Smart.ly is a new company and website that says they are the best way to supplement your Masters of Business Arts degree program so that you can “get to the top of your class.”
How Does It Work?
According to their website, Smart.ly has been designed as a companion to your MBA program so that you can better absorb your material and increase your understanding and confidence in your knowledge.
While traditional educational programs rely on text books and lectures, the Smartly program is designed to help you gain skills quickly, with a focus on reinforcing concepts with examples and real world interactive exercises that you complete and receive fast feedback on so you can improve rapidly.
Currently they offer a comprehensive syllabus of classes focused on Macroeconomics, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Operations Management, Statistics, Strategy, and much more, and the website says that their library of classes is always growing and evolving so that it can meet the high standards of the leading business schools they partner with, including HBS, Georgetown, INSEAD, and others.
Currently the Smart.ly website says that they provide mobile applications for iOS devices and will soon provide them for Android devices as well, though there is no information available about whether or not they will provide a mobile application for Windows phones and tablets as well.
At this time the Smart.ly program is priced at $19.00 per month, paid for on a monthly basis. Brand new students will receive a seven day free trial of the program so they can try it out for themselves to see if their format and approach to online education works for your personal needs before you are ever asked to invest money into your membership.
Since this online educational program provides a week long free trial and is priced on a month-to-month basis without providing an option for long term contracts, they also do not offer a Refund Policy at this time. Their system is set up in a way to ensure that people feel comfortable with their format before they pay, and then are able to cancel their enrollment whenever they feel that the program is no longer working for them.
Customer Service Contact Info
Customers who wish to speak with Customer Service about their questions, concerns, or complaints can do so by submitting them directly to their website through their Contact Us link.
Though there are not very many customer reviews available for this company, the few that are available are generally very positive, and it does appear that they format they have chosen to operate in – with month-to-month payments – helps facilitate people trying this program for themselves and gives them a simple and easy to leave the program if they decide they are unhappy with what they receive.
It is important to note, however, that Smart.ly is designed as a supplemental program, to run in conjunction with your MBA program, or some people have said they used this program in order to help them prepare for the GMAT exam, but it is certainly not a degree or even certification program.
Competitors and Alternatives?
There are many other online programs which may work as a supplement to an existing degree program that students are a part of, including courses you may find at the Khan Academy, Coursera, Memrise, Skillshare, and many others.
If you have experience with this company or their products, please leave your Smart.ly reviews below.
1 ‘Smart.ly’ Review
THEY ARE NOT EDUCATORS! They are a placement company attempting to pimp out people with good bachelors degrees to third-parties. They tell you on their site that they will SELL your information to third-parties. Their MBA is worthless and is unaccredited. Since they are NOT a University, they cannot award degrees of any kind. Claiming you have an MBA when you don't is actually illegal.
