About TV Frog Box

The TV Frog Box, found online at FreeSeeTV.com, describes themselves as a revolutionary Android hub that turns your TV smart and allows you to stream video and photo content.

How Does It Work?

According to their website, TV Frog Box wants to bring people the latest technology in the most affordable way. Their website says that this media hub gives customers the opportunity to transform their existing entertainment system into a “state-of-the-art modern smart entertainment system.”

To do this, TV Frog comes pre-loaded with Android apps for all viewing and multimedia needs for television and movies, like KODI, Netflix, Hulu, and YouTube, all in 4K HD Ultra.

In addition, their website says that they understand people can easily be stressed out and exhausted by complicated entertainment set-ups, so they have designed their system to simply be plugged in and have an easy step-by-step set up process that is quickly completed.

Cost/Price Plans

Currently customers will be able to buy a single TV Frog Box for $79.89, which includes one 4K Ultra HD Home Theater Box, one Wireless Mouse, one HDMI Cable, and one AC/DC Adaptor Power Cable.

Refund Policy

This company has a seriously problematic approach to a Refund Policy. Their website states that all purchases come with a “100% Satisfaction Guarantee” which states that customers who are unhappy with their purchase are welcome to return it for a refund.

But their Terms and Conditions are very clear that this simply isn’t true. They state that all products purchased on their website are “as is” and all sales are final. They go so far as to say that customers “assume the responsibility for your purchase and no refunds will be issued.”

They do offer their customers an Exchange Policy which lasts for 30 days from your original date of purchase. In order to be eligible for a return, your item must be unused, in the same condition that you received it, and in its original packaging.

Customer Service Contact Info

Customers who would like to contact Customer Service with any questions, concerns, or complaints can do so by phone at 888-836-8088 or by email at Support@FreeSeeTV.com.

Reputation

Unfortunately this product appears to be so new that there simply are not any customer reviews at this time, nor are there any professional reviews that have been conducted by technology websites or blogs at this time.

The reality is that there are many other products which have been reviewed extensively, are priced similarly to the TV Frog Box, and offer their customers beneficial Refund and Return Policies. Taking a risk on an unproven product that does not offer their customers refunds or returns under any circumstances is not the right choice for many consumers.

Competitors and Alternatives?

As mentioned above, there are many different options for accessing the internet and streaming services through your television, including Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, and many others.

VERY DISAPPOINTED

Reviewed By Jorge on June 10, 2017

After waiting for more than 1.1/2 month to receive the item, because it comes from China, via Switzerland, I finally installed yesterday..

It has nothing new than you cannot find in an android smartphone and less.

It is cheap and flimsy and it is not worth the $79.95 that I paid for it.

One piece of advice: DO NOT BUY IT.

You can buy a similar box from Telus and return it if you want.

Reviewed By Roz Rawlins on June 7, 2017

Most newer TVs have streaming built in; you don't need an extra box. If you have an older TV buy the box from Telus where the customer satisfaction guarantee is honoured.

tv frog is a quad core 8G rom, 512MB ram kodi player, feels like a budget device

Reviewed By xuno on June 7, 2017

I was recently asked to set up one of these boxes for a friend that stated they thought they saw the device on television (?), and were having problems with set up. I think they eventually ordered it from Amazon. The device has it's own default simple menu with time and date, upon which it has the option of Kodi, a file explorer, and it's own channel app. I was able to set the time and date correctly within Kodi rather than the default menu. It's own selection of tv channel apps (not in kodi) seem to cater for many different languages, and the quality of video differs greatly.

The frog has a composite connection (red, yellow, white), two usb ports, LAN, hdmi, and its power at the back, as you can see https://s24.postimg.org/5q3hl6205/frog.jpg
I assume you can connect a usb sd card or perhaps even an external hard drive or computer to play back your own music, videos etc from the box on your tv. I don't know how good it is for media playback of your own files or stability.

My experience - my relative bought one from amazon and the wireless remote as shown in the instruction manual, was missing from the box. Upon noting the company, they sent a mouse instead. The mouse did not work well at all and kept freezing, so I bought one from a local store instead. It then worked well. It is relatively fine to use with a wireless mouse, although it may also work with a usb keyboard in one of the other connections (untested). The device as well as it's main Kodi option, have to be updated before use.

Main issue - from my limited experience, on certain channels within Kodi it seems to revert back to the Kodi main menu upon video playing or selection (eg bbc player), but on others (youtube) it seems to be ok. This was annoying, but I wasn't sure if Kodi required further updates or if it was the fault of the channel or the hardware. I didn't notice anything go out of sync, but I didn't have long to test it. Youtube needs to allow restricted content in order to watch live animal videos, which is odd but that's a google issue. Setting up the weather within Kodi didn't seem to work, but Kodi on my laptop seems to be having trouble too with finding location too, so I can perhaps ignore that.

It feels like a budget kodi device, so I wouldn't want to pay over the £30 / $30 / 30 euro mark on the basis that you'll probably need to buy a better wireless remote to actually use it. If I was just wanting to rent movies and use youtube I would probably buy a Roku stick or better Kodi box device for a little extra (google best kodi boxes 2017).
Personally - i'd just install kodi on that and connect the tv to it via hdmi cable, but I'm lucky the tv isn't that far away (although there's a kodi app on the play store so you can use your phone as a remote control)
