Quip.com is the online home of Quip, a company that describes themselves as the place to “create, document, discuss, and organize the stuff that your team works on” for maximum workplace efficiency.
How Does It Work?
According to their website, most people who work in busy offices understand that it can actually be extremely difficult to get work done quickly and efficiently in an office environment. Employees are “drowning in email, interrupted by meetings, and getting nothing done.”
The goal of Quip.com is to give employees a single place where they can collaborate on projects together, including discussions, changes on documents, spreadsheets, or checklists, and the ability to work both on and offline.
Quip also keeps a history of all the changes that are made to a project, as well as all comments and discussions regarding the project, so all team members know who made changes and refer back to earlier versions if they need to.
Finally, the website says that their product works perfectly on both mobile and tablet devices, and provides mobile notifications, so that you can work on a project while you are traveling or are on the go.
Currently this company offers four different packages that customers can enroll in. The first is their Basic Package, which is actually free to use and ofers unlimited documents and folders, 30 day revision history, 1,000 message archive, and limited group sharing.
Their first paid package is their Team Package, which is priced at $10 per month for a 1-10 person team or $40 per month for an 11-20 person team, and offers the same feature as the Basic Package as well as unlimited document revision history, unlimited message archive, unlimited group sharing, and up to 10 guests. They also offer their Business Package, which is $12 per user per month and offers all the features of the Team Package, as well as unlimited guests and a long list of admin features.
Finally, they also offer an Enterprise Package which is priced at $25 per user per month and offers all the features of the Business Package, plus auditing and compliance features, Quip API access and customization, and more.
This website does not provide any information about a Refund Policy, likely because they do not offer one. They provide all of their customers with a free trial of their services before they sign up for their paid subscription, and once they do sign up they are not locked into a long term contract. Instead, they pay for their membership on a month-to-month basis and are allowed to quit whenever they choose.

Unfortunately, there simply aren’t that many reviews available of this product at this time, either from consumers or from technology or business publications. The few which are available appear to be very positive in nature about the capabilities of this product, saying that it is somewhat limited in scope and features, but still an excellent tool for collaborating on projects with co-workers or even just working with word processing while on the go.
Competitors and Alternatives?
This is starting to be a much more in demand type of product, and while some precursors to Quip.com include Evernote, Trello.com, Lucidchart, and some others, there will certainly be many more to come.
