Flaminke, found online at Flaminke.com, is a new service for home photographers which describes themselves as the "Netflix for camera lenses," giving photographers access to professional grade equipment for a monthly fee.
How Does It Work?
This monthly subscription service is still in pre-launch mode, so there are not many concrete details available for how Flaminke will work once it is fully active for users. However, the video on their website offers basic information.
The video says that once members sign up for the monthly service, they will have access to a catalog of various camera lenses. The lenses you select will be sent directly to your door, and do not need to be returned until you choose.
Once your previous lenses have been returned, you can select new equipment to borrow. In addition, if there is a camera lens you borrow that you wish to purchase, you can buy it from them, using part of your monthly subscription fee as a credit.
Since this company and their service is still currently in pre-launch, or Beta mode, they do not have any information published regarding their monthly fees or the potential cost of lenses for purchase.
As mentioned above, since this company is not yet fully live, it appears there is also no Refund Policy published as yet.
Customer Service Contact Info
Unfortunately there is no contact information available yet either, though they do give interested customers the ability to submit their own email information to receive updates on when the service will go live and other updates.
Since this company is not yet available for members to sign up for subscription services, there are not many reviews available for it at this time.
Competitors and Alternatives?
Though this is a very specific niche service, there are actually other services available that offer similar benefits, including BorrowLenses.com.
