Russ Dalbey Reviews – Legit or Scam?

Russ Dalbey runs the popular Americas Note Network home business opportunity. In the years prior to him becoming a cash note guru he earned his name as a successful real estate investor. These days most people know Russ Dalbey as the man behind the cash note training course, Winning in the Cash Flow Business.

America’s Note Network is a free site developed by Russ Dalbey as a place where members of his Winning in the cash flow Business training course can come to post or purchase promissory notes. America’s Note Network has been around for the past ten years and thanks to Russ Dalbey’s persistent infomercials it shall remain as one of the top cash note market places.

Through Russ Dalbey’s network you can participate in every part of this business opportunity. The training is provided through Winning in the Cash Flow Business and the infrastructure is available through America’s Note Network.

Russ Dalbey and his staff of motivated salesmen have made this business out to be a huge cash cow. In reality they make most of their money by selling their training products and convincing people to continually reinvest in more expensive educations services.

After purchasing Russ Dalbey’s course, his staff will begin calling you with offers of better mentoring products. In addition, past customers have reported that when they phoned customer support instead of assistance they got a sales pitch to buy more products. In my opinion this type of aggressive up-selling is unacceptable.

Also, there is a side to this business that Russ Dalbey won’t tell you about and that is the risk factor. There is a realistic chance that you could end up in financial trouble yourself while working the system.

Imagine if you paid off someone’s full settlement with loaned money and then were not able to procure a profitable deal for yourself, you would be stuck with the settlement and out cash money that you once had.

Just a few days ago we decided to give it another try. I tried to go on www.notenetwork.com. No such critter. Tried to call company, all phone numbers disconnected. Emails unsendable or not answered. I should have known, do you know i used to live in Arkansas, and I was always getting brochures and things from Russ, sign up, its easy, come to my classes, I got them every couple of weeks. Any who I moved across the ocean, I went home, thats where he found me, guess he wore me down, anyways, so I buy the dang thing and then all the calls about coming to classes getting coached, luckily I did not have anymore money to give, but they would call and call, and say well how much can you come up with, and can you use a credit card, my hubby would say, they are scamming you, make sure you check the better business and all that, but no, and yea, I ordered the Carlton sheets first, I did get my first home with that, so that was good, but man I am so tired of being cheated and lied and stolen from, especially with this economy, I just don’t know how I am going to make it. but i’ll keep pushin, . I have now purchased the bill vaughn intelli biz program and they are right, no thrills so I hope you are an reader, they say there is an audio, but it also has a lot of other info, so I have been throught it a couple of times but, its kinda hard to make heads or tails of it, so i have not gotten any where yet. but I’ll keep pushin forward. hopefully it will all turn out for the best we will see.

My name is Robert. Like others I allowed Russ Dalbey to take advantage of me. I put a lot of work into the business and an additional 1,000.00 for the protege’ course and I actually contacted ten sellers and a few buyers, but I was never able to close a deal. I think the sellers realized that Russ Dalbey was not to be trusted. I ran out of money for ads and just when I was going to try to renew my efforts I heard some stories about Russ Dalbey.

After investing some time investigating the rumors I found them to be true. I may still try to help people to post notes, but I will have to find a more trustworthy way to do this. Now I was informed that the Dalbey Inststute is bankrupt via a phone number obtained by the BBB website. From now on I will thorouhly investigate all internet “make money at home” businesses.

I worked for Russ Dalbey as one of those annoying sales agents that keep harassing people. I lasted two full weeks. It was a joke.

But I am also a screenwriter, and I came away with a great idea for a script. I will call it “Russ Dalbey’s Damn Thing” (though I may have to change the Dalbey name)

It’s sort of an urban romantic-comedy about a young guy who meets an attractive girl in classes training to work at Russ Dalbey’s Damn Thing. IT seems like love at first sight, until she gets promoted and then blows him off. After a long interlude the guy escapes her and Russ Dalbey’s Damn Thing, as later farmers and angry customers chase Dalbey down on the highway, all angry about Russ Dalbey’s Damn Thing.

The guy eventually meets back up with the girl later on, and asks her how things worked out eventually at Russ Dalbey’s Damn Thing, and of course she has to admit they didn’t. He looks back and realizes how fleeting this thin romance really was, and goes on with his life after Russ Dalbey’s Damn Thing, which is now a sour memory, but valuable life lesson. Like it?

I used to work for Russ Dalbey, what a mistake! First you come in to the parking lot and you see “The Dalbey Institute” It makes you think it is a place of learning. They make you wait for a “Manager” to greet you. Then you get introduced to “Stewart” He is the king of Scam training. Stewart is wearing a 1000$ suit and a gold rolex. It doen”t take long for you to realize, this is a scam all day long! The two-week training begins and then you are on the “Floor” Where all the cash is made! They give you a script and about 50 names on it. You then begin calling and calling and calling the same 50 people at least 7 or 8 times a day! When you finally get someone on the phone you turn it over to a “Closer” and get back on the phone and begin calling and calling…

My friend used to work for Dalbey and he made alot of money, but could not sleep at night because of all the people he ripped off. He finally quit because he felt so bad about scamming poor people. I actually used to work up the street from the Dalbey office and would always see those lying salepeople out in the parking lot smoking cigarettes. What a bunch of scumbags. Would love to be a fly on the wall when Russ Dalbey finally gets his judgement day.

I have to say something here. If you purchased this program thinking that there such a thing as EASY MONEY, This probaly not the first time you’ve bee suckerd. There is a real Ligit BIZ in the Seller Financed world of real estate. But you can’t count on Russ Dalbey or his company. It’s hard work and it’s not easy, but you can earn a good income. First you really should have an extensive real estate background along with finance. Don’t give up !! just educate yourself and read alot about the Business. I hope those of you that feel defeated can find it within yourself to try again and know that’s not easy, but it is a great business. DON”T BUY ANYTHING!! you don’t need it. There are plenty of resourses out there to make up any losses you have had. I wish you all the best of luck.

The industry is real, but there are some people out there that are just trying to make you pay $5,000 – $10,000. Due your own due diligence on the net before you buy. Check out FindingCashFlowNotes for some free info. They have a video series mini-course that is pretty good and cost $0.0 to watch! Gives you REAL insight to the industry.

Russ Dalbey and his workers are terrible!! My husband and I purchased his vague and fake product years ago. We realized we didn’t just have to find it, list it, and make money. Instead we had to pay over a thousand dollars else where to receive education from other educators to make anything. The money made overall in over 4 years of doing the business is less than 4,000. This is taken up with the mass marketing you must do, the 1,3000 training we had, and taxes which are taken out. In addition, since we made any money at all. Russ’s attorney was DESPERATE to use us as a success case! She deceived us, manipulated us, and tricked us into helping them and giving them several hours of our time for free. Now we are their slaves in something we do not even believe in. Horrible deceiving attorney and horrible people overall.

Russ Dalbey is a professional crook. His company does not live up to its promises to guide clients through the note purchasing process. Once they get your money, everyone disappears, phone numbers no longer work, and the on-line materials shut down. His company has stolen $30k from a woman with MS, $25K from an elderly gent who was trying to supplement his income and several other retirees. Russ is A RIPOFF ARTIST! And don’t think it is that easy to get your money back in fact its almost impossible since he hides behind the L.L.C (limited liability company). So he can continue to become rich while stealing money that it took honest hard working people years to build up. Way to go Russ you win the super dbag of the year award.

My husband wants to turn his back and walk away from every thing in our lives since I got us into this. The others that were in class are feeling the same terror in our lives we have ruined all of our dreams of working frome home and being debt free. for all the folks that were in my class 25k was the norm for us for this.

If you’re reading these reviews, then you have questions and doubts about this. I only wish that I had known about this website earlier. My husband and I were “suckered” into this scam by some fast-talking people at the Dalbey firm. Our advice is: DON’T DO THIS!!!! Don’t believe anything they tell you–nothing. We attended the 3-day boot camp just recently–June 13 – 15. On the second day of the “class”????? we simply asked to speak to someone about the way things were going and before we knew it a shuttle was waiting out front for us, we were informed that we would be checked out of the hotel immediately and they would be so “kind” as to change our flight reservations and get us out of there immediately (so we couldn’t converse with the other students). We were extremely unhappy with our experience and would advise anyone thinking about doing this — DON’T!!!!! The only people making money on this are Russ Dalbey and his group. Have a blessed day and be thankful you found out what a scam this is before it was too late!!!

These guys are real scam artists. My dad who is 85 ordered the $39 introduction material. After that these people started hounding him everyday and one of them named Josh called him and asked him if he understood all the material but while he was talking to him he asked him if he thought a education program would be of help and of course my dad said yes. He never authorized any kind of payment but on his next credit card statement he had been charged $10,000. My dad is hard of hearing and of course at 85 he does not understand or know how to use a computer so he had no idea of what they were doing. I had him notify the credit card company to dispute the charge but I am wondering if I should notify DFACS to report them for senior citizen abuse since he is clearly not able to understand all of this.

I was home on disability and heard about the program, ordered the materials for $40 then the calls started coming. Week after week after week trying to get me to get involved with some group that they try to make you believe that you were selected out of hundreds of people to get into the training group. Then I told the lady on the phone that I wasn’t purchasing anything so if she was trying to sell me something then we could end the call and she says oh no this is a once in a lifetime offer just for you at whatever you can give us.

So then she transfers me to another guy who was so rude it didn’t even make any sense because he was mad that I told him, I told the lady before transferring me to him that I wasn’t purchasing anything from them and he got hysterical telling me I wasted their time on the phone then said oh well you don’t have to pay today, we will just deduct it from your first closing and I said how will you deduct if from my first closing and he said oh well we have your credit card on file from when you ordered the materials and we can just go ahead right now and put a hold on your card for the amount and when you close on your first closing you will get your money back.

I said NO, you will not use my card for anything, I am not giving you authorization to take anything from my card and I’m not purchasing anything else from you all. Now every week another person is calling trying to get me into the same thing and I tell them look just like I told the last person to call me I’M NOT PURCHASING ANYTHING FROM YOU ALL AT ALL! I found it odd that they all of sudden calling for you to purchase more products and not just for $40. So I left it alone.

THEN I SAW AN INFOMERCIAL ABOUT IT AND DECIDED TO TRY IT MYSELF. UNFORTUNATELY I DID NOT TAKE INTO ACCOUNT THE HAVING TO GO TO THE COURTHOUSE TO LOOK UP NOTE HOLDERS. I JUST DON’T HAVE THE TIME FOR THAT.

THEN AFTER GOING OVER THE INSTRUCTION MANUALS AGAIN, I REALIZED THERE IS SUPPOSED TO BE A LETTER PROGRAM OF THEIRS, THAT CAN BE MAILED OUT TO POTENTIAL NOTE HOLDERS. I DID NOT BUY THAT PROGRAM. I’M NOT SURE WHY. I DO KNOW THAT I DON’T HAVE THE CAPITAL TO KEEP CHASING RAINBOWS THAT CAN’T BE CAUGHT. IF THIS PROGRAM IS SO SIMPLE AS RUSS SEEM TO INSIST THAT IT IS THEN WHY ISN’T HIS STAFF MORE HELPFUL. I AM TIRED OF NONSENSICAL BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES THAT JUST DON’T PAN OUT. I’M NOT SURE WHY SOMEONE IN AUTHORITY DON’T JUST STEP IN AND TELL THESE PEOPLE TO EITHER JUST OWN UP TO WHAT THEY ARE TELLING UP OR CLOSE UP SHOP

Hello everyone, I am greatful for you all sharing your experiences. It’s been about six years now, and throughout those years it seemed great at first. Nevertheless, the basic training staff was not very clear in walking me through the note business. Given the fact I had so many respectable questions as to the true structure of the business they referred me to the ”professional mentors”. Hello? The basic training staff were supposed to be professional mentors. They also tried to charge me $500 to $3000 dollars to start with the training. I didn’t have it and they told me they really couldn’t offer there services. A few years or less later I spoke with a up-line executive promised great mentoring. Believe me the cost was very expensive. Most of the comments people have made about disorderly customer service (salespeople) I have known to be true. It’s a good thing I didn’t have a credit card available. I would truly be in a huge mess. Thanks for sharing.

My Son In Law purchased this product in the hopes of making some money for his wife and new baby son. The product came in and his asked me to look it over. The first thing that stands out is the fact that YOU MUST have a broker dealer lic in order to sell notes, mortgages etc. It is illegal in all 50 states to sell notes without a broker dealer lic. Sad part is even if you were to get a lic it would still be impossible to be successful. The materials given are very vague and incomplete at best, and it does not explain anything. The “Support Line” is useless, and than the sales calls start. These crooks start calling you five times a day trying to sell you a dream. A dream that costs up to $10,000.00. They push and bully you into buying their sales program. Bottom line is this is a SCAM! My son in law was one of the lucky ones, only having lost $50.00. Which by the way he never got back. Russ Dalbey is a con artist who someday will be caught as a fraud in put in prison where he belongs. Don’t waste you hard earned money on this crap.

It was another $10,000 for the website they build for you and my friend went for it. It was supposedly turn-key…Turn-key without the website…the website would maximize prophets. They also supposedly gave you books full of “priceless” contacts that would work to get you funded…LIE, LIES and more LIES. The so-called experts were rude and condescending. NONE of them wanted to help and in fact…they treated you like you were bothering them. I have over 30 years of sales experience, so if I cannot make this work…no one can unless, of course, you are a con-artist too! This is a pretty slick one but KEEP your money! Why do you think they no longer have seminars in the US?? If they do, they are staying away from the places they previously had them…people would probably try to have them arrested. CON-artists every one of them and yes, there is a special place in hell for folks like this. They will get theirs though…

Signed up for information packet, was hassled nearly every day with high pressure sales to do additional training for high fees. I live in the city in which the classes are held but yet they still are “required” to charge me for hotel stays.

I cancelled within the 60 day time frame, and they are fighting me! I sent several emails, and several phone calles, yet they still deny I cancelled in time even though evidence is there. Turned this issue over to my credit card company and nearly 9 months later, I am still dealing with this.

    I cancelled services because:
    1. Lack of material substance
    2. Poor website
    3. Horrible IP address

My wife and I went to “bootcamp” which we paid $8,000.00. At the camp they tried to sell us an additional training course for an additional $10,000.00.

We have owned and run other businesses in the past and were successful with each.

Dalbey is a SCAM AND PRESSURE SELLS YOU TO A BUSINESS THAT WILL NOT SUCCEED. THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO SUCCEED IN THIS BUSINESS ARE THE PEOPLE WHO SELL THE SALES MATERIAL, ie Dalbey and others like him.

Why we did not think of checking on internet, we would be freed from this nightmare as I read of all the others. We are both seniors, myself 72, my husband 65, years working on heavy machinery in construction, never intending to retire either of us. Saw this TV show like everyone else. Conned by “Cindy” anyone know her? Bought tapes $39.95, brought books/CD $355.00 to be deducted if go to Workshop. Went to $8,000 (no $355.00 deducted)”Bootcamp” in Colorado.

Prior to lunch, taken out of LAST DAY before lunch, class barely started to meet when John King offered special “club” membership 2 day *$15,000 deal!! We NEVER signed anything but found this on our next credit card statement, now 4 mths later still in dispute with Chase with CC. These guys are so smooth Chase halfway believes them. We both worked all our life, never had debt, me a florist. We NEVER thought of checking on “Russ Dalbey Winning in the Cashflow”. We came to a special workshop of no more than 12 -15 instead it was 36! No “teaching” from this Russ Dalbey “in Boot Camp” as told! As teaching “what?..cold call telemarketing? and many people had called before!”

Teaching in class not clear, I was “lost” but no one to ask and if so, too many people and not enough time. How do we get our hard earned savings and borrowed money back? This company must be STOPPED, we went to “Classes” Nov 8,9,10. 2010 we are still disputing. We cant afford attorney but have Legal Aid am contacting them. Dalbeys is too confident, maybe backed by Attorneys? It is making us sick, try not to be. There must be help somewhere? We were to be “first” in So California, we were “just what they needed in this area,” continues excited friendly “Cindy” on phone. “Love to meet you out here” ; guess what she wasnt available at Workshop!!? This is all terrible fraud (look at all these above letters)..how clever they are, that Chase is halfway believing them? What can be done..this is America; protect the people! or “is it the land of crooks?” Sincerely P & JB Calfornia “Seniors robbed!’

Why would anyone give someone from an infomercial any money what-so-ever. I’m reading of people giving Dalbey $3000 up to $9000. Are you kidding me? I’m sorry, no one deserves to get scammed, and believe me this guy is going straight to hell, but come on, how can someone talk you into giving them that kind of money. How could an infomercial convince you to go to a boot camp and spend thousands of dollars. Making money is NEVER going to be that easy.

I just want to say ditto – it’s immorally dreadful and depraved. Several people have mentioned a class action lawsuit, but as our email addresses are not published, how can we contact one another? Has anyone gotten a promising response from an attorney? Because Russ Dalbey can afford the best shark in town, and he’s still in business after 18 years (or so he says) so I’m guessing his scam is technically “legal”. Still, there is no question that it is wrong. Has anyone found an attorney willing to take on this slime-mold organization?

I purchased the offer for $39.95 decided it was not for me called to return and their agent talked me into keeping and at least trying after all there was a 60 day guarantee. OK Course came – I began to read/study had some questions – but then today got a call – person told me I was a candidate for a mentor course I said I’m not spending any more $$ answer you won’t need to it will come out of future commissions. yea sure he wanted to put me in touch with Russ I said it wasn’t convenient presently could they call back in an hr.

in meantime I contacted a Title agency questioned her about a notefinder or notebuyer she hadn’t heard of those she suggested I check company on Google which I did and WOW am sure THANKFUL- when the co called back I was chicken — I didn’t answer — a few minutes later phone rang again again I didn’t answer Russ himself left a message encouraging me to call back – No way will I do that – no need to give them the opportunity to try to persuade me to continue. I’m finished with them THANKS to all of you who shared your negative experiencees. RETURN pkg??? perhaps I should just save the postage as it seems none of you have had good return results. By the way I called the Title Agency back and THANKED them also for the suggestion of checking on Google.

I fell victim to Russ Dalbey as well. I saw the infomercial in May of 2010 and bought the program for $139, which included the website. In June I got laid off from my job after 30 years and I thought this would be a good time to do the ‘note business’. Yes, they kept calling me and pushing different programs down my throat. Although I kept saying ‘no’, somehow I ended up spending over $ 8,000 with them. I did go to boot camp with the understanding that Dalbey guarantees a ‘note deal in the works’, which meant I would get the investment back I was making in the boot camp, so I actually had nothing to lose by spending this money.

When I went thru the boot camp, I and the other students were told a deal in the works just means you have made contact with a note holder and they gave you the info on the note. That is it. They acted like we were stupid for thinking they can actually guarantee us a finished note deal, although that’s how they had presented it on the phone.
I also found out at the boot camp that everybody pays a different amount of money for the same stuff (programs). It just depends on how much money they can get out of you.

While there, we were told we each would meet with a counselor who would make a plan with us on how to proceed with this business and be successful. Well, we did meet, but the plan was for us to spend more money. They wanted me to spend $12,000 more to be part of the “millionaire’s club”. At that point I almost got up and left. I should have.
I have worked this business dilligently for 7 months, I have spend a good amount of money on advertising, I have mailed out not only postcards but also newsletters, which cost quite a bit of money to print, I have spent many hours at the courthouse and online trying to find notes.

Let me say this, I am a firm believer that we reap what we sow, but this business is extremely difficult to do, it takes a lot of time and some money to make this work. I do believe you can make money in the note business, although I have not been so fortunate yet, but it also takes a lot of effort. It is certainly not as easy at 1, 2, 3, like Russ’ claims on the infomercial.

I agree with all of you that Russ makes his money selling the programs and his team is mostly rude and ruthless and very uncaring. They are very good at what they do. I was convinced I would not let them talk me into spending more than the initial investment, yet they dangled that carrot in front of me and I went for it.

I don’t think the note business is a scam, but I do think Russ is very deceitful and I believe his tactics are a scam. I certainly consider him a ‘scam artist’, preying on people’s desperation to make a living.

I will give this another month or so, if I do not make any money (believe me, it is not for lack of trying, I am probably working this harder than most people) I will give it up.
So if you buy into this, know it will take a considerable amount of time and work before you see any money coming in, if ever. If you need to make money soon, don’t bother buying this.

Good luck to all of you and I hope this has been helpful.

The response that I got was an immediate “free pitch” for the introductory program and in the same breath I was asked what credit card I wanted to use. I replied why do I need a credit card for something that is free. I was told that this was for the program. My next reply was you are going to have to convince me that this is a good deal. I am not easy to convince, but if this means anything to you, start convincing. At that point I was hung up on. A sure-fire clue that I use to identify a scam is when I am told “this is so easy to do.” I am not informed what this is. One thing is sure: To buy and sell real estate (other than your own private property)commercially, a real estate licence is required. Anyone that says different, is dead wrong.

As soon as I got the materials and made the first call to the network, the lady said the only way to really make money with the company was to give them $6000 and take a course where their professionals sat with you and walked you through the steps, guaranteeing you a sale. Then when I refused, I began getting numerous calls daily wanting money, money, money. No offers to help, no answers to my questions except you need to pay this money and take these courses. I totally agree! Run in the opposite direction away from this program!

The notes listing program is a good way to make some extra money especially in these hard times when we don’t know if we will have enough money to retire on. My boyfriend bought the package for $40 to see if he could make some money since he was laid off from his job over a year ago. He asked me to help him with the course material and I agreed. Since the package was ordered on my credit card, the sales team kept calling me to offer me one on one mentoring with Russ Dalbey. At first I was intrigued that the head of the business would take the time to give me (and 29 other individuals from my home area as I was told my the sales person) specialized training to insure that I succeeded with the program.

After a half hour on the phone, the guy still had not told me how much extra it would cost for this privilege, he just got more aggressive which I understand is a part of the sales tactic. He kept telling me that he does not care whether or not I had success with the program, It’s up to me but I would be losing a great opportunity which would be passed on to someone else. I told him that I cannot afford to pay for additional training materials or one on one training but he just wasn’t giving up. He finally switched over to “a $5000 investment in your future could get you all the money you will need for the rest of your life and you would not have to work again.” That was my queue to hang up the phone (best way to get rid of someone trying to rip you off).

That did not deter him though because he called back the following week continuing where he left off “last time we spoke I was telling you about the once in a lifetime opportunity……” and he went into his aggressive sales pitch about how he does not care if I succeed but I will only have myself to blame. I responded “I know I gave your company permission to contact me when I first purchased this package but since you are acting like a telemarketer I guess I will have to treat you like one. Please add me to your DO NOT CALL LIST. If you or anyone from your firm call me back I will report you to to the FTC.”

I don’t recall his response because I was still going on about contacting my lawyer and my plans to start recording conversations. Eventually I realized that he ended the phone session by hanging up and leaving me to talk to myself. I hope he went outside to take a break or have a smoke and to contemplate changing careers instead of dialing some other unsuspecting consumer to try to take away their hard earned money.

I have a relative who purchased the Russ Dalbey “program.” They followed everything to the letter and worked consistently throughout the process. However, unlike some of the people commenting here, the results were less than stellar.

Some people here have made comments to the effect of, and outright implying, that those who didn’t succeed in this program were merely because they didn’t try hard enough, or they simply did not put their “heart” into it. What a harsh thing to say to people whom they know NOTHING about . . .

If this program worked for you then fine. However, putting others down because they worked just as hard but didn’t see the same results only demonstrates to everyone here (and the rest of the world) what kind of person you really are. These people are apparently in the right “program” if this process has actually worked in their favor. These *people* (and I use the term loosely) should cease practicing their armchair psychiatry and stick to being the *everyday people* they apparently are.

In closing, I will always steer everyone clear of this so-called program by recommending they get a real job and doing an honest days work for an honest days pay. The pay may be less than you want but it will be an amount you can count on every other week without fail. You may even have to get a second job to make ends meet. But despite what good ol’ RB wants the world to think, there’s no such thing as easy money except for what you put into HIS pocket by participating in this alleged “program”.

Like everything else in this world, if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. The RB program is one such program that is, simply put, too good to be true. It puts money in RB’s pocket and *maybe* a few others’. But if you like working for nothing then by all means go for it.

    Cheers folks.

I can’t believe that I bought this rubbish from Dalbey. I lost my job in the recession and thought it would be a good idea … not that I even understood what it was about in the first place as the infomercial repeats the same words over and over. I figured with the 30 day money back guarantee, I would be okay. I had a miscarriage and ended up not trying this program within the 30 day money back period. If there is a class-action, you bet I will be joining it. I encourage everyone who got ripped off to keep an eye out for any class-action and GET INVOLVED if you got ripped off.

My Dad fell for Dalbey’s pitch. He struggles day to day living on his limited social security and raising a teenage grandson. In his desperation he fell for Dalbey’s sales pitch.

I got involved when he gave me information that sounded really fishy. I went into the web site to see what the cancellation policy was. It wasn’t on their site. I phoned Dalbey to check out what the real prices are (my dad was unaware of some of the prices). The operator I spoke to was really indignant, and said that I was standing in my Father’s way of making a fortune. I explained my Dad is a78 year old widower, and has a hard enough time holding a 2-3 day a week job down, and raising a teenage grandson.

This man could have cared less. He became very defensive to my questioning. I told him I wanted answers and it seemed as if he was hiding something. He finally admitted that it would cost my dad the grand total of 10,000.00 which would include a web site they would create for him I nearly became sick to my stomach. We tried to cancel with Dalbey. They wouldn’t return our calls.

I have written letters to no avail, each time I reopen the investigation with the credit card company Dalbey disputes it and the charges go back onto my Dad’s card. As of today he still owes $9,000.00. He can’t pay the interest on this card so the bill continues to escalate.

My Dad never went to Colorado, never stayed in their stupid hotel or received any training. He returned all materials and yet they still have a $9,000.00 charge on his credit card. $9,000.00 is $3,000.00 beyond the cost of the days he was supposed to be charged if he had actually gone. Apparently they were charging him a portion of the web site they were supposed to create for him. (He doesn’t even own a computer!!!!)

Their argument is that he should have canceled 30 days before the event, my response was you should have had the cancellation policy on your website, or been able to give me that information when I called. I am going to follow up with the Attorney General; however it sounds like that hasn’t helped some of you that have already filed a complaint with the Attorney General. I am really frustrated and angry that a company can hurt people to this extent.

I can only believe in my heart that they will reap some really bad karma!

I purchased basic package from Dalbey, and that very day signing in, I was bombarded with calls from their director and business manager, Talked me into the $10,000 charge for boot camp, tried to cancel it 2 days later because of upcoming medical problems concerning my husband, have not been successful. Also they put me in an Advanced Marketing Program, sent me program to use, never said there was a charge, but a charge appeared on my card. I returned a package, containing material they called “tools”, never took it off the post office counter, refused acceptance, was issued a return mailing slip, faxed it to Dalbey, (that was $7500) I have proof I returned , but they will not refund cause they cannot find it.

I tried the “attorney General” threat as well as Better Business Bureau threat, response was “Bring it on” !! They put charge on my card for a product without my permission, never asked me if I would agree to use it, It was called “Protege” had no idea what it was, it just magically appeared on my computer, there was no mention of a charge. I have since canceled the cards so they cannot charge, have registered a dispute for these charges, credit card companies have been very helpful. I signed no contract or document, everything was done by phone. I am fighting for removal of all charges.

I’ve noticed 70% of it are promises, motivational talks and scenario’s. I also have received the upsell calls and invitational postcards and I just tell them straight up, I am not buying a SINGLE thing until I see money made off this 29.95 program, and if I don’t see results within the 60 days timeframe. I am sending it back to get my 29.95 back. I understand that the 9.95 fed ex shipping was a lost, damm it. It does make me wonder? and somewhat doubtful of why they are calling me and sending postcards saying that I need more to spend more money for more training to make money, when in the beginning they told me it was as easy as 1 2 3 find em1 list em2 make money3 was all that I needed.

I did realize after reading the booklets that I am going to need at least 1000 stamps to mail to 500 private holder and 500 professional leads and maybe buy some newsletters from Russ site and buy 1000 postcards. So, I hope he have not spent my 29.95 on a bill because I am going to request for it back if I do not make money. I believe there are notes out there I just don’t want to have to find the note and then have find a buyer. So far I have not spent no other money on Russ program btw I did experience a little rudeness when I said no to the upsell. Don’t get me wrong if I make a few thousand from this program I will take his other courses. But anyway I will keep you all posted July 30, 2010 12:20 am

Yes, I would be interested in pursuing such an action. After purchasing Rapid Results on a July 4 “Special” and now reading these stories, I really feel like a sucker! bought initial course 5 years ago, and within days they called to sell me Protege, which seemed good, but in retrospect useless if you can’t make money. didn’t have any more time to pursue but a few years later bought Master Marketing – very poorly done. Like an idiot I did notnask for a refund. this time I will finally get smart. They say Russ will work with you until you get a deal -what they really mean is they will work your wallet. They are now into me total over $4000.

Since this company is into me for $9,000.00 with zero results and more importantly after reading all of your responses I have given it up and asked for a refund without the slightest interest from Dalbey. Since most of you have crossed State lines I wonder if we are looking at a Federal RICO act violations (Racketeering). I have been scammed before and the FBI was kind enough to arrest that one and put him in prison. My question is. How many of you would be interested in pursuing this type action? There may be thousands of others who we can contact.

This program is not only a rip-off it is ILLEGAL!!! Yes, that’s right…Illegal in all 50 states and most of the world. Here in the USA the program falls under the laws enacted by the securities exchange act of 1977 and regulated by the federal government under the Securities Exchange Commission. These “notes” are “securities” according to the SEC even if they are privately financed. Because you would be taking payment for introducing the seller to the buyer you are “acting” as a “broker-dealer”. If you participate in these activities and are not a registered broker-dealer, or an agent under a broker-dealer and are caught you may suffer 10 years in federal prison AND Millions of dollars in fines.

Russ & his team mention several times that you do not have to be a broker or retain any kind of licenses. He claims that when people ask you (should you decide to work the business) if you need a license that its an indicator that “they don’t understand the business and you will need to educate them”. The law is the law and this is a scam.

If you read the fine print on the 2nd or 3rd page of the books there is a legal disclaimer stating that YOU should check with local laws to see whether you need to register as a broker or obtain licensing. Which is truly funny, since, every state and locality is governed by FEDERAL law.

There is also a special disclaimer for Utah and I believe Wyoming. Do you know why? Because these states have outlawed similar scams in the past and are aggressive about keeping these types of scams out of their states penalizing companies like Russ’s with huge fines.

I spoke with an attorney as well as various agencies about this program and it cost me even more money on top of what Russ duped me for but this is what they said. Many agencies weren’t even aware that a program like this was going on but they were quick to point out that it is illegal and I should not continue unless I registerd as a broker-dealer ($5000), registered with a governing agency such as FIMRA ($5000) and happened to have $500,000 in a special bank account that I couldn’t touch in the event a deal went south I could use as insurance.

I’d love to start a class-action suit against this guy but that will take even more money, maybe in the not so distant future. For all those few who have actually made money on this program…I hope the SEC catches you. And Russ, I can only hope someone will file suit against you, if not me, so we can all take back what is ours and send you to federal prison.

Once they got my credit card number after ordering the initial package, it was off to the races. I went from owing $47 one day on my credit card to owing $4800 three days later and Russ’s salesman still wanted another $2800. I just did not read the internet site before I called them a second time about one of their courses. Had I done so I would not have gotten in trouble with them. The simple advice, stay far away from Russ Dalbey, he need to be put in prison to protect society.

I am a unemployed 40+ man who has been in sales for 20+ years,SELLING REAL PRODUCTS, and I received a call from one of their recruiters after posting my resume online, about their fabulous JOB opportunity.I went to their office in COLORADO, for a initial interview, with a early 20 something punk, and this is what I found..Nothing more than a telemarketing scam run by 18-25 yo coke heads.I could not believe the people I saw working there. One kid had a mohawk with tatoos covering his whole body, wearing a torn up tshirt and jeans.I saw many that looked like him. They have 80 kids in 2 x 2 cubicles that are doing nothing more than trying to upsell existing customers and get their money ANY WAY POSSIBLE.If you cant sell the cust. they pass it off to another guy that tries and so on.They have a flat screen TV with each kid listing their daily and weekly take.I saw on the screen several had 45k plus in sales. Please dont throw your hard earned money away on this crap….Speaking from experience this is a scam….

I am like so many people these days who have fallen on hard times and looking for a break or some sort of relief I was hoping to have found it in the “cash flow” business. Right now i am thanking God that he has given good sense not to fall for just anything because of desperation. NO MORE INFOMERCIALS for me, hard to know what to believe anymore. I guess you have to give to the man, he found a way of making money!! Too dam bad it’s by deceiving innocent people out of their hard earned money, like times aren’t bad enough

Always interesting to see the sour grapes that people have about a program that is legitimate. There are many people who made money with this program without making more investment. Yes, it’s true, there are more ways to make money, and he seems pushy, but so do most of the multi-level marketing programs “out there.”

Do not give sour grapes until you have actually put your time and energy into it to see what happens for you.

I too have purchased the starter program, for $40. When I received it I was so excited! I then read all the books and watched the cd’s and the got very confused! I even bought a lap top to do this program! I then spoke to my daughter, who by the way was a mortgage broker and is now a business (with one of the top 5 banks). She looked over the program and the first question she asked is how is he making his money?!! I had no answer. I do now, and I see what she was talking about! I get several e-mails a week from RDI stating “CALL US, NO COST TO YOU I WILL PAY THEM MYSELF” yea, right. You call and it’s a comeon. They tell you for a $1,000 (or more) you can join the VIP group and sit in on a class and they promise you will make a deal after that! When you call they already know if you have or have not made a deal yet. It has now been 7 months and STILL NOTHING!!! How he makes his money is getting you to buy into the VIP groups which cost thousands of dollars and I say NO WAY!!! My husband is a hard working OTR Truck Driver and I am disabled so our money is important to us! I have called for help in getting started and nothing unless I want to spend more money! He wants you to spend money to get a web site from him, well my sister owns her own web design business and she will do it for free f I so chose!!! He also wants you as I said to spend lots of money to join his rapi results club or a vip club, DO NOT DO IT PEOPLE!!!! If you p0urchaed this for a $40 investment then try on your own, that is what my husband and I are going to do, JUST SAY NO TO HIS PEOPLE!!! Besides that when you do call his people once you tell them you don’t have the money for whatever they become ver rude and talk down to you. If we don’t see something by the 1 year mark then even thought we only spent a small amount of money then we are going to file a complaint with BBB, State Attorney, and go to the channel 7 investigates. STAY AWAY FROM THIS MAN!!!!

I purchased the starter package for $40 and before the package even arrive, I was called 6 times to be part of their vip group and when I asked if it cost anything and they told me that I would be receiving the best training and mentoring and would be guaranteed to be making 3 to 5k a month. Right then I knew this was a scam like a bait and switch. When the package arrived I immediately returned it. Its been 3 weeks and still no refund. Every time I call all I get is a sales pitch. I am glad I did not spend more than I can afford to throw away. Russ is a total scam artist and needs to be in jail for taking money from people in need and are taking every avenue in trying to make a living. Don’t waste a penny or your time on this loser

Yes, there are lots of ways to find the notes to list, but why the hell list with Dalby when you can list them through a REAL real estate co? And how long does it take you to find those notes?

How much money are you willing to spend on trying to get people to sell their note to you?

I was told that I could have a “mentor” for $3,000.00. And the special deal I would get was that Russ Dalby would pay HALF of that, leaving me with $1,500.00 to pay. And then, after the “mentoring” saw complete, Russ Dalby Education would then re-imburse me the $1,500.00! Why the hell charge me in the first place?

If anyone spends money on this program to support his scam they are fools. And my grandmother always said: ” A fool and his money are easily parted!!! “. Should have listened to you grandma!

WOW!!!! And here I was thinking that I was the only person who was stupid enough to fall for this BS!!!. Yes I too have given the Russ Dalbey Executives $3500, but refused to be suckered out of $5000, more. When called to ask for the refund, I was insulted and talked to like a child. I had to hang up on the guy. You call back, and have to wait for their customer service manager to call you back. They tell you you can’t send back the first package that was $350.00 because you just purchased another one. Please if anyone is reading this, DO NOT GIVE THEM A DIME!!!!!! They don’t care if you are a single parent, disabled veteran or commotosed. If they can suck all the life out of you, they will do it. Yes I was invited out to the so call select few exclusive 3 day session for $5000.00. I knew once they got the $3200, and it wasn’t even 24 hours before they were calling to get another $5000.00, something definitely stank! I immediately sent both packets back. I am waiting to see how long it will take them to refund my money.

Paid start up package 39.95, took a week to arrive the next day received a call from Russ D. Company. First few minutes were very pleasant, Talked about what we do and how much money we made. Then we started asking questions about course, seemed like everything was directed towards getting help that would only cost us 2-5K more! Wow! I couldn’t believe it! We put councilor on loud speaker so my wife & I could listen together. I just kept on shacking my head. My wife said we had just got money from our 22 yr. old son, because we had no food and the councilor ask us to use credit cards! I said I might get laid off next week and have no money.

They kept going and I finally said no money no help! If this program works it shouldn’t cost no more. I had a bad gut feeling and when I feel pressured I know it’s a scam. We will send our package back and demand our money. You can’t unless your a broker or schooled investor with years of experience even come close to making this work with our economy. People are holding on to their money! Now is not the time to take a chance!!! Look around you! Our country is falling fast! Millions of people are on the streets. Don’t let a good story teller take your last dime. God is our only help!

If is seems to good to be true, most times it is. After
watching the infomercial and reading all of these comments,
I still decided to call the company with other questions.
The question were quite simple (what is the return ratio) and questions of that nature. I told the customer service
agent whose name was Nicole that I would think about it
and would make a decision. She was a bit pushy but in
the end gave me 2 websites to check out. I DON’T THINK I

RUN! I am not an idiot and consider myself a savvy consumer. I even attended an on site class in CO. Within one hour into the class, I saw right through the game. I waited until we took a short break and complained to the highest “chief” on site. Matter of fact, Russ himself was on site that day. I was told I could see him while the group got an “exclusive tour”…bull***. I was conned into staying, but refused to participate in the class. I demanded 1:1 tutoring that they advertised. They tried to tell me that they were short staffed, but would try. Well, they did find someone. I paid close to 20, 000 (4,000) of which was charged to my card w/o my permission. After 2 years, I continue to read the growing complaints. I have tried to get a refund, but blind leads. Oh, also watch out for a couple of folks (former students??) who claim to be “leading the way” to helping to get a class action lawsuit and provide links to file a claim. Only to find out that they are using their sob story (real or not I don’t know)as a new ploy to try to “recycle” suckers like me trying to fight back by claiming they can TEACH you the real note business.

RUN! File as many claims with attorneys that will listen and hope that a class action will result.

Good Luck to everyone in the same boat as me. Anyone else reading this that has not purchased Russ’ scam…don’t fall for it. No matter how bad your situation may be in this down economy…Russ will make you feel even worse.
