found an acai juice at the near supermarket for 1/4 of the price with 15000 mg of acai. The mona vie distributor could not even tell me how many mg it contained. Mona vie does taste better but I guess it just depends on what you want it is all good fruit but in the end it is all bottled "miracle juice." The glucosamine is going to help with joint pain but so do other glucosamine products.

I was introduced to MoneVie by some very close well respected professionals in my area. I read all these comments on the website but still decided to make my own opinion. #1 Most of us including myself do not consume the FDA recommended amounts of fruits & veggies. Thats the 1st reason I got started drinking this product. 2nd reason: My best friend's sugar levels have been down over 100 points since she started drinking this product. Possibly avoiding going on insulin. 3rd. I have 2 severely herniated discs in my lower back with a large amount of arthritus to boot. I am on day 6 and feel the best I have in 4 years! Perhaps this product doesn't work for all of you, but I sure as heck plan to stay on it.

I've been using/selling Monavie for about 9mos now. I have not made a thin dime from Monavie even though I have had people "sign" up as distributors but there is some right/left leg business and then there is an outside inside leg. Anyway, the product itself does what I expected. I definitely sleep better, have less joint pain, and have other noticeable things I won't mention on this site. I don't believe the product to be a miracle but I do feel it's an easy way to get some of the more important nutrients your body needs to run at its best. I know people from all walks a life who take it and sale it from housewives to physicians. It simply works, mind you on varying degrees depending on who is taking it. If we ate whole foods, got our vegetables and fruits, didn't lead a stressful life and didnt live in a polluted environment, I would think there would be little benefit of taking the product, but the sad truth, we dont eat properly, we are stressed and we are in contact with pollutants constantly. If you can afford it, I would recommend anyone to take it. Also, I have a friend, who was diagnosed with cancer and is currently undergoing chemo and he swears that monavie eases his discomfort from his treatments.

I see that people mention that the acai berry freeze dried is 1027 but that means absolutely nothing when comparing to other whole food drinks. I want to know what Monavie ORAC rating is per oz tested, and why is it not on the Monavie website? I've been researching Monavie and believe it is a good product with great testimonials but it has some downfalls. 1. It is a Proprietary blend 2. It's ORAC rating is in question 3. The nutritional value label has alot of zeros.

The critics are right. There are probably no scientific studies that prove fruits are good for you. Monavie does not claim anything but the truth backed by science. Research it, not by listening to jerks who do not know, but but reading studies and GOD forbid, try it with an open mind! My family is on it for one reason, it works. We are not looking to get rich, just healthier. Again, do your homework and be objective, or watch the news every day if you want to find something real to complain about.

Nice post Steve! The facts are pretty clear less than 1% collect 65% of all commissions. 90% make absolutely nothing. And the small percentage that do make money, most make less than minimum wage for their efforts. But I suppose they are all just lazy right? Get a life scammers...

Grow up get off your lazy a** and exercise stop eating McDonalds and get a job!!!!! Reality is here everybody judges stuff anymore cause its an effort to them so its wrong and dont do it. For those of you selling Mona Vie as a whole food I have one question. If your product has 19 organic berries than how come you have no nutritional value on the label on the back of your bottle? Your Orac score is also embarrassingly low for supposedly having 19 berries including the high anti-oxidant berry Acai. Youth Juice has 7 whole berries and 3 marine sea vegatables, 3.2 lbs of berries in every bottle, over 100% of 19 vitamins and minerals and a ORAC score of 123,000 per bottle.

My sister and I tried this juice for one week. I felt no effects and really didn't feel up to speed all week.
After 1 day on the juice my sister was exhausted. After 4 days on the juice she woke up at 4am with extreme stomach cramps. She spent the following day throwing up and in severe pain. No one else in our household -including little kids who catch everything-came down with any kind of stomach flu symptoms.
As she put it- anyone who thinks what happened to her was not a result of this juice needed to have a look at what came out of her mouth and backside.
This stuff is a drug. BE CAREFUL. Neither of us was on more than 2 ounces a day. She was out of it for 4 days.
It may be natural- but so is marijuana. Hell opium comes from a poppy plant! You can't just start eating and drinking everything nature provides!

Maybe Monavie Juice is good for you. Maybe not. The only problem I have is this MLM method. That to me is a scam. It's like a variation of the pyramid methodology. People on top make more because of the people in the bottom. If it is that good, why not just sell it in a regular way in a regular grocery store?

I started drinking MonaVie the end of Jan 2009. I have had lower back pain for the past 38 years. After I had been drinking MonaVie for 10 days I noticed that the joint pain and stiffness were gone. When I would sit for a while or get out of bed in the morning I would be so sore and stiff that I could hardly walk and all of the stiffness is gone. This truly is a God send for me. It may not work for everyone but I know what it has done for me. No Monavie doesn't make any medical claims that it can heal any disease. The healing comes when the proper nutrition is put into our body. Our bodies are fearfully and wonderfully created and will heal themselves with the right nutrition.

Mario they don't allow websites because their slimy sales force would make all kinds of illegal health claims. It would be easy for the government to track them and the company would be shut down. The FDA already had to warn the company about a false claim made on a distributor’s website. So now they just rely on making false claims behind closed doors to sell this over hyped fruit punch.

why not just look for products containing acai berry (I found one at whole foods, acai berry puree and mango) for a lot less; look for a good acai berry product and try other antioxidants...monavie wants to sell its product, understandable, but look for a good product...I'm not interested in selling or becoming a distributor, just good natural products...use your common sense...there's no miracle food, just lots of good products...do your research...takes a combination : healthy diet and exercise...not a miracle in a bottle!!

I joined on Thurday 2/5 & quit on Monday. The main reason is this: They do not let you advertise the name in public print! Not only that, but the websites you can optionally buy for $9.95/month are not allowed to be advertised. THAT IS THE MOST MORONIC DECISION BY DALLIN LARSON THE FOUNDER OF THE COMPANY! The purpose of having a website is to announce your business. Instead the only way you can tell people about your business is by word of mouth. They tell you its your own business, but people that own their own business can do ANYTHING they want to get more customers to buy their product. By Mr. Larson making the decision of not letting people advertise a website (which would bring in more distributors or revenue to the company) is TOTALLY MORONIC!

After reading more comments, I needed to add something. For those of you that seem to have had an allergic reaction, I have a few comments. First of all if the person that shared with you is not working closely with you on these issues...shame on them!! If you are allergic to nuts, you may try Mona Vie Pulse, and if you are allergic to shell fish or glucosamine (because of the shell fish) You should be drinking Mona Vie original. You get the same great benefits without the glucosamine. My good friend has fibromyalgia, but is allergic to glucosamine. She takes the original with great results. You have to work with your sponsor, and if the are not helpful but you like the product, find a new distributor that you can work with and trust!!!

All I know is I definitely feel a difference when I do not drink my Mona Vie. And as for the cost...I can not go to the store and buy 10 servings of organic fruits and vegetables a day for $4 a day. If you want a healthier life style, check it out. It may not be for everyone, but then Big Macs and heart attacks aren't for everyone either. As for the business side, am I making a killing...no...but that is not Mona Vie's fault, I have not been doing the activities to get people involved. Just like the Mary Kay lady is not going to make $ with out parties. For those that always dismiss to scam, Do you have Tupperware in your home? Buy Avon? Or even refer someone to your cable co. for a $5o bonus? All network marketing. All I can say is everyone I have shared with loves it and have joined. Most are not doing the business, and that is OK.

I have been seeing my doctor reguraly and he has not yet been able to help me. One of his nurses put me onto the mona vie active and I must say this has helped my joint pain better than anything that the doctor had recomended. The juice doesnt work right away though. My brother and his wife have been in the whole Quix Star and Team of Destiny programs for more than 7 years and now the whole thing has moved to this MonaVie Juice MLM stuff. Basically they are financially ruined and in such denial about this stuff it makes me sick. They truley believe that they are within months of hitting it big and making all this money. They travel every weekend to hotels for meetings and seminars all over the midwest. They are supposedly at the top levels and have several large "teams" of people/networking communities they have brought into the program. They cannont afford the $400.00 house payment my parents have set up for them. The banks were about to take the house this last time. But mom came to the rescue. My parents are not wealthy people. Simple farmers who work hard but are trying to help their son provide for his family. My other family members cannot even look at him in the same room these days. It has torn my family apart and to this day they honestly have not earned an honest wage to support themselves. Until my mother cuts the cord with this whole thing or until she goes to her grave (which she is in her late 70s) they will continue to bleed her dry. We all had hope and thought there was good intentions when this started but at this point it is just sickening. It would be a great one for Doctor Phil! I will give them one thing, they are persistant and hopfully it works out for them. I always tell them not to quit there day jobs but they just laugh and say just a little more time, we're almost there.... go figure.

Update...

I have been drinking the Active and the Pulse and my daughter is now drinking the juice. I ran out of Active so I was just drinking the Pulse and thought I would just wait until my monthly auto-ship arrived but around day 5 I realized my fibromyalga pain was back! I quickly got more Active and am feeling much better again. I just thought I'd share that with you all. I also know some people do not see a difference but those same people admit to trying it but not as directed.

The more I use it the better I feel. This stuff tastes great too. I think I could drink it all day like ordinary juice. Some people have told me it is too sweet, others think it's tart, go figure.

I have arthritis and a neighbor recommended Mona Vie to me. Within 4 days, the pain went away - I was ecstatic! It tastes great, too. But 1 week into drinking Mona Vie Active (2 oz per day), I had an allergic reaction to shellfish - something I've eaten my entire life. My allergist has said a year ago that I do have a shellfish allergy, but I had never reacted to it in anyway. I continued to drink Mona vie active for another week but began to have allergic reactions to other foods that I've eaten my whole life. I have discontinued using Monavie and am depending on steriods/benedryl to reduce the immflamation in mouth and throat and hives on my skin. I had really hoped this natural product was my saving grace instead of relying on pharm companies. But if you have food allergies, just be careful. I wish I didn't have to discontinue the use of Monavie.

This Monavie stuff is pure hype and no substance. You'll hear claims that it's the equivalent of anywhere from 5-15 servings of fruit (the nutritional label clearly shows that this is not even close to being true). You'll hear testimonials of how it did this and that for a person’s health. Undocumented testimonials are the common denominator in health fraud, don't believe me check the FTC and FDA's websites. This is a scam. It's been around for years and the only "studies" they can produce to show a benefit are conducted by a quack named Shauss and his company AIMBR. He just happens to also be the one supplying the company with their Acai. It's just the latest money making scheme cooked up by Dallen Larsen. It's completely bogus. Over 90% of the "distributors" make less than minimum wage. Less than 5% make a living wage. You'll hear "well they aren't working the business" or "there are a lot passive distributors." Just not true. The reality is 70% drop out right away. It's funny that the number is 70% because studies have shown that placebos are usually effective on 30% of the people who take them. Studies also show that expensive placebos are more effective than cheap ones.
If you're involved in this scam it's time to cut your losses and realize you've been conned. If something sounds too good to be true it usually is and that's certainly the case with Monavie. There is no magic fruit punch that can replace your daily servings of fruit or offer miracle health benefits. I wish that there were but I live in the real world not fantasy MLM land and such a thing simply does not exist.

Dallin Larson founded Mona Vie, he used to work for Usana Health Science and helped founded Usana. He helped grow the associates to 70,000 people and helped make up the compensation plan. Then he ditched out and started his own company.
The Product, Acai berry juice plus other fruit juices. Mona Vie company, you build two legs on your downline,, and qualify for commission based on the shorter leg. That longer leg? Too bad. Bonuses stop whenever the shorter leg ends. You can usually be sure of one thing in MLMs. The more complicated the pay plan the less it benefits the members. And oooh...you can have up to four business centers. That means more purchases of products by you in order to get your commission. A distributor must order at least four bottles of juice per month, which amounts to about 130.00 plus shipping and taxes. This is a common part of the MLM game. You can't get your comission unless you buy a minimum amount of their product. Information from Sequence Inc. Fraud Files Blog. You can look it up under Fraud Files Blog.

Please research what a MLM system is so you at least know what you are talking about, for those of you who clearly do not know. As far as the consumer's point of view, I think this juice is like any other food/beverage on the market. Every consumer has a goal in mind when buying their groceries. Some consumers prefer to buy organic rather than non-organic b/c they feel it's better for them, the flavor is better or whatever the case may be. I don't think this juice is suppose to act as a miracle worker or some kind of medicine type product. I put it on the same line as organic foods. These products do not cure anything. They are not made to cure health problems. I do believe these products do help your body be the best that it can be to fight diseases or sicknesses. I do believe that some individual's digestive system may not get along with this juice. It's the same thing with lactose intolerant individuals and milk. I have a family member who gets heartburn sometimes after eating fruit. That family member may experience the same thing if they were to drink Monavie. Everyone's body is different, so I don't think that this juice maybe for everyone. Having said that, I think that you have to decide for yourself if this product will benefit you realistically like you want it to.

Dr   NJ

7:15pm on Sunday, October 5th, 2008

Testimonials are not proof of benefit. They are simply observations of associations that may or may not be coincidental. When a product is reported to cure everything from head to toe, it probably cures nothing. I'm a physician with a very open mind. I have seen products like monavie come and go for the past 30 years. This one is no different. If you want the feel-good health benefits of liquid nutrition, get a juicer and save yourself a ton of money... monavie is incredibly more expensive that its combined ingredients and packaging. Just a importantly, save yourself the time, work, disappointment, and embarrassment of getting involved in a sales scheme that leaves you high and dry while the bigtime scammers make bigtime money on your bigtime foolishness. Monavie is a classic fad that will fade in time. Don't get caught in the squeeze, wasting the hard-earned money of friends and family in the process.

I have taken the juice and not really noticed much for myself, but my husband says he noticed I seemed more energetic. He and everyone else thought for sure I must've had anemia. I'm sure the juice is doing alot for me than I know as far as internally with all those antioxidants and glucosamine. As far as my husband, he used to be on gout medicine. His gout used to bother him terribly. Now that he has been on monavie for a few months he's off the medicine and has had no trace of gout whatsoever. That goes for my step grandfather too who also had really bad gout. He hasn't had a problem since monavie either. My grandmother says her fibromyalga (sp?) and back pains and leg pains have all went away. I know for a fact my husband isn't lying because he's been out of gout medicine for months now, and I'm sure my granparents aren't making things up either. Basically, from what I've seen, I think the active kind helps alot with joint problems because of the high glucosamine content and other problems caused from lack of nutrition.
Just so everyone understands, you don't really sell it you just buy it for yourself and get other people to sign up and start buying it for themselves. You get them to do this by sharing (not selling) your monavie with them. If they like it then they sign up to buy it and they will in turn share theirs with someone and so on.I must admit, the juice is expensive, but some people claim they just can't be without it.

Networking Marketing is a 100 Billion Dollar a year business. It is a legal and ethical business system in which people in a downline can make more than their upline. A pyramid scheme is illegal, and are squashed almost as soon as they pop up.

If you work for a company right now, in a traditional sense, look at your business structure. You have your grunt level emplopyees, managed by team leads, who are managed by managers, who are managed by other managers all the way up the chain to the president or CEO.

Is that not pyramid in structure? Its not illegal either, but its designed in a way to keep you from making more money than anyone above you. You trade 40 hours a week, at a negotiated hourly rate and they will decide if you get raises, or get time off. You are, under capitalistic philosophy, a wage slave.

With Network Marketing, you learn to leverage your time, so that you can do less work and make far more money out of it. Its starts out slow, but when it picks up, there is no stopping it.

Its comical to listen to people talk about the $40 price tag on the bottle. If you don't like the price, but you like the juice, then sign up! You'll get a slight discount from being a distributor. Because there is no shortage of people with aches and pains, you'll end up mentioning it to other people who will try it, like and and sign up as well. In a few months, your juice is being paid for. After a while, you'll be paid to drink it. Can anyone tell me what is wrong with that? Know anyone who is willing to pay you to drink their juice?

As for whether this product works or not, you have to understand nutrition. No, in general, when it comes to health and nutrition, we as a society otherwise known as the mainstream, know jack. We're raised to believe that pumping pharmaceutical products is what we need to do to fix our problems. Nutrition is deteriorated at a rapid rate. This is why we're plagued with diseases and such today. Its not that the diseases are getting worse, its that we're mal nourished and we're becoming more vulnerable.

Although the acai berry is the crown jewel of Monavie, the potency of the Monavie juice comes mainly from the blend. The synergy of the blend immeasurable. I've watched it transform my grandmother, my own mother, my two aunts but with the younger crowd, it had less dramatic effects.

What it can do for you will depend on what you're deficient of, and what the state of your health and immune system is. I understand enough about nutrition and health to know how and why this juice works. I didn't need to be convinced of that. I believe the testimonies I read. These aren't miracles. This is basic nutrition. Something society is very ignorant about.

Now, why can't Monavie make claims as to what it can cure and heal??

The FDA, who regulate what we ingest, have not approved or authorized any such claims. You'll notice that no natural products or vitamin supplements have such claims. Reason being is that a company would have to put millions of dollars into research under FDA scrutiny in order to get approval.

No company wants to spend millions on research on any natural product, because anything natural cannot be patented. If it cannot be patented, then it cannot be sold exclusively for lucrative money. This is what drug companies do.

A healthy level of skepticism is encouraged whenever you see products such as these. However, one should take the time and effort to try it, other wise, you end up with an unhealthy and ignorant level of skepticism which just makes people look foolish.

Ok,
First off, many of you say it works very well. This sounds very much like a "testimonial," and not a real person. On the other hand; some say they feel nothing and/or end up in the hospital. I myself have been taking the juice for almost a year. I have been getting stomach problems since taking it. Also, their has been no notice on my part in any mental or medical changes except the stomach problems and a possible ulcer. With that said. Others I know that went with me to the meeting and also bought juice said they noticed no changes. Overall I have to say this. I believe that Monavie has not had enough HARD research put into the effects and negative effects on MANY different people. I think some will find the juice great. Well some end up in the ER. So to end this I believe this company should review their product for possible side effects if not already done so.

monavie has helped me in so many ways.I had a back injury in 2002 and have tried every type of therapy and pain killers, noting worked. 5 years later I stared drinking monavie on daily bases and became completely mobile again. If you feel no benefit from drinking the product your not drinking enough or on a regular basis. people who are against monavie are missing out.

I am starting my 85 year old mother on it. Although not sure at all when I started on this, I have since stopped using my sleep apnea machine ( which also encompased 3 meds I took) , gave up cellebrex for my knees and now my reading glasses are missing and I don't care. If this was all coincidence ( I doubt it!), I won't stop taking this wonder berry. Other juices out there don't have the same makeup of Monavie and they " spray" a little acai on it.
From someone who makes plenty of money in my usual business without selling this , I can tell it it's wonderful and it's like Hellman's Mayonaise, somehow or another there is only one brand I use, Monavie.

I went to a meeting last night. I am skeptical. It sounds a little like "Noni Juice". I would be lying to say I'm not looking for some kind of financial miracle. After loosing my Job, my home, my health insurance. I am either overqualified for one type of job, or under-qualified for another. Associates degrees suck. I am going back to school, but there isn't much help out there for 2nd degree students, who already owe $10k in loans. I am looking for a way to pay my car payment and my gas and attain some fraction of my former life. Is this "the boat"? you're comments equal a fifty-fifty split. I am really confused at this juncture. My former, fellow co-worker is making $10k a week. I think I might throw up.

I have no known food allergies. I am a very healthy, active 45 year old female. I took Monavie for 6 days/nights. On the 6th night I had a severe anaphylactic reaction within a half hour of consuming it, and I ended up in the ER.

So although many people seem to benefit from the product, I had a very scary and dangerous experience with it.

I am curious how many similar incidences have occurred.

First of all folks! Monavie doesnt 'make' health cure claims. What MOST miss with this, is it is pure nutrition, when your body is in balace, hydrated, and all nutrition needs are met? Your body can then HEAL itself! It was created to do just that. Like anything, you have to incorporate a whole package to achieve healing/good health. You dont pop a pill and just lose weight, millions of people can attest that. Over 80% of people DO NOT get the 7-9 servings fruit/veggies per day, which is 'part' of the minimum to obtain good health. Education is what is necessary-for everyone, and many are missing the total picture by a long shot. Forgive me, i am not intending to offend anyone! But with Billions being spent in synthetic drugs that if you read the 'side/long term effects, there's always a price for using them, and consider due to our disgusting nutrition and 'empty' foods, NO wonder there are more sick than healthy folks. Monavie, for many more than not? DOES provide the NUTRITION necessary for their body to begin healing, and Naturally. And yes, as you begin to feel better, you 'think' better, & begin to treat your body better, thats where the 'health claims' come into reality. I am in energy healing, and YES i have seen 'miracles' there too. When healing is done in the mind/emotions, the body heals as well. I agree, i am having some trouble with the way it is sold, BUT i am doing my research, BEFORE i open my mouth, what i cannot yet refute is there is incredible evidence that indeed, it is what it says it is! Nutrition. It is not much more expensive than buying all the supplements needed, with the proper direction, and your not taking 15 to 20 pills a day that you are with natural supplements. AND, because its liquid, you absorb much more than your body can out of pill form. Do more real research, and you will be amazed what you learn!

I have a co-worker who tried to get me to sell this juice. She told me I can quit my job and it was basically the cure for all. What's funny is she takes this juice daliy and still gets horrible migraines, complains she's dizzy, de-hydrated,etc. So looks like it didn't work for her.

Mona Vie Juice is the real deal guys! I have had serious arthritis in my hands for the past 25 years since working in packaging in a meat packing plant. After drinking 2 oz. of the juice two times a day the pain is gone. I thought this was in my head, so I gave my father 2 bottles of Mona Vie as he has diabitis. After 2 weeks on the juice his blood sugar level dropped so significantly he is off 4 different pills he was taking. Cheers to your Health!!

I have been with Monavie for about 1 year and my back pain had gone for good. I think Monavie products have proof it selft. You buy the products and you got. Not likes other network marketing claim.

Thanks,

Monavie is a scam...I don't care how many testimonials you have that promote a juice, multi-level marketing is just another way to say "pyramid scam". They use a questionable marketing tactic called blind-siding...you want to try a bottle, all of a sudden you are a distributor. $35/bottle, they forget to tell you that you are buying a case of four bottles every 28 days + shipping and handling. Nor do they tell you that if you refuse the shipment, they won't refund all your money. You will have to file a complaint with the FTC, and an appeal with your credit card company to get your full refund. According to the FTC, any company that you return a product has exactly 10 days to refund the full amount you paid.
Health-wise, I have GERD, fibromyalgia and and Chrone's disease. WARNING: the acidity level in this drink burned my throat, and I am looking forward to the day I can eat a meal and not become nauseated. So what if they have attorneys and the best marketing people in the country. Crime syndicates have attorneys, and just because you can sell something without talking about it, doesn't mean you are an honest marketing professional. Listen to the "Six This" CD program. If you are a marketing professional, which I am; I would never use on a client. How do the "distributors" sleep at night?
The guy on the CD sounds drunk first off, secondly he tells you not to say anything about the product and not to mention the shipping costs.
The acai berry may have helpful benefits to some people, but remember there was a time in our country when Penicillin was a "miracle drug", and many people benefited from its' use. There are also many people who died from it due to allergic reactions or intolerance.
Just because a product is patented doesn't mean it is safe for everyone. Testimonies-some people are real, but being in marketing, many are ficticious. Writers can write anything that sounds to good to be true. If it sounds to be good to be true, be wary.

My spouse believes all the hype because he doesn't shop. If acai is what this product is about then you can get a variety of concentrated juices that include acai in the supermarkets for a LOT less money. I believe the "sellers" are selling the hype and the packaging. I agree that the acai berry is full of antioxidants but it has only TWICE the amount of blueberries and i can buy blueberries for so much less. Monavie is for people who don't eat fruits. It is VERY expensive bottled concentrated fruit juice.
