Global Test Market Reviews – Legit or Scam?

Global Test Market (www.GlobalTestMarket.com) is a fairly established online market research panel. They have participants from nearly 200 countries contributing opinions in return for cash rewards. Over the years they have maintained a solid reputation and have an impressive, 5 million plus, membership.
Similar to other survey companies Global Test Market will send survey invitations to your email box. This is why it’s important to use a valid email address when you register with them. Upon completion of a survey you’ll be rewarded with market points which can later be redeemed for cash.
At the current exchange rate 1,000 points will earn you fifty US dollars which is also the minimum cash out level. The good thing about Global Test Market is that they reward loyalty and the more surveys you complete the more points per survey you will get.
The company pays out by checks in US dollars, this can be a slight inconvenience for non US residents, but nothing too serious. After reaching the appropriate level and requesting payment it can take up to two months to receive your check.
So far I haven’t received any complaints regarding non-payment issues from Global Test Market members. The only downside is that it can take several months to reach the fifty dollar minimum cash out point. So I would recommend using this company in conjunction with another income stream.

GTM does not pay for surveys.I did numerous profile surveys for which I received entries in drawings. They finally sent me a survey that paid 30 market points. After I completed it,(15min.) I was informed I had been screened out. If you have free time to donate….. this company is for you.

I am surprised to read some of the reviews above but I can say that this is completely legitimate. I registered a year back and I was patient with Surveys. Completed 1000 points in Nov’11 and sent a redemption request then (fingers crossed). Just received a letter a couple a days back which was addressed to me and said that if undelivered please return to a Canada address (I live in India, Mumbai). Was wondering what could be from Canada? Opened it and Wow!! it was a cheque worth Rs. 2522/- (50$). Was so happy, they gave it in INR so no hassle for me. The cheque was drawn from Citibank.

I have been a member for years. The last year I have been stuck at 885 and every survey I get either freezes up, doesn’t load, gives an error message or after spending 5-10 min. answering questions I am not qualified for the survey. Yes I believe they get the answers they want and just don’t want to pay. I have also noticed I am getting a lot more spam email about enlarging male anatomy and other emails. Since the email address I used for this survey is NOT my main email I am quite sure the junk is coming from GTM. If I ever get to 1000 I will try to cash in and then stop.

I just took two surveys and after going thru page after page I got a popup that said According to their records I had already completed that survey. Now I know that’s wrong because I haven’t taken a survey from Global for well over a month. Seems to me they just want answers without rewarding my time so no more for me.
December 26th, 2011 at 8:38 pm
i complete tons of surveys and just get a screen-out (so no points) awful

I have been a member of GTM since OCtober…I receive at least 10 surveys a day and I haven’t had any complaints..I receive 1000 pts at least once a month..I don’t have any complaints about how it works just the check cashing..I received my check today and went to walmart to cash it and it didn’t go through..They didn’t give me a reason just to contact them..I sent an email and hopefully I get a reply soon..

i have not received a single survey from last three weeks.i don’t know when they are going to send me

I am extremely surprised to hear so much of negative reports on GTM because i have been a member since 2005 and have been receiving my paycheck regularly after 6-8 weeks (I reside in India).Yes, i do agree that one gets often screened out of the surveys but I have been patient and reach my 1000 points in around 5-6 months. However, my experience is very different and good with them. I have been paid regularly so far. But you never know when a genuine company can turn into a scam.

recently purchased a product from South Beach which offered a promotion for free gas. Have been on your website and it obviously was made to be as difficult as possible to navigate! NONE of the instructions for use accurate and can only surmise this is a scam.

My globaltestmarket Account number is 19918503 and they cheat by didn’t send check after redemption of 1035 points and officials didn’t respond to my complaints properly. They mail me that they issued a new check but its also a big lie because after 3 months itself I didn’t receive a check from them but I got Payment from mturk via check regularly. So they are cheating the workers.

I have been trying to unsubscribe from their surveys for at least 2 months without success. They are not helpful and this experience has been incredibly frustrating. Do not sign up with this company!
October 30th, 2011 at 10:05 pm
It seems many of you say that there are legit sites out there, so what are they called? I have around 300-400 points after a year or so. I get screened out for many of them.
October 29th, 2011 at 8:44 pm
GMT have morphed from a genuine market research company, willing to pay reasonable money, into just another company where you screen out, and are offered a “prize draw”. There is a real ageist element to the screen out, or “survey has been completed”. They clearly are ageist, and must have clients who share the same philosophy. I am not surprised at all the negative feedback. These guys, who had an honest business – sharing genuine market research fees have clearly gone bad. Their clients should be binning them, and the unpaid fees should be subject to legal action.
October 25th, 2011 at 4:08 pm
Same here! Very frustrating. Is this typical? I have not received any emails back but want to cash out. It keeps getting stuck on the “please wait” green screen. Is this legit or a scam? I will be so mad if I don’t get this $50 I earned.

GTM is the worst. Been a member for about 1 year and i haven’t been paid.
They do not respond to emails, i’ve been sending them.
You also get other marketing emails not related to Global Test Market.

I have the same problem, I have received at least 3 checks from them in the past, but just tried to cash out last week and got the same green screen that everyone has been getting!! I did find a number for them 206-315-9300 but you call there and it is impossible to talk to a “live” person. This is very frustrating, I want my 50.00!! I am glad I am not alone.

South Beach Smoke advertises on their site if you buy an electronic cigarette kit, then the price is offset by another company called Fill it Up USA. I have had my kit for over 4 months. The Fill it Up USA site keeps stating there are no surveys at this time. The idea behind all this is, you save your gas receipts, complete the survey, mail it in with your gas receipt attached and get a refund. Now when I go to the site and try to contact them or complain in my case I am redirected to an error page. No site found! RED FLAG! South Beach Smoke is a good site and their product is good but buyer beware. Nothing is free!

I dont know anything about the GTM, I received a $3990.00 check in the mail from them. Letter attached said i could make up to $600.00 a week doing mystery shopping in my home town. I have 3 tasks to do and I get to keep $200.00 of this check. Then when task was done they would send me new one
$200.00 my pay
$3510.00 stipulated amoutn for western union assignment
$180.00 service fee charge by money gram or western union per assignment
$100.00 walmart retail shopping assignment
i have 48 hours to complete task after i sign in saying i got this letter. WANT TO TRY TO SEE IF THIS IS LIGIT BUT SO SCARED THAT I AM GOING TO LOOSE MY MONEY AND BE CHARGED BANK FEES IF I DEPOSIT THIS CHECK.

Big time scam, DO not cash that check. The check is probably not even from the company they claim to be. There is no way a company would just trust you to send $3100 via western union. This person is trying to steal your money.

Global Test Market are a scam. You spend 15-30 minutes doing the survey, then at the end, they ‘screen you out’ AFTER having received from you all the helpful data they wanted.
Anna says:

I can say many of the survey’s do not give points/cash. I hae been part of probably 5 different survey groups and they either gave no reward or knock me out of the survey that I just sat for 30 minutes to do and to waste my time. I have never gotten a dime from surveys and I will never sign to do them again. OHH!! I did get a lot of emails from them!

I am having the same problem as Karoline. That’s why I came searching this morning for reviews. I have been with GTM for a few months and get around 5 surveys a day from them. I’ve sat here for 20 – 30 minutes many, many times answering questions only to be “screened out” after that amount of time? I’m beginning to think it’s a scam. They get tons of opinions and answers from me and THEN screen me out? I do not have even ONE point with them yet. Something is not right here.

September 5th, 2011 at 7:36 am
They seem like a legitimate company, but I was signed on with them for a month and failed to qualify for any surveys. I made no money and had a zero balance in my account. I am 63, and therefore probably not in the best demographic, but I qualify with other survey companies. You know, by the time you have filled 6 to 10 screens of information in a survey, a company has already gotten some useful statistics from you, and it is probably worth money to them even if you do not qualify for a specific survey. It is frustrating to start survey after survey only to be told after 10 or more minutes that you do not qualify. Considering that all companies ask you to fill out profile surveys at the beginning, that is unacceptable.
Cee says:
October 11th, 2011 at 6:15 pm
Quite true! There are a few exceptionally good companies that actually pay you for any survey you attempt and do not qualify for.
August 20th, 2011 at 7:56 am
I contacted the BBB but guess what? Global Test Market is a member so I am sure they won’t do anything. Why would they go after their own members? I think companies join the BBB so they can scam you and not have to pay. I contacted the ICS3. It is a part of the federal bureau of investigations.
Sofia says:
November 15th, 2011 at 12:35 am

July 31st, 2011 at 9:33 pm
I cashed out my points in April and never received my check. I sent them a note in June about the issue, so they had me reconfirm my address and claimed they were sending out another check. The check never arrived, so I sent another message. They replied and said that my address is undeliverable and to provide a new address.
This is the worst reasoning I’ve ever heard because I know for a fact that my address is not undeliverable. All of my mail gets to me on time and without issue, except for GTM mail, which I’m guessing they do not actually send out. The customer service people cannot confirm if they even attempted to send the check!!
They said that they will only try and send the check one more time and after that, they will never try again. This policy is not stated in their terms of service or FAQ. I gave them a new address for a relative which also receives mail without issue and lodged a complaint against the company with the BBB.

This company is no less than criminal!
RUN AWAY! RUN AWAY!
July 25th, 2011 at 12:44 pm
Stay away from this survey site. It’s dreadful. The surveys take such a long time and some aren’t even worth any points, even when you fully qualify. You can take a survey for 20-30 minutes and get screened out, which is absurd. Not to mention the surveys that malfunction right when it seems you’re about to reach the end. You don’t get any points for these or for trying. The customer service is quite bad too. They’re slow to respond, and it doesn’t seem like they actually read what you’ve written. They just give a canned response at random!!
July 12th, 2011 at 7:37 pm
It is Dreadful!! I get Screened out so many times! it take months to get up to 1000 points which sucks!!! It’s time consuming and their payments are very low! I would not recommend this to anyone! awful!!
July 1st, 2011 at 8:37 pm
I just wanted to say I cashed out my $50 bucks and received it in 6 weeks exactly. I live in New York, it should not take that long. 50 bucks is 50 bucks though, I tried to cash it at the check cashing store and they said you have to deposit it in your bank. GTM needs to fix this, b’cuz I ain’t feeling to put nothing in my bank account. P.S. It took me 2-3 weeks to reach 1000 points. You guys just don’t know how to qualify for a survey.
Cee says:
October 11th, 2011 at 6:26 pm
I feel ‘ya! there is an art to answering a survey for points! ;)
June 26th, 2011 at 8:07 pm
Nah Global Test Market is wack!
I took quite a number of surveys, quite a lot might I add just to get to the minimum $50 payout threshold I think.
Once I got to that threshold (took months @ only $1-2 per survey) I took all the normal avenues to claim my check. Needless to say my check never arrived!!! I was a bit angry at first but to be honest I just couldn’t be bothered chasing down that measly 50 bucks.
Still some of the claims of earning $15-25 per survey is way exaggerated!!! And if you have got/get these surveys, I can guarantee you that they will take a whole day to complete. I got a $15 or $25 dollar survey and guess how long it took… get ready for it… 3 DAYS!!! That thing was a monster!
My advice stay away from these online paid surveys. You will be working well below minimum wage x10! And then there’s the possibility of no recourse should you not receive your check. There is no return on investment (ROI) for the time you put in.
If you are looking for ways to make money online, you’re better of just starting a wordpress blog or something and writing useful/helpful tutorials, then generate money from it through advertising or something. You’ll earn a lot more than the pittance you slave for.
Wishing you all the best.
June 25th, 2011 at 1:51 am
My previous comment way back in April:
“I started using this survey site back in January and finally got 1000 points!! Their surveys take a lot longer than surveys from other sites, and you don’t get points for screening out, which is awful. But, I just cashed out my points and requested a check, so hopefully it will arrive in the mail. Though they did say it would take 4-6 weeks, which is a really long time. Oh well.”
It has been over 6 weeks and I still haven’t received my check. I contacted GTM and got a response 4 days later saying that they need to re-process the check and send it. I have to wait another 4 to 6 weeks!! Thankfully, I stopped taking their surveys after I claimed my supposed reward. Hopefully, the check will actually arrive. I don’t think GTM is worth the time. They are a pain in the bottom.
I started using PCHOnline Surveys and earned $20 for Amazon.com within 2 weeks. I got the $20 immediately after cashing in my points. YAY!! Try that one, they’re surveys are shorter and you actually get rewarded. No points for screen-outs though and some surveys are worth nothing. You can skip those if you’re attentive.
June 23rd, 2011 at 11:38 am
If your smart and read the post you won’t sign up. I have been a member for yrs and they use to be great. Then they started going down hill. I kept at it cause money is money, then Irecently cashed out for 50 dollars, didn’t recieve it and noticed I was no longer getting surveys. So I went to log in to my account and it said, Account disabled please contact us.
Well I contacted them and nothing so not only can I not get back into my account I am out the 50 dollars I’m sure.
I will keep bugging them, the way I look at it if they want to play games then I will just keep flooding them with emails for an explanation of why my account after yrs has been disabled. And where is my check for taking the time to do the surveys.

June 13th, 2011 at 11:08 pm
i agree with most of the blogs written, whilst i understand you cant make a fortune there surveys are too long you always get bumped, whether it be 50 % or 85% into survey, i will give give them another couple months then i will get out of there system which i have already tried but not been successful at so far, have tried other sites with much better results
June 13th, 2011 at 12:24 am
I was invited to a survey that was described as 20 minutes long and worth 45 pts. I was screened out after spending 15 minutes on it, and after it was almost 90% complete! I emailed the customer service to ask if this was a glitch. Their response was that the survey had strict criteria and that I experienced a long screening process. I find it hard to believe that 90% of their survey is comprised of screening questions.
I feel like this was done so they don’t have to compensate me for my time.
I have moved on from this company. I don’t want to be cheated by them again.
June 8th, 2011 at 10:00 am
I can say that GTM is a SCAM!!! I am almost to my 1000 pts..like, I only need 45 pts to be able to redeem my reward but the next day I logged onto my account, they disabled me and wasn’t able to sign in! I was so upset cause I feel like betrayed! I emailed them twice and scolded them and even call them a scammer! They respond to me the next day and told me about that Section 6 Good-Faith Participation and that I put false something in there. As far as I know and concerned, I didn’t put any false thing or wrong info in there. I told them to email me and give me proof that I am disobeying that Section 6 cause I really am not! And why did they have to wait till I’m almost to my last 45 points and then disabled my account?! Scammers!!!! Anyone have the same situation as me?
May 29th, 2011 at 2:06 pm
I have a pair of new Adidas sneakers sitting on my dining room table.
I used the 50.00 from this company to buy them.
This is the second check that I have received in four months, and within the next month, i will qualify for another check…
Which will go towards a new pair of Doc Martens that I need for work.
I have tried products as a survey person with this company- I have not minded the surveys- they are pretty interesting and with a large family, a number of my kids qualify as well.
Can’t say enough for them- Global Test Market is great- no I do not work for them…
Yes, I have been cut short when I have taken surveys, etc..
But cash is cash and I am not complaining!
May 19th, 2011 at 8:55 pm
I just want to point out that they do give points when you get screened out. But it’s only 5 points for taking the time to fill up the survey.
May 19th, 2011 at 10:35 am
I have been trying to cancel my account for 3 weeks now. They will not respond. I keep getting emails and I keep clicking “unsubscribe”, which they are then to send me an email confirming…which I never get. Only more surveys. Surveyors BEWARE!
April 25th, 2011 at 1:02 am

Global market survey is SCAM!! I have been participating in they surveys and only later I have noticed that my points are very low. One survey they promised me 200 points!!! and guess what? Survey completed and no 200 points! After 4 emails sent to them no answer, no explanation or a single word from them. Another thing they do is they lead you half way through the survey and then they screen me out. The closer I was getting to 500 points mark the more times I was screen out. Also they still sending me invites to participate again and again!!! I want to tell everyone who thinks about joining them BE careful or simply find another survey provider.
March 5th, 2011 at 3:08 am
I have been paid by Global Test Market before, however after I was finally paid I closed my account. They scam you right out of your time and money. Many times I would be 10-15 minutes into a survey and then all of a sudden I didn’t qualify. It wasn’t after a quality control question either because I know to keep an eye out for those. Several times the percentage complete meter will be past 90%, then a so called glitch occurs and there’s no way for me to get paid for the survey or all of a sudden I no longer qualify. I have memberships with other survey routers and if they forward me to Global Test Market I automatically just give up on that survey. I have even made it to the congratulations page and not get paid because that congratulations page magically turns into a “Sorry, you didn’t qualify for this survey”! Stay away, far AWAY!

Closed my account today. Kept getting surveys and answering ton of questions, then getting told I didn’t qualify. I mean detailed questions — not the demographics questions. I believe they got the information they wanted for free. Also way too many technical problems — all occuring, suspiciously, after I had answered many many detailed questions. Again, I think the technical problems are allowing them to get their desired info for free. I would not go near this outfit (Global Test Market) if I were you…

I have sent them mail upon mail after claiming 1500 points; they simply do not respond. Scammers? I think so!
December 25th, 2010 at 1:40 pm
scam scam scam i reached a 1000 points and it disabled my account
October 23rd, 2010 at 12:08 pm
I have used them for the last 4 years or so and like others say they used to award you 5 points if you didn’t qualify for a survey. Not anymore!! Also every survey they now send me always ends in “It turns out that you were screened out of this particular survey. We still think you are the greatest” What bollocks!! Don’t touch them with a bargepole!!

Global Test Market is totally legit! The amount of surveys will depend on how much information you provided with them. The more info, the more chances of receiving survey invitations. Before sending invites, they will check your profile first to see if you are qualified to answer the survey. Also, even an invitation has been sent, there’s still chance of getting drop once they have figured that you are not fit to answer the survey, but you will still earn 5 market points though for that particular invitation.
Honestly, I haven’t earn from them yet, I don’t receive that much invites (because I did not lie to my profile and claim I am this and that just to get as many invitations as possible…hehe). The last time I heard from them was on Sept. 30. I have already accumulated 165 points, still have a long way to go, but I can say Global is worthy of your time.

all you need is a little patience. I started doing this site in 2008 when their payout was 500 points for $50. I just redeemed 1000 points in July 2010 expecting to get a check for $100, when all I received was a check for $50. So I guess its 2000 points now for $100. It takes me at least 6 months (if I do all the surveys in my inbox immediately) to earn 1000 points. Most surveys are looking for a person of a certain age, race or gender to fill their quota. So I don’t think that is fair to call it a scam just because you got screened out of a survey.
I’ve earned about $500 in the past 2 years, because I’m patient, take a little time out of each day to complete the new surveys, update your profile surveys a couple times a year and learn to fill out the surveys correctly so you don’t get screened out.

Every time I seem to complete a survey, there is a message saying that I had already completed it… with a :) to add to my frustration.
I had NOT completed the surveys before in my life. I WANT MY POINTS(

I belong to about 3 or 4 survey sites and when I first started with Global Test Market, I was very excited! They gave a lot of opportunities, and while I screened out more often (it’s like they don’t filter their surveys) it still felt like I had more chances.
The first issue I had was the sweepstake surveys. I didn’t mind them until I started taking them and they seemed to take as long, if not longer, than surveys for points. It seems with most survey sites, the less they offer, the less they usually ask for time commitment. So with no points, just entries, I’d figure they’d be a quick 5-10 minute survey. No.
The next issue I had was the screening out process. With most survey sites, you give a few demographics, you answer 1-5 questions, at most, and very simple questions at that, and then you’re either taken to it or screened out. With GTM, it seems I had to get through 20 detailed questions that made me think I was already taking the survey until I got screened out. This seemed like a scam – get my information then screen me out. I’m sure there are some marketing companies out there who have gotten their research from us for free just by screening us out after getting just enough information.
And when I am screened out, I hate the language they use. “Bummer – you’re screened out, but you’re still the coolest!” I’m not 15 – don’t talk down to me.
My last straw was last week. I got a survey, started it, was told I was being taken to the survey, filled it out, took at good 20 minutes on it, was told they needed demographics to finish up, I filled that section out, was directed back to GTM’s site expecting my 35 points or whatever to be credited, and instead I got a screened out notice. I was livid!
I e-mailed customer service about the error, but they confirmed I was screened out. I hated that afterward, without giving me time to dispute or anything, they just mark it as resolved in a second e-mail. I know they offer you a chance to dispute then, or even rate their service, but don’t tell me it’s resolved; tell me if I don’t respond in a certain time it will be marked resolved. I’ve never seen customer service do that.
So I disputed, got a second e-mail back saying they further researched it and I was screened out, so I asked them to send me the survey again. Computers don’t always know everything (believe me, I work on them all day), I’ll take screencaps of the survey, send them back and prove my case.
You know, I didn’t expect them to let me do it, I didn’t even expect my points, but I also surely didn’t expect them to copy and paste their last response! I was done – they screw you over with points, screening and then provide no support.

Hard to get market points because they will not let you qualify for any of the surveys. It is like they want to collect the information and then towards the middle they kick you out because you do not qualify. I was honest the entire time until I got kicked from several surveys in a row so I decided to change my answers to what they wanted just to see what would happen and I still got kicked out.

This site used to be much better than it is but it is still a legitimate way to get a few extra bucks. They used to give you 5 points even when you screened out of a survey which was very nice. “Here’s 25¢, please try again.”
I have been a member for about 5 or 6 years and have received 7 or 8 checks for over $50. With the 5 points for screening out the checks used to come much quicker. I understand the financial reason for removing the 5 points, I just wish instead of removing it they would have reduced it to 2 or 3 points for trying a survey.
They do not, however, try to keep you from getting to $50 and cashing out. They are not a scam just not a get rich quick scheme.
Some people seem to think it is a scam because they have screened out of a lot of surveys. I frequently screen out of 10-15 in a row and then suddenly qualify for 2 or 3.
If you want a few extra bucks give it a try. If you are easily frustrated and in a hurry to get paid then look elsewhere.

I have been with Global Test for 4years. I opt out lots of time, but I have finally made it to the 1,000 points!. 50.00 is 50.00 no matter when you get it
June 5th, 2010 at 3:41 pm
I’ve been screened out of every survey so far, this is a scam
May 19th, 2010 at 1:11 am
During the initial months with Global Test Market, there weren’t much problems but as of 2009, the surveys got lesser and harder to qualify for. The points allotted are getting miserable too. Some surveys are so lengthy and we only get up to 35 points. Another complaint I have is that after completing a lengthy survey, at the point where I’m supposed to be directed back to the Global Test Market page, it never goes through. Therefore, I will never be credited for my work. This has happened a few times and when I wrote them about it, they said they can’t do anything about it. GTM is now just a waste of time!
May 9th, 2010 at 9:25 am
It really does take way too long to get cash. I’ve also had problems with taking surveys and not receiving the points. Finally I contacted their customer service and after they investigated the problem, they said I screened out of the survey…What??? I took the survey that was about 25 mins long and got absolutely nothing to show for it. Again this wasn’t the first time that this happened but it is definitely gonna be the last. There are alot better companies out there that don’t rip you off.
April 24th, 2010 at 3:50 pm
I participated in this for some months, accumulating 565 points. At that point I found that I seldom qualified for surveys and got 0 points even when the decision that I didn’t qualify only came after quite a number of responses. (Earlier it seemed like I usually got a few points if I did anything at all.) They’ve started giving you an “entry” in a “sweepstakes” instead. I’ve been stuck at 565 points for a long time (months). Today I just finished answering a host of questions about bottled water, only to get a “survey quota filled” message followed by yet another “sweepstakes entry”. I’ve essentially wasted a great deal of time for $0.
April 24th, 2010 at 11:59 am
I’ve been a member of Globaltestmarket for over 4 years now. True, the emails when you don’t qualify no longer give you five points; TRUE, there are more for just surveys and TRUE there are more surveys I do not qualify for. BUT the fact remains, I’ve made over $400 from doing surveys from them in these 4 years. Believe it or not, I have nothing to gain by saying this. They do pay and promptly.
April 10th, 2010 at 8:30 am
With all due respect to people who claim that they receive money on this certain company. I was about to believe you and signed up. As I was looking for some negative side, there is very huge. People will not complain if they sincerely doing a hard work even though how small they can get from it, if it is the company is not playing with scam. That’s very awful when a company doing a quick-rich formula while the the members doing the hard work for a single cent in a tik of their clock.
They just collect the members’ valid information, email address and more. They will used it for another business purposes such as email marketing and a lot more. And to those people saying they receive a money from these companies, yes, the company pays them to working to flood info that they are legit.
April 3rd, 2010 at 9:42 am
I have been a member of Global Test Market for over 4.5 years and they are very legitimate. I have cashed in a number of times over the years and the money has come in handy.
I do agree with a few people that with their new system sometimes the survey will award market points and then there are other surveys that award entries into their sweepstakes. In this respect, it does take longer to earn points, however, I’m still receiving my cash.
February 5th, 2010 at 4:43 pm
Total scam. I signed up using a new email address. Within days I started getting other marketing emails not related to them.
I have also completed studies and been awarded zero points. The customer service team is somewhere in Eastern Europe and they could give a rat’s ass if you were ripped off. Over half the surveys do not even work. You click on the link and a blue web page pops up. Nothing to click on just a blue page.
Do not waste your time.
January 30th, 2010 at 5:47 pm
Suddenly the website will not load either contacts page or surveys which have been sent to me- as I am close to being able to collect a payment I am annoyed at not being able to access surveys or contact them to ask why the surveys won’t load any more. Has anyone any ideas- I used to use internet explorer but started to used firefox recently as a browser and suspect that some setting is incorrect.
December 21st, 2009 at 11:30 pm
I have earned $100 from this site in the past 2 years. Recently, I have been at 340 marketpoints, and they keep sending me surveys that I don’t qualify for. They used to give you 5 market points for surveys that you attempted to complete but didn’t qualify for, but they’ve stopped doing that – now you only get entered into a sweepstakes! A little frustrating, but it was a nice pick-me-up when I got those $50 checks!
December 6th, 2009 at 7:57 am
I am wondering is the xbox really free just for signing up? sounds a little scam to me just to get you to sign up??
November 20th, 2009 at 1:19 pm
I have been with Global Test market for years; over the years I have notice “Customer Support” has gone home NEVER to return. The points are no longer being offered in “favor” of sweepstakes entries. Even the surveys that offer “Market Points” are awarded sweepstakes entries. It has not all ways been this bad. There was a time when they offered Market Points and was actually awarded market points. There was a time when Customer Service actually responded to questions. NO MORE!!! If this organization is not a “SCAM”; I do not know what is!
November 18th, 2009 at 9:16 pm
i have been using the site for a while, i don’t even mind the wasted time for surveys that say i don’t qualify. What makes me angry is that i completed several and they asked me to put my account number in at the end and my password and kept saying there was an error. so no points for some long completed surveys and no costumer service to actually help find my points. also they used to give me 5 points for all the surveys i didn’t qualify for and started, but now 0. some long surveys that i do, i’m not only given 3 chances in a sweepstakes that i will never win. i have been here for months and i’m stuck at 700 points. i have done about 40 surveys this month and only received about 30 points. &*#! these guys. i’m just so sick of people trying to screw each other in this world, trying to get something for nothing, lying to people. the sad things is i would continue and they would have a loyal research participant who really pays a attention and tries to be helpful and insight full. i’m sick on them and anyone/any company who resorts to these embarrassingly sad tactics.

There is no way someone can make 1200 dollars on this site. Once you reach 900 points the surveys stop coming. I got one survey it said I completed it to click here for my reward and then it said I was ineligible! After 30 minutes of wasting my time saying I completed it. This happened twice. LOL cash out 1200 every 2 months?! Must be someone working for GMT. Just look at all the posts there are a handful of positives. I contacted them on both occasions and only one time they emailed back to forward them the email saying they would give me points but they gave me a stupid sweepstakes entry. I forwarded the email and they never contacted me back. So I went to the BBB and I haven’t heard anything from the BBB either. I finally got to 1000 and it took me to get from 900 to 1000 just as long as it took me to get from 0-900. Now that I redeemed my points I’m getting 3-4 surveys again. I will not be wasting my time with this company again.

I had a similar experience to Mabbline, Alabama where they suddenly turned my account off. I wrote them and asked what I had done to deserve this. After a few days they wrote back and said I somehow violated there terms. I wrote Gabriella a personal note telling her it was impossible that I had done this and I heard nothing back. Then suddenly about 2 months later I got a note from her saying it was a big mistake and that my account was back on and my points restored. I promptly redeemed them and am waiting for the check. I do enjoy the surveys and had never redeemed for cash (until now) we shall see!

I had 1000 points, and requested a cheque. After about 3 weeks i got an email there had been an error, so i mistakenly got double points. the cheque would be canceled and the points put back into the account. Several weeks later i did not get the cheque nor the points

I have been a member with this panel for a long time now and for awhile it was a good panel to be in. Then out of the blue I was no longer able to log in. I tried for days and couldn’t. I emailed them and was told that I was kicked out because I had more than one account. I do not know where they got that. I only have one account. I had just requested my $50.00 and think this was a way for them to not pay me. They said my account had been froze and I would not get my money that I had worked hard to earn for almost a year. I am very angry with this company. They are a fraud. They out right lied when they said I had a double account. There is not way under the sun that this is true. Is there anything, I can do about this?
February 23rd, 2009 at 4:13 pm
Been with GTM for nearly 3 years now. I have never experienced any of the problems listed by the people below.
The frequency of my survey invites remain constant no matter how many points are in my account. I have always received my payment within 4 to 6 weeks as GTM promises.
Now they have had some technical issues with their website and surveys from time to time, but GTM always sends an email notice explaining the problem, and sometimes awards bonus points for the inconvenience.
I to do not qualify for every survey, but they still award points if you do not qualify. Every other survey company just offers a sweepstakes entry when you do not qualify. GTM all the way!
February 17th, 2009 at 3:01 pm
I can relate to a lot of the gripes i read here about global. I’ve been a member for a few years. But i have to say when it comes to cashing in, I have never had a problem getting my cheque in the time frame they say. Comes like clockwork. But as far as getting well into a survey and only to be told, YOU DONT QUALIFY..makes me very angry. Total waste of time. Also, yes i agree, you get close to 1000 cash in points and pffft no more surveys forever. But i wait. Sooner or later one comes that im qualified for. I’ve made 3 or 400 dollars from this site, and i figure its worth the hassle. (so far) One point, and i dont know if this makes a difference or not but i always cash in soon as i hit a 50 dollar payout.
December 23rd, 2008 at 10:22 am
I have been participating with them for about 8 or 9 months. It’s annoying b/c I keep getting the same surveys that told me I don’t qualify, so then I don’t get any additional points. Though sometimes they’ll give me 5 points for trying. I am doing a little research to find out if I should keep doing this! Thanks everyone.
November 12th, 2008 at 5:36 pm
GTM is the best. Been a member for over 2 years and have cashed out every 2 months for a total of around $1,200. Visit the blog and see they are legit. They are the only survey company that provides updates like they do on the blog.
November 11th, 2008 at 7:26 am
I have been a member for several years and have cashed in several times. Yes it did take awhile to get the cash but the last time it was June. Now recently I had enough points to cash in (1035). I got a confirmation letter and then weird stuff started to happen. All of a sudden I had 925 points then 50 points then 900 points then 25 points…sometimes all in the same day! I contacted the company three times so far. I get an immediate response saying that I will be contacted within two days. Then I get a grammatically incorrect standard response that they are looking in to it signed by various people with Russian sounding names. It has now been over 6 weeks since I cashed in and I am angry!

I have been using GTM for over a year, and have managed to earn $150 (£75 GBP). Compared to many other websites, this one sends you invitations regularly, with acceptable rewards and, generally, I have no problem with them.
On the other hand however, when it comes to surveys being cut short at the end, resulting in no reward, I have had MANY experiences of this happening. This has occurred at least 15-20 times within the last 6 months, and most of which have taken 20-30 (sometimes even 45 or more!) minutes to complete.
When I contact GTM about this, I either receive a generic response (the usual… “there must a problem with your internet connection”, or ” you used the forward/back button on your browser, which resulted in the survey being interrupted” – none of which are true), or you receive no reply at all. They will completely ignore you almost every time you contact them, so you’re even lucky to get a response at all.
They have cheated me out of at least $50 in the last 6 months alone which is completely unacceptable and fraudulent (they always ensure they have enough information to submit to the companies employing them, then terminate the survey claiming that there was a technical error, so they can get away with not paying you.)
I am currently in need of as much extra cash as possible (as I’m sure many people taking part in surveys are), so I am reluctant to cancel my account, and it’s this very fact that GTM will play on. They must remember that without us they wouldn’t have a business at all, however whilst there are people willing to put up with it, they will carry on as they are.
July 6th, 2008 at 10:58 pm
Please do not accumulate your points for a bigger cash out. In May, I redeemed 8000 points (400 USD) and right after that I stopped receiving surveys. After a few failed communications with them, I posted message on their blog. They replied to me saying that my account was closed due to quality strikes and that they were not bound to disclose the exact reason for quality strike. I have been a member of GTM for three years now and it’s really upsetting to think that they closed my account just because I requested for a large amount of reward at a time.
October 5th, 2007 at 5:56 pm
I’ve been with Global Test Market for some time now and I haven’t qualified for a lot of the surveys that they’ve sent me. It could just be because of the way I completed my personal profile. At this rate it might take a year to get enough points to cash out, but, it’s still fun and easy money. If you’re into survey sites, this is a decent one.
