Home Job Group Reviews – Legit or Scam?
HomeJobGroup.com is a new website that boasts a directory of over 1,500 work at home jobs. Similar to sites like home job stop, this new company claims to have a vetted database containing real jobs and no scams.
Having worked from home for several years I know that the search for actual home jobs is a difficult undertaking plagued with many pitfalls. At every turn there’s some site or “guru” promising to show you the path to real work, when in reality all they’re trying to do is separate you from your money.
This is why I’m always skeptical of sites like Home Job Group, who claim to be the white knights in this messy niche. I wanted to write up a review of this site to help people separate the truth from the hype.
The first thing that I noticed about Home Job Group is that they make fairly reasonable claims about the money that their members are making. They say that the average person who finds work through their site is making $700 a week. Now that’s a far cry from the “Make $500 a day” offers that are so common these days.
What Kind of Work Can You Find at Home Job Group?
They list a variety of jobs that you can find through their database, everything from administrative work to appointment setting. There are also technical positions available such as web and graphic design along with transcription and billing work.
The important thing to understand is that even though this is a membership site, you still need to be qualified for the positions you’re applying for. There is nothing that Home Job Group can do about that fact; some of the jobs require certain skills and experience that you may not have.
If you are looking for more general work I would recommend applying for the article writing jobs at HomeJobGroup.com. While many people believe that you need to be a strong writer to land these jobs, the reality is that there’s just as much work for inexperienced writers as pros.
Is Home Job Group a Scam?
While doing research on this program I didn’t find any negative customer comments, in addition a BBB search did not reveal any registered complaints. ( The BBB doesn’t have the greatest search engine, so if I missed some complaints let me know and I will update this post). I did find several positive reports about HJG but they were on affiliate websites which don’t have much credibility since they have monetary incentive to post favorable reviews.
Despite the lack of feedback I can tell you that a site like HomeJobGroup.com, which has been around since 2007, would not have a clean slate if it was blatantly ripping off customers. Word spreads incredibly fast on the internet and this kind of info would be in the top search results under the company name.
If you’re interested in finding a work at home job I would recommend trying this out for yourself. Since the payment processor for this product has an 8 week no questions asked money back guarantee there’s no harm in checking them out.
If you find legit work then keep the membership and use it as many times as you need, if not simply request a refund before the allotted time expires and continue your job search elsewhere. Click Here to Learn More…

It is a scam, don’t pay for their service it is not worth it. I made the big mistake of paying for their program, and nothing came out of it. You are not guaranteed a job they only send you to websites that offer at home jobs. They tell you if you pay the premium then you will have full access to all the job listings which is not true. I paid and I did not have full access to all the job postings like they indicated. I was looking for clerical data entry positions but I did not pay the premium amount so I did not have access to view those job postings. Everyday since I signed up with them I keep getting emails from them telling me that I will save $20 if I update to the premium and I will have full access to all the job listings. Today I went back to the first e-mail that they sent me when I first registered with them to access their website again, and I realized that now I had access to the premium job posting without having to pay the full fee. So then I realized that they are lying to people when they say you have to pay the full price for the premium membership.
I called clinkbank today like the previous post had suggested so I could get my money refunded. When I spoke with the rep she informed me that my money will be refunded back to my account in a couple of days and she sent me a follow up email to confirm what she told me. I also noticed in the email that she offered to provide technical support to resolve the problem but I declined; which is a lie because that was not in our conversation. Later I received another email from them stating that the ticket as been closed and that my money was not refunded. So now I’m upset because I was told that I will get my money back if I was not completely satisfied, and went I request my money back I was told that it will be refunded which turned out to be another lie.
Anyone who reads this believe me don’t waste your time or your money because you are not guaranteed a job neither are you guaranteed your money back. I had to learn the hard way. It is just a good thing that I did not pay the full price because it would just hurt even more seeing that I have full access to all the jobs now. Which is not even worth it seeing that they only offer links to other websites that you can find on your own without having to pay.

The only way to get a refund and cancel your membership with Home Job Group is to contact Clickbank.com. Their numbers are: 1-800-390-6035 and 208-345-4245. I contacted the second number to avoid any long wait for a customer service representative. I am supposed to be getting my refund in five days. It is less than thirty days since I signed up for my membership so I should be getting it back with no more problem, we will see.

I am currently doing online classes for medical billing and wanted to find a work at home billing job. The HomeJobGroup website listed medical billing in their jobs, so I joined as a Basic Member about 8/9/2010. Immediately after I got my membership confirmed the job page had most of the possible job areas blocked with the statement that I had to upgrade to the premium level to access them. I’m on unemployment. There’s no way I could or would be able to ‘upgrade’ instantly.
I did manage to find an older job page that let me access all of the job possibilities, but either I wasn’t qualified (needed 3-4 years of medical billing experience, no entry level jobs shown) or nothing fit me. The several I did check into that I thought I could do were false. HJG had copied and pasted info from the job sites that was totally unrelated to what they actually did as a company, or the link they provided was a dead end. If you supposedly run an honest info web site people rely on for business/jobs then you should police every link you post. I asked for my basic membership fee back on 8/11/2010. This is the answer I got from Jamie Spurlock on 8/13/2010:
“Thank you for your purchase of the program! I would like to recommend you to upgrade to either the premium membership or the placement membership. The premium one gives you FULL AND UNLIMITED access to our database and our placement one gives you everything the premium does, but we also apply to jobs for you.
Sincerely,
Jamie Spurlock

Home Job Group”
I have since sent three other emails requesting my refund. I have heard Nothing from Jamie Spurlock, or anyone else connected to this website, since her one and only email. In the last email on 8/21/2010 to them I gave them till 8pm EST tonight to give me my refund or I would file a complaint with the BBB. I am quite happy to file a complaint against such a disreputable site.

I signed up for this website based on reviews. I was so wrong. I knew the minute I started looking at the site that it was not for me. So, they have a no question asked refund. I asked for a refund the same day I ordered. Still no refund after being refused a refund every day since. This is a terrible website. I have contact the BBB and will continue to talk out against them!

I have just started Home job group website and it seems to be really helpful probably because I did the premium membership in which they help you find a job.
But I just want to advise everyone of the Group Big Weekly Earnings, now that is a SCAM, you first sign up for 49.95 just to get directed to a page in which you learn how to resell Big Earnings Weekly to new people using twitter and the website review service they recommend which is $147.00, and by the time you are done paying for the pay per click and ad words it is really costing you and i did not make alot of money i only made 100.00 in 1 week and i followed their directions perfectly, and bought all their recommendations. I am trying to now get my money back in which they promised 8 weeks if i did not like it i would get a full refund and i am having trouble now getting that back.

SCAM…SCAM…SCAM
My friend and I signed up for it in October 2009. She’s in Georgia, and I am in Florida. We sent out so many applications, made phone calls, etc, and we both got the same result. Nothing. For most of the job, the browser doesn’t work, or the phone numbers are disconnected. Just imagine spending 30 minutes filling out an application, then have it being blocked. Since there are no phone numbers for them, we went back and forth with emails. No live person to talk to. What they suggested is to upgrade to the ultimate level…Yea right. We both requested our money back. I requested my money back in November – 4 weeks after, and was told by Clickbank that the $49.95 would be back in my account within 5 business days. I forgot to check on it over the holidays. In January I called, Clickbank informed me that the open ticket was closed by Home Job Group and they did not issue the credit, but they will reopen the ticket. After emailing HJG, they responded with the email below.
We received your request for a refund through ClickBank. Our processing department is investigating to make sure your request was made in the allotted refund time frame.
Please let us know what steps you took with our program to make it successful for you.
Sincerely,

To date I have not received a refund, and neither did my friend. I do not think the jobs they are posting are legit. They must be using an undated database from 2006. I did get a couple of “thank you for submitting your resume response”, but I believe those came straight from Home Job Group. Definitely a scam…watch out!

I cannot confirm that it is a scam as I did not sign up for it but I can confirm that their sales page is full of lies.
On their first page where you enter your country and the job you want you are taken to a sales page. I tried with several real and fake countries and the pages all come up the same claiming the same jobs are available.
If you want to find this type of work just search on Google. Why throw your money away when there is no guarantee of a job. It’s the equivalent of you paying someone $100 for the jobs section of your local paper.

Ron Pane…
It’s refreshing to finally find relevant free work at home jobs information with all of the “fluff” and hype floating around on the web. Thanks!…

I am so glad I found this website. I am a copyeditor who specializes in writing for the Internet. I am also a single Mom, so working from home is my ideal. I am also a black box tester of software applications and interactive websites – something else that can easily be done by remote. But so far, I haven’t been compelled to send anybody a payment for access to their list of opportunities.
It’s wonderful to find this information – what’s a scam and what can be recommended. Thank you so much.
