SignatureSurveys.com Reviews – Legit or Scam?

May 22nd, 2012  |  Published in Paid Surveys

Signature Surveys, at SignatureSurveys.com, is a new online market research site which claims its users can earn “hundreds or thousands more a month just working a few hours a week.”

When you sign up with Signature Surveys, you will be given a $5 activation bonus and a $20 bonus opportunity immediately, so that everyone has a chance to earn some money as soon as possible.

Registering with Signature Surveys is free, and only requires your name and email address. Since all surveys will be emailed to you, it is important to provide a real email address.

Warning Signs

Anyone who was worked online with market research companies before knows that companies who promise large earnings – such as the possibility of “thousands” of dollars a month – is misleading their members.

Online market research is a legitimate earning opportunity, and is one of the most popular ways for people to earn extra money, though it is widely recognized that your earnings will not replace a daily salary.

In addition, when you sign up with SignatureSurveys, you agree to let them email you messages and advertisements from their partner companies. If at any time you decide to unsubscribe from these emails, your account will be canceled and any money you have earned at that point will be forfeited.

The Bottom Line

Once you register with Signature Surveys, you will be taken to another page and given the option to sign up with a wide variety of other survey companies, including InboxPays.com, NPD Online, Only Cash Surveys, and YouGov, amongst many others.

These are the companies that will provide you with the surveys you will take. Signature Surveys is a just a hub where you can sign up for multiple other survey sites. However, they also require that you allow them to send you advertisements, otherwise you membership will be canceled.

This gives you two options: either create an email account simply for the advertisements and surveys and use that to sign up at SignatureSurveys, or go to the actual market research websites and sign up for those individually.

My Paid Survey Depot Reviews – Legit or Scam?

April 18th, 2012  |  Published in Paid Surveys

My Paid Survey Depot, at MyPaidSurveyDepot.com, is a new site which claims that anyone can make money taking online surveys at home by signing up with their service.

When you sign up with My Paid Survey Depot, they promise their new members a $25 sign up bonus, just for registering with their company. To register, they simply require your name, phone number, email address, gender, and age.

Citizens of Britain, Canada, Australia, and the United States may sign up with My Paid Survey Depot. Currently, citizens of other international nations may not sign up for the surveys available at MyPaidSurveyDepot.com.

When You Sign Up

After you fill out the brief registration questionnaire, My Paid Survey Depot will give you a list of outside survey providers and a variety of other companies to sign up with. You are told that signing up with these companies will give you “access to the highest paying surveys.”

Many of the companies you are given an opportunity to register with are other survey companies, like Inbox Dollars, ZoomPanel, and Vindale. Then there are specialty companies like DealChicken.com and Swagbucks.

If you refuse to sign up with any of these outside companies, My Paid Survey Depot will hand pick 3 survey companies they think are the right fit for you.

At this point, you are required to sign up with these 3 companies, or forfeit your $25 sign up bonus. You will also be unable to continue with the registration process unless you sign up with these companies.

Concerns

When you register with MyPaidSurveyDepot.com, your phone number is required for “high paying phone surveys.” In general this indicates that your phone number will be shared with advertisers, vendors, and partner companies.

In addition, at the time of this review neither the Terms & Conditions Policy nor the Privacy Policy were available to view, so you are actually very unsure as to what exactly will be done with your personal information after you sign up.

There are many other legitimate companies with whom you can make money taking online surveys. No one should feel as though they have to sign up with a company who is not disclosing what will be done with their personal information.

Daily Survey Panel Reviews – Legit or Scam?

February 6th, 2012  |  Published in Paid Surveys

Daily Survey Panel is a popular online market research site that claims to pay its members for completing surveys that will be available to them on a daily basis.

Unlike many other online market research websites, Daily Survey Panel claims to provide their members with survey invitations on a daily basis, rather than just a few times a month.

In addition to daily survey invitations, they claim to offer a large variety of surveys, fast payouts, and “super friendly” customer service. Membership is 100% free to join, and Daily Survey Panel says you will never be asked to pay a fee.

Evaluating an Online Market Research Site

There are some consistent things to look for when deciding whether or not to use a particular market research site. First, make sure that the site is free to join and use. Market researchers should be paid by those collecting the research, not their members.

Secondly, these websites should not try to convince their members they will be able to “quit their day job” once they begin completing surveys. Surveys often pay very little, because they are so quick and easy to do, making them more appropriate for earning extra money.

Finally, you should always understand a website’s system for compensating you. How high is their payout? Do they pay in cash or prizes? How and when do you receive your payout?

How Does DailySurveyPanel Stack Up?

Daily Survey Panel says that it will never charge its members’ fees and it never makes unrealistic claims about your earning potential.

They also say that their payout amount is very low, at 200 points, which they claim can be earned simply by completing one or two surveys. And when you choose to redeem your points, payments are processed within 48 hours.

When you sign up with Daily Survey Panel, you are also given the option to sign up with Quick Rewards Network, a rewards site which pays its members to do things they would otherwise normally do online, such as shop or play games.

You must be over 18 and live in either the United States, Canada or the United Kingdom to join Daily Survey Panel at this time.

Harris Poll Online Reviews – Legit or Scam?

January 30th, 2012  |  Published in Paid Surveys

Harris Poll Online is the online division of Harris Interactive, a global market research company which gives individuals a chance to “influence important decision makers in government, business, and non-profits.”

When you join Harris Poll Online, you’ll be enrolled in their appreciation program, which allows you to earn HIpoints when you complete surveys. HIpoints may then be exchanged for prizes and gift certificates.

Members can sign up at HarrisPollOnline.com for free, as long as you are at least 13 years old, with a verifiable mailing address and email address, and you can unsubscribe from their service at any time.

Participating with Harris Poll Online

Members will typically receive 3-4 survey invitations per month, with each survey taking anywhere between 5 and 25 minutes to complete. Each survey will reward members with a different amount of HIpoints.

Some members with certain areas of interest or special characteristics, such as certain medical conditions or backgrounds, may qualify for more surveys than other members on a month to month basis.

Not every survey you take will be rewarded with HIpoints, but Harris Poll Online promises that surveys which don’t award points will be the exception.

In addition to acquiring HIpoints, Harris Poll Online also has opportunities for members to be enrolled in their HIstakes sweepstakes. These sweepstakes give members the opportunity to win cash prizes anywhere from $250 up to $10,000.

Issues with Harris Poll Online

Harris Poll Online does have a problem with imposters and scammers using their name for illegal purposes. Ads have posted online from Harris/Decima offering free cash or gifts for mystery shopping or quality assurance studies.

These ads are false, and in no way associated either with Harris Poll Online or Harris Interactive. If you see any of these ads, you should contact the company directly at 800-600-2493 and report them.

All the information you provide the Harris Poll with, both contact and personal, will be kept confidential. The Harris Poll Online promises to never release your personal information to any other person, company, or organization without your permission.

Global Opinion Panels Reviews – Legit or Scam?

January 16th, 2012  |  Published in Paid Surveys

The Global Opinion Panels (www.GlobalOpinionPanels.com) is an online survey provider from Synovate, one of the largest market research firms in the world.

Anyone can join Global Opinion Panels, including those from eleven different countries. Members will receive email invitations a few times a month, and may at times receive phone invitations to test products or participate in research projects.

For every completed survey, members will be rewarded with points, which can be redeemed for store vouchers or checks. In addition, members will receive entry into a monthly sweepstakes, with cash prizes ranging between $10 and $500.

Earning Rewards

When you sign up with Global Opinion Panels, you will automatically be given 500 reward points to start with. After signing up, you will begin receiving email invitations, which will announce how many rewards points that particular survey is worth.

However, you only earn the points if you complete the survey. Though surveys generally only take 5-10 minutes to complete, you can often be disqualified from a survey for a particular answer that you give. If this occurs, you will not earn the points.

1000 points is equal to $1 and once you have reached 5000 points, you can begin redeeming your points either for a store voucher or a check. Voucher numbers will be emailed to you within 2 weeks, and checks will be mailed between 4 and 6 weeks.

Surveys that are complicated or longer in length than standard will often have additional incentives for members to complete. All surveys are only available for a short period of time, however, so members should try to complete them quickly after being invited.

The Bottom Line

Global Opinion Panels is free for everyone to join, and you can unsubscribe from their emails at any time.

Since there is no published scale for how many points you receive for completing surveys, it is difficult to tell whether or not their payout rate of 5000 points should be considered low or high.

Members should be careful if they see that surveys are only awarding minimal points, as it can be very easy to get burned out before you reach the payout amount. Members who quit before they can redeem their points will have nothing to show for it.

Monthly sweepstakes will be held on the 15th of the following month, and winners will be contacted by email, as well as published on the website.
