Monavie Juice Scam?

Monavie is a Multi Level/Network Marketing company that has become extremely popular from its main product, Monavie Juice.  The company was founded in Jan 2005 and is currently present in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and Japan.

Monavie Juice is a blend of 19 nutrient dense fruits highlighted by the Brazilian Acai berry.  The berry is known for its high levels of antioxidants, minerals, fatty & amino acids, and Phytonutrients.  The recommended regimen for Monavie Juice is 2 to 4 ounces per day.

The real benefits to Monavie Juice are disputable, since the product is not a drug there are limits to what benefits can be advertised.  Thus, the company makes blanket statements like, Monavie Juice helps against free radicals, or it's essential to maintaining a healthy & energetic lifestyle.

However, independent distributors of Monavie often add their own stories while promoting the product.  I've heard everything from Monavie Juice helps lower insulin need in diabetes patients, to the juice has helped relieve joint and ligament pain.

These stories are purely anecdotal and there are no substantiated cases of Monavie Juice having curative powers.  Further there is no proof that any potential health benefits are exclusive to Monavie Juice and can't be obtained from a cheaper product.

However, the Monavie Juice business opportunity can be lucrative to people that are experienced in Network Marketing.  The company has even attracted some of the industries leading direct sellers such as Brig Hart.

On the flip side if you don't know how to recruit past your warm market you're going to be up the creek with this business.  Realistically in order to succeed with Monavie, and for that matter with any other MLM, you need to be able build a strong down line that will keep growing for you.

There is a reason that only 10-20% of people make money with MLMs and that's because they require immense perseverance and a lot of hard work. You also have to be careful to preserve your relationships and not be to persistent when selling to your friends and family.

Overall the Monavie Juice opportunity is not a scam, like many people have begun to call it.  If you work hard you may have success, the problem with MLMs is that when your starting late in the game the odds tend to be stacked against you.

Many people don't know that they can still get the benefits of Acai Berry Juice without all the hassles of an MLM business or the need to deal with pushy recruiters.  Click Here to Get One Free Bottle of Certified Acai Berry Juice.

Best of Luck,

I have been on Monavie for 3 weeks, I can't say enough about what it has done for me. I have more energy than I have had in years, my knee pain is gone, and I sleep through the night. I have become a distributor, not just for the money but for the health benefits it has given me. It has truly been a miracle for me.

Networking Marketing is a 100 Billion Dollar a year business. It is a legal and ethical business system in which people in a downline can make more than their upline. A pyramid scheme is illegal, and are squashed almost as soon as they pop up.

If you work for a company right now, in a traditional sense, look at your business structure. You have your grunt level emplopyees, managed by team leads, who are managed by managers, who are managed by other managers all the way up the chain to the president or CEO.

Is that not pyramid in structure? Its not illegal either, but its designed in a way to keep you from making more money than anyone above you. You trade 40 hours a week, at a negotiated hourly rate and they will decide if you get raises, or get time off. You are, under capitalistic philosophy, a wage slave.

With Network Marketing, you learn to leverage your time, so that you can do less work and make far more money out of it. Its starts out slow, but when it picks up... read more »

Ok,
First off, many of you say it works very well. This sounds very much like a "testimonial," and not a real person. On the other hand; some say they feel nothing and/or end up in the hospital. I myself have been taking the juice for almost a year. I have been getting stomach problems since taking it. Also, their has been no notice on my part in any mental or medical changes except the stomach problems and a possible ulcer. With that said. Others I know that went with me to the meeting and also bought juice said they noticed no changes. Overall I have to say this. I believe that Monavie has not had enough HARD research put into the effects and negative effects on MANY different people. I think some will find the juice great. Well some end up in the ER. So to end this I believe this company should review their product for possible side effects if not already done so.

To Just Wondering, Lost in Time:
From researching the two products, Amazon Thunder seems to be purely acai juice and Monavie is made up of 19 different fruits.

monavie has helped me in so many ways.I had a back injury in 2002 and have tried every type of therapy and pain killers, noting worked. 5 years later I stared drinking monavie on daily bases and became completely mobile again. If you feel no benefit from drinking the product your not drinking enough or on a regular basis. people who are against monavie are missing out.

I am starting my 85 year old mother on it. Although not sure at all when I started on this, I have since stopped using my sleep apnea machine ( which also encompased 3 meds I took) , gave up cellebrex for my knees and now my reading glasses are missing and I don't care. If this was all coincidence ( I doubt it!), I won't stop taking this wonder berry. Other juices out there don't have the same makeup of Monavie and they " spray" a little acai on it.
From someone who makes plenty of money in my usual business without selling this , I can tell it it's wonderful and it's like Hellman's Mayonaise, somehow or another there is only one brand I use, Monavie.

I went to a meeting last night. I am skeptical. It sounds a little like "Noni Juice". I would be lying to say I'm not looking for some kind of financial miracle. After loosing my Job, my home, my health insurance. I am either overqualified for one type of job, or under-qualified for another. Associates degrees suck. I am going back to school, but there isn't much help out there for 2nd degree students, who already owe $10k in loans. I am looking for a way to pay my car payment and my gas and attain some fraction of my former life. Is this "the boat"? you're comments equal a fifty-fifty split. I am really confused at this juncture. My former, fellow co-worker is making $10k a week. I think I might throw up.

I have no known food allergies. I am a very healthy, active 45 year old female. I took Monavie for 6 days/nights. On the 6th night I had a severe anaphylactic reaction within a half hour of consuming it, and I ended up in the ER.

So although many people seem to benefit from the product, I had a very scary and dangerous experience with it.

I am curious how many similar incidences have occurred.

First of all folks! Monavie doesnt 'make' health cure claims. What MOST miss with this, is it is pure nutrition, when your body is in balace, hydrated, and all nutrition needs are met? Your body can then HEAL itself! It was created to do just that. Like anything, you have to incorporate a whole package to achieve healing/good health. You dont pop a pill and just lose weight, millions of people can attest that. Over 80% of people DO NOT get the 7-9 servings fruit/veggies per day, which is 'part' of the minimum to obtain good health. Education is what is necessary-for everyone, and many are missing the total picture by a long shot. Forgive me, i am not intending to offend anyone! But with Billions being spent in synthetic drugs that if you read the 'side/long term effects, there's always a price for using them, and consider due to our disgusting nutrition and 'empty' foods, NO wonder there are more sick than healthy folks. Monavie, for many more than not? DOES provide the NUTRITION neces... read more »

I have a co-worker who tried to get me to sell this juice. She told me I can quit my job and it was basically the cure for all. What's funny is she takes this juice daliy and still gets horrible migraines, complains she's dizzy, de-hydrated,etc. So looks like it didn't work for her.

Mona Vie Juice is the real deal guys! I have had serious arthritis in my hands for the past 25 years since working in packaging in a meat packing plant. After drinking 2 oz. of the juice two times a day the pain is gone. I thought this was in my head, so I gave my father 2 bottles of Mona Vie as he has diabitis. After 2 weeks on the juice his blood sugar level dropped so significantly he is off 4 different pills he was taking. Cheers to your Health!!

Monavie is a scam...I don't care how many testimonials you have that promote a juice, multi-level marketing is just another way to say "pyramid scam". They use a questionable marketing tactic called blind-siding...you want to try a bottle, all of a sudden you are a distributor. $35/bottle, they forget to tell you that you are buying a case of four bottles every 28 days + shipping and handling. Nor do they tell you that if you refuse the shipment, they won't refund all your money. You will have to file a complaint with the FTC, and an appeal with your credit card company to get your full refund. According to the FTC, any company that you return a product has exactly 10 days to refund the full amount you paid.
Health-wise, I have GERD, fibromyalgia and and Chrone's disease. WARNING: the acidity level in this drink burned my throat, and I am looking forward to the day I can eat a meal and not become nauseated. So what if they have attorneys and the best marketing people in the country. C... read more »

My spouse believes all the hype because he doesn't shop. If acai is what this product is about then you can get a variety of concentrated juices that include acai in the supermarkets for a LOT less money. I believe the "sellers" are selling the hype and the packaging. I agree that the acai berry is full of antioxidants but it has only TWICE the amount of blueberries and i can buy blueberries for so much less. Monavie is for people who don't eat fruits. It is VERY expensive bottled concentrated fruit juice.

I just started drinking the juice and it's hard for me to say if it's working. I just want to respond to the person who drank the juice and resulted to anaphylactic shock. As I was reading the ingredients of this juice, people who are allergic to nuts and some of the ingredients should not drink this because it will result to an allergic reaction. So please be careful.

I just want to add that practically all the negative comments are coming from people who haven't tried it or taken it religiously every day for at least a month. How can you make a negative comment if you've never even tried it? I agree the way they sell it is annoying but that's just the way it is!

Mona Vie CURED my Rheumatoid Arthritis! I can make this claim because it is a medical fact. Along with NUMEROUS other benefits, the four abnormalities in my blood, diagnosing RA, became NORMAL after 2 months of drinking this juice. My doctor NEVER saw this before! I have stopped my RA meds along with pain meds and continue to have PERFECT BLOOD for over a year now. Now does that sound like a scam? Also, I don't sell it or make money in any way. I find it would take too much work and I'm not a good sales person. Instead, I joined for about $40 so I could buy it at the distributer's price. I order 2 cases at once for $253.00 (that's with shipping) and it lasts two months. I've seen health stores selling each bottle for nearly $50.00! The way I buy it, it costs $31.50 a bottle which is about $5.00 a day. MY HEALTH IS WORTH IT! Any questions, I'd be happy to try and help.

My piano student's mom introduced me to Monavie. I only bought a bottle for PR's sake. I drank it and after about 5 weeks my sinuses started clearing up. About 2 weeks later, I went to bed and noticed my compressed low back pain that I had had for 14 years felt relief. That is what sold me on the product. After years of spending money on Chiropractors, Acupunturists, Traditional Medicine and even Bioenergetics, they only lasted while I was in treatment. Monavie has lasted much longer (7 months) is much less expensive for this unexpected result and actually worked. I recommend it.

Just like anything else, you really have to try it for yourself. I was very skeptical, but my Father kept begging me to try it, (which was oddly out of character for him). I finally did just to keep him quiet. I must say I was quite surprised when I immediately began sleeping through the night for the first time since my three year old son was born. The result was more energy! Additional benefits began revealing themselves one by one. Most people who decide to join this marketing project do so because they have reaped personal benefits from this juice. We spend so much money every day on foods with ingredients we can't even pronounce. In addition we put blind faith and money into medicines that often do more harm than good. To that effect, a $39 start up fee seems minimal when compared with the benefits. Discover it for yourself.

MonaVie is the real deal. You get what you pay for. Why aren't Cartier diamonds available at the local jeweler? Quality or Quantity. There are plenty of companies jumping on the acai bandwagon, however, the patent protected acai powder cannot be duplicated. So all of you who think the imposter is the same for less $- you get what you pay for. This stuff is the best thing you could ever put in your body! Monavie baby- Monavie!

I am just beginning to research the monavie program. I have been involved in other network marketing ideas that turned sour. However, I have yet to find any logical argument to the downfall of this juice or the company for that matter. I have been drinking the juice for about a week and have felt better in many ways and have slept better. Maybe it is pshchological, maybe not. I couldn't say. I can say that I personally know several people that have began making fairly decent money in a relativly short time. If there are any legitimate negative arguments out there I would love to hear them so that I may investigate. Until then I would have to say that I am sold on both the juice and the program.

This has been a really interesting thread. I, for one, wish that those that drink MonaVie would not post testimonials. It is dangerous because they imply health claims and it puts the company in danger. For those that are negative about MLM, there is not much to be said. It is not for everyone, but a traditional company is not for everyone either. Why discourage someone else from what they want to achive? Forget the testimonials and forget the negativity about MLM, research the PRODUCT and then share an opinion. The negative comments posted really show a lack of information or misinformation - except for the person with the anaphylactic shock. Anyone can be allergic to anything - always read labels. Do your research and you will find that MonaVie is an exceptional product considering the convenience and value. I agree that one could create a blend of fruit at home that contained a similar ORAC value, but it would require a tremendous amount of fruit. Plus, part of what we are... read more »

First of all if Monavie was a fabulous product, why is it only available through pyramid type sales? Why is this "Super Product" not readily available in stores and mass marketed? Secondly, a large percentage of Monavie's claims contain the word "may". A low fat diet "may help you loss weight, a cookie " may taste good. Yes, a diet may work if you stick to it, a cookie may taste good if it was made with tasty ingredients. There is no 100% guarantee. I am sure that there are health benefits to Monavie, there are health benefits to eating an apple or any fruit for that matter. I am certain as many people jump on the Monavie band wagon, many are jumping off. The expense is ridiculous. Eat fruit, drink water, exercise and donate to charity. Come on people, there are people who don't have anything to eat and you are wasting precious dollars on Monavie? Get real!! Every scam deserves a sucker...climb on board "the get rich train!!"

Well, after reading all of the things written I am scratching my head. First, yes, you can buy the Acai mixed drink in the Grocery store, but, keeping the drink in your stomach is another thing all together. It tasted worse than nasty.($5.50 for 2 bottles, you would need 60 bottles for 1 month, total cost $165.00) Second, my dad was taken OFF of his blood pressure meds after taking this for 2 weeks.( he was on them 10 years) It was easy to see his legs were not swolen. My father has written proof from the Doctor. Like Nancy G. our friends and family are not going to lie to us or any one else.
Mona Vie is real and all of these people either have never drank it or possiably have their own agenda. So, if these people are saying don't believe the people drinking it, then why should you believe these people telling you not to believe it.

Both my girl friend and I went to a Mona Vie testing a few weeks ago. As I'm a Naturopathic Physician I was a little skeptical bout the whole thing. After listening to our guest speaker and asking a lot of questions, we took home a bottle of this juice (free of charge). The first night both of us poured about 2 oz of Mona Vie Active. As I felt no different the next morning, my girl friend told me she sleep better and felt better after suffering from a car accident a few months prior. Both of us poured 2 oz of the Mona Vie Active until the bottle was empted and few days later. After being off of the juice we both notice that the juice was actually working and now we felt like we did before we started taking it a week ago.

Our conclusion is that the Mona vie active, gives you more antioxidants than other comparable products. On an average most people don’t receive the vitamins and minerals that the body needs. My clinic is now offering to patents the Mona Vie and Mona Vie Active. So ... read more »

Monavie Juice is not a scam!..., First of all there are many amazing testimonies from people who are drinking Monavie and what it has done for them. I highly doubt that my friend's mother is making up the fact that she feels better now after years of pain. I don't think that I am imagining that I have more energy and my joints feel better now too. I really don't think the other testimonies that I have heard are false either. I know how I feel and what it has done for other people. That is all that matters to me.

Second of all no company can make a claim that the "potential health benefits" are exclusive to that company only. I believe the part you may have misunderstood is that Monavie has a powerful, freeze dried Acai powder (Opti Acai) that is PATENT protected. The freeze dried Acai powder has a high ORAC score of 1027. Do you know any other company that can make that claim and stand behind it? Monavie does have science behind it's product. You will be hearing more and more about... read more »
