MyDollarShop.com

MyDollarShop.com is a company that sells online ecommerce stores to the general public.  They claim that when you purchase a MyDollarShop website you'll be able to make money selling products you never have to see, store, or ship...but what's the real price of MyDollarShop.com?

There are a ton of complaints online about this company and the majority deal with the same recurring issue, which is billing.  The reason that so many people complain about this and call MyDollarShop.com a scam is because they have a rather deceptive billing practice.

On the order page of MyDollarShop.com they advertise that they will waive all franchise fees and send you the $39.95 kit for free.  What happens is that most people don't bother to read the terms and conditions, which essentially state that when you order the free kit you're signing up for a 14 day trial period of MyDollarShop.com.

Throughout that time if you choose to edit your MyDollarShop website or keep it past the 14 day trial period you will find out the real cost of doing business with them, $39.95 per month.  Since this is clearly outlined in their agreement policy it's very difficult for the folks that have fallen for this to get their money back.

Unless your absolutely positive that you want to work with MyDollarShop.com I would recommend avoiding the company altogether.  You shouldn't pay money to businesses that aren't up front about the costs of their product.

Further, even if they didn't conceal the price of their product the opportunity itself is not very profitable.  It's very difficult to make money with a standard ecommerce store since you're forced to compete with giant sales websites like Amazon and Overstock.  So unless you have an original product to market you won't be able to keep up with the competition.

I work online with a method where you can make several hundred dollars for a couple hours of work, whenever you have time.

This business is free to join and I won't charge you anything for the information, just let me know where to send you the info, Click Here.

Best of Luck,
Steve Albright

I had read all the information on the MY Dollarshop, and everything seemed to be legit. So I ordered it on Aug. 29 2008. Today is the 5 of Sept. and I have not gotten my shop up on c/p yet. Also had not received my kit. I tried to call them Sept.3, and was told the lines were down. I was going to cancel. Something just didn't seem right and so I followed my intuition and just cancelled my credit card and was told my $1.97 would be taken care of also. I would not be charged. Also, would like to let you know they are working out of a lot of states for their cancellations. The one I talked to was in Chgo.and was told the co. was in Fla. She couldn't give me no address.I am very familiar with Chgo. and got friendly with her & found this out. So all these things I've just read on this line is true. " ITS A SCAM "

After reading these comments, I have been trying to reach someone all day to no avail. I have a number that is supposed to be open 24/7. They say they are closed. I fell for there line. I will be cancelling as soon as I can. People can't view my sight and I can't get answers to my repeated e-mails. Just another way to get your money.

I was checking them out, because I got an email. Thankfully I did, or I'd be in the same shoes. I don't understand how they can continue to do this. How tragic, I want to thank you all for your posts, I'm one YOU saved.

Just as the other complaints, the company started billing me $40.00 plus dollar a month. Not right! It was not disclosed or I wouldn't have signed up.

Back in May I fell for their scam and agreed to receive information and they would only charge me a nominal amount for S & H. The same day I phoned them to tell them that I only want the information and not to charge me for anything else. They assured me that I was not in their system for monthly billing. All was fine until today (8/7/08) when they charged my account for $39.95. I called and complained and they said my account would be credited within 14 days.

Well needless to say I think it's a big scam. I signed up for the free trial offer on 8/3/2008. In less than two hours I was deactivated. I replied 3 times on there support e-mail. I got no replie. After calling and being put on hold for 15 min I findley got agent #270. Well I got 14 days more on my free trial offer. So I had some of my freinds try the site. Every thing seem ok untill they click (Contact Us) on the web page. Guess what??. It showed error page. Also they say 29.95 for there service It,s 39.95. Also If you have any questions or concers, don't hesitate to call 1-800-931-3082 24 hours a days a week. Well needless to say that's not true eather. It's now 8/08/2008 8:47am I,am still on hold sent's 8:23am to cancle this garbage.

I just signed up an hour ago. Right afterwards, on the page that they tell you to print out because it contains important information, at the bottom of the page, instead of information for logging into my back office, there is an error log for a database error. When I tried to call the 24/7 customer support number, I got a recording saying they were closed, and gave me the days and times to call. After reading some of the reviews, I'm glad I used my prepaid debit card.

to stop the Dollar Store from taking your money, change your account # in your bank account or any account you are using, or, put a stop,or freeze on your account, then, when the Dollar store tries to take your money, nothing is there.

The dollar store is fair, but, to make any money, you must lower your prices to beat out the other 3,000,000 other people doing the same thing, so, in general, save your money and investgate first,or lose it.

My Dollar Store is a real scam. When you call to speak to a customer service rep. you are speaking to a person that you can not even understand. After 2 months with no hits on my website, I cancelled and had to scream to the that person to make her understand what I was trying to say. These people are only out to get peoples monies. Do not bite into this or anything else. Best of luck.

Ditto all the above! After I finally got someone on the phone they said I had to file a fraud report with the local law enforcement. while I had them on the phone I cancelled the account I DIDN'T have. Two days later my CC was billed again!

I called to have this service cancelled because I was not making money. Only being charged $39.95. Today (6/25/08) I was charged with another $39.95 fee from my checking account. I just spoke with customer service and they inform me, there is no record of the service being cancelled. I was told it would be cancelled now and the fee refunded to me. At this time, I have notified Better Business. This is a SCAM.

I also got caught up in the scam. Because all the info wasn't published on the front page I was charged $39.95. I paid $1.97 for shipping for the quick start guide and they also stuck me with an international fee for $1.20. I only found out about the fee when I received my checking statement. I failed to read the fine print-terms and agreement. CONSUMERS BEWARE.

I TOLD SOMEONE ON THE PHONE I DIDN'T WANT THIS TWO WEEKS AGO AND THEY WENT AHEAD AND CHARGED MY CARD. UPON CALLING THIS MORNING THEY SAID WELL YOU DIDN'T CANCEL IN THE 14 DAYS PER THE AGREEMENTS AND NO REFUND WILL BE ISSUED. SOMETHING SHOULD BE LEGALLY DONE ABOUT THIS SCAM. THEY'RE MAKING ALL KINDS OF MONEY ON THE PEOPLE TAKING OUT 39.95MO UNTIL THEY SCREAM LOUD ENOUGH AND THEN NO CREDIT.

I had a feeling that MY Dollar Shop was not on the up and up after speaking with someone about setting-up the website. I did not know the $39.95 fee was a monthly one. I'll have to check my account. I also paid .99cents to Surplus Alert.com for a 14 day trial. The person I spoke with kept promising to sent me an email with the information I needed to set-up the site. Still waiting after three attemps. I'll have to speak with the bank about stopping this monthly payment if it is still being deducted from my account.

I signed up for the Free kit and another site so I could use a research site for free. I had not noticed the 14 day trial, my fiance had warned me about sites like this but I guess I was just to tired to notice the fine print. I thank you all for giving the heads up!!! I called and canceled today they asked if I wanted to extend the trial period for another 14 days and yet I just ordered the kit yesterday. Has anyone had any problem with them charging the $39.95 even though they canceled during the 14 day trial?

Well, I always try to research before exploring these type sites, however, this time I did not. I was charged the $1.97 fee on my credit card within moments of signing up. I avoided additional charges by immediately canceling my credit card before they could begin the ritual of $39.95 monthly charges and not delivering the promised products, or websites, after visiting this great little info site about this scamming company. I also alerted the credit card company to be aware of the company as a scam.

I to have just filled out their form. but after reading this , i will bail out today and will put a stop on their $.99 today . All of you go to your bank and change your intire account, get a new card and let your bank know why you are doing this. They will help you and will stop funding them. As for getting your money back, well;that may be a lost to you . do not let them know that you are going to make the change, untill you have done it.

Well I see we have a lot of unhappy Campers with My Dollar Shop. I'm also uhappy with this one because it seem like a great idea to get somthing for just a dollar. But in the end unless you do some serious Marketing research or are already a internet marketing expert you will just be throwing your $39.35 down a deep well for a long time before you will see any profit in my opinion.

Yet, after second thought I decided to read the details of the Term and found that the company is in the St. Kitt of the Caribbean.
Now, I know there must be some legal issue there & I go in the internet to look at their web site & got comments from all those had been fooled!

Hello there, my name is Rita. I have signed up for My Dollar Shop recently, and needless to say, I'm not getting anywhere with this. I think these people behind My Dollar Shop (whoever they may be)just want to get to other people's credit cards and take what they can get for themselves. I believe now that NO ONE makes money from this bullshit! Then when you try to "log in" to check up on your account in the "back office" or whatever they call your personal account, sometimes you have trouble getting into it; you can't check the traffic that comes onto your website, how much money you've made or NOTHING!!! My Dollar Shop is all SMOKE AND MIRRORS! It is a scam, just like Type-At-Home or DataEntryComapny.com too!

my dollar shop.com is a scam...
I fell for this scam ,I bought a store two years ago and it has took me two years to get my commission up to $37.00. when it hit $37.00 every one who visited my store was blocked out, even me. I was up to 3000 hits a month and never made a sale except when i complained, why am i not making any sales out of 3000 hits? Then and only then would they give me credit for a couple of sales, then it would only be .50 cents or maybe a dollar commission. I listed my own items in the store owner specials of that store and I never made the first sale of my items. Even if i gave away something free just for visiting my store. I was never allowed to view the names or emails of the ones who visited my store. So after two years of hard work and constant calling.I have lost a lot of money. I hope no one else falls for this scam.

How To cancel, I just wanted to say, I just signed up for this mydollarshop.com and read EVERYTHING. But, I canceled out once just yesterday, because of not enough products to start with. I called back and wanted to give it a chance, they extended my 14 days of trial, then when I called back to talk with the help desk, questioning about getting more products, they offered to extend my trial period another 14 days. I didn't know there were any problems until I read these last night. So, I didn't want to take any chances,I canceled, but Thank God, I haven't had any problems with them taking any money off my card except I was accidentally charged 1.88 for something I said no to to a live offer from another source, I told them to send me a confirmation that I canceled last night, they did twice, once, the first time, then last night. Next thing I know my checking account is over drawn and my husband and I are arguing about the checking account. I had no idea that they had charged my account. Also, you should be able to try for 14 days before they take out of your account. All I want to do is work from home, make extra money not spend it trying to make it.
