Maybe it's only the placebo effect but I've been satisfied with my purchase of the tommy copper tee shirts for my chronic back pain. If I leave them on all the time it feels like my pain works around it, but if I put it on when I'm really hurting it works quite well! (I use KT tape also though and you guys are saying that's a scam too so maybe I'm just "impressionable") I've been very happy with the T's though, so much so that I am considering purchasing the tights now that my sciatica is acting up again.

Time Will Tell?

My wife got me my 1st Tommy Copper shirt for Christmas so I gave it a shot. Went to the store and got 2 caff, 1 knee, and 2 ankle ones. I broke my ankle this past summer and it still hurt in the mornings, so hey what ever i could find to help me out why not! After having it on for only a short time i had vary little pain and could move my foot better then i was able to do before i put it on. Time will tell if it keeps working BUT i must say this so far so good!

Happily Surprised

I’m sure many individuals who are in pain or discomfort wish to find any form of help even if they do not understand or believe in the remedy. I know I fit in this category, for me it has been seven years, too numerous of doctor visits to count, injections, things removed and things installed and pain medications now creating their own issues.

When I started with a new ailment in my knee I remembered the ads for the copper infused compression garments. Even though I am a narrow minded individual I have started to understand we are all energy based and the universe is a mysterious place.

So when I received the knee brace I was surprised when I was able to sleep all night without being wakened or when I was able to stand for the first time in the morning without my knee buckling because of the pain.

Now I still wonder whether the benefits are for the copper infusion or just from the compression. I don’t have a compression brace without the copper so I cannot make an evaluation.

Even though I really like the product there is one thing I do not like and that is the latex band applied. I do like the band because it keeps the garment up but I am most definitely allergic to it.

Maybe Tommy Coppers quality control staff will heed to this issue and come up with an alternative product for such a good practical solution in their design.

Couldn't be happier

A friend of mine told me about Tommie copper. So I thought I'd give it a try. I currently have 2 for my knees and 1 for my Tib/Fib break. Best money I've ever spent. Relieves some pain to where it's managable and that's what I needed.

WORKS GREAT ON MY KNEE!
November 14, 2014
I don't know how this works, but it works great on my knee. I got this a few months ago because I was having a lot of knee pain and feeling like my knee was popping in and out of place. At times, I could hardly walk. And before you ask, no, I have not gone to a doctor to see what is going on with it. Since I got the knee sleeve, all I have to do is put it on and the pain is GONE! It no longer feels like it is out of place or anything. And this all happens within a couple minutes after I put it on. I highly recommend this to anyone willing to give it a try.

Disorganized company, crappy return policy
November 10, 2014
Bought my husband an elbow sleeve, it arrived and inside the packaging was a coupon for some very nice men's underwear (3 pairs for $99). I used the coupon to make a second order, combined with 15% off, and free shipping it came to $81.23. But they sent me 3 pairs of cheap underwear that didn't have the cool waistband logo that was pictured on the postcard! Their customer service must just consist of a few employees because I always have a long hold when calling them. It took 2 phone calls (and 25 minutes of hold time) to get them to send me a return label, of which I am still waiting for. The very nice customer service rep did advise me that I could spend a little more and get the cool logo on the waistband, wow Tommie Copper, didn't I already do that?!

Does it even work .....where's the proof ? Do the honor their return policy .....they say no if you buy from a dealer & probably not from them given all the complaints I've seen . I don't expect to see them around much longer with their over priced gimmicks ! BUYER BEWARE

It works beautifully for me. I think you are facing the age old dilemma of the person, who does not have the original problem, claiming that it doesn't work, whatever "it" may be. In other words, if you don't have any degree of inflammation , resulting edema or fatigue, how can it "work" for you? I have those problems and they are very well relieved. It may also be of greater help to older people who may have less muscle tone and endurance so if you are young, well and fit , without fatigue or its related injuries, you may not have any need for it. So be careful when you say something doesn't work if you don't need it in the first place (I am directing that comment to everyone generally, not to you personally).

Recovering from an injury is work. There is NOTHING you can just put on, do nothing, and you get better. This helps. It is not a pill or an instant cure. Copper is not a gimmick. It helps.

Bad customer service
September 29, 2014
I just read another review from a guy that ordered the first week of September and still hasn't received his merchandise. He was told the same thing I was told when I called.......there was a glitch in the system the day that he ordered. I did not order the same day he did. Must be a lot of "glitches" going on at Tommie Copper. Then I was also told the same old blah, blah, blah, that they cannot cancel an order even though I was told my merchandise won't even ship for three more days. So now I have absolutely no confidence in Tommy Copper. Oh, and by the way, they sure did charge my credit card the day I placed the order. I guess the "glitch" didn't affect them getting their payment. Poor service. Nothing but disappointment and disgust. I plan on going to every review site and letting as many people know as I can. I was also going to be the guinea pig for a group of us wanting to try Tommie Copper. Well none of us will be trying TC because we have a "glitch" of our own now.

I will even if you had to wait a couple of weeks.

The Zebo Pillow was inspired by Tommy Copper.
September 28, 2014
The inventor of the Zebo Pillow is using copper in the bendable design of there travel pillow. To achieve the orthopedic benefits that have been recognized by Tommy Copper. Its nice to see that one company can inspire another for the rehabilitation of all.

copper has been used in healing centuries before Tommy Copper even existed. I like Tommy Copper, but give me a break

shipping is a rip off
September 12, 2014
charge me $15.98 shipping for the “free” second knee sleeve. what a joke

Well they know now!
September 12, 2014
The commercials have given up touting about the health benefits of copper! They still cost too much, but they are holding the "Woo" now, so we all win. We don't act like zombies and stand up to this 19th century snake oil, and it can/will stop!

Sharon Rose May 28, 2015

Almost thirty years ago I had a severe life threatening DVT after surgery in my upper leg. The leggings are great for daily wear and they greatly help reduce the DVT ongoing discomfort I have. For my condition the leggings are great. I will soon purchase the calf sleeve for the leg with the DVT damage. The DVT happened when I was 32. I am now 60 and still walking well. This product is not a snake oil deal - the product line helps my medical condition. For me it was money well spent.

Free 2d Knee Brace is a Scam
September 12, 2014

I can’t believe what a rip-off and scam it is to charge me $15.98 shipping for the “free” second knee sleeve.

I received my order on Saturday 9/6 and all four items were in the same package that was shipped for the mailing rate of $9.98. You ripped me off for the added $15.98 postage fee.

I was planning on ordering more items Copper Wear but you can forget about me ever doing business with your company again.

Tommie Cooper womens ankle socks
September 5, 2014

I am a nurse on my feet running for 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week.

Floors are concrete and long halls. I would come home from work with severe pain in my right foot from a previous fracture. Could not sleep, when pain pills didn't relieve the pain I tried the Tommie Copper socks. I wore them day and night, it took about a week and a half and the pain was gone! Couldn't believe it, I now use the short along with sock because of arthritis in my right hip. I work without pain and no longer need pain medicine. I know its pricey but to me its worth it.

Beware of company ripping off Tommy copper
August 25, 2014
I ordered--by mistake--from copperware not tommy copper recently, not knowing it is a rip off of tommy copper. I got my order and it wasn't anything like Tommy Copper. The knee braces are too short and they sent me 2 wrong sizes. I understand these braces come from China. Don't be fooled as I was! Make sure which company you're ordering from.

ALICE THOBY February 22, 2015

yes i almost made that mistake until i went on the tony copper site to check it out first and found out it was the other site i was looking at

knee sleeve
August 13, 2014
I have used the knee sleeve 8 times and the plastic band at the top has cracked and split all the way around and will not stay up now.

I was not a believer
August 6, 2014
I was not a believer, and considered the whole copper thing as voo doo . I don't know if the knee pain has been lessened because of the support, or the copper, but I have allot less pain. My suggestion is give it a try.

Anybod notice
June 17, 2014

In the reviews it would seem like ESL is a class not fully completed. For the record Copper is not magic, nor has it ever been cited for health benefits other than it's far healthier to use in piping than led is. So... if you want to buy these compression socks, good on you! If the sardonic jerk who thought these up wants to sell you led infused socks, please don't buy them. These will simply relieve you of your money. Placebo is a powerful feeling, and maybe if you believe hard enough they will work.

Let me beat everyone who has been paid to comment about my ignorance, so here goes!

You dnt evin try to socks, tommy coper did this for all of every one! But thes scocks thy will fix you! Make thes good for yor helth tri dem you no want to give dem bak! Good for helth, you luv!!!

Penny Kuebler Poitras June 28, 2014

For someone so preachy about proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation... you should proof your tirades... it's lead, not led!

Melinda Lockwood June 29, 2014

Thank you for mentioning it before I had the chance to do so! : )

John Smith July 31, 2014

we purchased ankle , knee & calf. prior to our purchase we did some research on the pain relief properties of copper. what we found that this method of pain relief was discovered almost a century ago. depending on your pain tolerance that will determine what effect these types of product have for pain management. we have found that this works for an old special operations combat medic 16 year case officer & station chief finishing at camp Perry as an instructor combined 39 years working for the U.S. the cost is nominal give one area of joint pain a try it's worth it

Susan Pohlman August 30, 2014

led is to lead someone. lead is also a metal that used to be used in pipes and other materials.

Susan Pohlman August 30, 2014

I highly recommend, before convicting others of their poor grammar, that you really use a dictionary. It's obvious you are a product of your own comments.

Carole Williams-huggins September 11, 2014

Let us not JUMP on a possible ''typ-o''. Didn't see the forest for the trees??,,It was a valid opinion/comment.

Cathy Carey January 07, 2015

LOL; not funny. And perhaps the reviewer should enlighten (educate) himself on the placebo effect; belief is powerful medicine.

Buyers Beware
June 16, 2014
Buyers beware. Never refer a friend unless you hate them. Never purchase any of these products. There is NOTHING about them that's any different than a sock. The positive feedbacks come from people that are paid by TommieCopper. to say positive things about the products. Check the similarities of the feedbacks. These products are so stupid and a waste of money. Plus the sizing is all wrong. Better order 2 sizes smaller than their suggested size. I will contact BBB in response to their scam.

Elizabeth Buzzelli August 22, 2014

i don't work for the company. I'm not paid to say anything. I have worn the knee brace for an arthritic knee for over a year. My knee barely hurts, unless i forget to put the knee brace on. I won't do any walking or working without it. I don't know why the vitriol against a product which obviously works--at least for some conditions. It works for me, I'm on my third set and now wear the compression shorts when I work to help my back by pulling in my stomach. It's all good and so much less cumbersome than most braces.

Tommie Copper Scam
June 7, 2014
Went to the Tommie Copper website to make a large purchase. They advertised 10% each referral. So I left 3 referrals, placed the order and got my discount. Then a couple of days later they cancelled the order without even an email. Paypal contacted me to let me know. I called them and they stated I had cheated the system some how and that they could not honor the discount. But yet they got 3 referrals out of it. Seems like they are running the bait and switch scam. They make a promise, get what they want, then cancel the order or withdrawl the promise. NEVER order from them directly. I did order the elbow brace from another source and it seems to be just a piece of cloth. Nothing special to it. So don't bother with any Tommie Copper products and certainly not them directly.

Vincent Trupia June 15, 2014

Their sale structure is set up as a timeshare type of sales infrastructure were if your order is more or less then the referrals you placed or the referrals act on the same offer they would be upside down in time but on a another subject all the apparel here is Just re-branded Muller Medical braces similar to what large food chains do to get there own generic brand hope this helps I wold take it step forward and report the company to www.bbb.com since their listed and have over 10 complaints concerning similar issues but all are not resolved. Hope This Helps!
