Awesome Penny Stocks Reviews – Legit or Scam?

Awesome Penny Stocks

AwesomePennyStocks.com is a website that offers a free subscription to an investment newsletter that targets the buying and selling of penny stocks.  In exchange for simply supplying your email address, you will get a newsletter with stock recommendations that allegedly rise in cost on a regular basis, allowing you to earn payouts on your investment.

Penny stocks is a term used the market to reference stocks that trade for under $5.00.  Awesome Penny Stocks generally seems to limit the stocks they investigate and promote to being those that actually trade at less than $1.00.

While it may seem hard to believe (or not so hard to believe, given the current financial situation in the US) that there are legitimate stocks being traded at less than $1.00 a share, it is true.  Penny stocks are also called “micro cap equity” and have been around for a long time.

So is Awesome Penny Stocks a Scam?

It’s hard to say definitively whether Awesome Penny Stocks is a scam, but it is definitely dangerous.  First of all, penny stocks are notoriously easy prey for price manipulation.  This means that a company like Awesome Penny Stocks can purchase a large amount of potentially worthless stock, recommend it to their subscribers, who purchase the stock causing the price to rise, and then the company sells their stock, causing the the stock price to drop again.

This is a well established problem with companies that recommend penny stocks, even long before the Internet became the go-to investment guide.

Another serious problem with Awesome Penny Stocks is that they admit in their Disclaimer that they accept money from third party companies, and therefore admit to being biased when reviewing these companies.  This means that Awesome Penny Stocks could be taking money from companies for the purpose of recommending their stock to their subscribers in order to bring up the price of their particular stock.

And if those problems aren’t warning enough, Awesome Penny Stocks also freely admits in their Disclaimer that no one who works for them actually has any sort of training or certification as far as investment advising is concerned.  So really, if you were interested in penny stocks, you would be much better off researching and choosing them on your own, than taking a chance with a company that admits to taking money from companies who might wish to promote their own stock.

Received the GWBU alert this morning from Penny Stocks Expert at around $1.30.
I decided to wait for the APS alert. Came in at around noon, stock was already at $1.45.
Bought 7000 shares at $1.475. It closed at $1.54.
    Let’s see what happens tomorrow.

So, officially GWBU is APS New Pick , starting alert price by via Email @ 1.28 this morning . By the looks at GWBU’s chart, it looks as if it had been alerted over a week ago . Too expensive to get in now IMO .

I totally agree, if you check the pattern of APS, by the time you get the email for their “recommendations” or “Monster Picks” look at the stock charts for that particular stock over a 5d or 3m period and you will notice that the price would have already spiked, by the time you buy in. Leaving you with the shaft when they sell their stock in mass quantity causing the price to plummet after you bought in at the high rate. Yes, if you are in the know and were able to get this stock GWBU about a week ago, you would make a very good profit. Unfortunately this is not the case. Yes I’m sure there are some who do come away with some legit profit off of these recommendations. But I found out the hard way with SNPK where they predicted this stock would hit $9.00…..YEAH RIGHT!! My advice is to check the stock history charts and watch it a day or two before buying.

I’m wondering if theyre trying to screw with us or experiment with what will draw a bigger buzz to their picks ie not releasing an email and mysteriously posting gwbu as their HOT pick? This will be my first time buying into an aps stock as it sits now gwbu closed at 1.09. What do u guys think..should I buy into it early tomorrow/mid afternoon or would it be too late since its jumped somewhere around 40 cents in 5 days. Funny I religiously checked aps website the past week and don’t remember seeing the gwbu banner. anyhoo…good luck and good trading.

I just received APS initial alert about 15 minutes ago.
Penny Stocks Expert sent an alert at 9:58am about GWBU also.
At that time it was trading at just over $1.30, now it’s over $1.50.

Once APS issues it’s official alert, the stocks usually skyrocket.
I bought some shares, I expect that this afternoon there will be a large increase in price :)

Their whole plan is to KEEP you confused,so they can screw more people. The whole deal with RARS and AWRS was just new ways to do it,there will be more. They have to keep changing the “rules” of the game to stick it to you.But we all know if you play this game, whatever happens is actually your [our!] fault.

    Anna says:
    May 13th, 2012 at 1:30 am

I guess the best case scenario would be to invest $1000
Let it go up 5x to $5000.
Next pick, invest the $5000, let it go up 5x to $25000
Next pick, invest $25000, let it go up to $125000
The pick after that, invest $125000
    Double it to $250000
Next pick double it to $500000
Next pick double it to $1Million

This could take just over 1 year or just under 1 year, depending on how often they release new picks.
Also, you have to get in at the beginning and be “lucky” that all their picks will go up 5 or more times before crashing.

I have been watching APS for about 3-4 months now. I did my research and crunched the numbers. I’m also new to trading. Usually the dump side of their scheme start at the $2 range. The object is to get in early and sell before that. $1.10 sounds like a safe sell zone. Don’t get in after $1 and sell before $1.60. Example: getting in on their initial alert @30-40 cents and selling at 80-90 cents with a $500 investment gets you roughly $500 or more in profits. Not bad for just sitting on your ass playing minesweeper all day. Do your research.. I cannot stress this enough! This is obviously making smart people richer, and greedy people are losing out because they have their eyes set on the “$5-10 target price”. Let me tell you something, APS isn’t going to publicly say we’ll sell out at $2… It’s not rocket science. I’m sure right now they are working on their next deal, and we’ll get the newsletter alert soon. Happy trading.

Ride the pump get out before the dump!
SNPK was awesome, even know I did not get in right away, I think I got lucky. APS has gone silent, do they usually pump up the announcement coming up or do you just get an alert out of the blue?

    Anthony Taubenkrau says:
    May 9th, 2012 at 10:30 am

    You nailed it.

Don’t use any money you can’t afford to lose on a APS play. Once you put that money in your brokerage account, write it off.

Next, wait for the APS promo and BUY!

Then, when it hits the $1-$1.50 range (depending on your level of greed/risk)…SELL.

BTW, from the time you get in until the time you get out, the APS play will “shake out” many scared and timid investors. There will be a “press release” with horrible news that will cause an immediate drop in price and scare out retail investors. There will also be other manipulations that can only occur on the OTC stocks they tout…

Have a plan and execute, do your own research and Due Diligence.

You’re right. I like to call it riding the scam.. It’s obviously a pump and dump.. We all know that. If anyone invested in APS’s picks before checking out their track record.. I’m sorry to say, but they are dumb. Always do your research like pog said.. It doesn’t take any time to check the charts. I made $10,000 on snpk. (first time with APS) Easy money guys, don’t get greedy.

My question is, what trading site do all these guys use? Reason I ask is because when the email comes out and I go in to make my purchase on E-Trade, my order never gets filled and even when I keep raising my “buy” price as the price is climbing, my order takes forever to get filled therefore I miss out on the upswing and by the time I get in, I paid the high price. So what’s the best platform and technique to use to have your order filled quickly?? That is key!

first there is a difference between the ticker quote and what you will get the buy or sell for. If you look at otcmarkets.com and see the quote right below the quote it tells you the last ask/bid was. You will fill your request according to the last bid. Sometimes the changes come fast so that withstanding you should get the buy or sell that way.

does any one know how to see who is buying and selling?

is it one company or person, that is buying / selling the large share holdings.

if so, then we know why it is being pushed. they buy, and then sell as other buy in.

I try to buy a good amount of shares when I first receive an alert for a new pick, and just after I buy I set an order to sell half of my shares when it hits a dollar, making a really good profit before it gets dumped. And when I see it go over a dollar sometimes, I sell the rest of my shares and short sell the stock to make money when it gets dumped, but I only use what I made to short it because you never know how long they will pump it,even though it usually get dumped somewhere around a dollar. don’t hold on to it…it is only going to get worse…this is how these promotions work…it is over but they will try to lure you to stay in or come back in by increasing the price of shares but in no time they will crash even further, and further, until it is back to where they started, ie.,0.20 cents a share.

Cut your losses…it will only get worse, imho. I’ve lost before myself and have learned from it.

Scarey stuff when my stock wouldnt sell as it was falling. I tried to sell it before it hit these at 1.60, 1.45, and several other times but it wouldnt sell, after awhile I figured keeping it, perhaps a chance later to recoup??crazy!

This company proved to me today that it is total bullshit !! This happened with a stock called SNPK. They had some Panamanian compnay that they knew had a very large investment (50 Million shares ) but us little people did not know about !! They waited until today to get their profit while alot of people lost their butts. I only lost a few hundred but I am sure alot of people lost much more !! It went from $2.40 to as we speak $.74 and counting !! I learned some lessons personally but the trust in the whole stock market is not there for me !! Too many ways to get conned, bad advice, manipulation of market sectors and a million other ways to just lose your money !! Even having the right info is subject to believing !! I have a better chance at roulette than to invest in any of these scams !! At least I would only have myself to blame instead of some faceless bloodsucker !! good luck !! I learned alot about PUMP AND DUMPS !!

When you are buying a penny stock like this one, that has just been released to the world :), you must realize who is selling their stock while we are buying. Most often it is an IPO, where SNPK is getting the proceeds from selling their stock.
Next you need see if any one person or company is buying in bulk.
The initial purchased over a few days will drive up the stock value.
In most cases if someone has bought in bulk, they will sell off most of their holdings, when they have hit their profit point. Today is a sell off day, if you look at the trades at 11:01 am, either someone or a group of people sold their stock? This was the prelude to the drop today. Will the stock recover; your guess is as good as mine.
Just be aware that those buying in bulk have their motive, mostly greed and profits.
My question is Awesome Penny a company or person like this, do they locate a good company and then push up the stock, only to take profits before suggesting that the stock is going to move even higher.

At this time the stock has levelled out. lets see what the next few days bring, if you notice since 11;27 am, people are starting to buy back in, is this too late? Will the stock recover?
    Let me know your thoughts.

main reasons for your stop loss wont proceed through is because there aren’t many buyers .. and everyone wants to sell their shares .. so, ur pretty much screwed … for example, at the ask there are 10000 shares and at the bid side there are 120000 shares … everyone is trying to sell and only one person is trying to buy … hope that helps a little bit …

    d says:
    April 18th, 2012 at 9:39 pm

C, it will not recover to its former pre-dump level, ie., $2.38. Just my opinion having studied their previous promotions. In fact, it’s just going to go down further, with the odd bounce here and there. If anything, now you just want to day trade it, but his can be risky as well…got to stay glued to your computer and watch what’s happening minute by minute.

You couldn’t put a stop loss on SNPK because its a pink slip. A penny stock is a stock that trades under $5.00 and not all of them are pink slips so you are able to protect yourself on some of them. Either way penny stocks move up or down really fast and stop loss will most likely end up dumping the stock in one of its dips right before it shoots right back up so I just watch them and buy and sell them as they move. You can make more money by buying and selling than buying and holding with a stop loss because 99.9% of the time penny stocks rise really fast and after a bit TANK! sometimes even at lower levels than they were before the run. I still believe that if you watch these stocks and day trade them as they move there is a lot of money to be made. Just got to be careful.
    Good Luck.

Look — APS is what it is: a pump and dump. Get in early, and I mean on opening day, preferably at the opening bell. Half the doubling run up can be on the first day!

I have been with APS for about a year, and cannot remember a penny that did not double. Greed kills. When you hit your double, sell and get out, ie, get in with the pump and get out before the dump.

APS used to churn about one stock a month. Lately they’ve been holding onto stuff for longer. For instance, SNPK is now into its second month as I write this.

Get in at X, sell at 2X. Take profit. Then plow the proceeds into the next penny, rinse and repeat. The boring part is then drumming your fingers on the desk patiently waiting for the present pump/dump cycle to exhaust itself so they can move on. Think of locusts moving from one crop field to another, eating everything in its path. I have never lost money on a APS penny. Again, greed kills.

I just missed on making money but didnt put in a stop loss. That is an important tool to use !! Stock went from $2.40 to .74 in a matter of an hour. I learned something but luckily it wasnt my life savings !! Found out a under the radar company in panama had 50 million shares and dumped them at $2.40. APS knows this and then act like they are trying to save you when they to know all about it to begin with !! Do alot of research about how all this works before doing a damn thing !! That = my friend is honest an anwser as you will get !!

The biggest problem with most of you is that you get greedy!! You simply forget that you haven’t earned the actual profit yet!!

For instance, if you buy in at .35 and now the stock is trading at .83 DO NOT WAIT !!!!SELL SELL SELL!!!!

Awesome Penny Stocks picks can be very profitable. First of all, you need to buy as soon as the email comes out, not 3 days later. Personally, I buy right after the alert and then sell and the end of the day. These things usually run for much longer than that, but I like to lock in profits and then buy the dips the second day.

Penny stocks, even promoted penny stocks, can be profitable. They are also VERY risky. You must do your research and learn how this game works or you will get burned big time. Don’t hold pennies too long. Do not believe that a 7 cent stock is going to $10 in 3 weeks because a free newsletter told you so. It’s not going to happen.Don’t get greedy and lock in profits!

It’s not rocket science people. They buy emails through search advertising and other channels. Nothing wrong there– people willingly sign-up/opt-in. They build big lists for the variety of newsletters they publish. Companies (or shells of companies) come to them to help them “boost” value– and they send “exclusive” announcements to their email lists. At first, the stocks do jump because of their sheer reach. Is it illegal? Not really…as it’s pretty much pure marketing. Is it ethical? Not at all. Can you make money off of their recommendations? Guess it depends on how early you act.

    Which stock did you buy?
Most of their stocks do really well and go up from a few cents to under $2.

I, myself, have lost about $5000 so far, on 2 stocks.

The first one (POTG) I bought too late in the game… at .368 cents and then it crashed to .07 cents.
The second one (AMWI) I got in too late also. Bought at $1.14.
A few hours later it crashed to .26 cents.

Both of these losses were my fault. I didn’t buy at the initial alert, hesitated, then got impulsive and bought too late, when they had risen too much.

I was too busy and missed the initial alert for NSRS. I really regret not buying that one. It was a goldmine, went from .07 to $1.79

I bought 12,000 shares of their current pick SNPK right after their initial alert. I bought at .56 cents and after not seeing much of an increase over a couple of days, I sold at .67….over $1300 profit.
This stock is not much of a mover, kind of a dud but I’m happy I made a profit.

I’m happy, happy, happy…waiting for the next goldmine.

My experience with APS started with the excitement over AMWI and my friend and I invested and watched the numbers go from $0.65 to $1.29 within hours, and then tumble down to $0.10 on the news of a lawsuit. APS still hyped the stock as being strong enough for a comeback and we’re still waiting for that dream. The problem I have with them is that they then switched gears and got hot on NSRS and said that it might do as well as there last pick, and it too has been a dismal failure. Now they say to get excited over SNPK, and that it might be as fast a climber as their other picks. They dont have a good recent track record of picks to be proud of and anyone new to their site might just be fooled into thinking they do. Its sad that sites like that exist to help out the fly by night stocks, and in the end it is buyer beware. I agree with others who have posted to get in early and leave early with these picks, and make your money a little at a time. Best of Luck to all.

Please remember that every single stock out there has risen at some point and if they pick a stock that goes from $0.10 to $0.102 yes it has risen but that doesn’t mean that you are going to make any real money on it and when that stock is claimed by their “experience” to be a likely candidate to climb to $5.00 like stock XYZ did years ago, they are misleading you (especially when their disclaimer states that they are not experts in the field and take money from the same companies they report on)

I don’t remember the symbol as I wasn’t trading their picks at the time, but I think it was in December of 2010. I’ve been on their email list for around 10 years now. Yes, some do lose money or fail to go up much, if at all. Here’s what I have to say to those who say it is a scam.

It is not a scam. I’ve been on the list a long time. I would appreciate it if the next person who says it is a scam would please also post their notes from the last 12 alerts with prices for the daily highs and lows, opens and closes for the 30 days following the alert, as well as the price when the alert went out and what the price was at 15 minute intervals for the three hours following the initial alert.

Before you trade any system you should first paper trade and keep such records for at least six months. My instinct tells me that none of these people have actually done that.

Bottom line is learn and watch what is happening for a while in the Penny Stock arena. Go to a place like stockhaven and understand all you can about trading penny stocks. You can make huge profits and huge losses. Don’t think that you can just one day start trading and only make money because someone said that something is going to the moon. If you have never made 20 or 40% in a year in your investment portfolio then don’t set a goal to make 500% in 3 weeks. If you follow a system after you have learned the basics of trading and money management then you can start to trade and make money. You worked hard for your $$ so don’t blow it without educating yourself. Penny stocks, when understood and invested with a real plan can be EXTREMELY lucrative. Just know that 99% of the time that an Awesome Penny pic or any other Promotion is going to go up and then come down. Get in early and then take profits along the way. Have predefined exits with a stoploss. In my opinion APS is the best when you know what you are doing.

Awesome penny stocks highly recommended nsrs which jumped to 1.72 a share from .07. Good deal? They kept saying to hold because the iri indicated it was a strong buy and might go to $5 a share. The more i held the more i lost and now it’s selling for less than .10 a share. Awesome penny stocks is a perfect pump and dump scheme!! Use discretion and caution when taking their advice!

I’ve also been following Awesome Penny Stocks for over a year, plus a bunch of others. I’ve recorded their performance on stock pics and I think the idea behind most ‘penny stock sites’ is that they buy the stock before hand, recommend it to a bunch of others and sell the stock when it is way ‘overvalued’, plus they get money from promoting the stock. Another problem with pinksheets and OTCBB markets are that they are not regulated (well OTCBB has to file with SEC minimum standards which is slightly better than pinksheets). Nonetheless, Awesome Penny Stocks stock picks have generally had a huge impact on the underlying stock prices and you can make money if you’re in early enough and get out early enough before the stock is ‘dumped’. Also check out that the trading volumes are sufficient enough so you can retreat your position – I’ve lost too many times being not able to sell my stock when in-the-money due to low trading volumes! I’m trying to figure out a way to get to these stocks before they are promoted or then ill set up my own ‘stock recommendation’ website lol.

    Hi James,

I am new to all of this. I recently subscribed to Awesome Penny Stocks and recently opened an Etrade account. I’ve learned so far that I NEED/MUST put in a limit when buying and selling. What I am not sure of is how EXACTLY do I do that. Can I place a “stop loss” in at the same time that I buy? I’m not clear on the difference between a “stop loss” and a “trailer”.

I’m on West Coast time and work a 9-5, so there is NO way I can sit at my desk and watch stocks all day. So I think what I want is a “trailer”? When I make my purchase, I want to “SELL” as soon as the stock starts to drop….say…..5 cents. Could someone please advise? Thanks in advance : )LL

    James says:

It usually takes about a month for it to go past a dollar, but in most cases they get dumped the same day they break the dollar mark. Just to be safe I always have a stop loss to lock in profits and use my iphone app to tell me every time it rises or drops .10 ten cents. (App is call stock alerts). My advice is never buy it once it gets dumped even though the alerts will give you some lame excuse why it got dumped and will keep telling you to buy or hold your position. ;)

Unfortunately the grand majority of micro-caps are hole in the wall companies. Yes, there is a lot of manipulation in the OTC Market. Fortunately, I am not the one doing it.

As a buyer, you can still make money even if you have suspicions that the company is not legitimate. (There are so many of them, it is realistically impossible to be a trader and avoid them). Unfortunately, most all of the stocks in the penny stock world have been promoted at one time or another. This is not the buyer’s fault. Also, why isn’t it just as wrong for Jim Cramer on CNN? Why is it ok for Coca Cola to be advertised and not for a stock? Get a clue, guys!

Just like -everything else- in life, there is a learning curve. Yes, you can lose money -at first-. But you can make money. There are a lot of people who have made lots of money on penny stocks, even though most of them are virtual. Look up Timothy Sykes. What it takes is -self control- . If someone places 20,000 on their FIRST TRADE with NO EXPERIENCE, they are SETTING THEMSELVES UP FOR DISASTER. THEY HAVE NO ONE TO BLAME BUT THEMSELVES. In fact, I think APS is would have ended up helping this person because if they happened to accidentally buy at the “right time” they may have quadrupled their money instead of losing it in other securities, that may have even been absolutely legitimate.

BUT DON’T PUT 20,000 ON A STOCK. USE ONLY MONEY THAT YOU WOULD BE OK WITH LOSING!!!

    'Bobby says:
    March 3rd, 2012 at 5:18 pm

I’m with you Billy, the problem is people get greedy and want more money and sit there hoping the stock will rebound, take the profits and be happy. People you have to think of it as you are getting on a fast moving train (buy)…and the train (stock)is going to crash…you have to get off before (sell) the train crashes, and believe me …the train is going to crash.
I traded commodities and believe me this is much easier.
So, if you don’t get greedy and make a plan on how mush you want to make. Be happy with the profit you made and just wait for the next stock tip and make more money, more money, more money. Just jump off the train before it crashes. I’m new to Awesome Penny Stocks, but paper traded for 3 months now ready to jump in. Awesome Penny Stocks is so easy to make a huge profit! Yes. It IS a pump and dump. How else does a stock go up 1,000% in a month?!? Look at all of their last picks.. NSRS, AMWI, MILV.. They all go from under 10 cents to over a dollar in about a month! All you have to do is buy in when you get their first email, and then sell after a few weeks. Easy way to quadruple your money. Just don’t get greedy and hold for too long! I had a friend who was up thousands of dollars in AMWI, but he held for too long and lost it all when it crashed, now it’s worthless. Just buy in IMMEDIATELY and don’t get too greedy! The picks usually last around a month. EASY MONEY!! Everyone that says this is some sort of scam or says it’s “just a pump and dump” is so stupid for not seeing how they can tag along with APS and make a fortune! PUMP AND DUMP AND MAKE MONEY!!

This is an awesome newsletter, I’ve made so much more money with APS than doing my own research on stocks that take months, sometimes years to return decent gains. You have to be smart about investing with APS. If you hold too long you will get burned. Get in early and get out, otherwise you will lose money when the shares are dumped. In six months I’ve turned $1,200 into $20,000 with APS picks. NSRS hasn’t disappointed either. I bought at $.21 and sold at $.55, more than doubled my money and got out. Currently it is trading in the $1.20 range and my guess is will be dumped within the next week. My suggestion is to GET OUT if you’re still holding.

No different than kramer pumping stocks on cnn money The thing is that penny stocks are so volatile. They are risky. Technically what they do isn’t a scam. Nobody is forcing you to buy anything. Use your head and be smart. They key is, the larger amounts you invest, the shorter you stay in. The least, the longer.

    Buyer Beware.

I have subscribed to their email alerts for about a year now. Never took action on any of their recommendations until NSRS. Their disclaimers are certainly warning flags, and it definitely has the feel of a “pump & dump” — but that does not mean that the stocks are illegitimate, or that you can’t make any money on them.

I decided to take the plunge as soon as I got their first alert on NSRS back on 12/27/11. By the time I was able to take action on the alert (about 1 hour after they had send their email) – the stock was at .20. Well – since I was hesitant, I bought a whopping 1,000 shares. So, I was in for $208.95 (with commission). I kept an eye on it, as others were buying in. Those who get in early can make money. I watched it until it hit .48, and sold out, getting $471.05 (with commission). So, I did in fact make $262.10 — a return of 125%. I regret not keeping it until the close-to-.90 price – but, you’ve got to be content with what you can make out of it.

A couple things to keep in mind:

    1. You need to jump in as soon as the alert is given, if you want to. I actually have a text message sent to me whenever they send out an alert.

    2. You need to only “invest” what you are comfortable losing completely. Or at least, won’t sting as much.

    3. You need to use limit orders only! Check the quotes on your trading platform and / or OTCBB.com, and pick a price near the trading range, and place the order. NEVER use market orders. You have no control, if it is trading wildly. If you miss the mark with your limit order, you can always change it, or stop altogether.

    4. Pick a reasonable return & target price, and then get out! When I saw it nearing .50, I thought a 100% return was enough, put in a LIMIT ORDER for .48, and it was sold. Profit made. Now – you’re done! No matter what other emails you might get, it’s best to stay out! Need to stay disciplined on this. I did have second thoughts, after seeing it run up into the .80′s, but I still made money!

I’m going to wait now until their next recommendation, and try out my strategy again. But this time, I’m going to use my profits from this trade! That way, I’m not using my original capital. We’ll see what happens!

Remember: AwesomePennyStocks are risky. They are compensated for their recommendations. They may have bought thousands — even millions — of shares at extremely low prices, before they even made their recommendation. So, they really are in it for themselves. But, if there is a good run, you may be able to get in on the ride for awhile. Just don’t get too excited. And don’t listen to any of their research — do the research yourself. Also, don’t follow their Technical Analysis — it isn’t worth anything with a high-flying penny stock.

Hope this helps! I have been saving every report on NSRS that they have sent out, so that I can track what they say & when they say it. It has been fun to look at it, though!

    Just remember: Buyer Beware!

I need to generate some income since I am unable to work anymore but I want to deal with a company I can trust. I appreciate your review of Awesome and the companies you suggest I do business with. This sounds like a hustle. Feels like they are prepping the market for something big. Feels like they are building confidence with these numerous small gains and will build up a large base of buyers who will at some point be very confident of a gain with their picks. Feels like they will then have an amazing opportunity that can’t be passed up. Lots of people will be ready to pump their money in and the sellers will get rich in one play. Just my thoughts on it.

    SCAM ALERT !!!!

Fake reviews here. Fake posting of past picks!

They are NOT researchers, they are PAID TO PUMP and advertise the companies.
Much of the time, they are paid in shares of the stock and are SELLING when they tell you to buy!

Read their disclaimer (HIDDEN very well) — they even SAY they are not researchers and are paid. READ IT! STAY AWAY!

    SCAM!

The last one went to 12 cents and now it is at 1.9 cents. do not fall for their scam unless you want to loss your money or sale before they do.

    Hello reader,

I’m writing this to you in the hopes that you see this before you decide to invest any money into any website company that recommends Penny Stocks. The website called AwesomePennyStocks.Com is in fact a scam.

I have proof because they ripped me off with one of their recommendations on AMWI. They were in fact paid 15,000 Euros by AMWI owned by Tangeria Foundation to promote their stock as a deal to buy. Oddly enough when enough of the stcoks were sold to the public the Tangeria Foundation along with AwesomePennyStocks.Com sold all their stocks causing the value to crash on all it’s investors.

I wanted to warn everyone because they still operate and the authorities have not caught up with them yet.

    Sincerely,

This was the first newsletter I ever signed up for, and it is the only one i trust. I have only been in the stock market since i signed up for APS.com in summer ’11 and i quickly figured out that you don’t want to marry a stock, buy and then sell after a decent profit, don’t expect it to go up to what they are saying it will. but because people believe it will go up that high, it goes up, so be smart and get out ahead and you will love this newsletter as much as i did. I turned $215 into 1,490 because of amwi and I couldn’t be happier!

As the author of the main article above said, that APS.com and the third company will sell and cause the stock to crash. I have seen that happen in the last three picks. But, I have also seen very large gains in the three as well. So the trick is to sell before they sell. Now whether they are a scam or not, that remains to be seen. But even if they are, if you can sell before they can, then you can scam them right back.

That’s just the thing with APS.com promotions. You have to get in on their initial stock alerts to make money. Don’t believe them when they say it could reach $10 or $12 by next week. Its just a ploy to prevent you from selling your shares. You need to get in and out as soon as you made a decent profit. You wait to long and you will lose a lot of money when these promoters sell.

This site seems very dangerous. The AMWI pick did go very well for me, but had I not put the limit sell at .50, I don’t know if I’d have had this good profit. I’ve never done %165 up in a few days before! I got in at .19 with about $50, got out with $117. Not too shabby! It seems to me penny’s are manipulated so easily that a popular “free” newsletter with this much hype is going to affect these prices big time. Pump and dump sounds about right.

Definitely gambling! I think I’ll try it again in the future, but I’m certainly never going to throw an entire bank roll on the line based on a website paid to promote stocks. I’d suggest betting small rolls and putting in stops if your broker allows. Do research on their picks while you’re at it as well. Make sure the news isn’t written by them!

Most reviews here have no idea what they are talking about. It’s all amateur reviews. I have made money with this free newsletter. Stocks that increase 100% or more in a very short period of time is due to either a short squeeze or speculators who quickly take their profits. That is not a pump and dump, it’s just the company hasn’t made it onto investors (long term holders) screens because of a poor balance sheet. If you don’t know the first thing about trading stocks of course you will feel burned by not selling in time then blame the newsletter. If a stock doubles or triples in a short time it’s time to sell, period. Take responsibilty for your own education. AwesomePennyStocks is not a scam, they use technical Analysis.

If you want do get into legitimate short term investing try the options market.Baron’s (part of WSJ publications) financial news listed options that doubled in value within a week’s time. There is a site I think called Optionsxpress that is on line. You can learn how options work and even practice on one of the sites they have.

An option is a sort of right to either buy or sell a stock at a certain price. One option represents 100 shares of stock. They can sellfor as low as 1/16th of a dollar times 100. In other words .0625 cents times 100 which equals $6.25. Computers have now made it possible to buy them for .05 times 100 which equals $5.00. Options represent almost every stock issued in the market. Check it out, I think you will be impressed.

Tell your family tell you cousins, tell your friends, I’m sure glad I didn’t cause sure it takes a little run then comes crashing down.

The on line brokerage company I am using will not let me put in a stop loss on these pink sheet stocks, so when I get home from work it has crashed down, too late, oh well, another lesson learned

It is a scam big time,

All of the companies are lower or equal to their beginning price when they came out.
They all experienced a rapid increase in price for a very small amount of time.
    What does that tell you

More proof. Look up potg.Pk and milv.Pk the last 2 companies picked
Both companies pr’d false documents, some ranging from 1986 (potg’s land report for the land they bought in peru)

I’ve made a great fortune as a micro investor playing the pennies. I have my outlook with a “rule” on any and all new messages that come in from AwesomePennyStock.com. “WHY” you ask!??! because I’m pretty damn sure that $5000 purchased at .07/share and sold within 10 minutes of entering into that position at a limit price of .14/share just bumped my account upto a nice cool and easy $10k. Anyone knocking the newsletter is doing so because they aren’t playing it right. DONT BE GREEDY.

purchase at the second you get the email and then sell ALL of your position once it about .50 cents or so. Obviously the reason the stock is going up is because the newsletter, thats why it’s great. We all know theres about one or twice a month we get to make good cash for no good reason at all. You think the company your buying the stock of is all of a sudden ahead of Earnings which is why the volume and price and spiked over 500%. Hell no, it’s the short term investor waiting for the next email to come out and swoop in for a quick buck.

Of course the stock is gonna crash, people are stupid if they think its a long term hold!!!! most micros are startup/development companies. They have no market and most are net loss balancecs for the first few years. People, don’t be stupid here. Be smart, play it right and you could make an easy living of this. I checked portage resources (potg) that awesome penny stocks was hyping and the report said that it was pre-exploration gold mining company, which means that they are not even digging holes yet and that they were in trouble, finding money to survive. If you look in the yahoo summary of the company they claim that they are worth hundreds of millions of dollars. Always check the sec filings, these companies have to file a form by law.

Why would you “invest” thousands of dollars if you can’t afford it? I play with penny stocks (keyword being play), with just a couple hundred dollars at a time. It’s like going to the casino without leaving my home. Besides, I would blow that much in a weekend with my wife and kids. I don’t think this is a scam, unless you let yourself be duped. And, if you get duped, you probably did it to yourself (that is the cynic in me). There is no free ride, something for nothing, or too good to be true. If you gain, great! I’m happy for you. If you lose, claim it on your taxes and move on. I’ve done both.

I don’t think so, they either are paid to hype the stock or they buy the stock for a few cents and hype for all they can get then in the blink of the eye they sell it off with a 50% loss in one day, then they wait for the bargain hunters to come in to bloat a worthless stock back up then they do it again. my husband and i actually made 5-digits in the long run. we did lose money on some of their picks but we are up on the majority and that’s what matters. i just wish they had more picks more often.

I’m on your side Branda! I was just googling awesomepennystocks.com to see if they had website or something like it for me to go to so I could maybe get more picks. I’m anticipating the end of this one, which is the AMWI pump. I got at .06 and sold at .21, not shabby for a days work punching a keyboard. Bunch of haters on here that don’t know a damn thing about pump n’ dumps.

I agree, but however they do put how much they were compensated in their disclaimer and tell you not to invest on what they say because they are an advertisement company. POTG actually gained almost 1,000% before it dropped off the charts. If you know how to read charts, volume, momentum, sec filling reports etc. It can be a great way to make a quick dollar or two. Once again though like you said they get paid to represent the company and advertise for them. So just watch your stocks sell when in the green, do not get greedy, and use a tight stop loss when trading. If you do these steps along with your research you will be fine.

sure they jump after they hype them for a few days, then all the chumps put their money on the line then they dive big time like potg.if the subscription is free watch out.how do they make their money?they buy their shares for a few cents, hype the stock and then sell to the suckers.the sec is too busy going after the big time crooks in the market to go after them. BEWARE

Good info. So use awesome penny stocks for what it is. We all know that when their newsletter comes out MANY people will buy the stock. The stock will go up for a few days and them drop and go underground. Be smart as soonest they post a stock BUY it wait a couple of hours maybe a day or two and sellit, you wouldn’t make much money but you will make money and not loose it for sure. The more you buy the more you gain. The penny stocks that they tell you to buy are not long time investment stock they are quick money money makers some might go up and stay up but most wouldn’t.

Seems like a scam. I think they hype it up, it goes up with a lot of activity, then drops back down. I lost money on their first recommendation.

How long did you hold your position after buying and how long after you received the initial pick did you buy?

I don’t think you can short stocks under a dollar, can you? If that is the case, then they are not telling the truth if they are saying that someone is shorting their picks.

It’s a freakin pump-n-dump … They’re pick will ‘pop’ for a day or 2, then TANK a few days into the ‘promised’ HUGE potential gain. Yea, right. BS at its finest. RUN , don’t walk.

Penny stocks are the stocks that trade under $5. However, it can also be defined as any stock which trades either on the over the counter market or on the pink sheets. There are many stocks with share prices in the dollar range and a market cap of over a few hundred million dollars, sometimes even equivalent a mid cap in the price of their market valuation.

If you look at their picks, there does seem to be a correlation between their picks and an increase in price over a several day period of time.

If you know what you’re doing, this website provides a well of information. Profits from these stocks, with a little research of past picks, can provide a spring of profit, albeit the moral issue of duping ignorant buyers. Manipulative, but also profitable.

I have been hung out to dry playing the “AwesomePennyStocks” picks. They take off like a rocket as soon as the first newsletter comes out and then fall like rocks within a couple of days. They will blame, by name, some market makers for shorting their picks, which if it is true means that those guys really have it out the writers of the newsletter. Unless you are lightning fast day trading you will get screwed.
