Zaken Corporation

The Zaken Corporation is a company that deals in the purchasing and selling of surplus goods from around the country.  The Zaken Corporation acts as a deal broker for these liquidations and invites you to act as a scout for these opportunities.

The idea is that The Zaken Corporation will provide you with the tools necessary to become an expert at this business.  You then will have to procure sample items that are to be liquidated and send them to The Zaken Corporation.

If they approve the deal they will connect your supplier with a purchaser.  Then you and Zaken split the difference on the profit made from the sale.  This sounds like a plausible business system if not for the failure on Zaken's part to deliver.

The Zaken Corporation has run into a lot of problems recently when their east coast division failed on a massive scale to provide effective customer service.  People have come up with a laundry list of complaints ranging from rude managers to ineffective training materials.  On top of that there is a class action lawsuit against Zaken and many complaints filed with the BBB.

These allegations and complaints have gotten so bad that The Zaken Corporation has begun working under the name of Quick Sell Liquidators.  Recently Tiran Zaken president of Zaken has taken it upon himself to restore his companies reputation.  He claims that all the customer service problems were the result of a vindictive employee.

However people have also felt betrayed by the promises made by the Zaken Corp.  For instance they say that they can show you how to make long distance calls for free.  In reality you pay for a manual that tells you to get a good long distance phone plan.

Also, they sell you a Lifetime Directory which is supposed to be a resource of consumer merchants.  Ideally you should be able to contact these vendors to seek out surplus goods but the directory is filled with outdated companies and wrong phone numbers.

You can almost feel bad For Tiran Zaken since many of the problems with his company were not his fault.  However they are still selling a business idea that does not have the proper infrastructure to bring you success.  At this point I would avoid business with The Zaken Corporation, and wait to see if they are committed to making the necessary changes.

Recently I've been working with a tried and tested business opportunity that's really made a difference in my financial life. It's probably like nothing you've ever heard of before and it may surprise you to see just how easily it'll help you create personal wealth. If you're interested in learning more then Check it Out Here.

Best of Luck,
Steve Albright

I received the e-bay business offer and so far it seems to be fine. I think people may be unduly influenced not to try a new business by too many negative comments instead of it maybe actually working FOR them. I too have been burned by any number of unscrupulous companies, but sometimes you have to make the opportunity work for you.

i bought into the "zaken Plan", in fact it cost me $148.00 to do so. too bad no one told me it was scam. every time i tried to get the program going and generating me some cash i couldnt seem to figure out how too make it work. they always wanted more money for things i knew i didnt need. i hope zaken gets whats coming to them, hope they re happy they fooled a 20 year old into sending them their last $150. but dont cry for me, i now understand that there are bad people out there trying to take the last dollars of a boy kid just trying to do good things for themselves and their family. haha good luck with the lawsuit, if you need another person to collaborate with the prosecution just drop me an email. good luck to anyone else going through the same things.

I have recently purchased an enrollment package from ZAKEN CORPERATION at $164.00, with a promised of holding to the check, to cashed after 30 days. Before 3 weeks time that check was cashed, since I have already committed so I go ahead and order for a website at $295.00. After one month with the website I hardly had one ding of a sale. The fact that I fell to this sort of a scam, is that, I did not check it out, or do a little bit of research work about it. Please if you know of the class action law suite that is going on, ship the information to me, atleast to recoped a part of the money already spent if not all.

I too received the Zaken letter telling me that if I was one of the first 100 to reply, I would get the kit free and my credit card would not be charged until the 30 days were up. If I were not one of the 100 to reply quickly, I would receive a valuable bonus plan worth $129, and my money back. Look at it this way, even if they do everything they say they would, how do you know you will receive the profits they owe you. That's not a chance I'm willing to take. How bout you?

This tempting offer to make a quick buck had me aroused till I got to reading more about his plans. I've been out of work for the past 3 plus months and thought, hey maybe I could get on top of my bills in a short period of time. I've been looking at different opportunities hoping something would come thru. I'm glad I checked it out before I sent in my check. Thanks for letting me be aware of their business problems. I was very hopeful when I got the letter in the mail about this business opportunity. It even said I didn't have to pay any up front costs. But remembering that this is a sad world we live in and many times these companies make it rich from the money the low man on the totem pole pays out, I thought it would be best to research the company first and see if anyone else has dealt with them. The very first link on my search engine brought me here and I would like to thank you for this. You have saved me lots of time, energy, and my husband's hard earned money since I am not working right now. Thank you so very much for shedding light on this company and helping out us little people that are really trying to just make it in life for our families.

I ordered quiksell in May 2008 and have sent in lots and lots of deals, with pics, samples were sent and etc. I never hear back from them, they are very slow if and when they do answer back. And they do not do as they claim. I paid $174 for quiksell kit and its a month and half later and no word on any deals or samples . I never hear back from them at all now. They keep samples and do not return them either. I am very disapointed and turned them in TO BBB. I think they should refund my money as well as pay me for my time and effort and the embarrasement they put me through. Its very bad when we have to tell merchants that we dont hear back after they sent samples. It cause us to also have a bad name. I'm Steaming mAD. If anyone knows of how to get into the class action lawsuit against them let me know.

I was sitting, thinking, how nice it would be to make so extra money to pay off all my debts when the Zaken letter arrived. Believe it or not, I was just minutes away from making a fool of myself! Since I live about 1-hour drive away from their location in Thousand Oaks, Ca I thought I would drive on over to their location and drop off my application and check for $149. I was programing my GPS, but for some reason it wouldn't enter the address, so I came back to the house and got on the website to print out a directional map and luckily, I saw everybodies' comment about Zaken Corp! Wow, was I shocked and thankful! The price of gas, plus the 1-hour drive and $149! Thank God he was looking after me! Thanks everyone - let's get this guy out of business!

I was going to send for the directory, but after reading the testimonials from everyone, there are only 2 people who made any money.

I can't believe this is another scam. I had someone call me up and ask me how I was doing?

So what is that about. Also I agree with you when you say you called them and nobody bothered to call back. Another crook? I hope not.

I received the 14 page packet, automatically thinking it was a scam, I layed it down to be dicarded. My father read it and said he believed it to be true. He said you cant loose, they will send you your money back. well we sent in 185 I think with fast delivery. A couple days later I decided to look into it on the internet. Boy was I surprised, I immediatly called my credit card company and talked to a fraud expert, he said that since I had faxed my sheet in that I should fax another letter saying i had cancelled my credit card and would not be purchasing anything at this time. but when I tried to fax it the fax would not go through. My mom and I wanted to start a home-based business in hopes of getting out of debt. But like everyone else, We have had no results and it is not because we haven't tried to make it work. Sometimes it is very hard to get through to Zaken office and get some help. They eventually get back to you. We have had some potential sales only to see them to dwindle away to nothing. Cause once you tell them to check Zaken out they read all the negative things on the internet about them and they back out of the deal. And I can't blame them. We have made at least 700 to 1000 phone calls and those are the ones that actually are businesses and not residences. We can't even make one deal much less 3 deals so we can get all the money we have invested back. It sounded so easy and we were willing to do what it takes. It is too bad Zaken is taking advantage of good people that just want to get ahead.

These people are so bad. I just called & ordered the kit 2.5 hrs ago. When my husband came home he looked it up on line and found out it was a scam. I then immediately called my credit card to cancel the supposedly 30 day free TRIAL before you get charged for the kit and they had already charged my card and said they got approval YESTERDAY!!! Now I have to wait for the charge to go thru and then dispute it. There is only one word for this Corporation SCUM!!

I bit, and even asked for the fast shipping, which I did not get. I also tried contacting some of the people they have with testimonials and none of them have telephones that they can be reached, or do not live in the towns listed.
I asked not to be charged to my credit card and they said to return the package, unopened, and I have had to do it at my own expense, which is a welllearned lesson.
Stay away from these folks, and any people that charge you to work for them. That's how they make their money I believe.

Remember Caveat Emptor. Buyer Beware. NEVER send money to anyone without first checking them out. Having said that, the BBB is not your only recourse when you have been skunked by someone like Zaken. Contact the Attorney General of your state and file a report. He is not only committing fraud over the internet, but interstate mail fraud by mailing misrepresented documents. Also, for Dominick J. Vietri, you did the job you were contracted to do. you have it in writing. you were not paid. That, too, is fraud. If you can prove in any case that they purchased materials from someone with whom you made contact and gave Zaken the name that, too, is fraud. In each case they can be made, legally, to pay you the commissions due you. In case of Ed, Ohio, you have a legitimate legal action against them. You, too, did your job, gave them the required information, they completed the transaction and defrauded you of your commission. Personally I wouldn't sit on my hands if someone owed me... read more »

I decided to take him (Zaken) up on his offer to talk to him directly .. yeah that aint gonna happen. So I decided to have some fun with one of his "expert advisors". I've been in sales (of all kinds) for over 30 years and this poor fool didn't have a chance.

He danced around questions an honest and open company would have gladly answered if they were truly trying to recruit new agents. I asked if there were going to be offers to buy other "advanced" programs once I sent him the sign up fee and he said "absolutely not".

I'd already decided this was a another scam, but it was nice to come in here and see my instincts are still sharp.

I have been working with Zaken for approx. 4 months now and Have made 2 deals so far. Both of which I have made over 6500 dollars. Every complaint on this page may be from all over the country...however, The few here that complain there are many making money. I put $149 into the package and about $100 into advertising for myself to find some sells....I never thought It would acutally work but sure enough, I recieved a check from Zaken after finding my first deal. From that Moment, I knew I had to find more deals. Some of these complaints are from people who just expect to sit at home and do nothing. Just make a few phone calls....but you have to do more. Put more effort into it. I found my second deal localy. I feel that one on one is very important in this business. If anybody is about to purchase this program......GOODLUCK!

Well Today I received this junk mail from a corp named Zaken and I thought to look up any thing on the web about them. Well am I glad i did. There seems to be a awful lot of dissatisfied folks out there across the U.S. I just wondered what was up with this and I can see lets say just in one week that this thing gets ahold of 1000 people who dream of big bucks and give them $149.00 thats $149,000 times 4 weeks is about $600,000 a month. not bad for a company that doesn't have a web site and can't answer a phone. Thanks for all the honest input hopefully more folks will check this out.

Tiran Zaken made it all sound so wonderful. But what I paid $164 for was worth about $2 ink included. 1page of instruction and page after page of why I should spend more money. A 1-800 number that is never answered and they keep sending you the same offers to spend more money in case you over looked them in you highly overpriced start up kit. I think I will cancel my credit card just in case they try to charge me S&H. RUN if you receive anything from this monster.

I dont have a comment yet. I received this information in the mail and like some of you all I have been scammed also.I was just trying to be smarter then I was previously, because I have been out of work for two years this month and I have a friend that pays my bills for me , I dont have any extra money once I pay bills, I could get the money but its one thing to lose your own money on a scam but quite another to lose someone elses. So I;m glad I was able to find this page the BBB IS NEXT. tHANKS GUYS

i bought the program to for 149. i am suppose to get the kit any day now but haven't received it yet. i used my debit card and they haven't taken out the money yet, i think i will make sure my bank puts a cancellation on them if they try to take any out. its only been a week and zaken said he would not touch it until after a month and if i didnt make money he would give me 250 back just for trying his company. i think ill try it but i just wont make it possible for him to get any money from me untill i know whats up.

WARNING STAY AS FAR AWAY AS YOU CAN!

I lost everything trying to make something happen and get out of the hole only to find out that i was dealing with the compnay from hell! It's so easy to get them to answer or call you back if you are buying stuff but other than that you are on your own i never got any help! i should have done my research before paying for anything but now i lost and all i can do is prevent it from happening to it to you. Be aware they have different rip off courses and non of them work. Go to the BBB website and they have an F rating!

In one week I get to different letters from Zaken Corp. and Tiran Zaken. In thirst one they ask me to send the flyers to the different stores and I'll be paid for 50% of sold items. In another letter they are asking to call to the stories in bancrupcy (they provide me with there addresses and phones) and ask them about some merchandise for low prices.
Both of this letters came to me from the different addreses, but in both of them was the same return addres(where I need to send them money) and different phone numbers. I don't know why. Is it a scam?
I'm trying to found there web-site and I can't. I get one more question:
WHY THIS SO BIG COMPANY HAS NO WEBSITE?
And why so many people can't get money back as they told them, whose this phone #'s are, this peaple are good to take your mone and can't do nothing to return it to you.
I think is a SCAM. So, be aware of this!

I just recently as of yesterday this kit via UPS from Zaken, and I also charged the $149 on a debit-card! Yes it's a rip-off!!!! I read over the entire binder book TWICE, and it kept asking you to send more money, and there was no lead lists that was promised in the first letter that was sent out. Anyone looking to reach these deadbeats their new number is (805)262-6700.

Well, I got this letter too. I tried to call his quote unquote personal phone # only to be put into a list of different mailboxes to goto. I have been burnt way too many times too. Not to do some research before I even think of putting money out. After what I have read and seen I will not be putting a dime into this concept. I personally applaud everyone that has at least come to this forum to check into to this.

I just paid in full for the complete program offered by Zaken corp. If what I see on this web site is true then I have been riped off too. I just recieved the 500 post cards with my phone number on it and the web information to carry my customers to me then to Zaken. I cannot find this web site on any "engine" I use. What is a person to do? More money wasted on what was for real?????

I was told about 10 days ago that they would set up a free website for their products. I was to receive information to teach me how to get hits on that website and keep 50% of the profits from any sales. I haven't heard from them. Afte4r a 30 day free trial I was to pay them 59.00 a year after that. What goes on???????

I ordered the Zaken system back in 2003 and followed all the directions carefully and found a seller and made a deal w/ them that would have made me $70,000. After faxing them all the information and waiting a couple days and not hearing anything from them I contacted them and they told me they never received my sheet to receive my payment. I sent them this information three different times by fax and by mail and each time they said the same thing. In the mean time i called the seller only to find they had used my information to purchase the material I had located and bargained for. Is this a scam..... the system works wonderfully Zaken works crookedly.

I purchased the Zaken program back in July 2007,and I never received the Kit(after numerous complaints)I finally received the kit om 12/17/07.I have contacted who were very interested in selling thier merchandise, but after I mentioned The ZAKEN Liquidations they told me that I have been ripped off,and that Zaken had no interest in buying any merchandise. They all told me the same story. They were contacted by a Representative and agreed to a price, but no one ever returned to seal the deal.So I am returning the program with the hope that I get my money back.SURE I WILL.I WILL LET YOU KNOW!

Cat Doesn't Wish to be Killed...Yesterday 7-27-07 I received a nicely written letter asking for I believe 149.00 to become an agent. I would receive a kit with flyers to be mailed or delivered by any means not to sellers but to possible buyers. send flyer to prospective buyer, he decides he wants to buy something from Zaken on the cheap. he gives them an order for some amount on some form of goods and Zaken sends me half the profits they receive. this sounds way to good and way to easy. has anyone else receive such a letter. this seems to differ as it is putting buyers in touch with Zaken rather than sellers. that just must be less work and aggravation. the word profits is used specifically. that leaves many doors open for discussion. fifty percent of the value of the sale or selling price is different from profits. I'm almost ready to bite, but not quite. Has anyone else received this particular letter and acted on it? I would love to know the reality here. the letter seems logical a... read more »

I to fell for the $149.00 deal where buyers purchase from Zaken and you split the profits 50-50.I mailed out the flyers, handed them out, left them at carriers, advertised in business mailers, and hired people to distribute them. That was a year ago-to date, I have seen NO profit. Recently, they sent me the liquidator offer for $149.00- I phoned them and asked to switch my membership to their recent program and was told they couldn't do that or they would LOSE money. I must pay them another $149.00. I explained to them I got nothing from the first program, why should I waste more money on this more recent program (I since learned both programs were being concurrently offered, but not to the same customer/sucker-aaaah live and learn-avoid dealing with this company.

Nothing Yet...Sounds like a good deal especially the 70% for the lifetime directory. yeah they moved to 2610 Conejo Spectrum in Thousand Oaks CA the number is 805 262 6700. they sound nice and this sounds good, but my "free leads" I ordered on 19 November have yet to arrive. I guess there is none or the post office messed up. I accept all sympathy from those giving it to me for this. I badly hurt my shoulder cant work for six months and needed a nice income to support my family so I tried this. I would recommend this if Zaken Corp wasn't so badly publicized. Good luck to those trying it.

Too taken for Zaken...I received the same "get rich quick" letter from Zaken this week. Between the BBB, the Rip-off Report, and good common sense, I am passing on this one. Too many fees, too much bad publicity, too many what-ifs. Good luck to all who venture.

Hi Don Cantrell,
Yes, I also received the same letter as you did several weeks ago, and I am also ready to bite. But "buyer beware" also sticks in my mind since I've been ripped off sooo many times by scammers. I think I'm going to bide my time on this one and see if anyone has actually used this program and what the results were. If you've started it already please let us know how you made out!

Dear Sirs I have lately purchased a quick sell program from the Zaken Corporation .I have read it twice and I see its logic I have sent them all the requirements like printing letter heads, cards, envelops, special cards of introduction securing a web site for me ,and a life time leads program they have sent me their new address and telephone numbers ,and Fax in a separate sheet of paper I have also according to Zaken recommendation paid for a voice mail frankly until now I don't see anything that indicates they are scam artists time alone will tell, I have tried to send an e MAIL TO ZAKEN UNFORTUNATELY IT was not received and returned to me I have previously sent 164 dollars to purchase an agency from them and then they came up with the idea of quick sell so I have sent 149 dollars for that too I am trying to find out the situation I called they promised they will call back so I am waiting for the call and I also want to ask about their e MAIL ADDRESS THEY HAVE MOVED TO 2610 conejo Sp... read more »

A Total Scam...I also sent for the kit to see if they would send it to me. I gave them a pre-paid Debit Card that I don't use since they are not suppose to debit for 30 days. Since there is no money on it they can't get any money from me. I wanted time to investigate and I too have been trying to reach them by phone. I am glad I researched them on the internet to confirm my thoughts. I will be closing this card down since I don't use it anyway . My plan was to put money on it just prior to it being debited if it was legit,.....but it is not...thanks for the warnings.

My only hesitation and question is how does one know when the lead you turn over to the ZAKEN closers comes to fruition. I have employed a similar system for more than ten years and have been successful People tend to listen when you approach them with the idea of buying something from them rather than trying to sell them something.

Hello Fellow Home Business Seekers. I just wanted to say that I myself have had a really Good Business Relationship with the Zaken Corp. My Manual was easy for me to understand and well laid out. I upgraded to where I can Have other people locate merchandise for the Zaken Corp and send the forms to them. Once the transaction is complete you split the profits. I do a lot of promoting via Direct-mail. Anyone who signs up through my Code # I'm sent $100 Check from the Zaken Corp. They even keep track of where the sign-ups are from by the Zip-Codes I receive A monthly Statement of how many people have signed up. So far I myself have had a good working relationship with Zaken Corp. Have A perfect Day.

To JP...
The "stop payment" defense is only good for six months from the date of the stop payment filing. In other words, six months and one day after the stop payment was filed, if the account is still active,
your check can be cashed! You need to go back to the bank and do another stop payment on the same check, if the bank let's you. Discuss it with the bank president, preferably at the branch where your account originated, and do not discuss this with one of the cute young female tellers. They might sound like they know, but they do not know. Get it in writing from the bank that they will not cash the check ever! Oh, yes. Probably, you should have waited the 30 days to claim your money back. In closing, I think the Zaken corporation is a good deal for retired people who have another income and can wait to make money. If you have a good voice, you sound honest and humble, yet assertive, and you are good with the verbal vomit, you will succeed with the Zaken guys. I am good ... read more »

To JP...
You should probably talk to your bank and see what they can do about the fee. I am sure they can't charge for supplies that you returned. Also, I think it would be better to stop payment on the check. I'd would personally rather make a $30 mistake more than a $162 dollar mistake. Good luck!

Zaken Makes a Tempting Offer...I sent for the "starter kit" offered by the Zaken Corporation, through a flyer in the mail. I am endlessly seeking an opportunity to be a successful mail order businessman, so I sent the $162.00 check, (that he promised NOT to Cash) for 30 days...What could I lose but the $8.00 postage to return it, Right?? Uh, No, wrong... After sifting thru the catalogs, instruction sheets, inventory list(s0, I became overwhelmed and discouraged. I repackaged everything.. even the "FREE gifts" he assured the reader that we could keep FREE even if we returned the "kit". Well, After a week,, my postal delivery confirmation number reported that the returned package was REFUSED! WHAT?? i sent it back the same day I received it?? Now do I stop pymt on my check? That is $30.00 fee from my bank! I was mistaken to do Zaken.
