You know these scam artist should not be aloud to do this to us!!!!!! I am a single mother of a 6 year old little girl and i know a $1.95 isn,t alot of money, but the women I spoke to on the phone
( AMANDA BROWN # 6439 ) didn't even tell me about the other fees. She just told me about the free trip you get for signing up.... Then when it was time to check me order over the phone I heard what the fees were gonna be... I was stupid and still gave them my info... Then I tried to log into the website and this is what I find..... Thanks for the info.... I am canceling right now!!!!! |

I'm a former employee of shoppper services. It is a SCAM...Don't try it. It is TOTAL BS. Someone need to close this place down!! They train thier employees to SCAM. Most of the Reps on the phones are Drug Addicts and Ex Convicts.(At least 90% are) I beleive this company was created to hire ex convicts who can't find real jobs. I believe it was created by an Ex-Con. |

Well just like everyone else I should have known better its not worth it. Some other company hired me and only pays 10 bucks a shop and I am suppose to be paying "shopperservices.com" 15 bucks a month. Now I am worried about my information being shared and I all I was trying to do is make a little extra money. I think as soon as you feel it in your gut it might be a bad idea follow it. |

UGh! This is one disgusting SCAM! STAY AWAY!! Logged on to the website provided and got onto this site, and freaked out that I,like so many others, got scammed. After reading about the appalling experiences of so many, I immediately called the "customer services" number, and was never able to get through... There's No way to cancel if you can't even contact them! Called my CC company and am having a new card issued (takes 5 business days)and a fraud alert put on my account. For all of you out there,it's probably the only way to prevent future unauthorized charges to your account. The $1.95 is no big deal, but I'm greatly concerned about future fraudulent activity by these con artists. |

HELP! I’ve been scammed by shopperservices.com. I am new to mystery shopping. Shoppersevervices was the first company I signed up with, and they railroaded me. Over the phone they told me they needed my email address, phone number and physical address. I thought this would be for business reasons; to contact me for assignments. I immediately began getting SPAM, telemarketers, and junk mail. They also needed my credit card information for postage and handling of $9.95 to send me training material. I also had to pay two more fees of $9.95 for some kind of shopping and traveling discount programs. I had about 12 days if I wanted to cancel. I was told the material would be here in 5 days. It arrived in 10. The training material was nothing but a few pages of a disclosure filled with legalese. Snuggled in this mess in very small print were two more fees of about $30.00 each. There are twelve days in the trial period and it took 10 day for me to get the material. Now there are 2 days left. I called shopperservices, and they said the fees were a monthly membership fee AND access fee for there website. I cancelled because I have learned that you should not pay anything to be a secret shopper. I also had to call the other two companies to cancel. The girl on the phone told me that I was no longer active. My membership was canceled. This month, another charge for $9.95 showed up on my credit card. I called shopperservices and a man told me I was not canceled and he would not reverse the charges, (my bank has). In fact he got real ugly. Has anyone else dealt with these people? How do I get them off my back?! New shoppers need to be warned of |

I fell for the ad in the RJ, and called to apply. I spoke with a rep, giving her the info requested, then got all the other add-ons brought up. I declined them, stating I just wanted to apply for the Mystery Shopper.
I was told to log on and fill in the form on line.
When I logged on I came upon this site, and read thru it, realizing I had really blew it!
I have called to cancel, without completing their "test", and was given a confirmation number for the cancellation, and told my $1.95 would be creditied within 5-7 working days.
Don't fall for it! |

I called Shopper Services the same as everyone else. When I mention contacting the BBB after they gave me their shpeel, they told me that I didn't have to decide today if I wanted to join. They claimed they were listed, I found no listing for them. There was no way I would give out a cc# without checking with the BBB. |

As the wife of a police officer you would think I would have known better. I saw the ad in the local paper. My oldest daughter had been a "secret shopper" in NC. I thought this was the same type of thing. After I had given all of my information, including my cc, to operator #4115, Lonisha Freeman, as well as being put in to "Surplus Supplier.com, American Leisure and Easy Saver", costing $7.84 all together, did I began to wonder if this right. After I got off the phone I called my daughter to ask her about it. She advised that she never had to pay for anything. She sent me a list of the companies she dealt with. When I got on line to look up this company I came across this site first. After reading all of the comments I knew that I had been had. I called the phone number, 866-297-1823, to cancel. I spoke with Joseph and was given a cancellation #; the phone # for "Surplus Supplier", 877-414-5117; "Easy Saver", 877-844-9554; and "American Leisure", 877-564-8538. I was able to reach a Debra at "Surplus Supplier" and get a cancellation #. The other two I spoke with Heather, who informed me that I would have to wait until next Wednesday to cancel. I called my cc and told them what had happened. Due to the fact I had canceled with in a few hours and had cancellation #'s, the cc company would dispute the charges.
I've included the phone #'s in case someone may need them.
Thank you for all of the good information. |

I too, fell for the sales pitch and decided I couldn't go too far wrong with an investment of 5.85, so agreed to the program.
I tried 4 or 5 times to log on for the training and
after doing as instructed (and reviewing their instructions)never did get anything except there was record for me. I just checked THIS web site and am now telling them I want to cancel. I was on hold for over 20 minutes before speaking to anyone and was given a little hard time when I simply said I wanted to cancel. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one to fall for their deal, but am among a group of people who did the same dumb thing!! I was told that only one 1.95 would be credited to my card and that they have the recording of me agreeing to 2 additional charges of 1.95 each and that I understood they are not refundable. I certainly didn't understand it that way. So be it - I've learned a valuable lesson and guess I won't go broke if in fact I will be responsible for the 2 charges of 1.95. I also called the credit card company. The charges haven't shown up yet, but when they appear on my bill I can ask them to help get the charges credited. I may not be successful, but I'm going to fight for my 3.90!! |

Hello Everyone. After reading all the comments about shopper services I believe that just today I made a very BIG and STUPID mistake. I did give all the requested info and now after researching this company I am stuck for words. Does anyone have one good thing to say about the mystery shopper business. I need to know. I will call on Sat. Feb.23,08 to cancell this whole thing. Will let you know how it goes. I was able to sign on and take the exams and passed with good % rate. I even called the customer service number 1-888-727=0593 and the woman who answered my call sounded very professional and answered my questions. Help me I need to know what to do!!!!!! Dis anyone call the BBB and see if this is a true and good company? |

I too fell for this scam. In the middle of shoppers conversation I relized something was not right. I decided not to join and asked that my credit card not be charged. I was told that I would not be charged any fees. I checked my account the next day and I was charged $1.95. I've called my credit card company and have cancelled my card. Please tell your newspaper editor about this scam. Hopefully we can stop this scam. |

i was a former employee at shopper services or aka the veracity group just for anyone who may be able to read this and shut this place down to know their real company name it is a big scam no one can get any jobs from their company listings and just like they rip the customers off they rip their employees off if they decide they dont want to lie to people any more and quit also their website is really screwed up when ppl are doing the training assignments and get something that says "query failed" they make us lie to them and say its a browser error with windows just remove the punctation and say that we are working on it they have supposably been working on it for like 3 years i would just advise that no one ever sign up for this s*** and no one ever go work for them b/c they WILL rip you off of your check and give you some b.s. reason why your check isnt as much as it was before you stopped working for their lieing a**es there full of s*** and another thing the ppl you talk to on the phones most of them are drug-atics and convicts they dont know s*** about mystery shopping all they know about is taking the customer's money and the ppl that decide they dont want to work for them..... |

It's so sad to know that people are out there like this. I fell hook line and sinker thinking this was a great way to generate extra income and all I got was misery. My account was charged 1.95 not once but 3 times. I canceled on today thanks to the above comment that gave the correct phone number since the number I was given in the beginning for cancellation was always busy. Thanks Kathy from Cleveland for the info. |

I was online with Rodwyn Baker, and he became so ugly and pushy that I became concerned and told him I had changed my mind. I hung up, and he called me back, and got even pushier. I told him that when I hung up this time, not to call me back. That my husband, upon hearing the conversation (he was shouting so loud on the phone that my husband could hear him from 8 feet away) told me to hand up, and definately not do it. |

After signing up with shopperservices.com for the $1.95 fee to take the course and providing my credit card info, I received several automated telephone calls requesting my SS# and other confidential credit card verification information that my credit card company already has including the card number itself.
This truly sounds like the multi level scam of all scams. BEWARE! |

While looking thru our local Penny Saver .. Found this great job.. Shop and get paid. Sounded great! Boy was I scammed. My sales guy Blake was quite the Sales man! He was a fast talker and had all the answers. He even sounded like a Robot. Trained well to Scam. Unfortunately I fell for it! I gave my credit card and my husband completely went crazy. Found this message board and confirmed it was a Scam. I just got off the phone with my credit card company and cancelled. They are sending me another card and I will still have to pay my 1.95.. Guess I didn't lose to much. Be ware of this Scam! Don't fall for it! |

when something sounds too good it probably is. That was my thought while I was answering the rapid-fire questions. I immediately felt that there was something questionable when she wanted to sign me up with no interview, no concern about my experience etc. Fortunately, I did not give out any cc info, but rather checked the web-site and found this very informative site, thank-you for saving me a great deal of hassel! |

I know better. The girl on the phone rushed me and spoke very fast. I consistently asked her to clarify what she was trying to sign me up for. I flatly said "NO" each time. She was very evasive and appeared deceitful. I should have NEVER given her my cc information. I took the online test and was angry when it said I had to do (2) onsite tests and a resume. I immediately called the cancellation # and CANCLED services. I got a confirmation # and was told I would be billed $1.95 because I didn't complete the online course. I disputed the charge but the supervisor refused to reverse it. I told them they better not charge my cc any other charges OR I will come after them. We will see. I might have to cancle my cc card and have the bank issue a new card. DON'T DO IT!! It's NOT worth the hassle and scare of what they might charge onto your credit card. |

THEY ALMOST HAD ME. I GAVE MY ADDRESS,PHONE#, EMAIL ADDRESS, EXP.DATE ON MY CREDIT CARD, THEN SUDDENLY I STOPPED AT GIVING THEM MY CREDIT CARD#. I STARTED TO ASK THIS REPRESENTATIVE, KIMBERLY JORDAN, SOME QUESTIONS. I ASKED ABOUT THE 1.95 OF COURSE, THEN I ASKED HOW MUCH WILL BE BILLED TO MY CC AND SHE STARTED TO STUMBLE ALL OVER HER WORDS AND TOLD ME IT WOULD BE 14.95. I STATED THAT I WOULD HAVE TO THINK ABOUT IT AND SHE AGAIN WAS AT A LOSS FOR WORDS. SHE THEN STATED I WOULD GET THAT PMT BACK ALSO. I TOLD HER 2 TIMES I WILL THINK ABOUT IT AND CALL HER BACK. SOMETHING VERY VERY WRONG HERE. I CHECKED THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AND NO BUSINESS BY THIS NAME CAME UP. WATCH OUT FOLKS |

I saw an ad in the Houston Chronicle this morning and called Shopper Services. I signed for up only the $1.95 package. As soon as I got off the phone I checked my Visa account on line and they had already charged the $1.95 to my card. I talked with a Willie Littlefield, Operator# 4187, and when he started to try to sell me the other packages I said no. I told him several times that I was only calling for a job that I saw in the classified, not to buy anything. I was talking with my son this evening at dinner and he suggested I look to see if they are a member of BBB, when I came to this page, I feel like such a fool. I am a retired Office Manager for a small business and I should have known when he asked for my CC#, this was a scam! I will call the number given by Kathy from Cleveland 1st. thing in the morning. If that doesn't work I will contact my CC company. Wish me luck!! |

Well, I'm glad I had an uneasy feeling speaking with the rep of Shopper Services. The comments are all accurate as to how the rep tried moving me through the $1.95 registration fee and my credit card number. It was clear she was reading a scripted message but before agreeing to anything I got the name of the company and did some research...great site, THANKS!!!! |

I spoke with "Stephen Galvez", operator 42. He told me I would receive 2 hours of on-line training, and that I had to log onto that training site to get a refund of my $1.95. I rated the mystery shopper program (shopperservices.com)a 1... Thanks to this site and all of you....I was spared alot of bs! I could not login to shopperservices.com either, thats how I found this scam notice!!!! I too was fooled and joined for $1.95. I immediately called my credit card company and notified them of the scam, they re-issued a new credit card number to me so that these scum bags couldn't make any more false charges on my card. The phone number for customer service that shopperservices gives you is not correct!! The correct number to call these people and cancel your membership is 1-800-462-4402. This number was given to me by my credit card company. CALL NOW AND CANCEL YOUR MEMBERSHIP BEFORE THEY CHARGE YOU FOR ANYTHING ELSE. Thanks again, to all of you who wrote in and convinced me of the scam! You saved me a lot of grief!!! |

Shopperservices posted a classified add in the Flint Journal. When you call they want your credit card number to sign you up for $1.95. I did not join, because I do not give my credit card number out. Also, I know that there are free mystery shopping sites available. I think this is a cheap scam that they use. |

I just called to inquire first. Thank God. The first clue that there was something wrong was the way the guy on the phone was quickly moving me along trying to get my address fast also one of the first questions out of his mouth was do you have a credit card? Wouldn't you think any reputable company operating in todays world wouldn't even expect you to give out such information in the first minute of the conversation. This guy was a fast talker.

ShopperServices.com are SCAM ARTISTS & THIEVES!
I can't believe these people at Shopper Services can get away with what they do! It shouldn't be legal. There should be lawsuits filed against them for running what really is an illegal business. This is unacceptable and they should be put out of business. They do nothing but STEAL MONEY! It blows my mind that they think they can steal money and get away with it. They really screwed me over. I've already lost hundreds of dollars because of them and the b.s. things they've signed me onto, and FOR WHAT??? Ridiculous charges for membership fees, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH...!!! They never had my permission to charge my credit card for this UNNECESSARY nonsense! I've had nothing but problems at their website. I tried to find their "training program" using my user name and password, but where the hell is it??? It's far too confusing and frustrating. They signed me up for my own "web store" but setting it up makes no sense to me whatsoever!!! I signed onto this program to make money, not give all my money away! Everything to do with these people is a waste of time and energy. I'm so angry and frustrated with these damn people. I'm going to cancel my membership and cancel my credit card today. I probably won't get any money back, but I'll do what I can. Anyone who reads this.....stay away from these con artists and thieves!!! Don't be gullible like me. |

I was so iffy about this whole idea. Literally the minute after i joined shopper services on the phone( there was an ad in the paper) I went home on the computer and looked some stuff up. I am Young And Ignorant and that is EXACTLY what these scheming people want. I canceled the next day because their Business hours are something between 9-5 or w/e. ITS 3 WEEKS LATER AND I AM GETTING BILLED 1.95 FROM THE 2 other websites they automatically signed me up for.???? WTF I had to stay on the phone for 2 different numbers after i canceled with shopperservices.com for over an HOUR. about 3 hours out of my day gone because of the scumbags. After me canceling all 3 things. (shopperservices, easy saver, and surplus supplier) this is my New CC statement , I am still getting billed in My Credit card account. I know it's like $4, but I AM NOT AUTHORIZING THEM TO TAKE MY MONEY. CHECK YOUR ACCOUNT ACTIVITY FREQUENTLY. Now im trying to figure out how to get them to stop billing me. |

To Carol...
The phone number for customer service is 1-866-297-1823. If you can't get thru or no one will help you call your credit card company and dispute the charges. Tell them you never received your product and they won't a**t you. Therefore you are not authorizing the transaction. It takes longer this way but it is most effective. |

How do I Cancel?...I am trying to find out how to cancel with shopper services and this American leisure bull c***. They have charged me and I have not received any of these so called "gift cards" I was supposed to get either. How do I cancel and can I get refunded these $1.99 and $9.99 fees that were charged on my account? |

Watch Out for This! SCAM!!!...They told me I would receive my packet in 3-5 days, it took 3 weeks. Then, they were charging $10.00 the whole time I was waiting for my packet to arrive in the mail! When you call to sign up they pressure you to sign up for a bunch of "free" add on special exclusive offers too! Thank god I said no to all of those! When I called to cancel the woman on the phone was very rude and started telling me that it didn't matter that it took 3 weeks to receive my packet because they sent me an email. Well I never received an email and they never told me they were sending me an email! This is a total SCAM! It sounds all fun and pretty when you read it in the paper...Wow a fun easy job!...Yeah right, you know the saying..."If it sounds to god to be true,..." Just be careful and think twice if you are thinking about signing up! |

THIS IS A SCAM! BEWARE! BEWARE!...I received a check in the amount of $980.00 and was told to cash the check at my local bank, do a survey on Money grams and keep $120.00 for myself and send them back the $860.00. When I went to the bank to cash their check it was found to be fraudulent; therefore, if the bank had not notice that it was a fake and cashed it...they would have gotten 860.00 of MY MONEY!!! |

I just joined Shopper Services and now I think it was a mistake. I have lost my job and they told me that I could take on up to three assignments and could make $50 each. Is there really work in this field? I still have not received the pamphlet they told me I was to receive. I do not have money to waist. |

DO NOT TRY IT...Hey this sounds great and I even fell for it. I signed up with these guys because of a help wanted sign then Lori (some lady) told me for 1.99 that I could get a pamphlet in 3-5 days telling me who would let me shop and how to get enrolled. I didn't receive anything for 3 weeks . .....meanwhile 9.99 charge... |

Shopper Services is a scam! It took me 15 times to pass the test and I'm no dummy. They never answer the phone while I waited for 15 minutes each time I called. They never return emails also. When I finally passed the test. I did my two stores and secret shopped and filled everything out fully and they came back rejected 4 times each. I just cancelled and I hope they really cancel me so I won't get charged. Don't go near shopper services they are usually in the Penny Saver advertising. |

I would like to hear from others...,
Since joining Shopper Services I have had nothing but a hard time. Not getting responses except surveys for a menial amt of $. Or from some one who wants me to go to a hardware store and spend a $12. coupon or something to that effect...I would like to hear from others who are experiencing a problem with ShopperServices.com. |

ShopperServices.com Total Scam...,I feel lied to, before I joined they promised that the average pay per job was $50. But when i logged in they only had a total of ten jobs available and not one paid more than 10 dollars. The only good thing was that there's a money back guarantee so i was able to get my 60 dollars back although that wasn't a walk in the park either. |
