Zaken Corporation

The Zaken Corporation is a company that deals in the purchasing and selling of surplus goods from around the country.  The Zaken Corporation acts as a deal broker for these liquidations and invites you to act as a scout for these opportunities.

The idea is that The Zaken Corporation will provide you with the tools necessary to become an expert at this business.  You then will have to procure sample items that are to be liquidated and send them to The Zaken Corporation.

If they approve the deal they will connect your supplier with a purchaser.  Then you and Zaken split the difference on the profit made from the sale.  This sounds like a plausible business system if not for the failure on Zaken's part to deliver.

The Zaken Corporation has run into a lot of problems recently when their east coast division failed on a massive scale to provide effective customer service.  People have come up with a laundry list of complaints ranging from rude managers to ineffective training materials.  On top of that there is a class action lawsuit against Zaken and many complaints filed with the BBB.

These allegations and complaints have gotten so bad that The Zaken Corporation has begun working under the name of Quick Sell Liquidators.  Recently Tiran Zaken president of Zaken has taken it upon himself to restore his companies reputation.  He claims that all the customer service problems were the result of a vindictive employee.

However people have also felt betrayed by the promises made by the Zaken Corp.  For instance they say that they can show you how to make long distance calls for free.  In reality you pay for a manual that tells you to get a good long distance phone plan.

Also, they sell you a Lifetime Directory which is supposed to be a resource of consumer merchants.  Ideally you should be able to contact these vendors to seek out surplus goods but the directory is filled with outdated companies and wrong phone numbers.

You can almost feel bad For Tiran Zaken since many of the problems with his company were not his fault.  However they are still selling a business idea that does not have the proper infrastructure to bring you success.  At this point I would avoid business with The Zaken Corporation, and wait to see if they are committed to making the necessary changes.

I also sent in $164 to this company back in March '09 and decided not to go with it, I requested a refund in April '09, as soon as I realized that they were not what they claimed to be. I have yet to see my refund. Anyone have any ideas as to how to get my money back?

I read the comments and there seem to be alot more
negative ones than positive.I have spent $452.00 and committed to another $1197.00.I am going to pursue this a little further before I back out of the program.

My sister who is mentally disabled ordered this program and spent most of her monthly allowance on it. I have tried to get her money back and made numerous phone calls and as yet have had no luck getting a refund. They now claim that it was not returned in the 30 days even though nothing was mentioned about a deadline when I called. I did everything that was asked of me by the Zaken Corporation to return the product and yet I still have no refund. They don't keep their word.

I received a book from Zaken Corporation telling me how I can make money from my home by finding overstocked inventories, etc. from large companies. I called their number and joined, of course giving them my money. They said in the book no risk money back guarantee. Well, I called the person I had dealt with and then several people got on the phone as my coach. They began talking about investing $12,000, then perhaps my borrowing some money to get into this business. When I told them this was not discussed in the book and I was no longer interested they became very rude. I tried calling the first person I spoke to so I could have them credit my account because I did not want to join in. Another person got on the phone and was very rude to me and told me this company had nothing to do with the business described in the book and I got what I invested in it. This is a royal scam. I am still trying to get my money back. I caution anyone who wants to do business with Zaken Corporation as it is definitely a scam.

It cost me $164.00 to start with, the same as all the rest, but there was no info I could use. then sent $119.00 for directory which is worthless.I receive letters to get up to date info to make me scads of money which is crap. I am so glad I found this website to find out how bad this company is. I live on SS and will have to find a legitimate way to make a little extra. I am sure anyone who is in this position know what I mean. Put them out of business. Please!!!

Joined about 1 month ago. Have spent $660.00 but I'm glad I read this site before spending another $500 on some e-bay opportunity. Customer service have been good as well as the coaches. You need to get their "hot list" and narrow down the number of people you call to what the company wants. I had $800,000 in granite but the company doesn't want granite so the $$$ sign's in my eyes disappeared real quick but the coaches were honest with me and said they wouldn't take it. This is not a get rich quick system and 1 hour a day won't make you $8,000 but you need perseverance especially in this economy. If you read the instructions all you have to do is submit 5 Merchandise Analysis Forms within 2 years and you get your money back (plus an extra $100), if you don't get your money back submit a small claims suit and sue them for your loss. Most businesses I've talked with have been more than happy to talk with me (no slammed phones) if nothing else, there curious. This is a tough economy and perservance is the key. I'll hang with this till the end of 2009 and let you know how it works but I'm not spending any more money on any products.

I have invested well over $250 so far in getting started with Zaken in the last two years and have not made one sale. When I called them for information and help, they said to just buy more flyers and post cards.

Amazing what you find in a forum such as this. I have been associated with Zaken for about 3 months now. I have purchased everything from them, from the $149 kit, to the website, to the recent purchase of the Work Less...Earn more Profit Sharing Plan...So with all that, you could say I am out about $1300. To many, this would be a lot. But, with any investment, it takes time for a ROI. So many today want everything right now, and many expect to have it just fall in their laps, without any hard work. I don't care what you hear, or, what people may say. Hard-work is the key to success. I truly am sorry for the people who misguided their funds only to see themselves in a forum such as this . We all make decisions in our lives that sometimes don't always work out, but, does that stop us from making another bad decision. We will always make bad decisions. No one else can make them for us. What we do with the decisions is the key to success. We can easily put the blame on someone else and never accept the responsibility of our own actions. Sure we can blame Zaken for our misfortune. That is the easiest thing to do. We can scream it from the rooftops in hopes of someone having a listening ear. But, in reality, if we were to look at ourselves, we may not like what we see. We live in a society, where, fame, prosperity, is a visual of success. We are always bombarded with advertisements, claiming the next best thing, since toasted bread. We just need to differentiate truth from reality. We will always see scams. We will always be subjugated to some degree the influences of others. But, what we need to do, is look at what our motives are. In this case with Zaken, it is quite obvious. It has very little to do with getting out of a financial hole. It has more to do with greed, plain and simple. People want everything NOW. We live in a NOW...ME first society. I agree with what a lot have said in this forum, in that IF AND TRULY IF Zaken is a SCAM, that they should receive retribution for their crimes. That it shouldn't go unpunished. All in all, justice will be served. But, are we the judges when in reality, if we weren't greedy to some degree ourselves, there would be no need for this forum in the first place. It's like we say, for example that pornography is bad. If we didn't have the people looking at it, who really is the one at fault..the one who takes the picture, or the one that looks at it. In other words, with Zaken. Zaken just accentuates the desire in us that is already there in the first place (greed). If we hadn't had that desire, we really wouldn't have had a need for Zaken.

I was reading through a home business book when I came across this advertisement for this company. It claims it wants to expand to my area and that all I had to do was mail out their brochures to companies in my area. I would get a 50% profit from the "extracheap" merchandises the companies ordered; Not only that, I would be paid every time the companies ordered somthing. I thought "WOW THIS WAS SENT FROM GOD!" I even had an argument with my own husband to get his okay on sending the money to Zaken. We have been burned so many times with these work at home schemes and my family had to suffer for it every time. If it wasn't for God's grace and mercy we would not have made it through every time. Finally, he gave in he told me to look up the company on the internet, when I typed in Zaken Corporation I started to see all of the bad comments on Zaken. I had to apologize to my husband. I tell you God Is Sooo Good because he put these comments in my face so I can see that I was about to make a big mistake that would have cost me my marriage. It saddens me how so my scams are getting away with robbing people who work hard for the little change they get. We are living in a time where people care so much about money that they would even take from the elderly, children, and the poor people. To those who are scam victims I pray that God brings you through your tough time. GOD BLESS YOU!

have talked to several people at zaken found out that some of the employees that would not give me a refund have been let go ...

none of them will confirm lawsuits.....
was told that currently in order to get a refund i had to try to use the course that was provided. and with in a two year time frame if i didn't make a profit that my money would be refunded then...or ...
refunded if i make more than 1900 usd. , showing a profet a seperate check would come to me to show a refund.. this has been since may of 08'. have talked several times with a certain
operator/receptionist/rep. and have started a kindness trail.

and now accepts all my calls.

if in fact i am not successful with this program
in which i only have about 4hrs a week that i can spend on

my satisfaction of not getting a refund will come as a knowing that the five alliases that they constantly send mail to has left a dent in their postal mailing buget!

I posted this on another site - I thought it may be helpful.
After MUCH research on this company, I decided to give it a try (only because I knew that all thoes website that have bad info on Zaken only post thoes bad reviews to get you to buy their program). Anyway back to the point, I called up Zaken, paid $164 to become a member and once I recieved the course I called up a coach that was assigned my personal coach right away. They told me all I needed to do was call up some companies going out of business (and in our economy that was easy). So after two rejected samples finally I found a product that I thought they would really be intersted, so I mailed it in. My first deal was closed about three months ago, not only was my course refunded for $164 I made an extra $1, 450 :). So far I have closed 4 deals with Zaken and I dont planing on stoping or quiting this program. All I have to say is "THANKS ZAKEN!!!"

i got an offer stating that they would provide the products from their source and then i would find the buyer and then we would split the profits and the letter also stated that they would only need so many people in my area (i guess so as to hurry up and send your money, uhuh) it sounded tempting but i just happen to stop by my friends shop and use his computer and in see all this negative feedback from people that received this offer way before me and here i am feeling like hey look they chose me from all the people in this world they chose me aint i special! turns out that i am just like everybody else! except that after being burned so many times in the past i happened to check them out and mind you it sounded really good hope they can turn it around.

I paid $149.00 for the initial kit, (with ideas how to sell some of Zacken's Merchandice) But I never got a complete listing of the mercandice. but I would rite off the $149.00, and just write it off. but then I got a charge o$ $517.00 which I never authorised and never would for that amount. and also never received amything in return for the $517 I tried to call the number in the credit card statement, to complain and was told it was changed. I tried the new number given me and was told it was no longer in service It appears in every way this whole thing is a scam. more over it amounts to outright theft. as I was charged ($517 (unauthorized) and never was sent anything in return

Before I signed on to their program, I called to confirm that, as their literature stated, they would not charge my credit card until I had made money off their system and at the end of 30 days they charged my card. They advertisement was grossly conflicting and a big difference between the very small print and the really large print. I called and was told that I should have read the small print and to work the syatem. Every thing they have sent me since is a gymic to get additional money out of you with the latest being a pyramid club type of scheme. /Ed

Hi every one. I too pad $$$ and just sent more $$$ for a website. I do not know what to think about all that has been sead about Zaken. Some say it is working out for them and others say that it is not? Do I keep working with them and see how it goes or stop? I would like to think that I can make $$$ with them. But now it looks like I may not do so. All I can do is HOPE and PRAY.

Marci   San Bernardino, CA

I ordered the EBay marketing system. I had used EBay in the past and I had just opened up a store and was looking to expand my inventory. I thought it sounded good. It did too good to be true!

I ordered the system, ( I had 30 days to try it before they charged my account) and started it the first day I got it. Nothing happened, big suprise. I tried it for the month with no results.

There are only a few items and there are a ton of people trying to sell the exact same items .

Anyway, I called Zaken on the 8th to find out how to ship the program back to them, I had to leave a message. Called back two days later, again I had toleave a message. Called back two days later, on the 12th and finally got a hold of someone.

I was told that my card wasn't going to be charged until the 18th but that he would push back the date until the 25th so I wouldn't get charged. I went that day to the post office and mailed it back by priority mail like I was instructed. I got delivery confirmation for it.

Delivery confirmation showed that it was delivered on the 15th. I thought that I was safe. Never think that with Zaken!

My checking account was charged the fee on the 18th! Because I didn't have the money to cover it, like I knew I wouldn't we also got charged 3 overdraft fees.

I called Zaken on the 18th, was told that my account would be moved up to the first position in the refunds. Why wasn't it handeled as soon as they got it? And why was I charged on the 18th and not the 25th like I was promised?

I told them that I was holding them responsible for the overdraft fees that I incurred and wanted them to refund those fees as well.

The program fees were eventually reversed but the overdraft fees were not credited. So, I called back and rexplained the situation again and how it was their fault. I was told that he would check in to it, he took my name and number and was suppose to get back to me.

I didn't hear anything so I called again. This time I was told that this was a matter for upper management and that he would talk to upper management and get back to me.

Again, I didn't hear anything. I called back again, this time extreemly irate. Explained the situation again. Was told that the person who was handeling my account was no longer with the company and the request must have been lost when he left.

She told me that this was a case for upper management and she was not authorized to help me. I demanded to speak to her supervisor and was transferred. Guess what, I got her voice mail!

I left an angry message stating that I want the money that I am owed and that I require someone to contact me immediately or I will take further steps to collect my money.

That was an hour ago. We will see if they get a hold of me. I seriously doubt it.

Wow, am I glad I was using my head and decided to "google" this Tiran Zaken character! For the misguided people who think that most responders to these types of "businesses"(I use this term very loosely)and give them bad reviews is because they are simply looking for opportunities to make easy money without putting forth any effort or hard work,I will offer a bit of my background information.I worked my arse off for 6 yrs w/ a company that just up and downsized 35 employees, one day,me included. While I had this job, my family was surviving just fine; my husband also worked there, but on another shift,so we were fortunate not to pay childcare for our 4 children, due to exchanging them in the parking lot at shift change.Having worked there as long as I did, my income was about 50% more than the starting wages @ any other job, so I was in a bind, because I was going to be making 50% less and putting out massive amounts for daycare. Basically, I would be paying someone else to raise my kids, and still not be able to pay my bills.Fortunately,in my case the no wrker left-behind program was implemented and I was able to go to college and get paid an allowance. We were still making ends meet and we neede a new car,so on a Saturday we went and purchased a new car...Wednesday the company downsized again and my husband lost his job.The economy is such crap right now and we are here today 2 months behind on our car, house, and utility payments.I go to college full-time and then raising my kids when I am not at school,I'm no longer receiving my allowance and my husband is working at a job that pays $2.50/hr less.Needless to say, we were looking for something just like what the 22 pg letter from Zaken was offering.Something I could do in what little free time I had, which would help us to get our heads above water with our finances, so we were no longer going under, like a sinking ship.Though, we are so strapped for cash I was a hair's breadth of borrowing the $164 it would take to start this "business".I am very glad I was not duped into giving this company any money, and am sorry for those that did get scammed by this heartless band of thieves, known as Zaken Corp.In times as dire as these, which we are finding ourselves in all across our nation, it is very discouraging to find out that self-proclaimed "rich businessmen"are stealing money from those less fortunate than themselves, to pad their wallets. It's bunk and I sincerely hope that those involved with this particular scam get wht is coming to them. Karma is a bigger bitch than I could ever be. Good luck to all who posted on here with their future endeavors, and thank you for keeping me from making a mistake that i simply cannot afford to make.

This is a complete scam. I paid to join, and then I paid some more for some leads. These leads turn out to be BOGUS!!!! Bogus ! Bogus! When I called about the bad leads they said they would send me a new improved list and I never got it. When I would call the leads they were out of business, irritated owners that wanted nothing with what i was talking about. I was very faithful on calling every single lead on my package ( which i had to purchase for 100.00 ) When I finally go my new list of leads it was the same thing. I tried getting my money back, but it was just toooooo much work. This is bogus. and the guy getting a check, well, he is probably getting a check because he is as untrustworthy as the Zaken Corp!

I saw this page and then contacted Zaken about their response. I have received responses to both emails I have sent and again they have sent me the contact information below. I have already received my kit and I am quit excited, so I will give them the benefit of the doubt that they have gotten rid of the bad seeds. Also, not everyone is going to do business with everyone I don't care what company you are, you aren't going to make all of the people happy all of the time.

In their Full Money-Back Certificate, which is included with every associate’s business course, clearly and unambiguously states (in part), “Bearer understands that NOT every lead that is sent in to The Zaken Corporation will result in a sale. The current market, price of the item, as well as other factors ultimately determines whether the product will or will not sell”.

this guy almost convinced me to send him $148.00 of my hard earned money, when i decided to look his company up on the internet and found this..what a piece of $#!this guy is..the people that claimed to have made money are probably either related to him, work for him, or hell it could be him..scums like this guy tries to take advantage of good people who just wants to have a good future for their famlies..fact of the matter is people there is no substitute for hard work.. and if it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is.

I received the e-bay business offer and so far it seems to be fine. I think people may be unduly influenced not to try a new business by too many negative comments instead of it maybe actually working FOR them. I too have been burned by any number of unscrupulous companies, but sometimes you have to make the opportunity work for you.

i bought into the "zaken Plan", in fact it cost me $148.00 to do so. too bad no one told me it was scam. every time i tried to get the program going and generating me some cash i couldnt seem to figure out how too make it work. they always wanted more money for things i knew i didnt need. i hope zaken gets whats coming to them, hope they re happy they fooled a 20 year old into sending them their last $150. but dont cry for me, i now understand that there are bad people out there trying to take the last dollars of a boy kid just trying to do good things for themselves and their family. haha good luck with the lawsuit, if you need another person to collaborate with the prosecution just drop me an email. good luck to anyone else going through the same things.

I have recently purchased an enrollment package from ZAKEN CORPERATION at $164.00, with a promised of holding to the check, to cashed after 30 days. Before 3 weeks time that check was cashed, since I have already committed so I go ahead and order for a website at $295.00. After one month with the website I hardly had one ding of a sale. The fact that I fell to this sort of a scam, is that, I did not check it out, or do a little bit of research work about it. Please if you know of the class action law suite that is going on, ship the information to me, atleast to recoped a part of the money already spent if not all.

I too received the Zaken letter telling me that if I was one of the first 100 to reply, I would get the kit free and my credit card would not be charged until the 30 days were up. If I were not one of the 100 to reply quickly, I would receive a valuable bonus plan worth $129, and my money back. Look at it this way, even if they do everything they say they would, how do you know you will receive the profits they owe you. That's not a chance I'm willing to take. How bout you?

I was very hopeful when I got the letter in the mail about this business opportunity. It even said I didn't have to pay any up front costs. But remembering that this is a sad world we live in and many times these companies make it rich from the money the low man on the totem pole pays out, I thought it would be best to research the company first and see if anyone else has dealt with them. The very first link on my search engine brought me here and I would like to thank you for this. You have saved me lots of time, energy, and my husband's hard earned money since I am not working right now. Thank you so very much for shedding light on this company and helping out us little people that are really trying to just make it in life for our families.

I ordered quiksell in May 2008 and have sent in lots and lots of deals, with pics, samples were sent and etc. I never hear back from them, they are very slow if and when they do answer back. And they do not do as they claim. I paid $174 for quiksell kit and its a month and half later and no word on any deals or samples . I never hear back from them at all now. They keep samples and do not return them either. I am very disapointed and turned them in TO BBB. I think they should refund my money as well as pay me for my time and effort and the embarrasement they put me through. Its very bad when we have to tell merchants that we dont hear back after they sent samples. It cause us to also have a bad name. I'm Steaming mAD. If anyone knows of how to get into the class action lawsuit against them let me know.

Since I live about 1-hour drive away from their location in Thousand Oaks, Ca I thought I would drive on over to their location and drop off my application and check for $149. I was programing my GPS, but for some reason it wouldn't enter the address, so I came back to the house and got on the website to print out a directional map and luckily, I saw everybodies' comment about Zaken Corp! Wow, was I shocked and thankful! The price of gas, plus the 1-hour drive and $149! Thank God he was looking after me! Thanks everyone - let's get this guy out of business!

He said you cant loose, they will send you your money back. well we sent in 185 I think with fast delivery. A couple days later I decided to look into it on the internet. Boy was I surprised, I immediatly called my credit card company and talked to a fraud expert, he said that since I had faxed my sheet in that I should fax another letter saying i had cancelled my credit card and would not be purchasing anything at this time. but when I tried to fax it the fax would not go through. My mom and I wanted to start a home-based business in hopes of getting out of debt. But like everyone else, We have had no results and it is not because we haven't tried to make it work. Sometimes it is very hard to get through to Zaken office and get some help. They eventually get back to you. We have had some potential sales only to see them to dwindle away to nothing. Cause once you tell them to check Zaken out they read all the negative things on the internet about them and they back out of the deal. And I can't blame them. We have made at least 700 to 1000 phone calls and those are the ones that actually are businesses and not residences. We can't even make one deal much less 3 deals so we can get all the money we have invested back. It sounded so easy and we were willing to do what it takes. It is too bad Zaken is taking advantage of good people that just want to get ahead.

These people are so bad. I just called & ordered the kit 2.5 hrs ago. When my husband came home he looked it up on line and found out it was a scam. I then immediately called my credit card to cancel the supposedly 30 day free TRIAL before you get charged for the kit and they had already charged my card and said they got approval YESTERDAY!!! Now I have to wait for the charge to go thru and then dispute it. There is only one word for this Corporation SCUM!!

I bit, and even asked for the fast shipping, which I did not get. I also tried contacting some of the people they have with testimonials and none of them have telephones that they can be reached, or do not live in the towns listed.
I asked not to be charged to my credit card and they said to return the package, unopened, and I have had to do it at my own expense, which is a welllearned lesson.
Stay away from these folks, and any people that charge you to work for them. That's how they make their money I believe.

Remember Caveat Emptor. Buyer Beware. NEVER send money to anyone without first checking them out. Having said that, the BBB is not your only recourse when you have been skunked by someone like Zaken. Contact the Attorney General of your state and file a report. He is not only committing fraud over the internet, but interstate mail fraud by mailing misrepresented documents. Also, for Dominick J. Vietri, you did the job you were contracted to do. you have it in writing. you were not paid. That, too, is fraud. If you can prove in any case that they purchased materials from someone with whom you made contact and gave Zaken the name that, too, is fraud. In each case they can be made, legally, to pay you the commissions due you. In case of Ed, Ohio, you have a legitimate legal action against them. You, too, did your job, gave them the required information, they completed the transaction and defrauded you of your commission. Personally I wouldn't sit on my hands if someone owed me $70k - they would be in court so fast their head would spin. If you don't want to take legal action -- assign your claim to me -- I'll sue...:0)
I'm not a lawyer, but the law is the law. The ones with money are the ones who fight for what is theirs. go for it and good luck.

I purchased this program the first of last year(2007) I really could not give you anything GOOD to tell you about this company. I spend lots of money buying envelopes and paper from them and wound up buring them the other day. I worked my butt of getting a lots of companies that wanted to sell and sent them in like they said and I got NOTHING from them. I would call and ask why I had not heard from them about my products I had found for them and they always gave some excuse so needless to say I made $0000 and spend lost of time and money for this and them. I ask for a refund and I begain to think I was not even going to get anything back. They finally sent me the sign up fee but I lost money that I purchesed the other material from them. I could not recommend this company to anyone at all. POOR COMPANY. I worked it really hard but got nothing from them as to if they even contacted the companies that I refured them to. I still think they used some of them and did not let me know about it. Any way Do NOT recommend this company to NO ONE!!!!!!

I decided to take him (Zaken) up on his offer to talk to him directly .. yeah that aint gonna happen. So I decided to have some fun with one of his "expert advisors". I've been in sales (of all kinds) for over 30 years and this poor fool didn't have a chance.

He danced around questions an honest and open company would have gladly answered if they were truly trying to recruit new agents. I asked if there were going to be offers to buy other "advanced" programs once I sent him the sign up fee and he said "absolutely not".

I'd already decided this was a another scam, but it was nice to come in here and see my instincts are still sharp.

I have been working with Zaken for approx. 4 months now and Have made 2 deals so far. Both of which I have made over 6500 dollars. Every complaint on this page may be from all over the country...however, The few here that complain there are many making money. I put $149 into the package and about $100 into advertising for myself to find some sells....I never thought It would acutally work but sure enough, I recieved a check from Zaken after finding my first deal. From that Moment, I knew I had to find more deals. Some of these complaints are from people who just expect to sit at home and do nothing. Just make a few phone calls....but you have to do more. Put more effort into it. I found my second deal localy. I feel that one on one is very important in this business. If anybody is about to purchase this program......GOODLUCK!

Well Today I received this junk mail from a corp named Zaken and I thought to look up any thing on the web about them. Well am I glad i did. There seems to be a awful lot of dissatisfied folks out there across the U.S. I just wondered what was up with this and I can see lets say just in one week that this thing gets ahold of 1000 people who dream of big bucks and give them $149.00 thats $149,000 times 4 weeks is about $600,000 a month. not bad for a company that doesn't have a web site and can't answer a phone. Thanks for all the honest input hopefully more folks will check this out.
