According to their website, Linguotica says that they are the world’s leading online language academy that has worked hard to bring together the power of technology with the best learning experience for foreign languages.
Customers are welcome to use this website to learn popular foreign languages including English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, German, Italian, and Chinese.
Their website says that regardless of what language you are hoping to learn, they will offer you the quickest technique for speaking and writing in that foreign language because Linguotica uses “smart science” to adapt to their users’ personal needs.
Their program will be able to identify the areas of language that are giving you the most trouble and then provide additional sessions for those areas to help you strengthen your memory of the language with “amazing results.”
This company actually does not published their pricing information anywhere on their website at this time. Instead, they ask that customers fill out their native language and then choose the language they are hoping to learn. You will then be asked for your contact information in order to register your account, and you will automatically be given a 7 day free trial of their language program.
In their Terms & Conditions, customers will see that when this 7 day free trial period is over, they will automatically be charged $19.99 at that time and every 30 days until they choose to cancel their membership.
Their website does say that they will provide their customers with access to a 30 Day Money Back Guarantee which states that customers who contact their Customer Service team within the first 30 days of their original purchase date will be able to successfully request a refund and receive their money back.

There are some serious concerns with this website that customers will want to consider before they sign up for a Linguotica account. The first and most important issue is the lack of information this company provides for people.
While they claim to provide the quickest and most efficient way to learn a foreign language, they provide no information or evidence on how they know this to be true nor do they even attempt to explain to their customers how their program approaches learning a foreign language. And if you are someone who has research different foreign language academies and software programs you know that there are many different approaches to learning languages.
Another serious issue is that they do not provide their customers with any information regarding pricing until they have already signed up for their account. This is just irresponsible and is not beneficial to the customer.

There are many different types of online courses and software which attempt to give people an effective way to learn a foreign language from the comfort of their own home, including the world famous Rosetta Stone but also other well-known programs like Rocket Languages, Pimsleur Approach, DuoLingo, and more.

Go use Duolingo or any other software, as it will undoubtedly be better, cheaper, and have better customer service.
Firstly, the learning experience is bad. I tried the French test just to see what it was like and check the accuracy, but to give you an idea, I am fluent (having spent 14 years only speaking French in school) and got about 59% on answers I knew were right, putting me in a beginner category. I tried to contact them via live chat to see if I could be moved up into a more challenging level, but their employee did not even understand my question at all, even rephrased about five different ways.
Then I tried to cancel my trial just before it ended to avoid getting charged for an overpriced program with about 10% of the features of Duolingo, and noticed I had been charged £0.23 for verification on my card in a foreign currency, and been refunded £0.22, as well as being charged £0.50 by the bank for a foreign transaction. I complained via live chat about the incorrect refund amount and not being made aware at any point in signing up that I would not be charged in GBP. She could barely understand me and tried to point to their FAQ saying you will be charged a small verification fee and refunded the exact amount, to which I responded that my issue was not the normal verification checks, it was that it was in a foreign currency which was not stated anywhere. She then stated it herself in the chat that they do that, as if that meant I had received adequate notice before signing up. I asked for the proper amount to be refunded, and she said it is her belief it will be, so I asked for a guarantee that it will be, to which she said she is just there to help customers and can't promise anything. I asked to speak to someone who could make guarantees and be held to them, like a manager or owner, and she completely dodged the question and said there is no one.
I have no idea if I will get my money back from the not-so-free trial, but either way a cautionary tale - you will gain nothing from this software, likely be made to pay more than you agree to in their charges and in bank fees, and their customer service will probably not understand you, or be rude and unhelpful if they do!
