PrebioThrive is new supplement found on the website GundryMD.com, which promises to help people improve their digestive health and reduce food cravings for junk food or other poor food groups.
How Does It Work?
Dr. Steven Gundry, creator of GundryMd.com and PrebioThrive, is a heart surgeon who created his line of supplements and products in order to bring people back to a state of great health and wellness, and all his supplements focus on what he calls “Holobiotics.”
A simple explanation of Holobiotics is that they are the diet and lifestyle choices that people must make in order to bring their body’s different systems of natural microbes back into balance. PrebioThrive is a combination of powerful prebiotics which are described as being able to feed your “good bacteria” and ultimately starve the “bad bacteria.”
Once your body’s digestive bacteria is back in balance, people will realize that they have a reduction in cravings for sweets and junk food, they will have less gas and bloating, they will have an easier time managing their weight, and will experience an increase in natural appetite control.
All you have to do for optimal results is to mix one scoop of PrebioThrive powder into any beverage and drink it, two to three times each day.
Ingredients and Side Effects
This product says that they rely on three different ingredients for their effectiveness: Bimuno, Organic Acacia, and Agave Inulin. Their website says that these ingredients are 100% natural and safe, and have all been tested for safety, quality, and purity at an independent, 3rd-party facility.
These tests showed no reported side effects at all, however Dr. Gundry always encourages people to speak to their doctors before they begin any new supplement program, especially if you are already taking any existing medication.
Currently PrebioThrive is being specially discounted, and the website is unclear about how long this discount will last. They do say that their regular price for a single bottle is $78.99, but it is now being sold for $49.99 with a $4.95 shipping charge.
They are also discounting their larger, multi-bottle orders. A three bottle order is now priced at $132.00 and a six bottle order is priced at $244.00, both with free shipping at this time.
The website sales page claims that they offer a 90 Day Refund Policy, where customers can expect a refund of the purchase price in the first 90 days with “no questions, no hassle.”
In the past, when Reviewopedia has reviewed Gundry MD products, the Refund Policy was one of the biggest issues, as the website’s Terms & Conditions provided a different policy, saying that refunds were limited to just 30 days with a valid proof of purchase, and that any products that were attempted to be returned after 45 days would not be given a refund or exchange.
Thankfully it appears that they have corrected this discrepancy, and now the Terms & Conditions also clearly states that customers will be given 90 days from the date of purchase in which to contact their Customer Service team and arrange a return or exchange. They still don’t provide a full detailed policy, however, so customers will still want to contact Customer Service as soon as they believe they are considering a return.
Customer Service Contact Info
Customers who would like to contact Customer Service with any questions, concerns, or complaints can do so by phone at 800-852-0477, by email at [email protected], or by submitting them directly to their website through the Gundry MD website’s Contact link.
Unfortunately there are very few reviews available for this product at this time, and those that are available are positive, but they also seem to be mostly posted by affiliate and partner companies.
This product is considered a prebiotic, which is different than a probiotic. When taking a probiotic, you are physically adding more good bacteria to your digestive system, while taking a prebiotic is simply providing the right food for the good bacteria that already exists in your body to feed off of, providing them with a chance to multiply.
Customers should speak to their physician before beginning a prebiotic or probiotic regimen, as they are not actually recommended for everyone.
Competitors and Alternatives?
Customers looking for different prebiotic or probiotic options will likely find too many to count, either online or at your local health food store. Still, you will always want to speak to your doctor before beginning any major supplemental program.

13 ‘PrebioThrive’ Reviews
The formula seems to be aiding some but I amnot completely sure. I lost about five pounds in the 90 day period. I was getting better at including it with a meal each day by the end.
I just started taking this about 3 weeks ago. So it's not long enough to give it any real review. I am "hopeful". I will give a review after I have been on this product after 2 months.
I’m about half way through my first container and have had some positive results. It’s helped a great deal with constipation and a little with heart burn. I’ve had digestive problems for at least three decades with numerous negative test results for a diagnosis. So, I’ve tried numerous things; I.e. change of diet, OTC digestive products as well as herbal remedies. Some work for awhile and then stop. So I’m cautiously optimistic about how Prebio-Thrive will work on a continuous basis.
I like the way the product makes me feel, from the next down. But, after I take it, I get severe headaches with blurred vision for about 2 hours. Does anyone else have this?
Some bloat at first but all in all it’s working as described. Can’t expect a miracle over night so each day will get better. Adding clean eating and moving has to go hand in hand to lose weight. That goes for anything. I have digestive issues and have no choice but to eat clean now. But the bad bacteria is causing extreme hunger cravings which would make me give up. With prebiothrive the cravings are almost gone. The rest is laziness n bad habits without it.
