BackgroundAlert.com is a people search website and resource which claims to give people access to important information they need to protect themselves and those around them using public records.
How Does It Work?
BackgroundAlert.com is like many other, similar people search websites, which collect and utilize public records. Public records include information from the internet, social media networks, courthouse, real estate records, driving records, and more.
This website says that they offer the most up to date and comprehensive information available, using public records they categorize as Personal Information, Arrest Records, Address History, Related Persons, Marriage and Divorce Records, Licenses, Sex Offender Registry, Business Partners and Associates, and more.
Users who are looking for information about someone can choose three different methods of using this website. The first is to pay for one full month of unlimited reports for $22.95, or you can choose to pay for three months of unlimited reports for $44.95, which equals $14.95 per month, and finally users can choose to pay for six months of unlimited reports for $59.70, which equals $9.95 per month.
BackgroundAlert.com does have a published Refund Policy, though it simply states that any customer who believes they have a reason to request a refund should contact them as soon as possible, and the claims of each case will be handled on an individual basis.

This company has very mixed reviews, with some unhappy customers who felt that the quality and amount of information they received did not equate their money's worth. BackgroundAlert.com does have a Disclaimer that states that information taken from public records is often flawed and inaccurate, which is through no fault of their own.

After you sign up and pay your money you find that there's an additional fee for the "Premium" service that unlocks the other half of the information. Stay away!
The website is deceiving. It says unlimited for a month at $22.95 and it gives the impression that they will only charge you once. NOT THE CASE. They will continue to charge $22.95 per month until you call to cancel. VERY DECEPTIVE and the reports are not very informative. Dont waste your money!!
I to was caught by the 5 day "trial" before being charged $30. I visited the site and looked up my family as well as all my siblings and their families. . The vast amount of information was inaccurate at best. They have disclaimers for good reason. You would otherwise have cause for lawsuit for the harm done if anyone relied on information obtained from this site to determine honesty, criminal background, alias, address and/or phone #. I will seek a refund. Honestly thought I had cancelled but maybe intended to check some more information before cancelling & forgot until saw I was charged.
Charged my Account for another month
I purchased a one month membership from them and received an email from them clearly stating that it was only for one month. I saw that they charged me for another month without my consent. Makes me very angry. I requested a refund and do not know if I will l get it.
