Legitimate Online Survey Companies
Online surveys are a great opportunity for anyone in need of some extra money. Market research companies are willing to compensate you to complete these surveys because they believe that the information you provide them with will help them do better business for their target markets.
Below is a list of legitimate online surveys companies that are free to join and will reward you for giving them your opinions. Remember, you should never have to pay to join a survey website as all legitimate survey companies are free to join.
Here are some quick tips to making the most of online surveys…
These companies are looking for specific types of individuals to complete their surveys, so the more honest you are when completing your questionnaire, the more likely you are to receive appropriate surveys that you will be successful in completing.
Soon, you’ll start receiving survey invitations. Don’t take too long to accept these invitations as they may fill up without you. Once you’ve accepted a survey invitation, each individual survey will ask you to answer a few introductory questions to make sure that you are an ideal candidate for that particular survey.
Online paid surveys can pay anywhere between $1 and $10 on average, depending on the length of the survey, with some specialized surveys paying up to $25.
The more surveys that you are invited to, the more surveys you’ll be able to complete which results in more earnings for you. Not all survey companies will have surveys for you to do at all times so I recommend joining several survey companies in order to increase the number of surveys invitations you receive.

Before getting the legitimate Online companies, I had lots of scammer companies online. You have a big fee to get the job and you never get the job and if you get the job you are never paid.

ive started taking surveys online because i cant work right now because of my husbands rotating shift schedule…so working at home is all i can do so i can take care of my kids. I’ve signed up for every survey site that was mentioned, and have gotten a paycheck from all but 2 of them. Honestly, it takes some time before you make money, but if you work on 5 survey sites and make $2 a day from each site, that’s $60/ month from 5 sites which makes $300. i won’t lie, it can be frustrating at times, especially when you don’t qualify for alot, but when you get those checks, it is worth the time. And also, i use one of the microjobs, Amazon Mechanical Turk…and that is also a good site. I have not tried the others yet though. Toluna surveys even gave me a $100 gift card just for going to a doctors visit in my area about something they were researching. It wont make you LOTS of money, but it will give you that little bit of extra you need.
Good luck!!

Hi! Thank you so much for the details. I am in real need of money right now and this information is really good! I’ll try to sign-up for the recommended companies and of course be back here to post some feedback.

I signed up for one survey site and then was inundated with many others with more opportunities. However, the more i did the surveys, the more i realized this would take more than a month of surveys to make just three dollars. No way will i ever waist my time like that again. Don’t do it.

This is exactly what I’ve been looking for. I don’t want to pay a start up fee. My daughters both told me I don’t pay money to make money. I’m so excited that I finally found this. I can’t wait to get started.

I have been doing a lot of surveys and have run into a problem. I keep getting “invalid address”. It’s a real pain in the neck when I get all the way through a survey, then it ask for personal information and I’ve wasted all that time because I can’t complete it.
Can some one tell me what’s going on?

I am a member of about a dozen survey sites. I have a job where most of the time I don’t have much to do, and being single with no kids, I have time to take the surveys in the evenings as I watch TV. Last year between all the sites I made $2500. For the time spent it’s really not worth it, but it’s free time that I have to spare, why not make use of it? I’ve cashed in with paypal, amazon, and debit cards as the survey companies are moving away from checks. I’ve gotten a lot of “free” stuff over the last few years: Canon DSLR and 2 lenses, Queen sized memory foam mattress, pressure washer, 50″ plamsa TV have been my biggest purchases. I even did 75% of my Christmas shopping using money earned from surveys. Owning a 12 year old car I’ve used survey earnings to pay for a minor repair recently and 2 new tires. What helps me is doing this for 3 years I have learned the art of answering the screener questions.

I have been a member of Global Test Market for several years and have received three cheques from them but this time around I apprehend some malafide intent. It is true no one becomes wealthy doing surveys (I’m amazed at Sanjeev’s success)and it is just pocket money we earn from surveys. However, integrity of the survey company is what everone seeks and we tend to then be loyal to that company. This time around, however, I am told by GTM Team I have an “undeliverable address” and hence the cheque could not be delivered. I was asked to provide my correct address as per their ‘line format’. This hapapened once, then again a second time and I was warned that if a third attempt to reach my so called “undeliverable address” fails, my payment would be FORFEIGHTED. No proof of instructions to a bank or mailings are provided. It appears to me this is pre-planned in order to avoid payment. 1000 market points are redeemable = $50. So if 100 people globally are not paid due to an “undeliverable address”, the Company gets to save $5000. Wow GTM !! Good ploy.

My favorite survey site is Pinecone Research. It won’t earn you a ton, but anytime you do a survey they send you a $3 check. There’s usually a survey available every couple of weeks, and they send it to your email, so no checking websites for it. I don’t know how often they accept new people, but I got lucky at some point and got in. It’s always nice to open the mailbox and find a check. I recently deposited 5 checks at once, which came in a little over a month’s time, and have 2 more ready to be deposited now.
At the end of the surveys it always asks if I agree to terms if they decide to send me the products to test out, but I haven’t received anything so far in my nearly a year with them, so I don’t know how often that happens.

Brad says:

InboxDollars…The minimum amount to cash out is $30, & they will send you a check. It takes about a month for you to get it, but it will come. Free to join; $5 for signing up; 2¢ for each paid email read; up to 5¢ a day for paid searches through their site; surveys pay 50¢ or more. You can also make money from referring friends…10% of whatever they make. The real money here is in the offers. Sign up for all of the free offers & survey offers. Sign up for as many trial offers as you can, but make sure that you cancel out before the trial period is over, or you’ll be stuck for some money. You’re not going to get rich by any means, but if you need a little extra money from time to time, then check it out. I’ve never had a problem getting paid by them.

I signed up for many surveys, but I find the best ones are MySurvey,
springboardamerica, globalopinionpanel, zoompanel, yougov, harrispoll,
Also, you might want to try inbox dollars and send earnings. these two sites pay 2 cents for every e-mail read. It quickly adds up as they send numerous e-mails a day. They also give you money for using coupons, responding to the e-mail offers etc.

Hi! For a couple of years ago I joined a panel/group run by Colgate. They did pay well, but after a year they closed the project. I think I was recruited to this panel by Surveysavvy.
Today I am only a member of one panel (Triaba), but I have testet many panels. I prefere panels that pay by Paypal and where the limit for a payout is low.

I’ve signed up for Survey Savvy which is genuine and one of the best paid survey website around 2 months back and have received 5 check’s till date for completing simple surveys !. Best thing about them is that they pay for each survey we complete and the amount is ready in our account in few days for its request, Site is very user friendly and there is no Joining fees

It’s been a while since I’ve been doing anything with Survey Savvy, but I used to like them a whole lot. I’ve received a few checks from them. I would have to say 1 check about every 5 to 8 months. And at one point in time, they used to send me special little incentives to keep me interested in taking surveys.
And even though I can’t remember the name of it, there was another I was with years back, don’t know if they still exist, but they paid for me to take surveys online and offline(by snail mail) and every month they sent me $2 bills just for participating. And even though it would take months to make up enough for a paycheck ($50 minimum), they never had issues with paying me. It’s hard to find survey companies like that anymore.

I joined survey savvy and completed all portrait surveys in order to better qualify for more surveys. But till date, I haven’t received even one survey invitation. Your claim of receiving 5 checks within 2 months doesn’t support my experience.

I understand what alot of you guys are saying. I’ve done my fair share of doing survey for …9 years and almost two years for focus groups. My advice is that if your going into surveys; go the website called survey police. I’ve been with them for ..four years and let me tell you, everyone on that site is those who have tried the survey company will give them a rating system and a review. Not only that, the website is associated with Better Business Bauer (bbb.com).
Just for those who have forgotten about applying for survey, here is a few tips for you.
If survey website ask you for your ssn, credit card; it is a scam.
If survey website as you for your family information, just not answer the question or put in fake information. They should be asking for that type of information. However there are some that will ask for it and send out family size product for you to try and review.
If survey website have clams that people are making over 100 dollars, they are a lie. The only site that I know that make that amount is those who are invited to restricted survey companies (large corporations/ business) would pay out in amazon vouchers. I was invited to music company survey site and little in a month, I have been making 200 amazon dollar and like an idiot, right around Christmas, I’ve spent the voucher for things.
Well that is all from me. Have a wonderful day everyone.
December 29th, 2011 at 9:50 am
I have done surveys on Opinion Outpost and have received payment from them, I haven’t put out any cash whatsoever. The payouts are small and they send you a live check, no need to provide any bank account info. If you have a lot of time to spend on the internet it’s a good way to make some extra chunk change.
December 19th, 2011 at 12:21 am
Just did NPDOR for a few days and it wasn’t worth it, especially not for the prizes you can redeem your points for. At 75 points for a 20 minute survey, it would take me almost 20 surveys for me to be able to redeem those points for a DVD of a mediocre movie. I’ll try the other ones.
December 4th, 2011 at 3:09 am
I have some more opinion to add, i have NOT come across $25, $50, $75, $90 survey. These are non existent. Even if there are, you DON’T expect to make those figure, agents or intermediaries (so called research companies) are making DEFINITELY NOT the survey-takers. Those Survey takers had said & LIED about making $15~$75 per survey – FAKE screen shots. Another kind of survey is “GIFT CARDS” or LAPTOPS, and other form of GIFTS, offer by BIG COMPANYs like WALMART, DELL computer etc, you EXPOSED ALL your personal details in a FORM which requires your telephone numbers without fail, and that is why most of us received many nuisance calls from 3rd party, somehow 3rd parties came to know your cellphone number, started calling endlessly. DON’T ever think these are free gifts, you have to participate in a TONS of offers, before they give you their gifts, this is so-called participations are required

I have signed up for a bunch of sites, is there a list of sites that are scams online because these paid surveys might be and does anyone know where to get free cell phones and free minutes for surveys ? in how do you collect your earnings when u make so much?
December 4th, 2011 at 2:45 am
Let me share my opinion with your readers, FREE survey agents never paid survey takers well. Survey agencies SKIM off the majority of the fund they got paid from BIG companys, and however they paid peanuts to survey takers. What is said is entirely different. Like today, i was given a survey to fill, the pay is only $1.25 but the time required for the survey is 50 minutes, so one’s hourly pay is only $1.36363636.. Is this peanut? Pay does NOT commensurate with time & effort, ’cause you have to read the survey questions very attentively, some time they said survey is 50minutes, most of the time, it take longer than 50. Survey takers also face with other risks, Survey questions are repetitive and and some time too personal, you are exposing much personal details, identity theft is highly likely to happen. Another risk is they start asking your demographics, and then they will tell you you are NOT qualified for the survey, but you have spent some (4~5 minutes) with 0 reward.Survey takers are at the suffering end. Hailey Gates has painted a ROSY picture, for whatever reason, i am NOT too sure, but i think she is being PAID from those agencies / companys.

I have been a member of so many survey companies so far (for years), and I chucked them all but Surveyhead and OnlyCashSurveys. OpinionOutpost did not work for me. I didn’t qualify after answering so many questions, a waste of time. I am debating chucking Surveyhead because another survey site that gets you to answer so many questions then they tell you that you did not qualify. However, I have earned $63.65 over about 2 years, and it helped get me. Their “Ipad sweepstakes” is just a waste of time. No money, I don’t even answer them though they only take a few minutes. If I haven’t won one within 2 years of doing about 150 of them, I am guessing that I am not going to win one. I stopped doing “points”. Too many to get anything. Takes forever. Just my opinion. Thanks GOD IS GOOD. Martha in TN

I found mypoints.com is a wonderful survey/email point system. With your points you can get gift cards for restaurants and shopping or actually go shopping on their site for different products you can get with your points.
I also belong to Valued Opinions, mysurvey.com, surveyspot.com, onlycashsurveys.com, globalsurveygroup.com, mindfieldonline.com, signaturesurveys.com, vindale.com, ncp(where you scan all your purchases and take some surveys for points towards gift cards, products, etc), as well as to other neilson point earners(a program to follow your internet activity-1 on computer and 1 on my cell phone which again gives you points for entries into sweepstakes and other stuff).
The surveys are of varying lengths and can seem repetetive but a lot are fun and/interesting and I have already gotten some gift cards to eat out and I am saving most of my points to get something I really want!!
It also gives me something to do around the home when I am temporarily out of work right now and you can only clean so much when there is only me and my husband!! And even if I get a job I can still do the surveys and read the emails for points/cash when i want to!!
Enjoy and have fun with them! I get really excited, especially since we only have 1 income right now, getting a gift card to eat out since we can’t normally do so!

Opinion Outpost is a trustworthy site. Be patient and if you a member for a longer time , you d see teh benefits and your chances of qualification increase dramatically. Their pay out style is excellent and the money gets credited immediately you are done with the survey.
One another great survey site is SurveyHead.com which is what i ended up after i signed up for some 15 survey sites. I unsubscribed all and i only am a member in surveyhead and opinion outpost now.
SurveyHead is very rewarding. You wont regret it.

Surveyspot blacklisted them because they were former members of surveyspot and they added that list to Opinion Outpost. Just a heads up for everyone.

I signed up for opinionoutpost.com and have started completing surveys. However so far I’ve completed 8 but when I view the dashboard I only see “total prize draw entries” and the “opionion points balance” is zero? Hoping Michelle can help me out here :-D! Is there a difference?
October 17th, 2011 at 10:17 pm
http://www.opinionoutpost.com/ is a legitimate paid survey website as well. I’ve received payment for completion of surveys on a few occasions now. As with any legit site, there are a lot of survey opportunities but you probably won’t qualify for more than maybe 1-3 out of 10 surveys offered, on average.
