Home Website Builder Reviews – Legit or Scam?

HomeWebsiteBuilder.com

The Home Website Builder is a website that claims the ability to make money is as simple as 1, 2, 3. 1 is choosing your website template, 2 is picking the products you will sell on your website, and 3 is earning money! The best part is that Home Website Builder will provide you with the website you need to do this for free.

Well, maybe not free. As you go through the process of setting up your free website, you will quickly see that Home Website Builder says that you can have a free website, but it’s not likely to make you money. Having one website is more for people who wish to have a “hobby.”

But if you do want to make money online, then all you have to do is pay the temporarily discounted price of $97.95. For this fee, you will receive 10 websites to begin, with the ability to add more free websites down the line. In addition you get sales tracking, 24/7 support, and other benefits and features not available to those who just wish to have a free website.

Is Home Website Builder Legit?

Home Website Builder is taking a successful, proven method of making money online – which is using a website either for affiliate marketing or selling products – and handling it in such a way that their customers are almost guaranteed to make no money. Let me explain.

Probably the best method of making money online is by monetizing a website, and you do this through selling products on the website or by referring your visitors to buy the products of someone else, and receiving a commission for that referral (affiliate marketing).

Home Website Builder is essentially offering you either method of making money online, but they are giving you pre-made, automated websites. And they are giving every single other customer who signs up for their program the exact same, pre-made, automated website they are giving you, and those people will be selling the same products you are.

In addition, they are advocating that you enter some of the hardest markets in which to make money online – weight loss, paid surveys, relationship advice? These areas are completely saturated with highly competitive, motivated, and experienced sellers. Competing in these markets would be difficult under the best of circumstances, but doing it with pre-made websites that are identical to many others out there? You have almost no hope of succeeding.

If you are interested in making money through affiliate marketing or online sales, you owe it to yourself to begin your own, unique website. Spending time pouring money and time into a website that is almost doomed from the beginning is not the best way to begin your online career.

Im from South Africa and have been looking at Home Website Builder and was very interested in it look at the success with anthony joined then saw the upsell so now waiting for my refund. now im looking at this and it seems the same principal. pay 57$ then still have to pay more and there is no garuntee other that your money back and it seems like thats also a problem. well looking at these reviews i dont think im gona continue it seems like a hoax and also paying in ZAR its converted by 9 so i have to pay 9X the amount of the initial cost. so im not prepared to try if there is no garuntee to get your money back even when you put 60 day money back and thats not even legit how can you have a system that works if you cant even give the money back. i will join only if you wave the upsell fees so that i can see if it works and if so then will happily pay the money monthly. so paul wilson if you can sort that i will happily pay 57$ and test it out. what you say to that

I just did some research on who owns my URL Domain Names at Home Web Site Builder through VeruSign.com. I was under the impression I owned the two Domain Names I paid too much for. Wrong !

The scam artists that charge even more than a good WebHosting, Domain Name Registar own it all. These creeps really take advantage of us newbe’s that had or still have no clue. I got the pro account and trying to fill in the content is not working properly. Then they make you look Micky Mouse by adding your an affiliate leaving other links going to their sites. Yes I can see where these websites are over saturated on the web with a lot of different Domain Name URL’s leading to them.

Well, there goe’s a wasted three hundred dollars and yes it’s past the 90 days by a week now. Free shipping though only on the rock they call the United Kingdom, England. WARNING: Do Not Use that Home WebSite Builder what ever you do. A waste of time and money. Get some knowledge first in what your doing.

i did try out,i paid 24.95 for registration fee and set up my account, then they said that i had to upgrade to pro for $57.00. i did that also, so i set up like 7 websites and am waiting for someone to come click and purchase the product but no one seems to be buying anything. almost 3 weeks gone and i was yet to make a dime from this and i have spent my hard earn money in it. i request a refund for my 2 monies invested in it and i got both back in about a week.
it could not be a scam but i think it’s not that worth it for me.think it’s better u really work for your money than sit around waiting for free money.smh

I am not satisfied with the service of home website builder. I invested a 24 USD for creating an account Home money package in home website builder. I completed product reviews also, but next step asking me money again for domain creation (its not specified earlier). I don’t have any money left for that, so all my efforts got waste. Please refund my money as soon as possible.

    Hello Aneesh,

I can confirm that you will need to set up a domain for each website that you create. This is the standard procedure whether the website is set up via Home Website Builder or not.

However, you can register a free sub-domain if you wish. This won’t cost you anything and you can register a sub-domain for every website you create.

    Thanks.

Don’t buy it is a rip off and their support is crap

I paid their ‘special’ price of $57 and logged in I found that it was just a basic site and I was at the lowest level and could not even access their special downloads as it was going to cost me more money to get the things they initially advertised

Then there was the registration etc

I contacted them a month since to find out exactly what I did get for my initial out lay as what I got was different from what they advertised

I can’t even provoke an answer from them and I accept I have lost my initial outlay but the lesson I have learned from this is worth the money I lost, so am accepting it and not asking for my money back, but I hope they choke on it

After reading all the other reviews I am surprised these people can live with themselves the fact is that if they were not so UNDERHANDED about their business I think they would get more customers

    Hi there,

I was about to buy this product, but I’ve been amazed reading the reviews.

It is incredible that ALL the reviews are negative, including the main one at the top of the page. Never saw such disaster.

With the exception of Robin Doughty’s review the rest of them are totally negative.

I really can’t believe it. My advise to the developers of the program would be:

    1) Clearly explain in the sales ad ALL the costs involved in the complete setup of the system, including ALL the upsales and hosting fees.
    2) The ad pretty seems a “push button and go”, and does not refer to the work that the users must perform to normally succeed. Explain this and you’ll be more believable and you’ll probably avoid further negative reviews and more sales.
    3) Explain which method will be used to get traffic into the sites.
    4) Explain which products are chosen to be promoted.

By the other hand, I appreciate the polite and professional answers that the claimants receive from you.

    Regards,

I am somewhat surprised at all the negative comment and money back requests regarding this programme.
I have three sites via Homewebsitebuilder. One is my own domain name and hosting and two are subdomains on HWB and are free hosting.
It is true that the products are already chosen for you and that the site templates are the same for everyone but surely if you don’t put anything in yourself you cannot really expect to make it online.

Some of you guys ARE pathetic. You bring nothing to my mind so vividly as a deer staring into car headlights at midnight. Most of you do, indeed, sound scammed. You sound as if you’ve scammed YOURSELVES into the situation you bemoan.

If you’re disabled and about to become homeless, than you’re not in a position to pay domain registration fees, web hosting or for an auto responder. With modest due diligence, you could learn that these are typical requirements to set up web sites. If you are not really strong in composition of American-sounding English, it will stick out like a sore thumb. You’ll need a writer at the very least. In the business of affiliate marketing, you’re going to need to write persuasive text and write it correctly. Fact: English is the currency of the internet. Not everyone on the planet can—or should be—in business for themselves. It’s not an equality thing.

But why do they make it SOUND as if anybody can do this? Why does a car salesman tell you you’re sitting in the best car made by anybody today? He/she is trying to SELL you something. Is this some kind of higher math equation?

I agree with you 100% on your last paragraph. The product targets the wrong demographic of job-seekers rather than aspiring entrepreneurs. This approach is doomed to fail. However good the product, it will be dragged down by the wrong sort of buyers, and they have wound themselves into a big hassle of conflict mediation and refunds.

You have the opportunity to put your own unique content on the homepage, to incorporate the keywords you would want to be ranked on Google for, and you can of course spend some of your time obtaining backlinks yourself instead of waiting for things to drop in your lap.
Overall I would say that this is a good format for the newbie struggling to construct a website to get on line quickly. The products are good, Proactol on the weight loss site for example being particularly well reviewed and popular. I do not score a 5 for this programme as I find the support not very forthcoming for technical inquiries and there is no access allowed to the admin panel of your website. I recommend that you ‘give it a go’.

    Hey guys,

    This is my story

I have registered my account by paying 25$ equal to 1300 Indian rupees. Later on I was asked to pay 35$ for hosting charges. So I had a doubt whether it was fake or something. So with the help of LIVE chat i have ordered for a refund. With in 10 working days I got all my 25$ money back. So I guess this looks like genuine online income scenario. If you want to risk 50$ then you can go for it. only the initial 25$ is refundable, 35$ hosting fees is not refundable that is to be noted.

    Dear Mr. Paul,

I am not going to comment on the validity or nonvalidty of this company but I should not have signed up for it and would like my money back. I don’t honestly believe in the products I am meant to review/promote and I didn’t realize this is what I was going to have to do when I signed up. There was nothing in what I read that said this is what I’d be doing. Moreover, I’ve paid about 150 USD to receive 24 hour advice, bla bla bla and yet no-one has actually contacted me. It might be that I’m doing something wrong, so I’m definitely not accusing you or your company of being at fault, but could you kindly help me get my money back? I tried to ask for my money back on “your system” and the “computer said” that I had to wait at least two weeks and listed a number of other arbitraries that were NOT stated to me when I signed up. What was stated/promoted to me was 100% GUARANTEE MONEY BACK (and none of this “but BEFORE we give you your money back you have to a, b, c, d, e). Anyway, could you please help me get my money back now as I am leaving for the coast in two weeks and won’t have internet connection to handle this while I am there. Thank you. Melissa

Your online support is Offline. all i get is an automatic ticket response. Please please can you assist me in cancellation. this is turning into a nightmare of an experience. Please can your contact center respond ASAP. I would hate to be billed for something that i do not require. I have considered your opportunity in good faith, i can only hope that the cancellation is carried out in the same manner.

I have cancelled my account (reneiipansoy@yahoo.com) in your site yesterday. I would not want to pay the monthly bill you are expecting from me. I know you are doing that for the web hosting fee but I am not interested anymore with your web hosting site and most especially the involuntary fees. Please do me a favorable and a positive response.

This is definitely not a site to trust!!! I only realized that much much later when I went back. Every Icon on the page directs you to only one page. After I realized this was a scam, I immediately wrote to help support providing them with the details and requesting them with the money back. A total of $ 122.87. Also, one point that I hadn’t realized at the time was that every page has a “GUARANTEE MONEY BACK” to gain the trust of the consumer but will keep making you buy products. Since the time I’ve been requesting them for the money back,I get an immediate response on another stupid mail to buy more products and nothing related to where they stand on the money back. STAY AWAY from this site.

I’ve googled how and everything but still.. I can’t! Until now actually. And my Subscription Level says: Free Trial so why must I pay Mr. Paul? I want to delete my account and please stop billing my credit card. I’m still a student so please. The site/system just don’t work for me.

I am another one of these people who received an article from a friend 1st
(though like many my ‘friend’ dident send it).
.. went to the site & signed up almost straight away.

I got as far as completing the 1st site, enrolling in the dedicated domain name service (incl.$10 a month to keep the site) & was just about to get the ‘Pro’ offer for $47.
3 times in a row it said my mastercard was not valid.. after reading this article Im now worried that:

    1) I maybe charged 3 times (i have very little money)
    2) that this service may not be what I hoped
    3) that my bankcard details are now in the hands of a company that Im not 100% certain about anymore.

.. to Paul Wilson (or anyone from the company) ..
Ive read your replies & Im willing to give u the benefit of the doubt, but ..
I live on disability benefit & went for this service because I desperately need to make some extra cash or I may become homeless soon (Im not looking for sympathy, its just a statement of fact).

Im sure this offer will appeal to many people in hard financial situations, so if this service is a scam your going to hurt a lot of people.. I only hope that the other people here are wrong.

My advice to anybody reading this is to not under any circumstance buy this product.

    You are wasting your money.

I asked for my money back after few days of use, which was enough for me to see that product does not work. They said could only get it back after at least 14 days…

What you are buying is a very limited amount of standard templates, that probably sadly hundreds of other people have also done promoting a very limited amount of products.

    It does not work.

Also I would like to see HWC to create customer blog link on their website so HWC customers can learn from each other.

Also would like to know who is behind the company HWC? Type of incorporation?, Date of Incorporation, Number of Employee’s, Full Office address, Phone / Fax?

I can see why it’s a good product for HWC to sell, because it’s all set up in a way that looks very attractive, but the fact is that it’s only attractive to HWC – and not you the consumer.

It’s attractive to HWC because presumably a lot of people are lured into buying their – and based on trust from what seems to be hacked email accounts / address books…..

I received their link from close friend who claim did absolute not seem me such mail.

So my only advice is: Beware of Home Web Site Builder – HWC.

I am so glad I looked up this company before spending any money on it. Yes, most of these home based websites are to good to be true. Some advice I can offer anyone reading this (oh how I wish I could get it all over the internet!)

1.) Always, always look up the companies name via internet before EVER deciding to invest money. It will usually show other hits telling you if the company is legit or a scam. If the advertisement doesn’t show a name at all unless you give all your info, don’t bother with it, its a scam.

2.) B.B.B Better Business Bureau. Check with the Better Business Bureau where you live. Some of these websites show they are BBB members, but aren’t. They will tell you how many complaints ANY COMPANY has gotten.

3.) IF IT’S TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, IT PROBABLY IS!

she was sent to a weekend training course.and all she does is trouble shooting customer issues ,just reading off her computer monitor for the solutions.. for example most calls are for ESPN ..people having problems with there dish connections it a great job research it . good luck

I have just purchased this package and am annoyed that they advertise it initially at a discounted rate and then you end up paying for domain, hosting (which you need to pay for every month) and a pro account to enable you to make money. It’s ridiculous and I can’t believe I have fallen for this scam. People, it may look tempting and easy but don’t fall for it like I have done and probably so many other people.

    Hello Karen Hills.

My name is Paul Wilson and I work for Home Website Builder.
Please be advised you can register a free domain. It is clearly stated that a personal domain will cost (because it always costs someone to purchase a domain). However, a sub-domain is free of charge, because this is a free service and no one has to pay for a sub-domain.

We offer a free 30 day web hosting trial. However after the trial, you will be charged $9.95 per month. This is because web hosting is not a free service either. Every single website on the internet today will have a web host. And every single person with a website will be paying for their web host.

Customers can’t expect to pay a small fee and get everything to make money. Sometimes you need to spend money to make money.

If you have any questions, please email us on support@homewebsitebuilder.com and we will happily help.

    Thanks,
    Paul Wilson.

What they don’t tell you is that once you pay the 19.95 to get started they keep asking for more money. When my husband and I told them that we did not work off credit cards Mr. Mitchell was like no problem we will help you get going if you will just send us 200.00 because you have to spend money to make money. And they do not give refunds unless you try and work the program for at least 14 days. What a bunch of scam artists.

Then the $67.95 is an optional upgrade for Home Website Builder. The $1.00 will be an international transaction charge from your bank as we sell nothing for $1.00. The other two charges are optional upgrades for Online Income Solution as well.
