About Silvon Pillowcase
The Silvon Pillowcase, found online at SilvonSleep.com, is a new home and wellness product which says that their bedding “permanently prevents the growth of unwanted bacteria.”
How Does It Work?
According to their Indiegogo campaign page, with just one night of use, your pillowcase and sheets can “accumulate a horrifying array of bacteria, allergens, and fungus.” Their website says that dermatologists recommend washing your pillowcase every two or three days to avoid overexposure to these contaminants.
But the reality is that most people don’t wash their sheets nearly this often. In fact, they quote a study which says the average woman only washes her sheets once or twice a month, while the average man only washes his sheets four times a year. This means that people in the US are being constantly exposed to bacteria and allergens.
The Silvon Pillowcase and Bed Sheets have decided to combat this by creating what is essentially a type of anti-bacterial sheets. They have fused their fibers with antimicrobial silver which prevents the growth of bacteria on the fabric surface.
These silver fibers have been paired with Supima cotton which they say is “among the softest, most durable cotton in the world” and ensures that their sheets are very soft despite the use of silver. They also promise that their sheets are completely eco-friendly and that no chemical treatments have been used on their products.
This product is still currently involved in their Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign so customers will currently be able to purchase their pillowcase for $35 with free shipping on all orders being shipped within the United States. The website indicates that the full retail price of this product will be $45 once it is being sold on the open market, and Indiegogo says that their first products will be shipped in December of 2016.
Unfortunately because this product is still in the crowdfunding campaign stage there is no published policies regarding refunds or cancellations of orders. Customers will need to contact their Customer Service team to see what kinds of policies may be in place both before and after this product ships.
Customer Service Contact Info
Customers who would like to contact Customer Service with any questions, concerns, or complaints can do so by using the social media platform links that their Indiegogo page supplies.
Because this product is not yet available on the open market there are no customer reviews that prospective customers can use to determine whether they should purchase this product. However their website does point to research and studies conducted at Pennsylvania State University and Cornell University which they say have put forth the highest antimicrobial standards that their sheets are made in accordance with.
