Global Test Market Reviews – Is GlobalTestMarket.com Legit?
October 1st, 2007 | Published in Paid Surveys, Uncategorized
Global Test Market (www.GlobalTestMarket.com) is a fairly established online market research panel. They have participants from nearly 200 countries contributing opinions in return for cash rewards. Over the years they have maintained a solid reputation and have an impressive, 5 million plus, membership.
Similar to other survey companies Global Test Market will send survey invitations to your email box. This is why it’s important to use a valid email address when you register with them. Upon completion of a survey you’ll be rewarded with market points which can later be redeemed for cash.
At the current exchange rate 1,000 points will earn you fifty US dollars which is also the minimum cash out level. The good thing about Global Test Market is that they reward loyalty and the more surveys you complete the more points per survey you will get.
The company pays out by checks in US dollars, this can be a slight inconvenience for non US residents, but nothing too serious. After reaching the appropriate level and requesting payment it can take up to two months to receive your check.
So far I haven’t received any complaints regarding non-payment issues from Global Test Market members. The only downside is that it can take several months to reach the fifty dollar minimum cash out point. So I would recommend using this company in conjunction with another income stream.
Note: If you came to this website because you’re looking for a way to make money online then I suggest you take a look at my top recommendations. These are the best methods I’ve found that anyone can use to make money online, Click Here.

I have been part of the program for 3 weeks and I have received eleven surveys. I have only “qualified” for one and now have a balance of 35 points toward my 1000… Feeling kind of jipped so far. At least a monetary investment isn’t lost, just wasted time. |

There is no way someone can make 1200 dollars on this site. Once you reach 900 points the surveys stop coming. I got one survey it said I completed it to click here for my reward and then it said I was ineligible! After 30 minutes of wasting my time saying I completed it. This happened twice. LOL cash out 1200 every 2 months?! Must be someone working for GMT. Just look at all the post there are a handful of positives. I contacted them on both occasions and only one time they emailed back to forward them the email saying they would give me points but they gave me a stupid sweepstakes entry. I forwarded the email and they never contacted me back. So I went to the BBB and I haven’t heard anything from the BBB either. I finally got to 1000 and it took me to get from 900 to 1000 just as long as it took me to get from 0-900. Now that I redeemed my points I’m getting 3-4 surveys again. I will not be wasting my time with this company again. |

I am a member of several panels including this one. It is not one of my favorites. I don’t “qualify” for their surveys very often. Customer Service is basically non-existent other than a few canned emails. I wouldn’t call it a scam but if you want to make a lot of money this probably isn’t your answer. |

Me too. I used to love Global Test Market – up until Autumn 2008 it was the best survey place by far. i used to make about £25 a month. Since then – in my opinion – they have become a very dubious website. Points are docked with no warning. When you challenge them – you are told that they issued double points and are clawing them back. When you ask them to provide evidence of this they cant and then often say they will reissue the cheque. But the problems keep coming. Twice they have inserted false address details on my profile. I know this is them – as it has happened to my friends who are also members. And its always been the same address details that they insert. Before Xmas they inserted “Sutherland” and today I find they have inserted “Northamptonshire” and “Lytham St Annes”. This has happened on 3 peoples accounts that I know of. So no cheques every arrive – I’m owed 4000 points and cheques from last August. Please be aware and seriously consider whether or not you want to do any more surveys for these dubious bunch, and check the address details they have for you! |

I had 1000 points, and requested a cheque. After about 3 weeks i got an email there had been an error, so i mistakenly got double points. the cheque would be canceled and the points put back into the account. Several weeks later i did not get the cheque nor the points |

I have been a member with this panel for a long time now and for awhile it was a good panel to be in. Then out of the blue I was no longer able to log in. I tried for days and couldn’t. I emailed them and was told that I was kicked out because I had more than one account. I do not know where they got that. I only have one account. I had just requested my $50.00 and think this was a way for them to not pay me. They said my account had been froze and I would not get my money that I had worked hard to earn for almost a year. I am very angry with this company. They are a fraud. They out right lied when they said I had a double account. There is not way under the sun that this is true. Is there anything, I can do about this? |

I’ve cashed out 8x in the past 3 or 4 years now and not had any of the problems that other posters had mentioned. I actually cashed out less then a week ago and am already back up to 99 points again. |

Been with GTM for nearly 3 years now. I have never experienced any of the problems listed by the people below. The frequency of my survey invites remain constant no matter how many points are in my account. I have always received my payment within 4 to 6 weeks as GTM promises. Now they have had some technical issues with their website and surveys from time to time, but GTM always send an email notice explaining the problem, and sometimes awards bonus points for the inconvenience. I to do not qualify for every survey, but they still award points if you do not qualify. Every other survey company just offers a sweepstakes entry when you do not qualify. GTM all the way! |

I can relate to a lot of the gripes i read here about global. I’ve been a member for a few years. But i have to say when it comes to cashing in, I have never had a problem getting my cheque in the time frame they say. Comes like clockwork. But as far as getting well into a survey and only to be told, YOU DONT QUALIFY..makes me very angry. total waste of time. Also..yes i agree, you get close to 1000 cash in points and pffft no more surveys forever. But i wait. sooner or later one comes that im qualified for. I’ve made 3 or 400 dollars from this site, and i figure its worth the hassle. (sofar) One point, and i dont know if this makes a difference or not but i always cash in soon as i hit a 50 dollar payout. |

Not only do I not qualify for a large percentage of the surveys they invite me to, I cannot get them to stop sending them to me. I have emailed and gotten generic responses, and finally managed to start getting messages that seemed like they came from a live person. They all assured me that I was removed, but now I get several invites a day. |

I joined GTM back in August and have completed many surveys for them. Recently I would be mostly through a survey only to find I “Dont qualify”, thus wasting 20 minutes of my time. My two issues are that the referral program is a joke, I had 4 friends sign up, and when I backchecked and sent them another invite the screen shows “Registered but you are not the referral”. I have contacted customer service and have had no reply. The second thing to beware of is when you get close to that 1000 point mark, the surveys STOP COMING! I hit 950 and what was once 2 or 3 surveys a week has become nil. Looks like they got my information and participation for free, as I dont expect anymore surveys from them in the near future. |

I have been participating with them for about 8 or 9 months. It’s annoying b/c I keep getting the same surveys that told me I don’t qualify, so then I don’t get any additional points. Though sometimes they’ll give me 5 points for trying. I am doing a little research to find out if I should keep doing this! Thanks everyone. |

I cashed out on Oct 27 and am still waiting for my check. Much longer than other survey companies I take surveys for. I emailed last week asking about my payment, but never heard back. If I don’t have my check soon, I will quit taking surveys for them. |

I suggest that all the people who have issues get hold of the Survey Police – I notice that these survey companies REALLY dont want to have their panel members complain en masse as it can really effect their standing within thr industry… |

Awful – just awful! Global Test Market are infuriating. I have completed several surveys for which I have not had any points added and worse… on 4 occasions, my points total has actually gone down!!!! Their customer service is absolutely awful. When I complain I just get a generic email reply and now I don’t get any reply at all. If anyome has their direct contact details I would be grateful! Steer clear of this one! |

GTM is the best. Been a member for over 2 years and have cashed out every 2 months for a total of around $1,200. Visit the blog and see they are legit. They are the only survey company that provides updates like they do on the blog. |

I have been a member for several years and have cashed in several times. Yes it did take awhile to get the cash but the last time it was June. Now recently I had enough points to cash in (1035). I got a confirmation letter and then weird stuff started to happen. All of a sudden I had 925 points then 50 points then 900 points then 25 points…sometimes all in the same day! I contacted the company three times so far. I get an immediate response saying that I will be contacted within two days. Then I get a grammatically incorrect standard response that they are looking in to it signed by various people with Russian sounding names. It has now been over 6 weeks since I cashed in and I am angry! |

I have been using GTM for over a year, and have managed to earn $150 (£75 GBP). Compared to many other websites, this one sends you invitations regularly, with acceptable rewards and, generally, I have no problem with them. On the other hand however, when it comes to surveys being cut short at the end, resulting in no reward, I have had MANY experiences of this happening. This has occurred at least 15-20 times within the last 6 months, and most of which have taken 20-30 (sometimes even 45 or more!) minutes to complete. When I contact GTM about this, I either receive a generic response (the usual… “there must a problem with your internet connection”, or ” you used the forward/back button on your browser, which resulted in the survey being interrupted” – none of which are true), or you receive no reply at all. They will completely ignore you almost every time you contact them, so you’re even lucky to get a response at all. They have cheated me out of at least $50 in the last 6 months alone which is completely unacceptable and fraudulent (they always ensure they have enough information to submit to the companies employing them, then terminate the survey claiming that there was a technical error, so they can get away with not paying you.) I am currently in need of as much extra cash as possible (as I’m sure many people taking part in surveys are), so I am reluctant to cancel my account, and it’s this very fact that GTM will play on. They must remember that without us they wouldn’t have a business at all, however whilst there are people willing to put up with it, they will carry on as they are. |

I was a member for a couple months, and accumulated a large amount of points (about 200 dollars worth), when I went to cash them in, my account froze and my password no longer worked! I sent an email to customer service, got a reply and gave them the info requested. After that, nothing else. That was about a year ago, and I have not seen anymore surveys from the crooks! JUST A BIG WASTE OF TIME AND HOPE! |

I’ve been a member of global test market for more than 2yrs,And at the time of converting the 1000Market points into 50$ cash, the Company cheated me,and didn’t send me any cash throught the post,Just all the time giving the lame excuse as that they didn’t get correct Address,In today modern World, this lame excuse will not work,Actually they didn’t want to pay me after 2yrs,this is how they cheated me withhelding all my hardearned moneywith the lame excuse as “address is not correct”If they didn’t want to pay then why did they encourage the people by taking the survey,at the end, they have no money to pay, that is why i got dishearted and unsubscribed from the site.”BE AWARE OF THIS SITE,I DOUBT WHETHER THIS SITE HAS PAID ITS MEMBERS OR JUST PLAYING WITH THE PEOPLE VALUABLE TIME. |

I also have been denied payment. I actually got to 1010 and happily cashed out my points…even got a confirmation email to tell me so. A week later I checked my account only to find my points had been reduced to 990 and even though I did another survey to take me above the cash out point again my points have not been credited to my account. This company is such a rip off!!!! |

Please do not accumulate your points for a bigger cash out. In May, I redeemed 8000 points (400 USD) and right after that I stopped receiving surveys. After a few failed communications with them, I posted message on their blog. They replied to me saying that my account was closed due to quality strikes and that they were not bound to disclose the exact reason for quality strike. I have been a member of GTM for three years now and it’s really upsetting to think that they closed my account just because I requested for a large amount of reward at a time. |

The thing w/ GTM is this, they send you surveys but the surveys always exclude you as not-qualifying. How can anyone ever reach the minimum 1000 points? They cannot. It is ridiculous. They dont want anyone redeeming points but they want to gather information so their sponsors will pay them for marketing info. What they do is fix the surveys to exclude everyone at some point after fact gathering enough information of value to give to their sponsors. This way, they get info from you then disqualify you but they can send info to their sponsors. |

Global Test Market, is the VERY WORST survey company! I cannot imagine anyone being any worse or corrupt! I’m reporting them to the BBB as others have. But, GTM seems to always have an answer & somehow maintains a satisfactory record. More people need to make reports on them. |

What is the real deal with Globaltestmarket? They invite you to join , make it sound like fun and profit. The fun stops when you want to redeem your earned points, they give you a run around, stop you from completing surveys and just make it a frustrating effort… |

I have finally reached the point where I can redeem my market points. I have tried numerous times and the process does not work. I do as instructed only to get a continual sign in page with no way to redeem points. I have contacted Customer Service who than emailed a day later stating the problem would be corrected. After trying again and again days later I can not redeem my points the site will not allow me to proceed any further than the redeem button page after hitting redeem I am placed on a sign in page and this is a never ending problem. Customer service contacted yesterday and no response. |

I’m trying to find out the name of someone in charge at Global Test Market. In early July I put in a request for payment. At the time I had 5140 points or $257. I haven’t received anything from them other than requests for my address or my account number. Today I got an email asking for my apartment number. I’ve been doing surveys for them for about 4 years and I’ve always received payment before. If you have any ideas on how I should proceed I would greatly appreciate it. Thank You. |

I’ve been with Global Test Market, from some time now and I haven’t qualified for a lot of the surveys that they’ve sent me it could just be because of the way I completed my personal profile. At this rate it might take a year to get enough points to cash out, but, it’s still fun and easy money. If you’re into survey sites, this is a decent one. |
