Is My-Data-Team.com a Scam...?

My Data Team is a program that claims to teach people how to make money online with a modern form of data entry. They say that using their Global Data Entry method you have the potential to make $300 - $2,000 per day! There is a growing number of these programs popping up on the internet, and they all share a lot of the same characteristics.

They make outlandish claims of how much money you can make and tell you that no experience is required to start. However, if you read between the lines you can figure out what they're really trying to sell you in place of typical data entry work.

These types of companies often use ambiguous language to convince you that they'll provide you access to legitimate jobs. However when they say things like Non-Traditional Data Entry what they really mean is affiliate marketing.

And, when they say they have access to over 17,000 companies that need your help promoting their products they're really talking about affiliate network sites like ClickBank. These sites are free to join and simply provide listings of companies who are accepting affiliates to promote their products.

The other thing that you have to watch out for is when these data entry companies say things like, "all you need to do is fill out short 3-5 sentence forms." The forms they're talking about are provided by search engines like Google, Yahoo, and MSN for paid product advertising campaigns.

It appears that My-Data-Team also trains you in free methods of online advertising. This usually entails posting short blurbs to online classifieds, doing various forms of article marketing, and so on. Either way the point is that you will be getting paid on a commission basis and not hourly for the work that you do.

I wouldn't call My-Data-Team.com a scam as they do provide some links to freelance resources and show you how to get jobs doing things for webmasters and bloggers such as getting paid to write articles.

They are different enough from the common data entry programs to not be called a scam but their main section on global data entry is still a training system that deals with affiliate marketing.

I work online with a method where you can make several hundred dollars for a couple hours of work, whenever you have time.

Seriously, I was about to join these guys 5 minutes ago, but I got really curious because their site wasn't giving me enough information. And I"m already in a program that's doing the same exact thing. You choose these "11,000 +" companies and you have to try and promote their products. It sounds simple at first, but it's really hard because you have to actually advertise all over the internet in places that are always saturated with other people who're doing the same as you. And you only get paid if someone clicks your ad out of the other 1,000 similar ads posted by other affiliates who's promoting that product. So it's pretty much a rat race finding out where you can advertise and the process never gets easier, it only gets harder. I've been doing this for over 3 weeks and I still haven't gotten any money yet. I hate being an affiliate marketer. I just want something that I can type and make money off of it because I love to type all the time. But making advertisements are so tiring ... read more »

I too paid for the program and then found that there was information overload and decided that it wasn't for me. So I sent and email asking for a refund and then got and email telling me to send the reciept from pay pal. So I sent them an email with the confirmation of the payment and since then had heard nothing. I guess I am not geting my money back. That stinks.

There are two companies I have found called MY DATA TEAM. The one I've been working for is MY-DATA-TEAM. I'm not filling out forms, I'm promoting companies. It has a sign up free but it's 100% money back guarantee. I'm constantly emailing asking questions and they have always answered my email within 24 hours. I pay nothing at all to promote the links I am given after picking the company I want to promote. I've been working with them for a month and I am very happy. My profits haven't beed as good as I had hoped but I have learned so much, people are paying me to market their links for them. I've had a great experience with this particular site. The other data team site, it is a scam. Just make sure you are picking the right one. Good luck to you!

What a huge rip off. I gave my money, applied for jobs, emails didn't work properly and their was no one to contact to recieve a refund. All the emails kept coming back to me has an error advising me please enter the correct email address. Well is was the address I linked from their website.
