About True Key by Intel Security
True Key by Intel Security, found online at TrueKey.com, is a new software program which promises people the ability to “sign in without passwords” using fingerprint or facial recognition.
How Does It Work?
According to their website, True Key says that their software protects your passwords by scrambling them with AES-256, which they describe as being one of the strongest encryption algorithms available.
Customers will then be able to decrypt and access their information with the factors they choose. First, customers will always be verified by at least two factors, generally facial recognition and fingerprint, and then they will be able to customize their profile with further verifications if they choose.
Whenever customers sign in on a designated “trusted device” they will be able to instantly get access to all accounts that they normally need a password to access. And Intel Security says that they always respect their customer’s privacy and they will never share or sell any of your data.
Intel says that this software is compatible with iOS, Android, Windows, Internet Explorer, Chrome, Mozilla FireFox, and Microsoft Edge.
Currently this company is offering their customers the ability to store up to 15 passwords with their full set of features and syncs across all your devices completely for free. Customers who need the ability to store more than 15 passwords will need to upgrade to their Premium Subscription which offers unlimited password storage at $19.99 per year.
It does not appear that there is a specific Refund Policy that applies to this software but rather customers will need to adhere to the general Intel Refund Policy. This policy states that customers who are not paying monthly charges for their software will be able to receive a refund if they request it within 60 days of the original purchase date.
Customers who wait longer than 60 days to submit their refund request will no longer be eligible for a refund. They will be able to cancel their membership if they choose, but they will still have their subscription until the end of the year’s membership.
Customer Service Contact Info
Customers who would like to contact Customer Service with any questions, concerns, or complaints can do so by clicking on their Help link and then using the Contact Support link to submit them directly to their website, or customers can choose to contact them through their social network platforms, like Twitter.
Surprisingly it appears that the reviews of this software are very consistent whether they are coming from technology blogs and websites or whether they are coming from actual customers who are working with this software.
The general idea is that True Key by Intel does exactly what they say they do and they do it well. Unfortunately, people feel that this software simply doesn’t offer their customers enough in terms of what it actually does. The biggest concerns of customers seems to be that this company doesn’t offer to automatically save passwords, to share passwords, or to export passwords.
Prospective customers will need to decide for themselves if this password software offers enough features for them to feel comfortable with the yearly cost of this software.
Competitors and Alternatives?
As mentioned above, there are many different types of password software available for customers who feel like this product won’t actually fit their specific needs, so customers are likely to be able to find an option that will work for them.
