MemoryRate.com is the online home of the Rate My Memory quiz available from Dr. Small, a leading expert on brain health who wants to provide people with the tools they need to improve their memory.
How Does It Work?
The creator of MemoryRate.com is Dr. Gary Small, a psychiatrist and “brain health expert” who heads UCLA’s Longevity Center and wants to give people an understanding of their brain health and how to improve it.
When visitors go to MemoryRate.com they will have instant access to the Rate My Memory quiz, which is a series of questions where you will be asked to rate your level of forgetfulness in a variety of different situations.
Once you have completed the quiz, your results will be emailed to the address you provide for them, and you will then be taken to Newsmax in order to take advantage of a promotional offer, where customers will have the chance to get a copy of Dr. Small’s book, “Two Weeks to a Younger Brain.”
This book provides customers with simple ways to strengthen your memory and mental sharpness as well as different strategies for eating, exercise, and lifestyle habits which reduce inflammation and help you prevent Alzheimer’s.
In addition, customers who order this book will be automatically enrolled in a trial subscription of Dr. Small’s Mind Health Report, a monthly newsletter which will bring you the newest information on mental health, improving your relationships, and other information on protecting your body’s most important organ.
Their website says that customers who purchase Dr. Small’s book from another website will pay $24.95, but those who choose to get it through their website will be able to get the book completely for free and will just need to pay a $4.95 shipping and handling charge.
Customers will also be given the three month trial subscription to the Mind Health Report newsletter, but the website does not actually tell customers what they will be charged once their trial subscription is over and they become automatically enrolled in a paid subscription. Customers will absolutely want to contact their Customer Service team to find out the cost of this subscription before the end of their three month trial, and make sure to cancel it before you are charged if you do not wish to keep it.
Unfortunately it is unclear whether customers will have any access to a refund if they order this product. Because this company sells such a variety of products in many different ways, they do not offer a standard policy that applies to all products ordered through this website. Whether you are hoping to get a refund on the book you purchased or on the cost of the newsletter subscription, you will want to contact a Newsmax representative to see what specific policy applies to your circumstances.
Customer Service Contact Info
Customers who would like to contact Customer Service with any questions, concerns, or complaints can do so by email at CustomerService@Newsmax.com.
Unfortunately it does not appear as though this website or Dr. Small’s book has very many reviews at this time. The few reviews which are available for his book do seem to be positive in nature, but there are actually very few details in these reviews.
In fact, the big issue with this whole promotion is the lack of information. Customers are told that they will be given a three month trial of their newsletter, and they cannot opt out of this offer, but there are not told how much money this subscription will cost them if they fail to cancel before the end of the trial, nor are they given instructions for how to cancel.
In general when a company works hard to be vague about the money they will be charging their customers and how to successfully cancel subscriptions, it’s not a consumer friendly approach to doing business and customers should be cautious.
Competitors and Alternatives?
There are many different websites, books, and guides which promise to help people improve their memory and reduce the risk of memory related illnesses as they age, so customers looking for alternatives to this book and newsletter will have a variety of options which may better meet their needs.
