How Does It Work?
According to their website, the makers of DSTLD Jeans care about providing their customers with a with a "purified" and streamlined jean and jean creation process. In order to meet this goal, they take a specific responsibility for the design, production, and selling of their jeans.
They promise that they use top of the line fabrics, most of which are eco-friendly and fully sustainable. They use only natural dyes and softening techniques, and they promise that all their partner companies have been vetted to ensure that all products are fairly manufactured and completely free of all sweatshop made products.
Customers who are interested in their clothes can simply go online to see their inventory, for both men and women's items. Shoppers new to their company are encouraged to purchase in their item in multiple sizes and ship the pairs which don't fit back to their company, for free.
The website says that though their products could traditionally retail for more than $200 per pair, their jeans appear to be sold at one of two price points - either for $65 or for $85. All orders made in the contiguous United States are eligible for free Ground Shipping as well.
This company says that all their products are eligible to be returned or exchanged within 30 days of the purchase date, as long as they are both unwashed and unworn, and still have their original tags and packaging.

Horrible customer experience and flawed products
I ordered a range of items, over $500 worth - an overcoat, denim jacket, jeans, tees and a wallet. To my disappointment, I received an email within a day or two advising me that every last one of these items was backordered. I asked how long it would be, and said that I assumed I wouldn't be charged until they shipped. Wrong. They didn't answer how long it would be but offered a refund at least. Annoyed that I was already charged, I pressed and asked again, how long? Her response was that the items were "in stock" but that there were more orders than they had product, and that other orders were ahead of mine. In my mind, that's "out of stock". Seems like a pretty shady business practice to me to take money for orders you can't fill. I finally got a vague response that they would be getting a shipment in mid December (a month from the time of the email).
Just out of curiosity, I went back to the site to see if the items were now showing up as out of stock. Nope. You can still add them to your cart, which I did as a test. To add insult to injury, they sent me an email (twice) reminding me that I left items in my cart that I didn't purchase (which they wouldn't be able to fulfill). I also received a 'welcome' email with a 10% discount, which I thought was odd given I've had an account with them since January 2016 and ordered from them 3 times prior (someone needs some new CRM software).
Thinking back to previous purchases the jeans are not all that great. I have 3 pairs all the same size, and two are so tight I can barely get them on, and another is so loose that they fall off of me without even unbuttoning them. I also had the zipper pull break off the first time I went to zip up the first pair I bought. And all three pairs tend to pucker in the fly so that the fabric that's supposed to cover the zipper bulges out exposing the zipper. Not a good look.
Kicking myself for not learning my lesson and ordering from them again.

I will never purchase from them again. Absolutely zero luck with the style or fit or hand of the denim.
WORST of all, when we returned the three pair of jeans, I patiently waited the 7 days for the refund to my credit card and it NEVER came! I contacted them and they acted like it was an error. They finally agreed (after me pinning them down) that if I never contacted them about where my refund was, they would have never credited back my card. This MUST be illegal...to purposely wait and see if your customers ever notice that you fail to credit their credit card??

Worst Jeans and Tees I Have Ever Purchased
Wow - blown away by the painful fit of these jeans - I have returned one pair to receive another in a size up, and still, holy moly these are miserable and awkward on. Just. Bad.
I also bought one of their T-shirts, and it's a square box fit, and short. On the website on models, they appear more tailored at the waist and longer - a slim and lengthening fit with a low V. The shirt to my surprise barely hits my booty in a size Large. It feels as cheap as they come and is, as their jeans, a complete scam.
I tried to review my purchases on their website but there is not an option.....interesting.
Have to agree with customer service complaints
Ordered, instead of shipping in a week, i heard no news for *3 weeks* before writing and being told that they were backlogged and they would send my order immediately.
the items arrive, i try them on and need to send one back for return. I go to their website to print a return label. Won't sent one to my email. I try on another computer and another browser. no luck. (this exact issue had occurred with my previous DSLTD purchase.) Finally I email customer support and they manually send me a label.
I'm annoyed now, but fine.
I package my return item and ship it off. it's now one month later and i've received no refund and see no information regarding return status on the dstld website. Am now writing to customer service for the third time to figure out what's going on.
This is mind boggling for an online clothes company. Cannot recommend them no matter how much you think you'll like their clothes. go buy from bonobos or something instead.
The worst customer service I've ever experienced.
If I could give this company negative stars, I would. I legit never review anything, but I feel the need to warn people.
I ordered a pair of jeans, and the shipping said 3-8 business days. After 10 days, the order still said "processing" and no one had contacted me to give me any sort of update. So, I contacted the company, who told me that actually the jeans were backordered due to a high volume of orders in the warehouse, and that they would contact me when they were back in stock.
I was incredibly frustrated, as I ordered them for something specific, so I told them to just cancel the order and refund me. They said it would be back to me in 5-7 business days. After 2 weeks, the refund still hadn't been posted to my account. It took another 2 days for me to relentlessly contact them before they gave me my money back.
I appreciate small companies who are trying to do the right thing in selling high quality items without crazy mark-ups, but it just seems like DSTLD have their shit together at all. So think twice before ordering.
Not Even Allowed To Purchase.
I've never really reviewed a company like this before (and hate to be this guy), but felt I had to say something because I tried to order from DSTLD 6 times and was denied every time due to a bogus fraud alert in their payment system claiming that my billing and shipping addresses did not match up...which they did. I contacted support and was given the same stock responses each time. They essentially told me that it was my fault and that my credit cards just weren't working which is undeniably false considering I use them everyday including for other online purchases. Throughout these interactions there were no real attempts at further assistance (aside from one rep who forwarded it on to IT with no success). So, unfortunately, I won't ever be ordering from them in the future. Really ridiculous. I've never had trouble ordering online in my life nor received such subpar customer service (especially considering I can't even speak with a real human). Multiple thumbs down.
Customer service has not gotten better
I made a purchase about a month ago for a pair of jeans and 2 shirts. Apparently 1 shirt was on back order and so the whole order is still "processing." I reached out to the company and after a few emails, I told them to credit me the price of the shirt and send me the other 2 items. I checked back on the website and it showed the order was still processing. After 2 weeks, I sent another email questioning the status and got no response.. I told them nicely through email to just cancel the whole order and refund me the money. It has now been close to a month and I have not heard back since our initial email in week 1. I will let you decide if this is something you want to deal with. I will call credit card company to get money back. The pictures on the website do look good. I would not buy from them let alone invest in a company valued at $20+ million. Good luck
Terrible customer service
This company has a nice looking website.
1. They have terrible customer service. Dont expect any reply before 3-4 days. And also they just blame you for your support requests. Incidence:
- I accidentally ordered 2 items to my old address. I immediately noticed it. There is no option to cancel or modify your order on the website. So I mailed them. After 3 days, they replied that they already dispatched the order. I told them as a sender they can intercept the cargo and redirect to a new address (USPS allows it). Instead they told me to find someone in my old address and have it shipped to me. Upon several conversations, I told them to cancel the order. No response till then.
2. Their jeans shrink almost 2 sizes after first wash.
