About TeenSafe.com

TeenSafe.com is the online home of TeenSafe, a mobile phone and online web monitoring tool that describes itself as "the most sophisticated" tool of its kind currently available to parents.

How Does It Work?

This service promises to help parents to view text messages, monitor their location, review web browsing and search history, monitor their contacts and call logs, and much more.

In addition to helping parents monitor their cell phone usage, TeenSafe.com also says that they offer parents the ability to monitor Facebook usage and now they've also added Instagram usage as well.

The website says their software will not be visible on the phones and that your teen will not be alerted to the monitoring unless you personally choose to discuss it with them.

Cost/Price Plans

TeenSafe.com offers a one week free trial of their services, at the end of which you will begin being charged $14.95 per month for their services, for as long as you choose to use them. There are no long term contracts and service can be canceled at any time.

Mobile Options

Currently this company can only monitor the activity of iPhones and Android phones, not Windows phones or Blackberries.

Refund Policy

Because this company offers users a one week free trial of their services, as well as no opportunity to purchase long term contracts up front, their Terms and Conditions clearly states that no fees are refundable at any time.

Customer Service Contact Info

Customers who would like to contact their Customer Service team with any questions, concerns, or complaints can do so by phone at (800) 245-8598, or by submitting them directly to their website.

Reputation

In general this program seems to have positive reviews from their users. Though some users have complained about the work needed to set up the program to monitor all activity as promised, other customers say that their service team is incredibly helpful and will walk you through the whole process.

Competitors and Alternatives?

Watching the cell phone usage and interaction of children and teens is likely to be a growing business, with other competitors like mSpy already available.

Useless, doesn't work as advertised, customer service stinks

Reviewed By melinda on February 14, 2017

If I could rate this zero, that would be appropriate. Don't fall into the trap of trying this garbage app.

Don't waste your time getting tangled up with this useless software. It promises to track website activity, but doesn't. Their representative said it doesn't work for current system software on an Android. What the heck? When I told them to cancel my account, the rep said I could not get a refund because "I had seen data." RIGHT. Guess what TeenSafe? I'm going to broadcast this review as many times as I can.

It Doesn't Work

Reviewed By Bob K on December 5, 2016

We tried the free trial but it is extremely limited so we opted to pay the full price for the app the second day.

Then we found out it won't block any apps our daughter downloaded or show us her web history because her phone has an updated version of Android. They were unwilling to refund our payment even though we did not get the services they advertise for their app.

If you have an ancient phone, this app might work for you, but if you are using a relatively new device, look elsewhere.

The Teensafe app is offered at a pretty decent price of $14.95 per month and you can monitor as many phones as you need.

Pause the phone and save lives

Reviewed By tiffany b on October 5, 2016

Teensafe is now offering a Manage app which you can download to your child's phone and pause the device whenever you want. I have a 17 year old daughter who loves her phone and is always texting with her friends even when she drives. We have told her in several ocassions that she can cuase an accident and injure or kill herself or someone else! I love the fact that by pausing her phone while she drives, I can make sure she will be safe on the road and keep others safe as well.

Take the bulls by the horn

Reviewed By Leopold Harris on March 14, 2016

Getting to know who your children hang out with can be hard if you are a working parent and barely have time. Ever since I signed up for Teensafe I have the ability to know who they surround themselves with and what they are up to. Not sure if everyone agrees with this monitoring method, but it works for me. I can attest that while being at work I feel more at peace.

STAY AWAY!!

Reviewed By Trish Tallent on February 2, 2016

Teen safe does not deliver what they advertise!!! With this service you cannot see deleted texts and not even most of regular texts. When I called to see if there was something I was doing wrong they were very rude and said that they don't advertise that you can see "ALL" texts. This company is very misleading!!! Do not use this service!!

Whatch out for Predators

Reviewed By Corey Bloom on January 21, 2016

Unfortunately in this world today, sexual predators have tools like the internet which makes it easier to get to our children. I signed up for Teensafe not only to make sure my kids don't get into trouble but also to protect them from malicious people who only want to harm others. Apps like Teensafe helps us monitor this kind of stuff.

Monitoring at its Best!

Reviewed By Christina Wong on January 11, 2016

Let's be honest....you are their parent, not their friend. I always dreamed about having this awesome conversations with my children about what they do, who they hang out with and what they all think. Reality is that when they become teenagers there are certain things your child won't tell you. As much as I would love to have that open conversation with my child, I also need to be smart and move fast in order to know what is going on in their life. This is why I love Teensafe! It allows me to keep track of sent, received and deleted text messages, whatsapp, instagram and kik apps. This is the closest I will get to know what is going on and a I really appreciative of this app for that.

Raising Children in this Technological World

Reviewed By Nelson Eburne on December 5, 2015

My wife and I have teenage children and always worry about the world we live in today. They are exposed to a lot of information and share (sometimes too much for my taste), their personal stuff with other kids. I need to keep a close eye on their every move to make sure they are safe and behave responsibly.

While searching online I found the Teensafe App and signed up for the free trial. I talked about it with my children and explained how this would benefit them and us as a family.

The only thing I had a little concern with at the beginning was that the app did not show information on real time, but came to learn that in order to view new data, Apple needed to complete an iCloud backup which is fine. Everything else has worked fine.

Peace of Mind

Reviewed By Rosie on October 27, 2015

I truly want to say that my experience with Teensafe is great and I wish other parents give it a try. Both my daughter and I have talked about being open with each other, but kids won't tell you everything. This is why I decided to use Teensafe. I am able to monitor her conversations from my computer and it was easy to install. I did have an issue when trying to install on my iPhone 5 and contacted them to which I received a response in less than 48 hours and the issue was solved.

Not helpful

Reviewed By Erica Stanley on May 1, 2015

I was able to access the text messages of my son's iphone 4s but it can not access snapchat, so it wasn't helpful. Kids know that snapchat can not be tracked so that's why they use it.

Don't bother

Reviewed By Shirley Fraser on April 18, 2015

I have tried to set this up on a Samsung S4/ LG / Sony Xperia and and IPhone.

None of the Android's get the text message you need to activate it. And the IPhone Apple ID is apparently not detectable.

If it can't work on any of the 4 phones, I don't know what phone parents are meant to use. And there Website shows no "Problem Solving" for this issue.

Waste of time. Have spent over 3hrs trying to work this out.

Worthless

Reviewed By Kevin Morris on March 4, 2015, Cedar Springs, Michigan

This service is not worth the money. I cancelled after 1 hour of the free trial. Why? Because although it states it is discreet it is not. 1.
1. Apple will send an email to the device informing the user of the activity.
2. In order to monitor the FB, Instragram, and other activity you need to have the LOGIN and PASSWORD! Well, if I had that information I wouldn't need this service would I?
3. In order to monitor messages, texts, contacts, etc on the phone you need to have the icloud feature turned on within the device. It's defaulted to not being on which means you need to access the device. Again, if I could do this I wouldn't need this service!

Pointless...
