Profit Web System Reviews – Legit or Scam?

Profit Web System
from 126 reviews Review It
Profit Web System

Profit Web System is a work at home opportunity currently being promoted by Katie Smith and Angela Bussio, and described on their website as “the biggest money making secret of 2012.”

Katie Smith and Angela Bussio are previously responsible for Home Profit Masters and the Profit Masters Academy, two other work at home opportunities that focused on link posting and affiliate marketing just like Profit Web System.

It is not uncommon for internet marketing training courses to repackage their information under a new title and through a new website; these courses tend to accumulate large numbers of negative reviews by customers who were unsuccessful with their training, which leads to the company needing a fresh start to keep up their sales.

The question that new customers must ask themselves is whether the negative reviews are due to the failings of the users, who are now simply venting their frustration, or are they due to the failings of the company?

What Profit Web System Promises

According to their website, anyone of any age and background can do this job from home with “no over head,” they can learn to do it in one afternoon, and they can begin earning money immediately with “no training.”

In addition, the website says that users can expect to earn an average of $15 per link they post which, coupled with the fast pace at which links can be posted, means that you can easily earn $375 per day.

Finally, if there is some reason you are unhappy with this system or are unable to make money with it, the sales page states there is a 2 month “Make Money or It’s Free” guarantee, meaning that if you cannot earn money in the first 60 days you can request a refund of the $97 cost of Profit Web System.

The Problems

Internet marketing is a legitimate way of earning money online and in some cases has led to people earning large sums of money, which is why it is such a popular opportunity.

Unfortunately, internet training programs tend to grossly misrepresent the difficulty of this business, in order to convince people to buy their product. And Profit Web System – just like Home Profit Masters and Profit Masters Academy – is guilty of severely misleading their customers.

First, no one is “paid to post links,” they are given a commission when their link results in a sale. Because of this, it is almost deceptive to tell their customers to expect a specific commission per link and to tell them that they can begin making money immediately.

Secondly, it is almost certainly untrue when they say their link posting opportunity has “no over head.” Overhead refers to the operating costs of a business, and internet marketing certainly has costs. Even if you are provided with a free website, which is often the case, there is the cost of hosting and maintenance, and often advertising costs.

Finally, even though the sales page of Profit Web System says they have a Money Back Guarantee, their Terms & Conditions doesn’t list any refund policy or any details on this guarantee. This means that there is no real policy, and therefore no real way for you to claim a refund if you should need one.

Update: This program is now being marketed under a new name, Web Fortune Masters by Angela Bussio.

If it is a good deal right now, it will still be a good deal a few hours from now, or the next day. They talk about working at home with top rated companies, but never say who the companies are. And when you try to exit the page, they always have a pop-up asking you if you are sure that you want to leave the page. I would say approach with extreme caution. It is better to resist the bait than to struggle on the hook as these scammers reel you in. Yes, I am painfully aware that there are start up costs when entering into any business venture, but the honest people will tell you that straight up and usually, if you do some research, you may find good services needed to start and run the business at a more affordable cost. A lot of crap they try to sell you such as virtual offices, virtual business cards, etc……could all be added on as your business grows and needs change.

I’m also reading all these comments and I also have to admit I also feel as stupid as Christine and others.I also feel for it, since I have been sick for almost a year and not able to return to my regular routines. I just called to cancel my $97.00 online purchase before the 1 month trial. They said I will have to wait until the 30-day predefined date in order to do so. I wonder if there is a way to report this and get my money back whenever I choose. I hope this is not a scam.

coincidence? I think not. I have been praying for something to come along that is better than my current employment. I came across the Angela Bussie program and read it all. I thought to myself that maybe this is the answer that God has lead me to. NOT! As i was ready to punch in the numbers for my credit card, my computer shut down I lost my place. I then decided after it did its thing to try to find the website and low and behold I come across this. I’m not going to do it as I feel strongly that that was my sign!

DO NOT FALL FOR THIS!!!! It is a scam and a rip off. I signed up just to check it out for $9.99 or whatever the exact amount was. After that I received 10 phone calls a day from several places all over the US. And now they have decided to steal my credit card number and use it to buy thing out in Utah. I will be suing everyone I can that is involved in this company.

I an so grateful to all of you for posting these reviews. I am retired and living on Social Security Disability which is very difficult. So I started to fill out the application for this work at home business but then chickened out before putting in my payment information. However, I had put in my phone # so I got a call right away. I never do this, but I went ahead and signed up for the program, then asked for the name of the company which led me to this site! I quickly called my credit card company who asked me to call them and ask them to cancel the charges. Or I could cancel my account and open a new one. I chose to call them and they were very nice and said it would take 3 – 5 days to reverse the charges. But I won’t feel secure until they actually do it!!!! Bless you all for confirming that little voice in my head that I temporarily ignored.

I did my homework about Profit Web Systems and thought it still might be a good thing and profitable for the summer. The salesman asked me how my credit was, if I had a savings and checking account and “You’ll agree with me that you have to spend money to make money, right?” He also asked me questions that would only ellicit a positive response from me. I know sales. He was slick. Once I realized that the slick salesman was not interested in helping me but in me helping him, I told him that it was not for me and we hung up. I have been harassed no fewer than 15 times since then with other slick salesmen who start asking me the same questions. I ask each to take my name off their list but they all HANG UP ON ME as I am speaking. They’re all smiles and business until they realize I won’t help them. I can’t get them to stop calling and have reported them to the BBB.

Hello All, yes I did make a purchase too excited about making some extra cash. I just made the purchase this morning and then starting reading all of these reviews and immediately call my credit card company to cancel. The credit card company was able to get someone on the phone name Galvin 888-682-7276 was the phone number he gave, giving his permission to cancel the transaction. I was really hoping this was a sure thing, but of course why should you have to pay to work from home, I feel stupid too for falling for it.

If this company was legit, why all the different numbers from all over the country?

When considering whether these work at home things are a scam or not, one must only ask themselves one question. If so much money is to be made by posting links and what not….why in the hell wouldn’t the people that are trying to scam you be using their own business model instead of trying to get you to do it>?? If these people were legit, they would simply hire a ton of people at 8 dollars an hour to sit around in their office doing nothing but posting links all day.. As to the person suggesting that people go to the site that offers work at home positions but first you must pay for training and background check..this is also a scam.. No reputable business is ever going to charge you for training!!

I was one of those who fell for this scam but after speaking to the Rep & then his Supervisor (he said he did not know the answer to my questions) it just sounded “fishy” so I called Customer Service and the gal there said I would have to try out the system for the full 30 days before getting a refund. I believe maybe that’s just another way to scam people out of their money is to have them wait past the 30-day trial period and then they can say you have waited too long (the refund is only good for 30 days) so you don’t get your money back :(

I did read the “Terms & Conditions, which said “no refunds.” It was only after I told the Customer Service gal that here in California we have a “Buyer’s Remorse Law” which allows you a refund if you cancel within 3 days of buying something and she then told me my refund would be coming within 3 to 5 days :)

Yes, DO YOUR HOMEWORK, LOOK UP THE SITE ON WEBSITES LIKE THIS ONE AND KNOW YOUR RIGHTS!! Also, in order for a business’s standing to be on the Better Business Bureau, the Company has to pay for it, unless the report is negative (I think)

God bless all of you who need work :)

So I am curious. Has any of the posters here actually tried the system to see if it works. Or are all the bad reviews here solely from people who were asked to pay money and afterwards decided it was a scam due to that. I’m a business owner now and my initial investment into that business was about 96,000.00. That was the cost of the truck. Not to mention overhead that cost well over 2k a week with fuel costs and such. I’m still trucking today and looking for an alternate revenue steam that might turn into something bigger with a bit of work. Maybe even something to get me off the road a bit more to get more time with my family.

Now as a business owner I realize monetary investment and time and effort are going to be needed to start a successful business. So…anyone here that has actually tried the system? Or just people thinking they are going to be able to get something for nothing and call it a scam if it asks for an investment.

    Thanks for any responses

I purchased this system to be able to post links on line and when I called I was told by 2 different reps that the 1st email I got not to respond to it was not them so I sent an email wanting to see cancel any subscriptions in mu name got an email back that it was from the same company,so I just cancelled the order all together because I was not sure how legit this was and they could not assure me of that so I am back to the drawing board for my search for real work at home jobs that I don’t have to pay money up front. Thank you for all the comments. I had my doubts about this company. No company even if it is a work from home job should never ask for money from you. Also I read on one of the comments that someone found another @ home company where they paid for the background check and training. That to me sounds fishy as the company should always pay for that, not the employee. 2 things I did was get a seperate e-mail for these things and I got a Google Voice phone# (this is free). Then they will not have your real phone# and you can log into the google account to see if they called or you can forward the calls to your phone.

I just bought Profit Web System last night. Im so confused because at first it said i only paid $9.95 for it but then another thing popped up saying click yes and blah blah blah and more things popped up telling me to buy things so now i dont even know how much i payed for the stupid thing. i literally got 10 minutes into the thing and i had enough. i had no idea what i was doing. it was all pop ups. so i called customer service and they were no help at all! i wanted to cancel the whole thing and get my money back. i figured i could because it has a money back guarantee and i just bought it 10 minutes ago so i thought no biggie. holy crap i dont even think the woman on the phone knew how to speak English. i was on the phone with her for over a half hour and maybe understood 20 words out of everything she said. and after all that she said i had to wait 30 days to get my money back. so my experience with profit web systems is definitely not a good one. i discourage people from buying it. i dont even know what im going to do at this point so i hope no one else puts themselves through this aggravation.

Call your credit card company and put a stop payment on it. If credit card company says they can’t, cancel your card. The hassle of advising your other accounts card is cancelled is better than finding out you authorized $1000.00 or more that could take you months to get back.

To anyone who is interested in a “work from home business” this is not it. This is a real scam. I am very disappointed in the entire process. I paid $49.95 just to be able to call in to activate the program. when I called in, I was told that I have to make a deposit of $399 to begin the coaching and training session for a total of $3-4000 to be paid back with my profits.

Now I have to wait 30 days to get my refund.

This program is very misrepresented and misleading. I would not advise anyone to invest in it.

Buyer Beware.. The only time you get paid is when someone clicks on your link and purchases product. This is an uphill battle.

I have however found 2 companies that offer work at home opportunities. They are not get rich quick schemes, but they do offer legitimate work at home opportunities. These companies offer Customer service positions from the comfort of your home.
www.alpine.com and www.arise.com – I found that Arise had the better opportunities for me.

The cons: Paying for a background check, CSP101 training and finally paying for training classes. This usually takes 3-6 weeks to complete.
However, once you successfully passed training, you start working immediately.

The pros: working from home, inbound calls (no cold calling ever), ongoing support, working for big companies as a contractor.

These are entry level positions that start around $8.45 + per hour with room for advancement. The positions are great for stay at home moms, military spouses, college students, or anyone wanting to make some extra cash as a part time job.

I have been doing a lot of research of the “profit web system” I stumbled over. After reading these reviews and the ones on the actual site I am even more confused. Half the people on here are talking about a start up fee of 7$ .. well the one I am looking at is not 7$. Also I saw post saying once they entered their email they started receiving phones calls almost right after. Well I entered my email over 24 hours ago and have not received anything other than 1 email telling me They noticed I was interested and wondering if I was planning on buying. Also I read a comment about how you should always read the “Terms and Conditions” I also read on the Better Business Bureau about how to always read it also to look for scams and hidden fee’s. Well I read the whole thing and yes it does talk about fee’s unmentioned but the only one it talk’s about is a 8.97 monthly fee. It mentions OPTIONAL things for exp: better tool bar, access to selling items online etc. for addition cost. One of the first things it say’s is how their are other “Profit Web System” business that they have nothing to do with. So is it possible this one is okay? One person had commented about how they couldn’t get themselves to take the time to learn so they got their money back. Please help as I am trying to figure out if this one is a scam or not and if there is any other way I can tell?

If you go to the site and act as if you are going to purchase it, but scroll all the way down to where it says “Terms and Conditions” & click on that link then scroll down to the part where it talks about “User Registration”, it states all of the charges you are going to be charged with and that you are solely responsible for everything. Yes, their site says “Triple Money Back Guarantee” but they can “guarantee” all they want, it’s when it’s in writing and on a contract that they don’t want to “guarantee” anything! Scam sites will always post fake comments saying “I just got my first check for $350 in a week! this thing really does work!” Yeah……..don’t believe what you always see, hear, or read on the Internet. Anyone can put anything on here and make it sound legit. I am NOT a victim of this site, but I was close to signing up until I read the Terms and Conditions and googled reviews about Profit Web Systems. Most people don’t read the small print before signing up for things like this. Here is a tip for everyone out there: IF ITS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, IT USUALLY IS. Nothing in life is given to those who sit on their ass all day doing absolutely nothing. Sure, it sounds awesome to have that kind of life style but only if you are a multi-billionaire. THEY have the money to blow away, but the working class such as myself, have no money to waste on crap sites like this. Fact of the matter is, don’t be lazy, get your ass up and go out there and get a job! If you want to get money then work! Simple as that! The only in-home “jobs” that are actually legit are Avon, Mary-Kay, Pampered Chef, Southern Living at Home, UpperCase Living, Longaberger Baskets, Creative Memories, etc. Do some research on multi level marketing companies. But do your homework! Some of them require little to significant financial investment upfront in materials and product. Your pretty much selling their products for them but making some sort of profit off of it. It is REAL. My sister has done it and has gotten paid by them for selling a few things, but after having to take care of a 3 year old and 1 year old, she has given up on it because she has no extra time for it anymore. Those kind of companies are good for mainly stay at home moms or dads, or if you want to make a little extra side income, then I suggest you sign onto companies such as the ones listed above. Otherwise, go get a damn job! Profit Web System…….AINT NO BODY GOT TIME FO DAT! :)

    *REMEMBER*
#1 RULE: NEVER GIVE OUT ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION TO ANY WEB SITE UNLESS IT IS WEBSITE PROTECTED (Bank websites & such)!!! KEEP YOUR (for those who are illiterate….it means social security number) SS#, BANK ACCOUNT AND ROUTING NUMBER TO YOURSELF, AND YOUR HOME ADDRESS, EMAIL ADDRESS, AND PHONE NUMBER!!!!!! I mean, unless you want random people calling you up offering stupid useless shit to you every day of the week, then go for it. More power to you! But for those who actually have common sense……..go out & reproduce! For you other idiots who believe this shit, please do us all a favor…..use a condom.

    ps-
if you got an opinion about what I just talked about then honestly, I should really tell you…..I DONT CARE. I am just writing this to give people a heads up about this site and to not fall victim for it or any other web site for that matter!

    :) Your welcome.

Disgusting pigs! How dare they! What tipped me off was the way they kept dropping the price each time i tried to navigate away from the page and the fact that they didn’t even take the time to change the year on their page in the advertisment from 2012 to 2013! Jackasses!

Jeri a, just close out that bank acct then they cannot get anymore of your $$$. No dummy here, people fall for it becuase they are desperate for money and the way this company has cbs, abc, target, walmart, and other reputable businesses posted all over their site, makes them look legit. I don’t know why all those companies don’t sue the hell out of them for associating them with a scam! Always do your homework first people! Doing your research after you’ve already bought into something is like shutting the barn door after the horse has already escaped – too late! It takes less time to google a company than it does to read thru their advertisement/application and sign up for their deal! Good luck everyone!

I am a senior citizen … I became stupid after my mid-sixtes, because I actually believed the reviewer, Angela Bussio, who is their promoter on her site. Their business advertising names are Katie Smith or Sally Brown in different ads attached to Profit Web Systems.

Call the Secret Service, FTC, or FBI in Utah … where they are based. Thousands of dollars were lost by individuals and the remainder of a 2 year web hosting fee requiring payment was later found to be running an illegial operation in that person’s name.

They have become a very big internet scam business, who just keep changing their names.

I simply clicked on their site address from Career Builder or Monster (I forget which one). I never gave any information to them as I was only looking/ reading up on who and what they were. Thankfully I researched it and got to here. But look what happened….

That very day, they called me! “Darrell” called and I asked how did he get my #? He said, “You gave it.” I told him I did not! He immediately HUNG UP! I called back and he wouldn’t pick up! He has caller ID, people. I called back the next day. He picked up and I reamed him for hanging up like he did. HE LAUGHED. I asked to speak to his supervisor and he said no. I asked why not and he replied he “was the supervisor.” I told him there was NO way anyone would ever hire and put in charge a guy who hangs up on people and answers the phone with literally, “Yeah?” and a very unprofessional, “Hello.” He laughed again.

I told him he must remove my # and never call again. He asked, “So you want me to remove your number and add it to the Do Not Call list?” I told him I already WAS on that list, so yes! HE ASKED ME THIS SAME QUESTION 8 TIMES IN A ROW, before saying, “Ok.” What the…!?! I told him I was reporting him to the Do Not Call Registry and to other businesses places. He laughed again.

As of tonight (Tues, 16th), I’ve had SIX unknown companies calling me- for a total of almost THIRTY calls!! I’ve reported them to the Do Not Call registry by filing complaints.

This is UNHEARD OF, people! I’ve been an office owner and a manager for decades and was simply looking for something else. These past few days have been irritating to say the least. I still want to know HOW they got my #!!!

I also just today signed up with this program today, however I feel differently than alot of these people do. I have participate in other online things and some have worked out while others have not. I anticipated all the extra fees (I have no money to upgrade or make such special purchases; I declined everything and just stuck with the basics although they wanted me to upgrade in everything. Once I eventually got to my site, I was quite impressed. Although many people would feel overwhelmed by all the information and the work that you have to put in to start generating income. Making money cost money, yes, I am on a tight budget like everyone else. However, this program gives you so many different ways to generate an income that if you put a lot of time in during the first month (while everything is still free with the free trial period that several different companies are giving you) there is an opportunity to master these programs so you can figure out how they work for you. This way by the time your trial period is over, you will have figured out which programs to keep and pay for and which ones to cancel. Nothing is ever free or easy ( don’t get me wrong I was hoping this was a little less complicated, but I see the actual potential) We are not making money by doing nothing as they advertise, should they be punished? yes they should, but they are not paying us, the other companies on the site advertizing and making us pay for there programs are paying us. This site is just a way to introduce us to those other companies and opportunities, lets focus on making money with them.

Check out www.ratracerebellion.com, www.Convergys.com, www.Sutherlandworkathome.com, and www.alpineacess.com to name a few real companies who pay you as a W2 employee. I know because I have worked for some of the companies before. You can work for Arise(www.arise.com&www.liveops.com)as contract workers under your business name you create. The companies above you can earn any where from $9.00-$15.00 hr+ as a W2 employee and 15,000-36,000+ as a contract worker. This online profit web system program is fake! Don’t waste your money on it, if you have try to get it back ASAP!Report to BBB if you got burned out of your money!

I called 855-247-3003 and was able to, after 20 minutes of argument, get 1/2 back. Apparently the company’s refund policy makes you try the product for 30 days. I looked up the web site after I bought the system and found nothing but scam sites and complaints.
Oh, and they will reimburse after 4-7 days. So, I will be pleasantly surprised if they actually keep their word on that.

I signed up for this and this is a scam! After I paid for it I had to set up another account if I wanted to have my own domain. Although the domain is advertised as a free, it’s not. (min cost $280) If you want to do the links, you need to set up a different account and guess what, That’s not free either.(min cost $100.00) When I called the customer help to Set up the “free” advertised accounts, the man on the phone told me “you are waisting my time and my company’s time unless you pay the $1600 to set up all of the accounts needed to run your own company full time, in this company there is no such thing as part time, it’s all or nothing. What you paid to start is nothing to me and I don’t have the time to help you”….. Now I’m sure you are thinking I was probably rude to the man, but I wasn’t. I was in shock of his treatment. I was unable to respond other than to say “wow” and I hung up. I have called back to get my money back so I hope they give it back. Or I’ll just call my bank and tell them to reverse it. Some people are so nasty. If you want to use this company good luck, but you better be ready for nasty service and to spend allot of money.

    HI EVeryone,
Thank you so much guys for passing on the comments. I was about to buy this product for my wife as she wants to find a job where she can work from home. But, from reading all the reviews, I feel that it is a scam. I thought that it was legitimate website, but I guess not. I actually read thru their terms and conditions, there is no policy where it mention about Refund after 2 months. Also, I found that there are various different packages and you get charge – $8 on a monthly basis. This is what I found from their terms and conditions –

The price of registration is a one time fee of $97 dollars. The registration fee will grant you 30 days of access to the education area and materials. After the initial 30 days of access and every 30 days thereafter, a membership fee of $8.78 will be charged to the user’s credit card that was used for the initial transaction for continued access.
After registration an optional Web builder is available for $77 dollars. The Web builder is a tool that builds a customizable e-commerce website quickly and easily.
An optional membership to DROPSHIP SUPPLY FLOOR is available for $47 dollars and it includes access to a database of dropshipping products that can easily be listed and sold.
An optional Profit Web System SEO Marketing Guide is available for a one time fee of $9.95 and is instantly available via download.

I guess it is a scam on what they are presenting and what is reality.

This was a total scam… I just got off the phone with these thieves because I notice an $8.78 charge on my card. I informed them that I cancelled back in January almost as soon as I started they informed me that there WAS NO WAY I CALLED BECAUSE IT WOULD ON THEIR COMPUTERS. After going back and forth with this woman on the phone she took of $8.78 but I noticed the same charge again my bank statement a day later. I called that number and she informed me that this was for MARCH’s payment. I asked why I am being charged for MARCH in the month of April she gave me some story that the March statement filed at the end of March.

I ask for a supervisor they would not put on the phone with someone in authority and she HUNG the phone up on me. I called back and spoke with another woman and she gave me the same line. WHATEVER YOU DO NOT TRUST THESE ONLINE SITES. I am going to pursue this because it is about the principle right now. But in the meantime don’t believe the hype of the online company’s just try to figure out how to create your own destiny. Internet marketing and sale it hit or miss so please is very careful. I am so upset I know there are a lot of errors in post but I am seeing RED right now. If any of you know of any good “legal” ways of getting back at these predators please share your knowledge. To do this, we have to report them to the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) at ftccomplaintassistant.gov. Once you’re at that website, click on the icon on the far right and proceed.

This is 100% scam of course! Why can’t these people get thrown in jail? It is so easy to see this is a scam, I don’t know how it is possible that the FTC hasn’t shut them down. I will give ANYONE $10,000 if they can show they made $1,000 after expenses from any kind of “system” being sold with this scam!

I was very unsure if this was an honest company so after reading the web page last night, I walked away. The following day when I was out from my home, a young man called me from SHS Solution supposively out of Dallas and told me that SHS is affilated with Profit Web System and he was going to give me a disount for filling out the form and not completing the transaction. I asked him over twenty questions about his company and Profit Websystem, but was still unsure of rather I should go through with it. One of the most important question I ask was …are you making more money working with SHS than Profit Web System? He said,”No” I then asked him why would you not be working for them if there is so much money you can make? The money that you are trying to help me make, why are’nt you making it for yourself? He then told be something that just did not make sense. I really started to pull away and was lead to give him my bank information. He hopefully only took 37.95 from my account, but then I came home and read this, and now feel foolish for not going with my first and second feeling. I feel that these internet scammers should be reported to attorneys and law suits need to be files. If there are anymore people who will like to pursue a law suit against this so call company, please lets begin. I will check my bank account tomorrow and have my account number change. I feel this is a big Scam Company that is stealing innocent struggling people money and need to be prosecuted.

Last summer, I was looking for a way to make extra money. I looked online and saw this web-base site and thought “interesting”. I signed up. However, within three pages into the signing up, I was asked to join this domain and that website to upgrade where someone would help me get my website going. I was asked to charge over $500 for a $49.95 trial. I cancelled everything in that bundle thinking EVERYTHING was cancelled. I kept getting charges of $8.78 on my credit card in month. This time I got three charges on the same date of $8.78. I called the number my credit card company gave me. I asked the lady on the other end about why am I getting charged for something I did not authorized. The lady said in a rude tone “Well, you have to call this number to deactivated.” It has been deactivated (that’s what she said).

This system is not what the sales people say it is. I asked three times if I needed a web site or domain? They said no. I asked specific questions about the “scams” reports I found online. They assured me of course that the reviews were based on other programs they offered. As it turns out, the reports were correct. After I paid for the system. I was sent to a learning center for a weeks worth of training. The first thing it says is to call the expert. He is trying to sell a package that helps you do better. I turned it down, he said I was a trial and error kind of person. Next step wanted me to get a $1895.00 free web page, but I had to buy domain site and they had one to offer. I called to cancel. They said they would help me get started. I ended up going to the same place as before and they said to SKIP the steps I was trying to do. Then I added a few links to a very, very simple web page that was stupid. Then I was told to advertise this page. This was exactly what I asked them if I had to do and they said no. It is a scam, I am getting my $37.95 back today. The customer service people are all foreign speaking people, very hard to understand, the other sales people are clear to understand English speaking people. I believe this is a true scam. Avoid.

So Here is the lowdown on what they’re really doing. After you invest the $97 in them and you begin the system they want u to drop another $3-$4000 into them to buy their products and set up your website. I said no I’m good I will just get my money back. I called them and they said I had to try it for 30 days before I could get a refund but they would refund half I told them to just keep and I canceled my card…but tons of weird numbers keep calling me and embarrassing me and my email is full of junk mail so not only did I loose my money I now have to delete my email and change my phone number so not worth it

I watched the Video with Miss Bussio and she looked sincere and came across legit… I guess so much for looks right. I read through the whole thinG with Katie Smith’s story and decided before coughing up the $97 bucks,I would google it to see if it’s legit and boy am I glad I did. Sorry that you all had lost $$ on this “deal”. I appreciate you all sharing your stories, because of what you shared here, I will keep my credit card in my wallet. THank you all for sharing. 100% misleading! Only five people out of 2000 actually earn money because they spend anywhere from approximately $200 to $500 at least just to buy the domain and hosting sites. Startup Specialists aren’t specialist at all! You have to qualify and be serious (spend lots of money) to even get the walk through help and only after you purchase domain and hosting packages….zero money back guarantee…they steal money from you using misleading and tricky words that can be defined any which way to their benefit and not have to give your money back…you pay the steps 1 & 2 which want to take more of your money to buy domin and hosting …you won’t have access to step 3 if you don’t spend more money. The guy I finally got to speak with asked me very personal and financial questions…he is trained to find out how much money I had to give them and how much he could get out of me. I felt like I was being interviewed for a major bank loan!!! Scam, Scam, Scam!! This guy said they actually only help five people out of 2000 people a week!!! Do the math. Minimum $50 you give them first thing if half price offer…that is $100,000 they steal a week and don’t refund to the five people a week who spend lots more on domain and hosting sites. Wonder how many and how much those who actually purchase these start up sites end up losing? First off, you will be buying products wholesale and then reselling retail like on eBay and other sites as such…..Profit Web Systems is definitely a web system scam!!!! DO NOT DO IT…all the web work at home offers are scams if you have to pay one penny upfront.

THIS IS A HUGE SCAM !!! After my credit card number was taken, an offer for extra help was given for an add’l $9.95. There was no “no thanks” button or way to get out of the $9.95 deal. I went back to the original offer to find an email and phone number. I called the number 4 times. I was kicked off in the middle of the conversation 3 times. The one time I was not kicked off, I asked for an immediate refund and was told she could refund the $9.95 (for which I never agreed to by refusing to click the acceptance button) and was then told I cannot cancel the program until I have tried the program for 30 days…when I argued, she hung up on me. I am certain in 30 days the phone number will be invalid. There will be no way to recover my money. Very unfortunate.

THIS IS A COMPLETE SCAM!!!!! DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BANK OR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION!!!! After paying $97 and going on the website it is a complete crock. There is nothing there to actually help you it just takes you to other points of the website to pay for different kinds of upgrades and asking for more money and more money. It also tells you to call to speak with one of their “specialists” who also asks for an investment, for me it was $300 but after reading other reviews, the amounts vary. Other people were looking for contact numbers, I have A few but good luck trying to get a refund. They are very smug about it and talk to you like shit when you ask for a refund.
Rhett Direct Line (“e-commerce support specialist” supposedly 801-770-1316
I also have Brock at 801-770-1329.
Questions regarding your order after they ripped you off 877-387-1585
Another number is one given to speak with a specialist 855-495-4161

I actually cancelled my bank card to avoid future charges from this scam. There was actually another charge that was charged on that card that I did not know about until speaking with my bank. So they actually charged the 97.00 and another for 27.00 which was denied by my bank.

DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY!!

I was so desperate to find a way to earn an income at home that I rushed off and used my credit card rather than researching ahead of time. I have been a caregiver to my elderly, blind father, who’s on a feeding tube, and I’m a mother of a 1 year old. Finding a flexible job right now is very difficult for me given my current situation. I read the comments to an article on this company and thought they were legitimate comments, so I signed up. After getting so many upsells popping up I returned back to the original article to post a comment and it didn’t accept my comment, it sent me an ordering screen. That’s when I noticed the comments to the article were fake too. I’m in the process of getting my money back and won’t let them of the hook until I do.

When you say “easy to get started with no cost” website is free, great, but you still have to pay for posting, url, advertising, then after you sign up, they ask you to get a jump start to join the VIP program. That’s where it all begins, you talk to a high pressure salesman to get you to pay a large amount of money, with no guarantee, wants to make you feel small by not saying “yes” to his program, then here comes the real boss and put pressure on you again asking for large amounts of money. There are percentages in just about anything and everything. I glad to hear someone in having success. I sure there are many varibles involved that utlimately influence the end results. What I have noticed in just about all the marketing opportunities/adventures there is always a small percentage of success. Not saying this is the case and not sure how many successful individuals there are, but I have not seen many successful comments on this link.

I would like to think everyone’s comments are based on “making a solid effort for success and the companies not living up to its words.” So to assume everyone’s comment is truthful, the bad out ways the good. For that reason, I’m out.

Here’s what you get when you buy the system: a log in to link after link after link of videos and advertisements to buy this, upgrade that, among dozens of other get-rich-quick schemes.

Here’s what you don’t get: a legit product stating the steps to go on line and start posting.

I read these reviews after the fact of signing up. Yes, they are operating as different companies.I checked them out with the BBB (under a different name when signing up, there was only two complains in the last year, and they were resolved). Thank God, my credit card was declined when making the purchase, because they told me the REAL company name. You bet I let them have it !!!!!!!! I am so glad my bank was smart enough to know to decline the transaction :) BEWARE, I was stupid enough to leave my phone number, and since then I have received at least 50 phone calls or more saying I expressed an interest in going back to school. So annoying, they must have some kind of deal going on with the schools. I am not one for writing reviews, but they have crossed the line in my book.

Rose Rose Rose, If that is really your name. I’m sure you are the owner of a competitor web site that also sells information. You are what us affiliates in the warrior forum call a leech. Meaning you leech of the backs of successful companies to boost your own companies reputation while you drag the others down! Shame on you in fact how dare you call something a scam if you haven’t even tried it for yourself.(if indeed you are a not a competitor of this company.)I have found these materials to be very helpful and educational to e-commerce marketing. Granted I have only been doing it for the past few months it has shown me a lot I would have never even known. I have also made a little bit of income so far with these lessons it just takes time and work ethic something you seem to lack. But yet sounds like your going to go spend money anyway on education. hmmmm exactly what this is right?

They have an “F” rating with the Better Business Bureau (BBB). They state that they have an “A” rating which is not true. Additionally, they have 12 complaints that are closed right now. I am sure that there will be even more complaints in the future. I am glad that I have not gotten involved. Usually if it sounds too good to be true it usually is too good to be true.

In my efforts to try and find a part-time job since I have some limitations due to health issues after reading up what I could find I signed up for ProfitWeb Systems, with a nagging thought that things just didn’t feel right.
Per the printed out form I did print it said I would receive an email within 2 hours with my login information. It’s been 2 days and I have yet to receive anything. My phone is ringing off the hook receiving calls from all over the U.S. but no messages are being left. I don’t answer numbers I don’t recognize.
I called the 1-877-387-1585 number given, after reading all the above reviews as well as checking with my bank that they have already withdrawn the money I authorized. The lady I spoke with, Angela X5067, said if I cancelled today I could only get a partial refund. When I brought up the 30 day guarantee she said that I had to wait at least 20 days (I swear she pulled that number out of her butt) before I could request the full refund. So I told her I would put it on my calendar to call back exactly 20 days from now and request my money back as I am not interested in nor will be interested in participating in their program. Knowing full well I won’t speak to her again I made sure I got her “name” and extention. Based on the above reviews I’m sick to my stomach that I didn’t find this page when I was looking the other night. At this point I’m getting scared to leave my house for fear that everyone only wants to scam money from me. Is anything legit anymore??

They called back today, THE LADY READ THE EXACT SAME THING OFF and I patiently waited for her to finish, then said “I received a call yesterday and said I was not interstates. So if you could please take me off you calling list, that`d be great.” She hung up before i could say great. I called back the number, got a man, told him I had just been called and hung up on, asked him to please stop calling, he said yes ma`m, I said thanks and hung up. Hi folks! I did purchase this system for $29.95.. made me wish I had quit the page a few more times to get it to $9.95!

That said I am going to keep the profit web system and here’s my review:

    1. Yes, they do try to take you for as much money as you are willing to fork over. Immediately after signing up I was given many other “offers” which directly contradict their website that says their system is all you need.

    2. I made up an alias email to sign up and glad I did! I was spammed constantly on this email with other offers, one from a guy that was quite arrogant and offensive. I did not sign up for additional offers.

    3. I then received a phone call from a rep saying I was being given a “free consultation” which was nothing more than another pitch to sell you more to help you be more “successful” — again contradicting their original offer. I politely told the guy I have been telemarketing for years and knew he was reading a script and I was not going to be buying anything else. Embarrassed he hung up.

    4. I called my “advisor” and told him I was not interested in getting a website but wanted to just post links. I could hear his disappointment. He told me you had to have a website to post links which is NOT TRUE! Later I discovered that Profit Web System gives you a link to post. So he lied.

    5. You are directed by their system to sign up for a website worth $1900 for FREE! Yipee! You do have to pay other smaller charges. I have a degree in info systems and I can tell you their websites are generated by a program not a person. I wanted to make one about one type of music and they loaded it up with country western articles which had nothing to do with it. Yea, right! When I tried to edit it using wordpress it would not delete headers. WordPress does require quite a learning curve and I did not have the time to invest in it. So from the site that built the website I requested a refund and got 75% of my money back.. the part that was refundable. They of course want to sell you all sorts of options. They do offer some good tutorials about affiliate marketing on the their website which are good. I’m glad i got my money back from the website builder. I then signed up with a more reputable company for a lot less money. If you are a new user with not much experience this would not work for you because to make changes you have to become a wordpress expert. not what I wanted.

    6. I did click on the offer twice so i could go back and print it out and was called constantly by a number with no message. WHen i called back the agent was trying to sell me the system, when I told her i already bought it she hung up. Not a sign of a good company.

So I would agree with other ratings they are not a quality company, just want to bleed you for as much as they can get you. BUT the profit web system itself does have some good info on affiliate marketing etc which is why i am keeping it.

I used the experience to help me do something I had been wanting to do which was to build a website about my passion music. They kind of forced my hand but I don’t regret that. I researched and found a much better provider whose cost for a year matched the cost of one month with the “prechosen” provider that profit web systems hooks you up with. I enclose the link here for people who want to research options .. it’s a very good website that reviews hosting providers so you can do your research and choose for yourself: http://webhostinggeeks.com/
P.S. I don’t get any referral fee from them. Just passing on what i found to be good.

I do believe you can make money on but you really have to spend time learning the different facets of it. You can probably do it for free. but if your pressed for time there is good info in profit web systems.

Updated on 3/17/13: I am still keeping the member learning center from profit web system as it has good info on it that will speed up your learning curve about making money on the web.

HOWEVER, since that time they charged my card again for a monthly fee. when i told them i would cancel they reversed the charge.

Now ANOTHER company got ahold of my info which could only have come from profitwebsystems because of the alias email i created when i signed up. this second company had all my info including credit card info and charged my account without my authorization. i contacted that company and got the charge reversed.

i then called profit web systems and had them remove my credit card from their account.

still i am keeping their system as i think it is a good one. it’s too bad they are not on the up and up when dealing with people. they have a good product but ruin the experience with all the added high pressure marketing and extra unauthorized charges.

Sometimes I want to believe that people is often being carried away by their desires, such as their illusions of living in a perfect and wonderful world filled with people willing to help you; rather then thinking they are just ignorant and lack one of the most important things that constitutes their essence… and that is perception.

Mr Big Mcgee, You are right it almost always takes money to make money and no one is a sucker for doing something to try to improve you life and try to become self employed. What sucks and who are the suckers are the people who create these sites with the intent to scam people out of their money, when some time individuals are spending their last, or even borrowing the money to start a site as a final hope effort to having something. To the people who do this,or work for a company knowing they are doing this, I would imagine you will go to hell!!! Also, Mcgee I agree, readers, when you read a reply from someone who says…”Oh it worked fine for me,” they are probably someone from the company hows job is to go in and put what sounds like a positive comment behind a comment that may sound negative to keep peoples hopes up…in hope of getting people to trust the product and get suckered into purchasing it. I suggest checking them out first to see reviews on them, to get some idea if them are real. I do believe it is possible that I have been a victim of a scam at this point!!! They show no real way I can see how many people may have purchased a product, they have messed up my site and will not fix it, I have been told three different time phrames of when I am suppost to be paid, I absolutely can not at any time get an answer from this so called corporate office, and all my very hard work has probably in vien. I wish anyone the best and hope you run into something that is real!

Profit Web Systems promises that you will be working with companies such as Walmart, Amazon, Target, Sony, EBay, and Best Buy doing Link Posting as a Link Replacement Specialist.

Anything that promises a home-based business for $49.95 and goes under the name of Profit Web Systems is a SCAM. They give the following Refund Policy REFUND POLICY and IRON CLAD 30-DAY MONEY BACK GUARANTEE Customers who feel that this system is not for them may cancel at any time. In order to be eligible for the IRON CLAD 30-DAY MONEY BACK GUARANTEE, the customer must have logged into the system, and attempted the program for the entire term of 30-Days. If they have not made at least the same amount of money that they initially invested after trying the program for 30 days, they may contact customer support to request their refund within 7 days of the expiration of their 30-day trial period. Failure to try the program for the minimum time frame will result in forfeiture of guarantee.

Once you are committed to this site and have paid the $49.95, you are then forwarded on to Profit Web Systems where you will be interviewed by a Senior Director for the program to find out what your goals are and your commitment to the business. They discuss 5 Points to Success and 5 Points to Business Launch. You listen to “The Opportunity” and then discuss the 5 Points to Success after they have given their approval based on your profile. It is at this point that Investment of $4985.00 is required to participate in the business.

Then you are transferred to the Member Learning Center and ultimately Internet Business Systems (www.ibsstart.com)) and IBS/Power Seller College which should also be noted is a SCAM. IBS Agreement is in part: you may cancel up to midnight of the third day in the business.

    The SCAM.
The Guarantee to get your refund back from Profit Web Systems of $49.95 requires that you participate in the business for 30 days before cancelling and requesting a refund of your money. IBS’s Agreement says you may cancel and get your $4985 back if you cancel within 3 days. Bottom line: If you participate in the business and then cancel after 30 days, you get your $49.95 back, but you lose the $4985. If you cancel in 3 days, you get the $4985 back but lose the $49.95. SCAM/SCAM/SCAM.

And once you are on their lists you can never get off of it. These companies and the people that operate them are scum and lack the ability to feel empathy for anybody. They are truly predatory. Unbelievable that big name people would endorse this hoax. Paid my $47.00 dollars, spent excruciating time being sccreened then the bomb, $12,000 to startup! I got the feeling this was the tip of the iceberg in expenses and bailed. Having no luck getting refund because no one will say they won’t refund my money so I can’t deny the charges with my credit card company. In this day and age it’s hard to believe people will run this kind of scam with desperate people trying to restore their income.

Don’t do it folks! I signed up for this thing because the ad basically says all it involves it placing ads for big corporations like Google. If you click thru enough pages you can get the price down to $47. The problem is it is much more complicated and you don’t find that out until you sign up. In reality you must eventually set up a web site and sell products. All this costs money. There is never any opportunity to simply post ads. I called them the same day I signed up and told them it was a scam. They said I had to at least try it for thirty days. On day thirty I called them back. In the meantime they had tried to scam another fee from me for a monthly charge. I got that taken care of but I was still out the $47. On Jan. 27 they sent me an email saying my account had been credited for the $47. To this day it has not posted. I’ve called them five times and each time got a different story. Today they told me that there is a credit showing on their end and they don’t care that it never got posted on my end. I have filed a dispute with my CC company so we’ll see where that goes. Stay far away from these frauds!

Yesterday morning I found their website and was inputting information. Half way through my senses got to me that something wasn’t right and I left the site. Since then I have had two phone calls letting me know that I didn’t finish the transaction and if I would like to sign up I would pay only $37.95. On the second call, I pressed the lady and said I wasn’t comfortable giving credit card info over the phone and if there was a secured site. She said there was, but I would pay $97. When I kept telling her I still wasn’t comfortable, she said she could get a supervisor to input the info. I don’t know what difference that makes as I’m still giving out info. The supervisor came on and sure didn’t sound like a supervisor. When I finally said I still wasn’t comfortable, she hung up on me. BEWARE! As good as this may sound, they will end up taking your money. The original operator’s name was Tanisha and the supervisor Tiffany Davis. The number today was (727) 431-0696 and yesterday it was (310) 975-8377. I also got a couple of other calls since yesterday that I didn’t recognize the number and didn’t pick up, but I’m pretty sure it was the same scam.

The owner of this Profit Web System business is Anthony Morrison. He works with his brother. I meet Anthony at the PMI Professional Marketing International Company seminars. PMI has seminars for people who sign up with Anthony at the first place. Then Anthony send his customers to PMI.

PMI charged me $13,000 to go to the seminars and to have a guy who used to call me every week to help me with my web site and how to advertise it. It was a lot of money I paid to PMI. Of course Anthony makes money from them too! This is an affiliate business where you need a website promoting products from other companies. Yes, you have to pay the web hosting fee, and also you have to pay the marketing expense in order to create links promoting other Companies products. When a customer click on your link and hopefully there is a sale, you get a commission from that company.

Anthony and his brother have made lots of money working on Internet and they created this business to teach other people, but it is not easy at all, because there are lots of competition on Internet, and also you have to create your own business (own web site) to do the legal registration in order to pay taxes. People do not make money immediately posting links. People do not make money posting links at all.

People get a commission when there is a sale when customers buy the product you are promoting. And this is what Anthony does not explain on his web site, and his potential customers think that his web site is a scam. I still receive emails from Anthony trying to get me into his business, but I know exactly what is an affiliate marketer.

Hope this help people to understand better what kind of business is really posting links.

Wow I am so glad I decided to google, “profitwebsystem.com review.” I watched this intriguing video of a woman who had 3 kids and she testified about how she wanted to be at home with her children and how she was skeptical about home business offers and explained how she ended up working at home having more time with her kids while making over 5k a month. So I was about to enter my contact info in the form and then I decided to google, “profitwebsystem.com” That’s how I found this site. I booked marked it for reference in the future.

I thank God for the internet. I notice that mostly all work at home offers seem to have the same theme, “Quick Money.” That is what I have noticed. Whether it’s an extremely long webpage with nothing but word hype or a video to sum it all up in the form of a testimony. It all seems like, “Just do this and that a few times and you will be making lots of money before you know it.” I am African American residing in Bradenton, FL and currently looking for work. I must admit it is a dream; one of hope in fact, to be able to work at home and make decent money to pay the bills and purchase necessities and have a little left over. Not having to worry about arriving to work late, getting fired or laid off. I have often dreamed of this and it truly fills my heart with hope.

Times are hard for a lot of people and it’s so sad when you have a person or people who would take advantage of others without regard for their present financial conditions or their well being. It’s so cruel and cold hearted to give you false hope only to be let down, disappointed and depressed because of lies to better your financial situation. No matter how you dress it up, a lie is a lie.

I really wish I would have seen this before I put up my $97.00. It would have saved me the money and the I told you so from my husband. I signed up and called them they said they were busy and a specialist would call me back in about 40 to 45 minutes. So I waited and an hour and a half later I called again. They said to wait a little longer and someone will call me. Within 5 minutes someone called me back and all he did was talk in circles and didn’t help me at all. Then he gave me this other phone number to call to get my stuff set up. I called the other number and it was an internet company that provided internet to people. They didn’t even give me a good number.

I paid the registration for $49.95 yesterday and they told me to call this no.1855-4954161 and somebody answered and his name is Rhett. He spelled his name for me but he didn’t say his last name. His telling about how to earn money and any kind of words to convince you and he told me that his going to give me a good recommendation to his Supervisor and they set time to call me back. To make the story short i talked to them today and they told me about the business, that you need to invest. They got the very strong convincing power and motivation that they’re going to hook you up, they told me that i need to pay them the initial deposit for the program in the amount of $300.00 and rest will go on financing because the business is worth $3000.00 and i need to pay $134.84/month for 24 months.

To make my story short i paid the $300 using my credit cards and they got all my information and they still asking my bank information to finish the procedure. I’m just skeptical and told them that i don’t know where did i put my check book, he cut off the conversation and he said that his going to call me tomorrow to get my bank information. Now i had this feeling that i been scam and google their company and i found out this review and read all the comments. I called my credit card company and i told them that i’ve been scammed and cancelled my card. Thank you guys i almost fell for their trap i hope and pray that these people will be punished for what their doing. God is so good because he didn’t allow me to fall on this trap. I just as recently as an hour ago gave my $97.00 to these people after reading that I could make money beginning today, all I had to do was call the phone number they gave me in an e-mail. The info that I read on their web site stated that I could post a link in as little as 4 minutes, which meant I could post ,5 links an hour and that I would be paid $15.00 per link, end of statement. When I called the number I was told to call so that I could get started “Anthony” greeted me and began right off the bat telling me about creating a website, etc., etc., etc. I told him I was not interested in building a website I just wanted to post links. He advised I would not make any money that way and he wanted me to be one of his success stories, which meant that I would have to shell out more money. Again, I told him that I just wanted to post links and he said that I would not be paid for just posting links, that I would be paid when there was a hit on the links. THIS IS NEVER STATED IN THE WEB SITE THAT ENTICES YOU TO SIGN UP. When I told Anthony this ,he indicated that he did not think I would be his success story because I was too combative, merely because I wanted to know why I was deceived from the very beginning. He then said he was a very busy man and would have to go, and, voila, that was the end of our conversation.

BEWARE, this is another money-making scheme, only the money is just to be made by the schemers.

They are a scam. They want to charge you for everything you do even the training. When you call to get your money back they tell you, that you have not attempted the program therefor they can only refund a portion. I agreed to get my portion back which was 30.00 (I payed them 97.00) they said it’d be between 3-5 business days(It has been 15 days and nothing) I call and when I complain about it they hang up on me. Unfortunately on their terms and conditions it says nothing about the money back guarantee so I lost my $97.00 that I could have used on my kids.

Also when you leave a comment on their website if it is not a positive comment they will not post it. I left one with my name and email saying how its a scam and i have not received my money back and they did not post it. But when I used my husbands name and email staying this is so awesome it really works it was posted right away

It’s a scam!!! Stay away don’t even try. They offered me the program for $47 and they still charged my credit card for $97. The link of the username and the password that they sent me didn’t even work. I couldn’t log in. I called the callcenter and these Idian folks hung up on me 3 times. It’s Not Misleading it’s a SCAM.

I did not complete their online application process, prefering to further investigate their company before giving them the $77 they were requesting. The next day I began receiving solicitation calls from unknown companies peddling work at home skeems, and even a go to school at home marketer. I registered my number on the “national do not call registry”. On the third day Profit Web Systems called me to say I could join their program for only $27, and when I said but how about all the money you got for selling my phone number to everybody and his brother, the lady hung up.

OMG, You have to fill out this form with ur name & phone number before u find out u pay to take one of their classes. BIG MISTAKE, they NEVER stop calling u even after u tell them ur not interested. Over 24 calls in 2 days and they are still calling. They had to change the number they were calling from just to get me to answer again! U will be sorry! I don’t know if it’s a scam or not, but I do know they will not leave u alone after telling them ur not interested!

Did not do, nor supply the services they promised without spending further large amounts of money to be trained. From $1,200 to $995 or more and many, many calls from ?? offering to finance the fees at the same time! The training is certainly not free, that you HAVE TO HAVE to be successful, as I was repeatedly told.

There is a monthly service fee of $8.78 taken from my checking for ?? services?? I am unaware as to what they are, since I have never received anything from their company.

There is NO REFUNDS for their promised refund ‘guarantee’. I hope to expose them in as many ways as possible.

Obviously there is a reason this company has changed it’s name 3 times…..

yes, I signed up for this program on october 11 and got so many phone calls of people trying to sell me the training, “that I needed” to work this program, from $1,200, $ 775, $950… and they all wanted to FINANCE the cost in monthly payments! I immediately got the feeling it is a scam because so many ph calls told me they sell my ph number to these companies. I am still trying to get a refund… AND there is charges for $8.78 from my bank acct. for monthly service fees… for what??! I do not suggest this program. I was unwilling to spend large amounts of money to see if it works! There is a reason they have to re-inventing their company name!

    Find another company!

I’m wondering the same thing. It sounds like it’s misleading but not a scam.
